It’s a special edition of Eye Candy Friday dedicated to “The L Word”. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it was a Showtime series about lesbians that ran for 6 seasons. I absolutely loved it, except for one thing. It didn’t exactly portray lesbians in a realistic light. For one, they were all lipstick lesbians…even the butchy one (Shane) and the fattest person on the show was Kit (straight/secondary character). Granted when they introduced Max, a trans FTM that evened it out a little.

Oh well…if they weren’t hot I couldn’t do a blog post about it…

Rachel Shelley

Helena started out as a really controlling rich bitch when she came onto the show (not an original cast member) but once her eccentric mama cuts her off she becomes relate- able and frankly more human. Plus she had a sexy accent. Mrow.

Best Quote: “The desperate… what?” (After a straight woman references “Desperate Housewives”)

“
Jennifer Beals

Main character (arguably) Bette Porter. Self-involved, selfish, a control freak and perfectionist. A bit of an elitist snob. Sometimes I loved her for her sarcasm and the way she’d put things when she was pissed. “F*ck you Jenny Schecter. F*ck you.” Oh sure, she cheated on Tina and you had to hate her for that but then Tina started dating a man and that seemed to even things out with the gay audience. I know, I know. Still.

Best Quote: “This is Los Angeles. There are same-sex families on ever f*cking street corner! She was born in this f*cking hospital, and both of our names are on the f*cking birth certificate! So, why don’t you just give us a f*cking break you straight, bureaucratic maggot, and get our daughter to see a God damn doctor! Please?”

Tina Kennard. Bette’s significant other. I have a love-hate relationship with this character. I’m glad they ended up getting back together in the final season. Tina went from being a weak willed woman who relied far too much on her SO into someone who could stand on her own to feet and be her own person instead identifying solely as someone’s spouse.

Best quote: ”‘…Bette…’Hey poor tard! How’s your two moms you big gay-mo?’” (After Bette suggests a combination last name of Portard)

Hated her at first. Alice, (as Dana so aptly put it) was trying to have her cake and eat it to. Oh that storyline where she dated that guy who was a lesbian. Yeah, not a guy who joked he was a lesbian trapped in a man’s body like most straight guys say (so clever). He was a man, who called himself Lisa and acted like a woman. I don’t know when I started liking her so much…maybe it was because she was sleeping with Dana and it was kind of cute.

Best quote: “Oh no, I cannot take Cruella DeVille this morning. Do something… uh… pretend I’m upset.”

We already know I have a huge crush on Erin Daniels. I loved her character Dana and was PISSED when she died. I think most fans were, just because it was so easy to understand the character. Her fear of coming out to her parents, the fear of being famous and out. Oh my God, her first crush on the “soup chef” was so adorable and she’s so lame about the whole thing. Reminds me of me, actually. Except she’s much hotter.

Best quote, “Don’t look at me like that. I don’t want to have sex with you and some woman. I’d rather just have sex with the woman. I’m that gay.”

Lauren Lee Smith

The Sou Chef, Lara Perkins. Dana’s first girlfriend. H-O-T. I have had a crush on Lauren for AGES, I just think she’s perfectly lovely. I loved her in “Pathology” where she went from being sweet and aggressive to being evil and murderous. I still found her attractive, does that make me weird? It probably does. I got to see her in a Canadian flick, “Lie with Me” which is completely and unabashedly about sex. You see her naked, a lot. Kind of shattered the illusion for me, since she was so boney and whatnot. I think several times throughout the movie I yelled “EAT A DAMN SAMMICH!” at the TV.

Best Quote: “You could kiss it and make it better.”

Oh Shane, you heart breaker you. I normally don’t like the manlier girls, and Shane is very guyish…but she’s The Fonz. Women can’t resist Shane…straight or gay you are powerless against her charms. You kinda had to hate her for dating Jenny in the final season though. You want to just shake her or slap her silly…and then make out with her… ….ahem.

Best quote: “Spaghetti girls. Straight until wet.”

Only appearing in 4 episodes is Kelly Wentworth. She’s hot. In that I’m-crazy-and-will-stab-you-if-you-call-me-Jessie-Spanno-love-you-forever-never-leave-me-I-will-stalk-you sort of way. What? That’s a type of hot.

