Hello everyone. My leg is well taken care of, but it still takes long to recover. I wanna share some

Hello everyone. My leg is well taken care of, but it still takes long to recover. I wanna share some good news with you: the medicines ordered in the online drugstore were delivered. Those guys brought me a thick non-transparent bag. When I got it, I made sure that it was ok: it contained exactly what I ordered and all the packages were in a very good condition. As the price was low, I saved a lot of money thanks to this online drugstore.

I showed the page to my son. He approved of my idea and wondered where I had ordered the medicines. I was glad to give him the link and now he is also planning to order some stuff. He was surprised by the price and the opportunity to buy excellent medicines with no recipe. He told me he wanted to order more Tamiflu to protect his family from that H1N1. It seems that this disease is somewhere near to where we live. Well, I’m not really up-to-date with it, as I don’t follow the news. My son told me what they said in the morning news: one can’t pick up H1N1 if he or she already has rhinovirus, which causes rhinitis and other symptoms. I suspected something like this.

I asked someone from my family to bring my bike to the service. My grandchildren are picking it up today to get it there. The closer I am to full recovery , the more it feels like I’m gonna ride it again. Who knows? Patty is not happy about my enthusiasm. That’s understandable))

I called Ted and told him about the medicines I’ve got. He was wondering if they were genuine. I assured him that everything was ok and they WERE genuine. I’m a former medic and I know what I’m talking about. Though today there are many new medicines on the market. But I checked the necessary marking on the packages. Ted told me I’ve ordered generic drugs. It’s almost the same stuff that regular pharmaceutical companies produce, but they are made under licence and the whole production process is observed. Moreover, they are made at the same plants as expensive brand medicines. It’s quite legal. Ted told me that he advised his patients many times not to waste money on expensive medicines in regular drugstores, but to order generic drugs, that are much cheaper. Ted praised my quick wit. I’m gonna order some medicines for Patty in this online drugstore today too. (Let me just recall how my grandson inserted the link into the text)

The weather is quite warm here, it’s typical for Maricopa County. What else do old people need but warm and dry climate. Nevertheless, it’s rather cool at night. What else can I tell…

My elder son goes to Tucson too often. He sais it’s for his work, but I say that he probably goes there to see his secret GF. Patty is mad at me for that, but I’m just joking.

Probably, when I get better, I’ll go to a boarding house somewhere in California to recruit a little. I don’t wanna leave Patty alone for a long time. But my kids insist on my going there. Well, maybe…

Ok, I’ll write in here some more next time. Somebody drove up to the gate. Sorry.

I’ve been noticing something lately about the Spanish people. Many of them have physical probl

I’ve been noticing something lately about the Spanish people. Many of them have physical problems with their legs. I would guess that 30 to 40% of the Spaniards I see have leg issues. Granted, I was never good at guessing how many M&Ms were in the jar so I could be wrong, but it probably is a fairly high percentage.

My question is, why is this? My first thought was that it was the cause of inbreeding. Lol. But I’m sure that’s not the real answer. Meseret suggested it was because of the water they drink. But I drink their water and I have felt nothing. Perhaps if I had drunk the water since birth I would be different, but I’m not sure that’s the answer either. Maybe it’s because of the shoes they wear and how they’re always walking on cobblestones. I’m sure those streets have caused more than one sprained ankle. Anyways, I just found that interesting.

Time is ticking down till I go back to my other home. Meseret doesn’t like talking about it, and I understand. But it’s gonna happen whether we talk about it or not. I figure I might as well embrace it and deal with it now. My goal is to buy all the presents I need to this weekend. Though I don’t know how much money I have left in my bank account, I’m sure I have enough.

Was gonna put up pics but internet hates me. With a passion. Well, I’m gonna kill it with love. Take that you nasty nasty creature from Hell! … I mean, you wonderful, beautiful little child.

