Agora é a vez do fotógrafo Jean Baptiste Mondino trazer a mágica para a campanha do perfume Rose The One da Dolce & Gabbana com a belíssima Scarlett Johansson (que já fotografou para a marca antes).

Mondino já fotografou várias campanhas famosas de perfumes, incluindo Jean Paul Gaultier “Le Male”, “Le Classique” e “Madame” com a Agyness Deyn.

If you need proof that the bottle is almost as important as the ‘juice’ when it comes to fragrances, you only have to look at the continuing success of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male, the popularity of Diesel’s quirky ‘fist’ flacon and  last Christmas’ surprise seller, Paco Robanne’s  1 Million (a true example of style over content if ever there was one).

And like anyone else I get excited over nice bottles too. Most desirable one at the moment has to be the newie for Hugo Man, artfully designed by Karin Rashid – creator of the Garbo Waste Can and a man with almost as many awards as tattoos.

To make things even more exciting there are only 1,000 of these limited edition lovelies in existence (with only 70 individually numbered bottles in the UK!) so the only question you have is wether to use it or lock it in a safe at your bank.

Fan of Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic Le Male fragrance? Or just of the saucy ads that always accompany it? Well, here’s a pic from the the upcoming  TV ad campaign which kicks off globally on November 13th.

The top selling male fragrance across Europe since 2000, a bottle of Le Male is sold every seven seconds across the world, helped in part by such brilliant ads.

To be honest, though, when I first saw the pic I was outraged – I wondered how someone could have photographed me without my knowledge. It was only when I took a closer look that I realised it is in fact model Robert Perovich, my body double. And here’s another pic of him from the corresponding ad for Gaultier’s female fragrance Classique. Ugly isn’t he?

Now how’s this for good news for fans of Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic Le Male fragrance –  a USB key that gently emits your favourite fragrance as you work! A bit like a really sophisticated Glade Plug In (but with an infinately nicer scent) it’s a brilliant way to improve the air around you (and is especially good if you’re partial to a tuna sandwich at your desk).

C’est un grand compositeur Italien, Vincenzo Bellini, né à Catane (Sicile – Italie) en 1801 et mort en France (Puteaux) en 1835 (et oui, c’est très jeune !) qui est à l’origine de ce très bel air tiré de l’opéra la “Norma” (1831). Le morceau est Casta Diva.

My boyfriend uses this really nice aftershave- Jean Paul Gaultier- Le Male. I just love the smell of it, and it really comforts me, because it reminds me of him (my boyfriend not Mr Gaultier)…

Me and my two girlfriends went shopping and I bought him some for his birthday, because I guessed he’d be needing some more, and I really didn’t want him to run out of it! It came with a free travel sample, and I was going to give it to him with the big bottle, but then I realised that it was exactly the same stuff, so I kept it, and whenever my pillow loses his scent, I spray a little on my pillow, leave it a minute, and then bury my nose in it.

It’s soooo nice stuff! I’m really worried about using it all up, because it’s only a little travel thing, but I’m contemplating spending £30 on a normal sized bottle just to keep for myself and my pillow…It’s funny the other day I went to see him, gave him a hug, smelt his neck, and it wasn’t there! (The aftershave, not his neck!) and I wouldn’t put my face anywhere near his neck until he sprayed the Jean Paul Gaultier. Then I was happy

Randy Pausch Visits Oprah: A Lecture on Living

Randy Pausch didn’t want his last lecture at Carnegie Mellon University to be about dying, but he is, sadly, dying of pancreatic cancer. When he gave his last lecture there, his focus remained on living, or living in the process of dying. Today, he visited The Oprah Winphrey Show and gave a lecture on living. Po kilku miesięcznej przerwie, za którą najmocniej przepraszam, postanowilem pokazać nowe prace. Tym razem ponownie cykl z Le Male raxy 3. Myślę jednak, że to już ostatnie prace z tym motywem.

Dnia 15 grudnia, z wystawy Pop-Synthetic Illumination, w Cafe Kulturalna, zostal skradziony obraz z cyklu “Le Male” (J.P. Gaultier Model Head No. 10) acryl na plótnie, o wymiarach 80×81 cm, werniksowany, opisany na odwrotnej stronie plótna: Le Male/Warszawa/data/ podpis.

George Braque powiedzial kiedyś, że kradnie się tylko najlepszych! Mial rację , jemu także zdarzyl się taki incydent. Jakkolwiek by nie bylo, bardzo chcialbym odzyskać mój ulubiony obraz. Mam nadzieję że to kiedyś nastąpi. W sprawę jest zangażowana policja, która prowadzi śledztwo.