She doesn’t get a quote…only 4 episodes, she never said anything memorable, just catty.

Mmm non-lesbian lesbians. Oh, except for Leisha. Mmm lesbian-lesbian.

Okay okay one more…not with the theme but Cortejo brought this to my attention and it was enough that even Smelly Guy had to come in for a closer look.

She’s a Judo champ. She’s a model. She’s freakin’ hot. We don’t know her name, but I would let her rough me up any day of the week.

“Poison, Drowning, Claw, Or Knife. So Many Ways To Take A Life.”

Every year it’s the same, Halloween is my heroin. I literally come crashing down from the binge of October festivities. After Halloween night, if I’m not lying cold, pale and sweating in the fetal position, I’m lamenting in some way that it’s all over. I figured that I could use a little methadone treatment to ease the pain, so I am finally renting ‘Trick R Treat’. I fully intended on seeing this BEFORE Halloween, but just didn’t get to it. What a bloody tragedy too, because this would have been the perfect flick for my horror movie night.

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem… the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety, human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year. (Written by Warner Bros. Pictures)

I’m mystified as to why this film didn’t get a theatrical release in October. What a waste! Considering the immense volume of horror films existing out there, very few are actually set during Halloween night. And fewer still have the quality and entertainment value of ‘Trick R Treat’. Visually the film is impressive. Well shot and stylish with a cornucopia of delightful Halloween props. This neighbourhood really knows how to do Halloween right!

‘Trick R Treat’ is an anthology of five tales that all interconnect. We begin with a Halloween hating wife with a holiday-obsessed husband. In an outstanding opening sequence we are relentlessly teased with possibilities. A group of sexy fairy-tale inspired costumed women on a mission to get the virgin among them laid, is not all it appears. How their story connects to another character is just too fun! A school principal with some nasty pastimes celebrates the season in the most dementedly unique way. A cranky housebound curmudgeon gets a visitor who over-stays his welcome. A group of kids use an urban legend to pull a nasty prank on a local girl. Helping to stitch it all together is Sam, an adorable little sack-headed rascal. Watching, waiting and protecting the sacred traditions of Halloween. Wait until you get a look at his beautiful mug! All the performances are great, particularly notable are veteran character actors Dylan Baker and Brian Cox who greatly enhance the films best moments.

There is a great deal of dark humour throughout the film. There are two schools of horror-comedy in my opinion. There are films that concentrate on the humour to the point of slapstick, making them comedy first and horror second. Then there are those that lace their intensity with a more subtle level of comedy, but can still manage to provide suspense and even scares. ‘Trick R Treat’ succeeds in finding a perfect balance between the two.

I was expecting something more “PG” but I was surprised at the volume of death in the film, including children! You got to love a film that’s not afraid to kill off kids! Although there is ample carnage, gore is generally low-key. There are so many wickedly effective scenes it wasn’t necessary to get gratuitous. Don’t be put off gorehounds! The red stuff is there, plus you’ll be treated to an impressive transformation, pumpkin gore, bodily fluid, and some very nifty props.

It was frighteningly close to getting a coveted perfect dungeon rating. There were two details that prevented that from happening. First, the quarry story was too predictable. Second, enough with the trouble-making, gluttonous “fat kid” stereotype. That said, I absolutely loved how the quarry story connected to one of the other characters. And stereotypes aside, the kid’s scene hits that horror-comedy nail on the head.

This is the sort of film you can watch again and again. Even though the twists would no longer be a surprise on a second viewing, the humour, energy and mood will get you psyched up for the bestest holiday season of the year. ‘Trick R Treat’ is immensely entertaining, well acted, original, funny, and even managed to surprise me. I said in the previous paragraph that this wasn’t going to get a coveted perfect Dungeon rating. But you know what? To hell with that! This film rocked! Highest of recommendations!