Planning My Trip To Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin Cagayan de Oro is a part of the province of Misa

Planning My Trip To Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin

Cagayan de Oro is a part of the province of Misamis Oriental, one of the provinces in Northern Mindanao. Nature tripping is a never-ending possibility in Misamis Oriental. From watersports and fine beaches to cave exploration and ethnic settlements, the list of nature-communing endeavors to be experienced in the province is longer than enough to fill a lifetime’s itinerary.

Seas and beaches offer a limitless aqua adventure. Go scuba diving at Duka Bay and Mantangale, also a primary dolphin and whale shark watching destination. Find glorious hideaways in the white sand beaches of Midway Beach, Maputi White Beach, and Opol Beach Fronts. Go white water rafting and tubing in the rapids of Cagayan de Oro River, one of the longest rivers in Mindanao. Or simply get picture-happy at the San Isidro/Sagpolon, Palalan, and Tiklas waterfalls as well as Sapong Spring and the Cold Spring at Lagonglong.

white-water rafting at Cagayan de Oro

Moreover, it was a good thing that Cebu Pacific Air offered their Piso Rates, which I thought of Cagayan de Oro being my first choice! A multitude of choices await the nature love and adventurer. in us. The Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village in Cagayan de Oro, a cultural village in a botanical setting, is home to Region 10’s tribal communities and endemic plants and trees. Also in Cagayan de Oro is Macahambus Cave, a historical site dating back to the 1900s. Initao Cave is home to the split-nose bat and the Initao National Park is a forest reserve with a natural limestone formation and marine life. Shift into a more relaxed pace at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club, situated along Lumbia Road in Cagayan de Oro. Or explore this city’s museums, from the Xavier University Museum showcasing Muslim-Bukidnon culture to the La Castilla Museum featuring household heirlooms.

We have set our travel dates as June 16-19, 2010 for the Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin leg. I have been dreaming of going to this place eversince. The only thing that hampers me is the budget. Good thing, Sheila allowed herself to be immersed with the captivating beauty of this place. And so the hunt is on for the best bargains around CdO and Camiguin.

How Do I Get To Cagayan de Oro?

There are several ways on getting to Cagayan de Oro. The most popular are as follows:

a. By Air – since we’re coming from Manila, there are only 2 airlines that I know of that can fly you daily straight from Manila to Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro. The estimated flight duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes. The regular fares are really expensive by the way, but I’ll be posting their promo rates from time to time so please take time to read.

Philippine Airlines – PAL does not have any promo offerings at the time that I was planning to book my flight. Their regular round trip rates to CdO is Php4592.00. Wow! Very expensive!

Cebu Pacific Air – Cebu Pac recently launched (I believe that was in November) their 2-day Piso Fare to all of their destinations and I was lucky enough to be able to book for me and Sheila. Our round trip tickets cost us only Php312.00 each. That’s a great value for money indeed! Their regular round trip fare actually costs Php 4270.56. Konti lang ang difference sa PAL.

b. By Sea – the only shipping line that I know of is the SuperFerry. The travel duration takes almost 2 days aboard SuperFerry12. Their e-ticket for a roundtrip Mega Value aircon accommodation with food costs Php2989.81. It is quite cheaper than the traveling by air but it would take almost 2 days before you reach your destination. SuperFerry has promos from time to time, like their Todo Tawad promo where fares can go as low as Php500 on one way. But at this time, no promos offerings for Cagayan de Oro destination. Moreover, they have schedules for their trips. According to their website, their trips are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.

c. By Land – The city has two bus terminals. The West Bound terminal caters to trips going to Iligan, Ozamiz, Pagadian and Zamboanga while the Agora Terminal caters to trips going to Gingoog, Butuan, Malaybalay, Valencia, Wao, Kidapawan, Davao and Camiguin Island (via Balingoan Port). Agora has a reputation among residents as being a somewhat more dangerous place than the rest of this peaceful safe city–don’t let it stop you from using the bus service, but don’t hang around Agora at night longer than you need to and keep cameras/phones tucked in.

