Finaly decided to write this haha!

Party on saturday was epic!!!

Groovecity is one of the biggest  indoor dance events  in Belgium. U’ve got  4 rooms: DNB, Electro, Techno, House, a lot of people and just gooood vibes This year was Groovecity’s 10th aniversary so huge names were lined up. and they came and they played and i suppose everyone had a great time..ok besides those who end up so fucked up that they have to be taken to the hospital..yea well i guess some dont know their limits. to bad for them :-s

Sooo got there with Ms. M and JJ and we went straight to the DNB room where Netsky was playin.he’s a belgian newcomer but wearing a hospitality records t’shirt & playing a lot of hospitality records..he sure got the key to succes^^. dunno if he already signed with hospitality(too lazy to look up for that) but sure seems like…ok his crazy loopy liquidy set was also very nice went right where it’s supposed to xd

Moved to the techno scene for a bit..of course: i have no ideea who was playing there at that time, but there was this nice lady spinning a colorfull poi just in front of us.i like that. i can easily trip on it ^^

All night we moved around but we spent a lot of time in the DNB room.Next to play was DJ Fresh and ohh how fresh it was. excellent mixing,well chosen tunes …hypercaine feelin all the way!!!met this nice lady who was quite excited to be there, but werent we all? :p anyways, she had a big smile on her face, dancing and talkin to people and aaaaaa she had the best sticker ever on her bag;it was saying “minime <3 DNB" haha. i want that too, but of course i want everything :p

Last but not least was Shy Fx & i must say OMG: jungle, dub, dnb all in one set, it was from far the best show i ever attended + sweet people i had with me = amazing.

Dawn: tired enough, ok not me (cus of the 2 coffes i had) but maybe my friends :p so checked out the electro room..nuthing much there. i have the feeling there is no electro like "rock me on electro", but i might also be wrong as i'm new to all the electro thingy…time shall say!
For the end went to the house room…wow house music changed since i used to listen to it.anyhow, at least the room was beautifull haha.

Time to go home: outside was raining cats and dogs but we managed to get to our destination..almost, cus there was a misunderstanding there..but well, finnaly we got to go home..

First time was a banger, so i'll see ya next year dear Groovecity!!!

Last night

in Japan

we had the hell of a fuck!

I wish Izzy would wake up. She’s sleeping right now, and its 10:00 AM. There’s nothing wrong with this, but I’ve been up since 7:00 AM. I want her to wake up so she can explain to me what happened last night. I’m not quite sure, as I was sick and passed out unbeknownst to myself, and she could add some clarity to my night. I’m pretty sure in my sickly stupor, I took my TV off of its wall mount and tried to hook my PS3 into it, so that I could play PS3 in the bedroom. I think I spent a good hour not getting it to work, until I looked up online that Playstation3s “remember” their last display mode (which would be HDMI in the living room), and if your new display mode (Composite cables in the bedroom) is different, you have to hold the power button on the PS3 to reset the display. A sweaty version of me was quite pissed off. I played FinalFantasy7 for like an hour before saving and turning it off, only to switch on some old eps of Aqua Teen. This is where my memory of the night ends. I WANT ANSWERS!

Twilight was better. However, the last scene makes the rest of the 2 hours and 11 minutes worth watching. My favorite part with New Moon was the “opening” to the third film. Yes, this has got to be one of the best cliffhangers ever and the entire crowd was screaming their lungs off right here. Even if the film didn’t quite live up to the expectations the hype around it lifted the actual movie by steps. Like, when we were on our way to the cinema the only thing you could here was “EDWARD!!!” and the only thing you could see was teenage girls with NEW MOON printed all over their foreheads, haha(!). In the actual theater people *cough* teenage girls *cough* wouldn’t stop WHOOOO-ing whenever there was a shirtless scene with Jacob or Edward (which pretty much was 50% of the film). I swear New Moon is worse than cheating on your boyfriend. Though I must say I was a little disappointed with Robert Pattinson’s (nonexistent?!) abs. Like WTF was that? Even if he doesn’t have any today’s technical wonders should have been able to fix that, right?

That being said, I WANT ECLIPSE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never had any particular interest in electro music, electro rock, rock electro ..whatever^^, therefore i never went to an electro party, i think the occasion just didnt come up. But lately i met some new people and one of them told me about this party.at first i didnt care that much to be honest:)) but after all the advertising (thanks Mr.C!!!) that was going on and all the talking about how mental this party would be i’ve decided to give it a chance.

