Los extraterrestos son buena gente

Probablemente extraterrestres habrán raptado los jóvenes en esta noche. Probablemente los jóvenes habrán desplegado sus carpas en el bosque y habrán tenido una fogata. Con la luz del fuego los extraterrestres habrán sabido donde habrán estado. Habrán esperado hasta que el grupo de excursionistas se acuestan. Quizá habrán emponzoñado el grupo con un somnífero para no lo despertar. Cuando el grupo habrá dormido, los extraterrestres habrán venido y raptado los jóvenes con el OVNI. Seguro que están bien ahora, pero los extraterrestres no quieren dejar los libre, porque probablemente quieren hablar con ellos del nuestro mundo y cultura. Es posible que puedan hablar nuestra lengua porque hace mucho tiempo habrán estudiar nos.

Avistamiento de ovnis en Málaga

Mucha gente piensa haber visto ovnis en la noche de 23 de junio. La verdad es que era una fiesta de ‘Noche de San Juan’ en la playa cerca de Málaga. Per eso la gente encendió muchos fuegos para celebrar estas ceremonias. Algunas personas que no supieron eso, inesperado vieron unas luces en el cielo. Naturalmente fueron estas luces los fuegos de la fiesta, pero probablemente estas personas creyeron que estas luces fueron ovnis. Este es la más lógica explicación del fenómeno paranormal.

Nuestro diseño se llama ‘despertador eléctrico’. Es un objeto para despertar personas que no despiertan de sonidos. El despertador eléctrico es de metal y es fácil de usar por toda la gente. Es necesitamos tener una cama con un colchón con muelles en espiral. Fije el despertador con el accesorio a la base de cama. Enfoca el tiempo en el que te gusta despertar en la próxima mañana. Cuando el despertador eléctrico suena, tenga que levantarse inmediatamente. Las descargas eléctricas pasarán a través de su cama y no podrás permanecer en su cama. El despertador eléctrico es rectangular o redondo y disponible en los colores rojo, negro, y azul. El producto es disponible en los almacenes más grandes.

De gekende accordeonist (en gewezen radiopresentator) Werner Michiels en zangeres Laurie hebben een nieuwe show. De doelgroep zijn vooral senioren, Okra’s en rusthuizen. Het gaat om een originele betaalbare show. Ze brengen vooral “tijdloze melodieën”. You don’t need to tell me how lucky I am.

I have a roof over my head, great medical care and I’m surrounded by people who love me.

And don’t think I forget how very lucky I am to be alive at all. Why did I get to go into remission? Why me? I am indeed very fortunate.

But there are times when I do feel sad that I will never put this cancer behind me. I feel the toll ongoing treatment takes on my body and my emotional well being.

So last night I stood in my kitchen, with my head on my husband’s chest (we say we were built for each other. My head lands flat on his chest and tucks under his chin). He put his arms around me and we just stood there, breathing together.

He didn’t need to say anything. He understood my frustration. Only a few hours before I was finallly feeling sharp and healthy and energized. And then, after chemo, I stood in his arms, feeling sick and more than a little shaky.

He didn’t remind me how lucky I am.

But I know it.

Life is funny.

This morning was perfect weather for a bike ride. The sun was out and the temperature climbed to 17C (that’s 62.6 in American). It was my first time on the bike in more than a week – since before the plague toppled my family, like a series of dominoes.

It was a fun ride, and I didn’t even mind the big hill I have to climb on my way to the hospital. I arrived twenty minutes after I set out, a little sweaty and with my heart pumping. As I locked up and headed into the cancer centre, I noted with pleasure that I hadn’t been coughing.

“It feels good to be healthy.”

I very nearly said it out loud.

I was suddenly struck by the absurdity of my situation. Here I was, going to get my bloodwork done the day before chemo and thinking about how healthy I am.

Three years ago, at almost exactly this time of year, I learned that my cancer had become metastatic. I don’t think I could have imagined this day, when I’d be riding my bike up Smythe Rd. and thinking about how healthy I am.

So, as I was saying at the beginning of this post – life really is pretty funny.

Los derechos humanos

Estamos en favor de los derechos humanos. En el mundo viven muchas personas que no tienen buena perspectivas para sus futuros. Queremos que afianzen las mismas oportunidades para todo el mundo. ¡Exigimos que se tomen medidas! Cuando cada uno puede ir en la escuela… Cuando todas las personas tienen la posibilidad para vivir… Y cuando toda la gente puede ser libre e igual… ¡todo el mundo tendrá una reál oportunidad otra vez!

Algunas soluciones

Creemos que los abusadores tenan que castigado muy firme. Debe ser una mayor y mejor control internacional, porque hay muchas cosas, como traficantes y refugiados, que obrar a nivel interacional. También opinamos que seya mas informacion sobre el sujeto y que la gente seyan informado mejor. Entonces saben lo que es un delito la violación de los derechos humanos. Pero sabemos que esta muy difficil hacer un fin de la violación de los derechos humanos.

American Graffiti | George Lucas, 1973

Many uneducated film-lovers may believe that the bearded writer/director came to fame with the groundbreaking release of Star Wars in 1977 but he had become a big name years before this, mainly due to the release of American Graffiti, which pulled in five Oscar nominations and placed his name firmly on the map. With much the same theatrical entry into fame as Richard Linklater had in 1993 with Dazed and Confused – at least similar when considering the nostalgic values behind their respective efforts – Lucas littered his film with young and unheard-of actors/actresses, many of who would go on to greatness, including a cameo from a bright-faced Harrison Ford (an actor who would go on to star under Lucas so memorably, four years later). Just as with Dazed and Confused, American Graffiti takes place during one long and exciting summer night, and really helps invoke a spirit of a young and carefree time for America. Curt Henderson (played by Richard Dreyfuss) is an intellectually-charged individual who is, like most of his peers, worrying about the future. We open on a conversation between him and fellow graduate Steve Bolander (Ronny Howard), who seems, unlike Curt, to be looking for some kind of preamble to college life. He has a steady relationship with his girlfriend Laurie and can’t quite justify throwing this away, whereas Curt in comparison wants nothing more than to escape the home life he has since grown tired of.