The Itinerary For Cagayan de Oro-Camiguin Trip

This is the proposed itinerary for our Cdo-Camiguin Leg. Please note that this is subject to change depending on participants’ concerns, which is only Sheila and Me.

Day 1 Arrival at Cagayan de Oro

This is our arrival day at Cagayan de Oro City. Sheila and I will be on seperate flights, so just like what happened with me in Busuanga, I would have to wait for Sheila’s arrival. Today’s activity will definitely have to be the white-water rafting. This is actually 3 hours and most of the package that I have seen range anywhere from Php700-1000 and this does not include the lunch yet. I guess we’d have to eat lunch prior to the rafting. For this adventure, I found Rafting Adventure Philippines. This was one of the agencies showcased in the Philippine Travel Mart held last September 2009 in Megamall. Their website features all of their activities including the rates for the adventure. I chose their Group Rafting which is described as follows:

Group Rafting Trips

Get hyped and gear up your day as you go paddling the wild waters of the spectacular Cagayan de Oro River while building up amity with in your friends, officemates and colleagues in your companies. We customized your river trip by doing “Team Building” activities along the way. This trip is good for firms, big groups and company outings.

Regular Rate:

Beginners Php700/pax

Advance Php1000/pax

Packages are negotiable

Inclusion:

Free Transportation vice-versa

Safety Gears (Helmets, Buoyancy aid, Paddle) and

Dry bags for valuable things (e.g. mobile phones, wallets, wrist watches, cameras, etc.)

Schedule: Any day of the week

1st Trip: 8:00 a.m.

2nd Trip: 12:00 noon

What to wear and bring?

Beach Attire preferably quick dry clothes

Rash guards or Long sleeves

Extra Clothes and Toiletries

Personal Zip locks

Aqua Shoes, Sandals or Slippers (preferably with straps)

Sun blocks or Sun screens

SLR or Digital Camera’s (dry bag will be provided) and

Your Sense of Humor

Other options for the day which can be squeezed into our 1st day would be a trip to Macahambus Adventure Park. Adventures lined up for this park includes rappel and zip-line across trees a hundred feet above ground. If we still have time we can probably drop by the Mapawa Nature Park which is ideal for horseback riding, biking, zipline and nature trekking. After all these adventures, we can try to experience CdO’s NIGHTLIFE!

Day 02: Welcome Camiguin Island!

I was told that there are a lot of things and places to visit at Camiguin. Moreover, there are also several beautiful resorts to stay at which is really easy on the budget. Since we’ll be staying for one night in Camiguin, I will also have to look for a resort who allows one night of stay, probably one of the cheaper ones in the area. Here’s a 2-day Camiguin Island tour schedule I saw online that could fit into ours:

7:15AM, ETD Balingoan Pier Cagayan De Oro

Note: Ferry schedule 7:15am, 9:00am, 10:15am, 1:15pm, 2:50pm, 4:15pm

8:15AM, ETA Benoni Pier Camiguin

8:30AM – 8:30PM, have a day tour of these tourist spots, arranged chronologically as follows:

1. Sto Niño Cold Springs (swimming)

2. Soda Water Pool (swimming)

3. Old Guiob Church Ruins (sightseeing)

4. Sunken Cemetery (can dive here)

5. Stations of the Cross/Walkway (sightseeing)

6. Mt Hibok Hibok Volcano (sightseeing)

7. Katibawasan Falls (swimming)

8. Mambajao Market (“palengke”)

9. Vjandep Restaurant & Bakeshop (must try! Pastel)

10. Ardent Hot Springs (swimming)

11. Pabua’s Cottage (cook food that came from Mambajao Market, dinner)

7:15AM, ETA White Island Camiguin

Note: Make sure to bring food and shade

11:00AM, ETD White Island Camiguin

12:00Noon, ETD hotel to Beroni Pier going to CDO

1:00PM, ETA Beroni Pier

1:15PM, ETD Beroni Pier

2:00PM, ETA Balingoan Pier CDO

2:30PM, Lunch

And the rest of the day would have to be used for exploring more of Cagayan de Oro. I heard that ukay-ukay in CdO is one of the best. So I’ll never let this ukay-ukay opp pass by!