a review by Darby O’Gill

It’s Halloween night, a night full of tricks and treats. Well, mostly tricks. But, the real treat is finally getting Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat released. I know it’s not the theatrical release we were all hoping for, but it is finally out on DVD. In the spirit of Creepshow, Trick ‘r Treat takes four tales from one Halloween night and intertwines them into one fantastic story. It’s like Robert Altman and Wes Craven had a baby, and named it Trick ‘r Treat. Take a high school principal moonlighting as serial killer, a young woman searching for the perfect date, a childish prank that ends with disastrous consequences, and an old man that learns the true meaning of trick-or –treat, and what you have is one hell of a ride. Trick ‘r Treat was made in 2007, and spent two years just trying to get into theatres. It was receiving rave reviews at all the horror festivals, but for some reason Warner Brothers just didn’t believe in it enough to put it in theatres. It’s sad really. Great movies like this have to fight to see the light of day, but pieces of shit like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, have no problem finding their way into theatres. You know, there was another little horror film that was made in 2007 that couldn’t seem to find distribution. It was a little movie called Paranormal Activity. Ever hear of it? Maybe this will finally make Hollywood wake up. Most likely not, but it would be nice if other little movies like these would finally be given the chance they deserve, and not have to fight for two years just to see the light of day. I know. I know. It’s never going to happen. But, let’s get back to subject at hand. Trick ‘r Treat is a must see. With an amazing story, some brilliant cinematography, and fantastic performances, Trick ‘r Treat is a guaranteed Halloween classic. Oh, I haven’t even mentioned little Sam, the trick-or-treater demon that oversees the night’s events. He is a greatly welcomed addition to the Freddy and Jason’s of the horror community. I really hope they make more of these. I can’t wait to see Trick ‘r Treat 2! I just hope next time it’ll be in theatres on Halloween night, and not just a straight to DVD blow-off. Warner Brothers is sitting on a goldmine. They could make a new Trick ‘r Treat movie every year like the Saw franchise, but I guess we’ll just have to wait for them to realize that on their own. Until then, we’ll just have to keep fighting the good fight.

Sadly, that’s it. One bonus feature, if you can call it that. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool to see the animation short that became this movie, but come on! This movie had an incredible journey for two years, and you’re not going to do a commentary track for the feature film?! How about some behind the scenes footage, or maybe some deleted scenes? Hell, I’d be happy with even a trailer at this point! My only guess is that Warner Brothers was really on the fence about putting it in theatres, but at the last minute pushed it to DVD, and wanted to get it out before Halloween. If that is the case, we’ll hopefully get a Special Edition DVD at some point, but until then it’ just sad.

Anna Paquin as Laurie

Last night after watching Trick ‘r Treat with some fellow horror cinephiles, I pondered on and discussed what the modern horror era might look like in twenty years. Outstanding horror films have been made since the dawn of film but horror, unlike many other major film genres has had some long dry spells of five, ten, and even fifteen years. Furthermore, horror has had some terrible quality work being brought forward to audiences from the very beginning. The conclusion that came to mind was that the 1930s and 1970s are pretty much the most generative decades for the horror film, that is along with right now. We’ve seen great horror films surface slowly since the early part of this decade and now it seems we see about five or six great ones among dozens of only slightly worse films, but altogether far more redeeming than those released in the 1990s, every single year. And it took this little Halloweenie movie to really convince me that we are in the midst of a horror renaissance.

A scene from Trick 'r Treat

Trick r’ Treat weaves several different creepy stories about zombies, serial killers, werewolves, vampires, and a miniature pumpkin monster. It is directed and written by Michael Dougherty, whose previous screenwriting credits include X2. Dougherty is unquestionably a name to watch out for. The film stars some notable actors like Brian Cox, Dylan Baker, Anna Paquin, and Lauren Lee Smith, and its supporting cast no doubt holds some untapped talent, especially for its child actors like Britt McKillip and Samm Todd. However, the films greatest strength is its style. From the great special effects, seamless CGI enhancements, Elfman-esque soundtrack, distinct cinematography, and consistent bombardment of Halloween imagery to tie it all together, Dougherty has crafted a nearly perfect movie destined for cult-classic status.

From left; Brett Kelly with Dylan Baker re-channeling his Bill Mapplewood from Happiness (1998)

Great horror movies are not always necessarily the films that look to scare and disturb you first and foremost, but films that tell a story that might remind you of when you were once scared of ghost stories. Trick ‘r Treat provokes many memories of Halloween past and is saturated with Jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, ghosts and costumed children and adults alike. It is a massive celebration of that time of year, but by the same token it is still a creepy and suspenseful movie at just the right times. It is a wonderful and careful balance that very few horror filmmakers even bother to acknowledge.

