Braindead Monday has resulted in a Manic Tuesday… I am sorting through 2 sacks of vintage clothing (watch this space in 2010 for exactly what I am going to do with all this vintage apparel!) which means just a quick drive-by posting today.

California based Costume Dept. has recently launched their new website, with an online shop coming soon!  Costume Dept. has been the ultimate spandex go-to brand for “ladies with an attitude and fellers who are in the mood” since their conception in 2008. Each piece is individually crafted and once a style is sold out, it’s gone forever, ensuring that those who love to stand out in the crowd can do so with minimum risk of running into their sartorial doppledangers at a party.  Rad!

For today I have a very special post for you. The November Releases of Baiastice from the 17th and 24th of November 2009! For me it is a great pleasure and honor to show you all that great creations, especially because Baiastice is on of my favourite labels also

First i woul like to start with the “Revolver Short Jacket”

This Jacket is a totally must have for every fashion girl. A short jacked with amazing shoulder attachments. All over you can see the sweet fringes that give a very stylish touch. and we can see the great details like the 2 buckles on the shoulderpart in the right side. For the hands the whole theme was repeated i 2 great arm and hand parts. On the big picture we can see the “Revolver Short Jacket! in black. But as you can see in the second piture…for every liking there is one color For me it is a nother masterpiece of  Baiastice!  

To coninue with jackets…we have next the “Breitschwanz Jacket”

This jacket comes with 2 options. One has a wider part, the other one a tight body part. Both have the same theme of styling as you can see if you take a closer look at the great texture Sissy Pessoa made and the amazing collar part. The winter is coming and you will need a warm jacket…;-) take a look at the Baiastice Mainstore and you will see that this jacket is also available in more then one color. You will find the great winter colors brown, black and grey. This colors make it possible to combine this great jacket with any other clothing or color you like.

We have jackets to wear now but i am sure we need also some to wear under them Baiastice made some that fits perfect! Let me start with the “GeG-Mini Dress”:

As I opened the folder and put on this awsome dress – and the first i tried was the pink one - I got a totally 80’s back flash! I could not resist as i saw the other color to style it a little bit like that This dress totally catched me. All the great details like an open zipper or the open button at the chest part…also the very well made folds…I totally got addicted..thats why I don’t wanna withhold you all the other great colors!

Even if it is hard to get my eyes off this dress i would like to show you another piece of clothing that fits to the jackets…also to the great dress The “Pyton slim pants”

Did you ever seen such great pants with a python texture?!? The lightning and shadowns of this pants let them shine perfectly!!! You can wear the pants as pants only or even as a leggins under a dress or a hotpants…anyways how this Python Pants from Basiastice will give the best view on a fashionistas well shaped legs. If you find your way to the Mainshop you will not only find the black and blue version I have on my first pic…you will find way more colors to make your legs to the eyecatcher of the evening!

Now we seen a lot of casual stuff and i would like to show you some elegant of the last releases. First the “Audrey in frills”

This outfit comes in 2 different opitions: On the left sinde you can see a version with a fur like seam. All attachments on arms and legs are made with this texture. On the left side you also habe the simple shirt version without the lace part over chest and shoulders but a nice little scarf collar sets the accent on the decollete! For the second version I would like to take the first look on the back. Ther you have a nice skirt with a bow as the option with out the fur parts. This is featuren in the middle of my picture. If you take a look at the right side yu can see the “simple” version front of the dress. The shoulder parts are simple without any fringes like the skirt bow. For this option, I added the lace shirt to give the overall look a cocktail style touch. Also this dress you will find in more colors if you take some time for a shopping tour  at the Baiastice Mainstore!

Last but not least i would like to show you the “Tiffany” dress:

For this dress you can choose between a long and a short version. This dress bribes with its vigoroud colors! Witha also a  great texture with big ornaments this dress makes you  to the center of every situation. The long version looks more playfully and the short version looks more like the casual fashion styled buisness girl. A great black belt with a golden buckle breaks the texture and makes a nice styish accssoire! If you are not a frend of the red tones…no problem…Sissy Pessoa made another 2 amazing colors and iam sure one will fit your likings.

Oh spandex, with your many versatile finishes and food/lunge/life friendly stretchiness, how are we ever supposed to quit you?

For those of you who feel the same love for spandex but are also wanting to seek alternatives to the one-stop-shop American Apparel, I suggest you check out Blackmilk.  Blackmilk is a run by a fellow spandex/hosiery obsessive James Lillis of Too Many Tights.  James started off designing and experimenting with the stretchy stuff for his own pleasure which led to him selling a limited number of his creations to readers on a first-come-first-served basis, which then led to him launching his own label Blackmilk Clothing earlier this year.  Lucky us!

His designs are often outrageous but also (and most importantly) wearable… he has a firm and loyal customer base with whom he communicates with via his blog, therefore honing his creations to make them real-life-friendly via direct feedback.  Basically, Blackmilk is a great example of how independent designers and the internet can simultaneously create beautiful e-commerce harmony.