Day 4: A Trip To Nearby Iligan City

Tinago Falls is a waterfall in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Iligan, a city known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. Legend has it that there once lived an influential and powerful Sultan Agok and her wife. They were appointed by their people as their king and queen. But they become too proud of themselves and became selfish rulers of their kingdom. When the sultan’s wife was pregnant, an enchantress, disguised as a beggar, begged for their help but instead they exiled and rejected her. Because of this, the enchantress cursed the couple that the child will become ugly but they did not took it seriously and permanently banished the enchantress.

Tinago Falls in Iligan City

When the child was born, the child did become ugly. The couple was sad and disappointed, expecting the baby to be as lovely as her mother. They hid the child in a cave to avoid embarrassment and named the baby Tin-ag, which means “hidden face”. They visited and took care of the baby in the cave. When the child grew up, she came out of the cave and became amazed at what she saw. The enchantress, who cursed her parents, saw her and made an offer to transform her into something of great beauty and splendor. She accepted the offer and became the Tinago Falls.

Going to Iligan City takes about an estimated 1.5 hours by bus from Cagayan de Oro City. It is located in a deep ravine in Barangay Ditucalan, Iligan City. Other falls to see would be the Maria Cristina Falls along the Agus River. Both are sources of hydro-electric power for most of Mindanao.

God is totally about to unleash on this campus and I am stoked! You see, He has put on my heart to show “The Finger of God,” which I must have mentioned on this blog 100 times. I do so because it’s important and you should see it.

So go see it.

This movie has tons of healings in it and because of it, I have had the best night ever after seeing 3 (possibly 4!) healings. And that’s just tonight! That’s more than ever in my life!

So get this: the first healing tonight was at the end of the movie. Sid Roth comes on the screen during the credits to pray for healing. Now I had just heard in an interview with Darren Wilson that people had actually been healed during this portion of the movie, but have had yet to see it myself. I turned the movie off after this prayer, prayed for everyone who came, told them about an event with Mahesh Chavda that we are having November 18th, and also invited them to come to a group on Thursday nights where we learn these charismatic type things.

Then one girl came up to me after saying that she wanted to come to this group so that she could teach her youth group AND that she had been healed of a headache when Sid Roth commanded it to go away! I was completely stunned! I had been in a room where it had happened and could now share this story every time I showed it elsewhere!

Then, everyone who had made it to the ending at midnight on this fine Tuesday night, headed back to their dorms as I did also. I ran into the spiritual life advisor on my floor who asked if I wanted to pray for healing for another on my floor. I was totally up for it and we did! He had a fairly big pain in his ankle/calf and we prayed for it and it didn’t really seem like there was an progress.

So we stayed valiant and prayed again. Still not a whole lot but maybe a slight difference.

Again. A little more.

Again. A little more.

After about six times or so the pain was really starting to dissipate. We continued praying for 100% health and at this moment, he feels much much better. The pain is quite minimal and he could move it more and more after every prayer. Now things like standing on his toes might cause it pain, but that’s a huge difference compared to earlier.

Next we prayed for diabetes. We realized this would be harder to test, but we prayed regardless. I had mentioned something to the guys about listening for a word from God to pray about and one of the guys got one. I had forgotten to mention that God sometimes points out what to pray for by illuminating parts of our own bodies, but he caught on! There was a blood vessel in his head was pounding and so he began to pray for brain troubles that might have caused it just to find out that that was a big part of it. While we can’t firmly know if he has really been healed quite this early in this specific situation, we do know that he felt quite blessed—especially from this specific prayer.