Samm Todd as Rhonda

It is dreadful to hear that films like Saw VI will clean up at the box office this Halloween, while a great little film like Trick ‘r Treat is left to fend for itself as a straight to DVD release. I can only hope the masses will observe the praise and acknowledge this film’s merit, and that Trick ‘r Treat gets the last laugh, however unlikely that may be. What a shame, but show business is all too often a booming business and an abysmal show. Trick ‘r Treat was made to please the horror cinephiles out there but its mass appeal is undeniably present. It is a non-stop entertaining journey and its style is such that it has the potential to remain timeless.

My rating is 5 out of 5 stars.

Written and Directed by – Michael Dougherty

Starring – Quinn Lord, Brian Coz, Dylan Baker, Leslie Bibb, Rochelle Aytes, Anna Paquin, Moneca Delain, Tahmoh Penikett, Lauren Lee Smith, Britt McKillip, Isabelle Deluce, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Alberto Ghisi, Samm Todd, Connor Christopher Levins

This one was much better than I thought it would be. Since this one is much more ‘big budget’ than most of the films at the fest I had assumed we’d be treated to a typical Hollywood horror flick. Thankfully it’s better then the typical garbage they churn out.

There’s four stories in the movie but it’s put together into one film. Some of the stories don’t go from start to finish and, instead, are blended with the other stories in the film. It’s always fun to see a character from one story bump into another character from the other stories and you get plenty of those moments in this one. Some characters are even in more than one of the stories and they all contain the character featured on the poster, Sam. He’s a creepy little kid and whats hiding under that mask of his was pretty freaking cool.

I can see this one becoming one of those flicks that groups of people get together to watch when the Halloween season comes calling. It’s fun and bloody and was great to watch. It’s not the same old stories that are usually used in Halloween type flicks and the one featuring Anna Paquin has a great twist in it that’s really entertaining. Now it wasn’t my favorite of the fest but it was up there and I’d recommend this one for that Halloween party I know everyone is already planning out there.

And after plenty of hours of waiting I managed to get the Q&A with the director uploaded, check it out at the end of this post.

BATMILK

Brandon Blommaert, 1 min

Having your symbiotic brain die on you can suck, but that’s no reason to frown.

Uhhh, I’m not really sure what was going on in this one but it was interesting to watch. The animation in it is really well done and it was just weird and funny. I’m not really sure what else to say about it HAHA! but you can watch the whole short online and give your own feeling on it. Check it out right here.

Ah yes, the moment I have been waiting weeks, no, months for! The first 8 films that will show at Toronto After Dark Film Festival this year have been announced. Since their website is only providing a brief synopsis of the films so far, I’ve gone out of my way to provide all you guys with some trailers and some info on the films. There’s a couple I’m super excited for, a few that sound very interesting and a few that don’t really interest me at all right now. That’s pretty much how it’s gone every year for me. Usually I’m surprised by how much I enjoy some of the films that I wasn’t really looking forward to. Anyway, on to the previews for all the flicks. It’ll be a long read today! I’ll start with the one that I’m the least interested in and work my way down to my favorite.

Let me warn everyone in advance that some, if not all, of these trailers can be pretty graphic. Lots of blood and some boobs and butts here and there. They probably aren’t very appropriate for small children. So send those tiny people outside for some sunshine and than enjoy the trailers!

When an armored car heist goes bad, “Black” goes into hiding. His cousin lets him know about a stash of diamonds in a poorly guarded bank in Dakar.”Black” then decides to take a little working vacation in Dakar.

According to the site it’s “a nouveau-blacksploitation adventure awash in, black magic, African mysticism, mutant arms dealers, gargantuan machete-wielding mercenary armies and a truckload of knuckle-sandwiches.” I checked the trailer which I couldn’t find on youtube for the life of me but have the link for the site here instead and wasn’t really blown away. Since the site itself is calling it a ‘nouveau-blacksploitation’ I think I know what I’m in for. It may be great, I don’t know, it just happens to be the least interesting to me at this point. Check the link HERE for the trailer, sorry no subtitles for it though.