This initial introductory exchange sets the tone for American Graffiti and helps construct an arc upon which the story can then weave. We are very much observing a coming-of-age tale here; as the night melts away our two characters swap their respective viewpoints, showing exactly how confusing and daunting such a time can be. Much of the film is split between the varying fares of the young gang: from meeting at the roadside diner, they go off into the night seeking differing fortunes. Curt looks to relive the life he has witnessed thus far by visiting his favourite haunts, whereas Steve attempts to go out with one last bang – and not lose his girlfriend in the process. John Miller, the jock of the piece, cruises the “strip” looking for a means to vent his anger, while his good friend Toad attempts to wow passing fillies with a stunning new set of wheels. American Graffiti presents all these characters as specific personalities with which we can relate to a certain degree. Lucas is clearly intent on simply emulating this feeling of dawning independence, impending adulthood and the loss of youth: his film paints a nostalgically fun and insightful portrait upon such a life, one that is less concerned with messages and more with creating this feeling of adolescent wilderness. All of this is complemented by the pleasing sixties’ aesthetic, making American Graffiti a rewarding seventies homage to sixties America.

Za co kochamy doktora House’a/Hugh Lauriego (czasem powody się przenikają, czasem odnoszą się tylko do GH lub tylko do HL)?

• za jego NIEBIESKIEEEEE oczęta;
• za jego uśmiech, kiedy już zdarzy mu się uśmiechnąć;
• za skrzętnie skrywaną pod zarostem wadę zgryzu;
• za to, jak świetnie wygląda w pogniecionych koszulach, zwłaszcza w błękitnych, pogniecionych koszulach, chociaż różowe, białe i czarne też są w porządku;
• t-shirty również rządzą;
• oraz najcze;
• i brak krawata, co go niesamowicie odmładza;
• za genialną mimikę, niepojęte, ile ten człowiek ma w asortymencie wyrazów twarzy (cóż, Laurie to w końcu urodzony komik);
• za rozczochrane włosy, do których zawsze miałam słabość;
• za angielski urok, przezierający nawet przez gruby filtr amerykańskich produkcji telewizyjnych;
• za to, jak seksownie wygląda, jeśli spojrzymy na całokształt;
• za to, jak bardzo jest daleki od ideału… co czyni go bardzo bliskim ideału;
• za sarkazm!!! sarkazm to jedna z najlepszych rzeczy ever!;
• za szczerość;
• za cynizm;
• niekiedy okrucieństwo i bezwzględność – tak, nawet to może być sympatyczne… w wykonaniu niektórych;
• za to, że mówi na głos rzeczy, które większość z nas tylko myśli;
• za przenikliwość;
• za nieporadność w kontaktach międzyludzkich;
• za to, że cierpi – taaaa, współczujemy mu nawet, jeśli się nie przyznajemy;
• za głęboko skrywaną wrażliwość;

• za to, jak jest do każdego z nas podobny;
• za to, że jest uzależniony;
• za to, że uzależnia.

A jeśli chodzi o wady Hjuuu… jest jedna, poważna. W serialu mówi z udawanym amerykańskim akcentem, co jest niewybaczalne, choć to nie jego wina. Po prostu sądzę, że jego oryginalny akcent z południa Anglii jest maksymalnie uroczy. Nadmienię, że niemal każdy akcent brytyjski odbieram jako uroczy, w przeciwieństwie do każdego akcentu z US. Ale to nieważne. Laurie rules.

Nawet w 6. sezonie, z krótkimi włosami i długą brodą, choć wygląda znacznie gorzej, wciąż jest fajny.

In the mid to late 1900’s guys wrote in to the newspaper to ask questions of Anne Landers and Dear Abby when they faced tough issues.  In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s  there questions changed to radio with the likes of Love Line and magazines like Cosmo and Maxim.  But its 2009 – and we are in a whole new wave of social media – one where you can get answers to your questions in hours or days – not weeks or months.

Not too surprisingly,  our pre-launch response has been great (Thanks in huge part to the HR Happy Hour)

How do we know that?  Well, honestly it is the fact that so many guys emailed us asking us to be the “voice of the man” on the show.

So – here is the run down – We are hard at work getting ready (see the pic – working soooo hard) to officially launch the website/blog 11-1-09.  Starting then – we will be addressing your questions and other topics related to relationship issues each and every day!  Until then – we are continuing to get some pretty crazy questions (all of which are confidential)  and look forward to getting even more!

So if there’s something I really want to go to, it’s the Olympic Winter Plays in 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. I would love to experience the ambiance there and watch all those sporters on top of their game. Especially as a dutchie, I love ice skating. Not only because we win all the time, haha!

But that’s not all! The country will also be showcasing its musical talented, which will take place in the Olympic’s 2+ week run from February 12-28.

Names are: Broken Social Scene, K’Naan, Stars, Joel Plaskett, Steve Earle, Laurie Anderson, Martha Wainwright, Blue Rodeo, Iron & Wine, Corb Lund, Ron Sexsmith, Joan As Policewoman, Wilco and Sun Kil Moon (and many more) are confirmed to be performing at a ‘Olympic related event’.