Next we prayed for our spiritual life advisor’s hip. He was having a pain from his hip down to the bottom of his leg. It would pop out of place quite a bit and caused him enough pain to ask for prayer. And so we did. We kept it minimal at first. Two people prayed and that was it. We asked him to check it out. He felt great! In order to make it hurt at all he had to stretch it around quite a bit! We all prayed aloud together after this for 100% and after that he felt no pain.

Seriously, this campus is ready to unleash. This is what we’ve been missing and this is what is starting to happen. Soon we’ll be praying for random people on campus wandering around with crutches (which there are quite a few of lately)!

I actually prayed for a girl I don’t know too well in my psych class the other day. She was on her way out the door in the middle of class to go to the hospital to have her leg looked at. I followed her, prayed for in the hall, and I suppose I’ll know tomorrow how she was feeling after this prayer.

But you know what? Even if she wasn’t healed, I imagine she still felt loved. We have to get over ourselves and just allow God to love through us.

I know satan is ticked right now. I’m not entirely sure, but I felt like I was possibly snapped at by a demon today. There was a rather irrational moment in the day where some hurtful things were said and I felt as though there was more to this situation. Possibly a demon realizing that things were going well for me today and I was psyched to show this movie tonight.

And so I told the people at the movie that satan was ticked that I was showing it and that he was ticked that they were there.

Good news folks.

He’s about to get a whole more ticked.
Because the kingdom of God is about to be unleashed.

The back muscles are attached to the spine. The spine consist of bones called vertebrae. The vertebr

The back muscles are attached to the spine. The spine consist of bones called vertebrae. The vertebrae are joined together by the facet joints. Softer disks separate the vertebrae. They allow the spine to bend and flex.

They also act as cushion in between the vertebrae and absorb shock and vibration produced by walking and running. Nerves connecting the brain to the body make up the spinal cord. The vertebrae protect the spinal cord.

Nerves branch off from the spinal cord to various organs and muscles including those in the arms and legs. The nerves carry instructions from the brain to the muscles, organs, and limbs. They also carry sensations such as pain from different parts of the body to the brain. The spine is joined to the pelvis, or hip, by the sacroiliac joints.

The disks in the back act as cushions between vertebrae.A disk contains a central area called the “nucleus pulposus,” which means soft center. Disks are usually moist, like a sponge with water in it.As a person gets older, or after a disk gets injured, it starts losing water and becomes stiffer. The disk becomes less useful in cushioning the back. This is known as disk degeneration.

The most common cause of back pain is muscle spasm. An awkward movement of the back can lead to a severe muscle spasm. The muscle spasm causes the back to “lock” and can cause severe pain.A muscle spasm can occur after a simple sneeze or cough. It can also occur after an awkward bending or twisting motion.

A movement as simple as bending to tie a shoe or twisting the back to turn and face in a different direction can cause such a spasm. Muscle spasms can also occur when a heavy object is lifted incorrectly.

Muscle spasms tend to get better over time.Severe cases of muscle spasm can be treated with physical therapy and medication.Long lasting back pain can occur after accidents that have resulted in injury to the disks, the facet joints, or sacroiliac joints of the back.

Back pain is one of the most common medical problems. It affects most people at least once in their lifetime. If not taken seriously, back pain can last for a long period of time, and can become disabling.

The best way to prevent back and leg pain is to regularly exercise the back.Back strengthening and stretching exercises are recommended at least 2 or 3 times a week.

The following are some examples of back exercises: partial sit-up (With bent knee, slowly raise your head and shoulders off the floor, and hold for 3 minutes), knee-to-chest raise (lie down;slowly pull knees to chest, relaxing your neck and back, hold for 10 seconds;repeat 10 times), press-up (lie down with hands near shoulders and pelvis on floor;press up painlessly, hold for 10 seconds, and repeat 10 times).

