Whilst searching inventory for which Bare Rose creation to choose, I happened across the Night Magic set, and at first was going to feature the white for some wistful romantic character, but something about the skirt shape with it’s slight bustle put me in mind of classic literature, and, when I tried on the black, Dickens’ young widow, somewhat down on her luck and lacking a “proper” place in society sprang to mind.  Incredibly, I found that I actually had a widow’s bonnet in inventory, and the Laughing Academy boots despite their splash of colour in the trim, were a good enough match to stop me from rushing out to buy new footwear.  The cameo necklace seemed appropriate, but I don’t have a SLURL to give you as this piece was a gift and I couldn’t track down the creator’s store.  I’ve dropped her an IM and if she responds with an up-to-date location I’ll be sure and update.

Just to add to my hyper mood yesterday, the talented Siddean Munro of SLink had new goodies for us – skins and boots.  I’m not sure which I love most – thankfully, I don’t have to choose and can wear both!

I’ll be talking about the skins in more detail in the next few days, so for this post, I’ll be mostly squeeing over the boots!  Just look at them in all their shiny goodness!  I simply couldn’t resist going all out sex goddess – the platform sole, super slim heel and tight, perfectly wrinkled PVC positively demanded it!  The Dawn body from Insolence’s Misty Line collection was my first port of call, and once I’d added the flogger, I couldn’t resist changing my hair colour to co-ordinate.  The new Niobe style from Diversity was just the thing.

After finding my inner sex goddess, I took a trip into my VR Fashion folder.  These clothes are not for the faint-hearted (especially when you see the toys the fetish side of the store sells!), but damn, they’re foxy!  The Fantasy dress features a high buckled collar and the tightest of bodices, the shadow of the navel visible through the fabric, the sleeveless top and panelled skirt leaving plenty of skin on show.

And just look at the boots!  No heels!  Apparently Victoria Beckham has been seen sporting a pair of this design RL.  There’s no way I’d try it in RL myself, but talk about the perfect boot for SL!!  You can really see the quality of the texturing on the red pair, the shine and wrinkling just perfect.  The boots are sold with both heeled and heelless versions in the pack, so the choice is yours!

The Licentious dress, also from VR Fashion, comes in a mammoth range of 15 colours.  The Bubblegum pink I thought looked great in contrast to the deep purple of the heelless boots.

This dress is definitely of the less-is-more school, the long sleeves and high collar in stark contrast to the revealing crossover top and the tiny skirt that only covers the front – a cheeky design in more ways than one!!

And finally, just to show you don’t need to dress for the dungeon to wear this phenomenal footwear, a more casual look.  A pretty top and leather pants keep it simple, but those boots will certainly turn heads.

The Bennett II outfit was perfect.  The rich, deep red of the soft velvet top with its luxuriously draped cowl neck was just the thing to make me feel warm and cosy, the lace back adding both glamour and a hint of promise.  The simple slacks are beautifully finished with laced detailing to the hips.  Persona’s simple polished stone jewelry was a great colour match, and as Myllie Writer thoughtfully offers two attachment points for necklaces in the pack, didn’t need any reattachment and repositioning so as to avoid conflict with the cowl.  The shoes with the skull embellishments may be a touch whimsical for such an otherwise restrained combo, but it is October after all!

The texturing superbly integrates the prim elements with the system layers. The rich vibrant red with it’s hint of hot pink is a real head-turner. Controversial I know, but there is so much by Ginny Talamasca in my inventory that I simply adore, I’ve decided, even though it’s no longer available on general sale, to blog some of it. Why?

1. Style and fashion are not necessarily the same thing. Some pieces never date, and I do love my classics. It doesn’t always have to be about the latest release.
2. Fellow Last Call hoarders may be reminded of their old favourites, and possibly some happy memories of fun times wearing them.
3. Perhaps newer residents will be inspired to comb the yardsales and charity auctions in search of that outfit that is perfect for them, and imagine the sense of satisfaction when they find it. I was so thrilled to find this Dazzle dress in the upstairs yardsale at Curio.
4. Maybe newer creators will be inspired by such gorgeous work and we might see a wonderful design we wouldn’t have done otherwise.
5. It’ll make me happy.

Digit Darkes was amongst the contributors with this divine outfit, her trademark sequins combined with feathers and, brace yourself… glow! This, and the other creations are available exclusively at Black Swan for the duration of the event, but hopefully will be placed in mainstores afterwards. When you get there, walk to the end of the hall and click on the “Entry” door, and you’ll be transported to a central pad. If you then sit on the large black feather you’ll find there, it’ll take you directly to the vendor area.

When I first tried this on, I had my viewer set to low, and still loved it. But I always take my blog pics on ultra, and I was thrilled to turn up and discover the glow. It’s a feature that it’s very easy to overdo but this skirt stops just short of being too much, and with Digit’s signature swish, as shown below, it works a treat! The shoulder piece is gorgeous with it’s iridescent plumage, but it truly is huge, and almost impossible to keep out of your face with motion shots, so I’ll be keeping it for events I’m not planning on dancing at. But the way the skirt moves, it’s flow, it’s rhythm, is just heavenly.