Written and Directed by – Gerald McMorrow

Starring – Eva Green, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Riley, Richard Coyle, Bernard Hill, Art Malik, Kika Markham

A story that takes place in contemporary London and a future metropolis. Four lost souls on parallel worlds are headed for a collison course where all their fates are decided with one bullet.

The few comments I’ve come across so far claim this film to be extremely boring. I don’t normally care for random comments from people I don’t know. There’s too many factors that could change their opinion of the film and everyones taste is different. The trailer doesn’t blow me away but the idea sounds interesting enough. I also liked the look of the masked detective in the future city. Kinda sounds like a movie with lots to say and I’m wondering how well the message will be delivered.

Directed by – Chad Ferrin

Written by – Chad Ferrin, Roham Ghodsi, Rosie Roberts

Starring – Noah Segan, Andrea Rueda, Ezra Buzzington, Timothy Muskatell, Vernon Wells, Lew Temple, Ricardo Gray, Jon Budinoff, Silvia Spross, Elina Madison, Jordan Lawson, Joseph Pilato

A group of drug addled, sexual deviant med students are terrorized by The Hoppers, a man and woman who have mysteriously returned from the 70’s.

Here’s what will probably be one of the hidden gems of the festival. A throwback to the days of grindhouse flicks, I imagine this one will be a shocking one. The trailer suggests some very uncomfortable ways to die and that poster isn’t trying to hide any of the facts. This one has got to be pure midnight madness and looks to contain alot of funny, sick and creepy stuff going on.

Written and Directed by – Michael Dougherty

Starring – Quinn Lord, Brian Coz, Dylan Baker, Leslie Bibb, Rochelle Aytes, Anna Paquin, Moneca Delain, Tahmoh Penikett, Lauren Lee Smith, Britt McKillip, Isabelle Deluce, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Alberto Ghisi, Samm Todd, Connor Christopher Levins

4 seperate stories that are woven together through the use of Halloween and a little kid named Sam.

These compilation flicks usually work out in the end because if you’re not into one of the short films, there’s still 3 others to change the tide. I know there was an older film by the same name and I had thought that the Sam character had been in it as well but beyond that there is no similarities. It’s got Anna Paquin in it so I’m at least looking forward to watching her in action in something other than True Blood. I’m guessing this will be an almost straight up slasher flick and I’m always down for one of those.

Directed by – Joko Anwar

Written by – Joko Anwar, Sekar Ayu Asmara

Starring – Fachry Albar, Marsha Timothy, Ario Bayu, Tio Pakusodewo, Henidar Amroe, Verdi Solaiman, Putri Sukardi, Ade Firza Paloh, Atigah Hasiholan

An artist finds a secret organization whose members watch dysfunctional families in their town through hidden cameras. When the artist sees a troubled boy he attempts to save him which leads to the discovery of a hidden door in his own home.

This one gives me a slight ghost feeling and brings me memories of Alone. I honestly don’t know what to think about this one. Something about the trailer interests me and I’ll make sure to see this one. It’s an Indonesian film and I’m usually impressed by any foreign effort, they always seem to have their own twist on genre’s.

Directed by – Jose Mojica Marins

Written by – Jose Mojica Marins, Dennison Ramalho

Starring – Jose Mojica Marins, Jece Valadao, Adriano Stuart, Milhem Cortaz, Rui Resende, Jose Celso Martinez Correa, Cristina Ache, Helena Ignez, Debora Muniz, Thais Simi, Cleo de Paris, Nara Sakare, Giulio Lopes, Eduardo Chagas, Luis Melo

A gravedigger searches for the perfect woman to bear his child.

This one is apparently the conclusion for Coffin Joe. I know the name but beyond that I know nothing! I think I should be slapping myself for that and will begin my mission to find everything about Coffin Joe. What I do know is that the trailer is sick. It’s full of really gory violence and even some nudity. That alone intrigues me enough to really want to see this one. Even I wasn’t prepared for the violence in the trailer and it made me go back to the beginning of this post and put a warning in. Gorehounds everywhere should be happy!