These exercises strengthen the back muscles, which allow them to withstand the rigors of everyday activities. If you have had previous back pain or medical problems, make sure to check with your doctor before starting these exercises.

Back pain will affect most people at one time in their lives.Action can be taken to prevent back pain or postpone the degeneration of the spine and disks. Preventive measures include strengthening of the back and adopting good body techniques.
physical therapy treatment
physical therapy treatment

To hear many religious people talk, one would think God created the torso, head, legs and arms, but the devil slapped on the genitals.

~Don Schrader

Oh man did this quote make me laugh. This has to be one of the best ones I’ve found in a while. It touches on two sometimes taboo topics to discuss and debate. Religion and Sex. I don’t have much to say about this quote – it kind of speaks for itself, its very blunt. But it does make you think about why certain religions, Catholicism for example, makes such a big deal about sex. Everywhere around the world, a good 90-95% of the world’s population has no problem with sex – and in fact has no problem with polygamy.

It makes me thing about why people are so afraid of sex. Makes you think. Or at least, makes me think.

Question: What age do you think is appropriate to start having sex?

Any question, please ask.

Here’s a quick post….becuase I’m sitting in the coffee shop and they are about to close but I don’t want to leave yet and not enough time to start something else to work on.

I found out last week the source of my leg pain (so they think.) I got to see the 1st X-ray in 3 years. Guess what… I have a broken leg! That would explain it. The little bone, fibula, never grew completly back together after the 2002 accident. Why its bothered me more in the last 6 months we don’t know.

You can see the rod in my big bone, Tibia, which seems to be healed alright, and the break in the fibula. It was originally broke in 2 places and the top part rejoined by itself… the bottom was supposed to but didn’t (as you can see.)

Yesterday I had a bone scan done where they place radioactive fluids in you and take lots and lots of scans (1 every 4 seconds) to figure out the ‘hot spots’. It was interesting. I find out in 2 weeks from yesterday (nov. 18) if I’ll be having surgery to place a plate and pins in. Its about 75 -25 in favor of surgery. Not great odds. Anyway very busy with doctor apts and work and everything but just wanted to update when I had a minuet. Ok Moca’s is closing in 5 min I better head out. Here’s to good sipping!

Meadow the yearling Black Angus calf spends her days frolicking in northeastern New Mexico’s cattle country, all with her prosthetic hind legs.

The bucolic scene seemed impossible just a few months ago, when rancher Nancy Dickenson and her stepdaughter, Martha, found Meadow on a neighbor’s property. The 11-month-old calf had lost her back hooves and half of her ears to severe frostbite.

The Dickensons have rescued dozens of animals and wanted to give Meadow a chance to walk normally again. They located the calf’s owner and bought Meadow, and convinced veterinarians and students at Colorado State University to help her.

Doctors amputated a portion of Meadow’s hind legs in August and fitted her with the prosthetics, a rare procedure done on livestock typically destined for the food supply. Meadow is believed to be the first bovine calf fitted with double prosthetics, Colorado State veterinarian Dr. Robert Callan said. He based his claim on discussions with other veterinarian clinics and schools.

Nancy Dickenson said the family decided to pay what she expects will cost “thousands of dollars” for the procedures because Meadow has become another family pet.

Meadow, named for the spot she was found, returned home to New Mexico last month. Dickenson said she doesn’t want any visitors at Twin Willows Ranch near Ocate while Meadow recuperates. These days, Meadow is running and grazing, and making friends with goats in a nearby pen, Dickenson said.

“She’s just so precious,” she said. “A few people have asked ‘Is she going to be beef?’ and I said ‘Are you kidding? This is my newest baby.’”

An alien archaeologist, on discovering them, would probably conclude that I had made a special collection of odd socks (‘possibly for ritual purposes’) or else that ‘the inhabitant of this dwelling was almost certainly one-legged.’