Together with Ms.M, we’ve put our ‘ nurse costumes’  and went out to have a drink before the party..get in the mood if u know what i mean . Of course on our way people asked ur help but unfortunattely for them we weren’t trained for any kind of help^^ so we just ignored everyone.it was kinda like when u ignore those idiot builders who, frankly, i dont know why do they bother yelling stuff at women when they pass by the street..like ..do they really think a girl would say ok to whatever crap they ask? cant get that pff.

Back to last night, as we were entering the bar this guy came out and that really disturbed me. and u’re  wondering now why would that disturb me, as it’s normal that people come out of bars, but what u dont know is that this Mr.was hmm one of those people whom u meet and like and with whom u begin something , but than they dissapear and just when u forgot about their existance they freakin come out of the bar u’r entering, remembering u that they are stil alive.Soooo i felt a bit weird, but that didnt last long cus we headed directly to the absinthe bar as Ms.M wanted to see fairys last  evening haha, and then Mr JJ and his friend joined us so everything was just fine What was next: alchool up to the head checked, some pictures that u might never get to see :checked, party mood: checked.

We moved to the place where the party was.A nice welcome banner written in ‘blood’ was saying that “you’re all animals”. i found that preety cool and it was kinda like a clue that the party will be mental , “Skins”like mental Inside,not that many people but they were on the way and as soon as it got growded it became even more fun: the music was really nice, people were dressed up like pro’s some of them..ah yes cus i forgot to mention the party had a theme: “H1N1″..so imagine doctors and nurses, a lot of blood and some viruses also haha.

Party stated artist were playin, people were drinkin dancing an enjoying themselves. i can’t describe it that well using words right now..or ever:) so here are some pictures to tell the story of a MENTAL party!!!!!

I loved it ,it  was like LEGENDARY and i got contaminated This was the second edition of “Rock me on electro” so now i cant wait for #3.so Mr.C u have do do something about that ,soon!!

Over on the Live for Films forum ( a great place to chat about all things film if I do say so myself) a few industrious souls have started the Live for Films Movie Club.

Basically, someone nominates a film – it can be any film, but usually one that many people may have missed – Everyone watches it on the nominated weekend and then head on over to the forum to discuss it.

It is still early days, but it seems to be going rather well. It should have been done a lot sooner, but I know mention it here for you all see what you are missing. Basically if you love cool, maybe slightly obscure films then this is the thing for you.

So yesterday it was some sort of  WAR at my place.bombs dropped people were hurt..and i ended up beein in a very lousy i hate life state..totally  opposite to how i normally feel…didnt had any particular plans for the evening  but there was this kinda huge party that people were talkin about , party that, during the day, i’ve decided not to attend.but just the tought of stayin on the battlefield made me sick. called my best friend(Ms M)and as a best friend should be she accepted instantly to go for a drink,cheer me up and stuff^^

out we met Mr.H and his mate.had some drinks, alchool went fast up to our heads , problems were forgotten.. or at least ignored.we were feelin fine till i realized  Mr.H’s mate was very loud, excited or something, he was acting kinda like in those youtube vids where they mix cocke and mentos..him beeing the explosable mixture (or whatever they want to show us in those kind of videos) =)). not to add he became quite rude.pushing us and drinking from our glasses.i realized that people were lookin at our table as we were some freaks.so it was time to go!!!

i was in the mood for party so we quit the guys .Ms.M went home cus she had a ‘hard’ day celebrating her B’day for the second time( ah yes sweet people get 2 b’day partys ). i knew some people who were already at the BIG party in the central station of my city so i headded to the centrum. after a trip in the tram,who went the wrong way!!!! finally got to my destination where my surprise were dozens of policepeople who wouldnt let me, and others, enter the party.. i was quite fucked.out alone is not a cool place when everyone partys up inside!!

not long till a guy asked a cig and i dont really know how we got to talk. me, him and 4 friends of his. we hanged around the central station like one hour but those damned policepeople still wouldnt let us in , tho i bet it was not full inside..

so there we were me and 5 really nice guys (as i learned during the night) in the middle of the street with no good party to go to! we said “fuck it!” and went to have drinks in bars that were still open at that hour..very late..like 3am or something.had a really nice time and im glad with my decision of goin out after the crappy day i’ve had!!!!!

so there u go! take chances !nice things can happen.not everythings black. life’s colorfull. enjoy it even when u think u can’t!

ps: i need to get some sleep. in order to accoplish my biggest plan ever..haha i bet u would like to know what it is!well u wont

So.
I had a plan last night. An after-the-movies-plan. And the plan was to go home -ALONE- as the INDEPENDENT person that I am (was). You see, you think you get stronger with the years. I have this theory that the older you get the more immune you get to things such as horror films. Boy was I wrong.