GRACE

Written and Directed by – Paul Solet

Starring – Jordan Ladd, Gabrielle Rose, Samantha Ferris, Malcolm Stewart, Stephen Park, Serge Houde

A woman insists on carrying her child to term even after the baby has died. Once born, the baby returns to life with an appetite for human blood.

I’m sure everyone has heard of this one by now. I know I have and I was hoping it would be at the fest this year. I figured it would but decided to keep my mouth shut so I didn’t jinx anything! I keep hearing about how good this one is and the trailer proves to be quite a creepy thing. The flies everywhere and that plinky, tinkly piano. Brrrrr, sends some chills my way! I’ve heard reports of people fainting at a screening which I always take with a grain of salt. I’ve never seen anyone faint from watching a movie but if it at least made some people walk out, I’m in for that one!

Directed by – Yoshihiro Nishimura, Naoyuki Tomomatsu

Written by – Naoyuki Tomomatsu, Shungiku Uchida

Starring – Eri Otoguro, Takumi Saito, Jiji Bu, Erina, Sayaka Kametani, Yukie Kawamura, Sayako Nakoshi, Aya Nishisaki, Sayo, Eihi Shiina, Takashi Shimizu, Kanji Tsuda

I have been looking forward to this one the most. Yoshihiro Nishimura directed Tokyo Gore Police which showed at the fest last year. Toronto After Dark still has 9 more movies to announce and I don’t think there’s anything they could come up with that I want to see more than this one. If you’ve seen TGP than you know exactly what to expect from this one. Blood spraying everywhere, guns in places there shouldn’t be guns, limbs strewn about, just pure, over the top, cartoon action violence. I’m sure it will carry the same flavor that made me enjoy TGP so much and I cannot wait until this film graces my eyeballs!

There you have it, the first 8 films announced for the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. I’m just wondering what surprises the next 9 films hold for me. This is an impressive lineup already with only 1 flick I wasn’t really interested in. I’m still on the fence about Franklyn. With Vampire Girl VS Frankenstein Girl and Grace showing this year, every other movie could be garbage and I’d still be the happiest gorehound out there. The next round of films will be announced on the 29th of this month (I believe) and the festival kicks off on August 14th. Just a little over a month for me to prepare.

I’ll be doing my best to bring you guys reviews for almost all of the films since I always end up missing one or two. I’ll also be trying to get my hooks into festival director Adam Lopez for an interview as well as getting as many of the Q&A’s as possible on video. I’ll warn you now though, I’ve only got a hurting little digital camera to take video with so you’ll have to bear with what will probably be some terrible looking video! Anyway, I’ve been writing this post for 2 hours now so I’m off to take a break.

Under the marquee (patiently holding my breath till the fest) – Will

Aí eu morria do coração, gente!

Veja o trailer do episódio que foi ao ar na terra do tio Sam aqui.

A tale about life and death.

Aspiring doctor Ted Grey, played by Milo Ventimiglia, is excited about his residency at one of the most prestigious Pathology programs in the country. But he has no idea just how exciting it will get.

When the elite students think they know everything, nothing holds a surprise or mystery anymore, what else is there to do? A game comes to mind. A rather morbid one, but after all they are all working in Pathology, cutting open dozens of bodies a day. To really get a kick out of something it has to be extreme. How about committing the very thing they are supposed to solve? Murder.

A small group of the best students gather and try to up each other with the perfect, untraceable murder. Grey gets sucked in and as is typical for such scenarios can’t back out when he wants to. More extreme measures have to be taken.

This has got to be one of the most enticing, appaling and fascinating films I have seen in quite a while. The emphasis is not on the splatter, slasher, gore component, but the psychological mindfuck that is going on. Milo Ventimiglia and Michael Weston are great as the two antagonizing forces from the start. The supporting cast is solid with a stand out performance by Lauren Lee Smith, who had me enthralled and chilled to the bone at the same time. Creepy and powerful performance.

Overall a must see. Not just for the great performances, but the thoughtprovoking subject matter. What exactly makes a serial killer? There is a fine line between insanity and genius. A rather disturbing and unsettling thought. Highly recommended film.