I did have a bit of a nightmare trying to find a hairstyle to wear with this, it had to not be big (the attachments have big well and truly covered already!) and also transparency was an issue. After much debate, I finally decided on this sleek ETD updo. I kept my accessories simple also – a beautiful choker from Perturbation that picked up the turquoise notes in the dress and skirt, and these elegant gloves from a Last Call outfit. I tried other gloves still available on the grid, but the length of these and their discreet pearl buttons meant they were just too perfect not to wear.

With the best of intentions, I dressed myself for work and headed for the books. This demure blouse from Simone was just the job, whilst the delicious texturing of the Poison Candy skirt shows off a neat figure. I kept the makeup pretty and pink, picked a tidy style to keep my hair out of my eyes and chose the soft suede of the Maitreya Verve pumps to complement – not terribly sure they’d fall into the category of sensible shoes tho! I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy the wonderful Greta glasses from Artilleri for a while now, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity. For fear of being too strait-laced, I finished off with the Corseted Choker from Trixie’s Treasures, subtle but still a little naughty!

And that naughty side of me couldn’t stay hidden for too long. After hitting the books, I loosened a couple of hair pins, undid a button or three to reveal a glimpse of the deep red of Insolence’s Melanie bra, and rummaged in my capacious handbag (aka inventory) for my sexy leather pants from Adam n Eve. I just adore the texturing of these, a subtle sheen, giving the impression of the softest fine leather, with subtle creases in just the right places. I took advantage of Tuli’s half-price storecard offer this last weekend, and indulged myself in the Emily fatpack – the Sultry makeup was perfect to add a splash of colour to the lips and smokiness to the eyes, before heading to the nearest bar.

Quick aside here – I’ve used a blouse from Last Call, sadly no longer available direct. Some bloggers would disagree with using an item that’s no longer on general sale. My point of view is that I blog for fun, not as a commercial tool, tho certainly if somebody likes something I show and heads off to buy it, great – anything to support quality content creators. But if I happen to have the perfect item for an outfit in my inventory already, I’m going to wear it, regardless of whether or not it’s generally available at the time.

A few Cosmo’s later, and time to head home to peel myself out of the leather pants, throw on a comfy mens shirt and shake out my hair. The Melanie lingerie is, as to be expected from Insolence, exquisitely detailed – beautiful embroidery, discreetly flattering shading, and the neatest possible edging with minimal bleed. Judging from other lingerie and swimwear manufacturers, avoiding bleed is one of the hardest things to do, and Camilla Yosuke does it just marvelously. The final touch that I just couldn’t resist was the fun boudoir slippers from Angels. And now, after my busy day, time to climb into bed for my favourite threesome – me, Ben and Jerry!!

Kein Scherz Wissenschaftler können nicht Hundertprozentig garantieren, das bei den Experimenten die Sie, ab September 2008 im gerade gebauten größten (und mit 8Miliarden Dolla Teuersten Wissenschaftlichen Gerät) Teilchenbeschleuniger in Cern , machen nicht auch ein Schwarzesloch entstehen kann das die Erde in 4 bis 50 MillionenJahren oder 5 Milliarden Jahren auffrisst, je nachdem ob sich das Loch linear oder exponentiell ausbreitet. Es wird zwar erwartet das wenn ein Loch entsteht es sich wieder auflöst, aber das ist nicht sicher.

Das Problem ist man hat einfach keine Erfahrung mit Schwarzenlöchern.

Unglaublich das man sowas machen darf. Auch wenn ich persönlich auch nicht glaube das die Welt untergehen wird, sicher kann ich mir nicht sein und hier geht es nicht um die Schweiz oder so sondern um die ganze Menschheit, die Erde und auch das ganze Sonnensystem.

Ich meine man sollte noch solange Forschen bis man sich 100% sicher ist, selbst 1 zu 1000 000 000 000 wäre ein zu großes Risiko. Wir können uns noch nicht von der Erde trennen wir beginnen gerade den Weltraum zu erobern. Oder man macht es auf einen Raumschiff das außerhalb des Schwerkraftfeldes unseres Sonnensystem weg fliegt. Das würde zwar sicher noch ein paar Jahrhunderte dauern, aber was soll besser auf Nummer sicher gehen wir sind ja nicht in einer Pokerrunde und auch mit 2 Assen kann man verliere.

Aber die Atombombe war ja auch sicher solange man nichts von Radioaktivität wusste.

Nicht falsch verstehen ich bin ein Befürworter der Wissenschaften nur bei Dynamitproduktion ist früher manchmal eine Fabrik in die Luftgegangen, bei Atomtests sind Landstriche für Jahrtausende verseucht, und bei der suche nach higgs könnte der ganze Planet für immer futsch sein und eine zweiten haben wir nicht.

Auch wenn ich gerne wüsste ob es jetzt Higgs gibt oder nicht!