Not only did Paranormal Activity scare the hell out of me. But it also made me freakin’ CODEPENDENT. I can’t do anything alone anymore! So if you’re wondering why I didn’t blog last night was because Nazy and I slept at Tina’s place. So much for independency… although it was good while it lasted. I wonder how long it’s going to take for me to get over this since it took 2 years to get over Chuckie.

There was also some additional cinema drama (besides from the screamfest I unwillingly participated in). This guy behind us was annoying the entire salon by continuously talking on the phone, talking to himself and talking to THE FILM. I didn’t have the heart to tell him the film probably couldn’t hear him and therefore wouldn’t respond but I did have the heart to laugh at him when he was thrown out by the staff and their flashlights. And guess what he had to say in his defense? “But her feet stink!!!”(about the girl that got him thrown out).

Weird film. Weird people.

*Nuggets  were beat mainly by a lazy 3rd quarter and Brandon Jennings doing his best rookie of the year impression. He had 32 points – and back to back threes to hold off the nugs after they cut the lead from 10 to 1 late in the 4th. Overall – a 3-3 road-trip to the east coast is not bad – but not exactly what you want to see from a team supposedly committed to a title run. Needed a better rebounding effort and better defense in critical moments. Bright spot may have been JR (earl) scoring 18 off the bench with a combo of drives and long range shooting.

*Avs and Blackhawks played their 3rd shootout game in a row…this time Anderson could not stop 2 goals in the shoot-out and the Avs only gained 1 point. Too bad these teams only play one more time this year and its not until April. they are similar in terms of youthful energy and make for really entertaining hockey. If they play each other in the playoffs…I might just have to arrange a trip to Chicago and watch it go down with the Wachal in his full ‘Hawks gear (you have a Towes jersey…right?)

*Real News…One less bigot in the media, in-depth look at the various “collateral” damage on the troops at Ft. Hood since the Iraq war, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine’s Jesuit education has not moved him to stay death sentence yet…and he did not want to start with the notorious sniper  shooter (reminds me of the West Wing episode when Bartlet goes through the same thing)

A quick thought on all the Denver teams in action:

1) Broncos suck…its all over – McDaniels is a fraud (this is what would have been said if any of our firs three games would have gone this way – instead – its a bad offensive effort against a really tough team that should give everyone a bit of a reality check and re-focus)

2) The only thing more amazing than scoring 133 points was giving up 123 – Melo bested Mayo in a scoring fest – there is no one in the league save for maybe 2-3 guys that can match Melo on any given night right now.

3) Less shots allowed- but even fewer put on goal – the first of back to back losses for the Avs means a similar reality check to the broncos – also – is this the performance that convinces Sacco that Anderson needs at least one night off every now and then?

Well last night was a blast just to get that out there. Started the drinking session at 7pm and I was home just after midnight the room was spinning making me feel ill so I had to head home. I’m such a light weight but hey at least I had a good time! I should have some photos of the night later hopefully. If not it will be tomorrow but either way you will see them.

Hope everyone had a fabulous night. I’m paying for mine right now with a hangover but oh well..

Good morning(?) everyone!

What a night yesterday! We started with drinks at some random bar in Kungsholmen. After that we went to the Halloween party that was held at Clustret. Even though we got there pretty early (it wasn’t even midnight) the line was exaggeratedly long. We stood in the line for around 10 minutes without moving anything at all. And then suddenly when Nazy and I were in the middle of exchanging a couple of words with the guys in front of us we were dragged out of the line and next thing we knew it we were inside the club. I don’t know exactly who knew who, all I knew was that the dance floor was waiting! A couple of hours later when we found out the club was closing in less than half an hour it got somewhat depressing. Mainly cause it felt like we had just arrived. So we maximized our last minutes on the dance floor until the lights went on again. Shit, how time flies when you have a kick-ass time.

As for the performances throughout the evening (rapping & “fashion shows”)… no comments. My personal opinion is that the event would have made it better off without those performances but then, it made us laugh. And as long as we’re laughing, does it really matter if we’re laughing WITH something or AT something? Hehehe.