The designs are often available for a limited amount of time and the prices are reasonable… really, what more can you ask for?

No matter what season, the floral print seems to seep through, it was in the form of dresses, skirts, leggings and chunky knitwear last Autumn / Winter and it was no doubt prominent amongst the Spring / Summer 2010 collections exhibiting at London Fashion Week this season.

A brand that is synonymously known for its prints and dresses is British label Almost Famous. With colours and shades covering all spectrums it was hard not to love this label…With coral pinks, ultraviolet purples and citrus lemons, the collection is enough to make your mouth water…however, it wasn’t only the sugar accents that made you want to touch everything, each top, skirt, dress within this ready-to-wear collection was screaming trend.

A 1920’s inspired ditsy floral tea dress was luring me in and hanging a few rails off was a futuristic printed maxi dress. With a 160 piece collection to choose from it just goes to show that variety is one thing that isn’t a problem when looking at this label.

With feminine shapes and silhouettes to flatter all it wasn’t a surprise their stand was heaving from press, to buyers to little mini-me bloggers!

I guess I have my SS10 wardrobe sorted; however, now that the chill factor is here to stay It might be a good idea to start focussing on Autumn Winter dressing!

Tudo bem, sei que estamos chegando no verão e que é época de deixar as pernas de fora, mas não resisti, precisava mostrar para vocês algumas das meias que trouxe de Londres e que em breve estarão a venda aqui na loja.

Apesar do sol escaldante em alguns dias, em outros a temperatura cai sem aviso prévio, e conclusão: acho que São Pedro é Bipolar (dizem até que esse distúrbio “tá na moda”).

E para esses dias em que a bipolaridade santa ataca, o melhor é ter uma meia calça na bolsa. Elas são levinhas, fininhas e fáceis de carregar. Além disso, as meias podem ser usadas com qualquer tipo de roupa, ficam uma graça com shorts, saias, microvestidos e camisetões – e também ficam lindas quando usadas como leggings.

Apesar de clássica, a meia preta dará lugar a outras milhares de opções, coloridas, com estampas, com furos, com tachinhas…diversos jeitos para você brincar.

Mas, cuidado para não cair no erro!

Vou deixar aqui algumas dicas básicas:

Meia-calça estampada: quem tem perna grossa deve passar longe dessas, porém pode atacar nas texturizadas (tipo as caneladas) e as com risca de giz.

Se quiser usar colorida, escolha cores mais escuras, como o vinho, azul marinho, verde-musgo, marrom, entre outras.

A meia-calça com renda é super feminina, e justamente por isso fica bem contrastando com peças masculinas e peças pesadas.

As de pernas finas, podem abusar de meias com detalhes e texturas, especialmente os geométricos, e  as meias de cores berrantes!

Para as donas de todos os tipo de pernas: Muita atenção na hora da  combinação com o seu look, usar com salto alto sempre ajuda a alongar  a perna (guarde bem que essa é uma dica de ouro).

Hej igen!

Nu har jag hittat hit en gång till. Som någon kanske förstår så använder jag inte den här bloggen mer. Inte särskilt mycket i alla fall. Knappt alls…

I alla fall. I våras pratade jag lite om jeansleggins. Om hur jag inte alls tyckte om det och så. Nu har det där såklart vänt. Jag trodde att det skulle räcka med den terminen och sen skulle jag äga ett par själv, men det tog ända tills igår… Så nu ägar jag ett par jeansleggins som jag för 6 månader sedan hatade! Komiskt eller?

Så blev det mandag og da jeg vågnede i morges følte jeg mig stadig ikke helt på topppen… Derfor meldte jeg mig syg… Men selvom man er syg, så skal man jo have noget at spise og køleskabet fylder jo ikke sig selv. Derfor trak jeg min snøftende krop ned i Waterfront Shoppingcenter, og her blev jeg konstant distraheret af fine glimtende ting. I formiddags stod det klart at jeg har en meget stor svaghed for palietter

Mais um print de um dos editoriais da Vogue Paris com a Raquel Zimmermann. Que aborda o grafismo e estampas felinas, e de outros animais. Casacos,leggins de animal print,bolsas mega-onças.  A Carine sabe mesmo misturas e arrasar nas estampas de animais. ihihih

So I went shopping today cause I had a little extra money that I could spend, and I’m not going to lie, it was very successful! Nordstrom had some awesome sales going on! I bought a teal long-sleeve fitted t-shirt, and I wore it to class tonight with some fitted black leggins. But guess what? I’m going to wear it again this weekend to a party with jeans and a cute overbelt that I bought from Forever 21 for $6! You can’t beat it.

Another great buy, those fitted black leggins. So comfortable. I know some girls feel uncomfortable with the top of there legs hanging out, but no worries, New York and Company has these great “dressy” sweatshirts that cover your legs. The sweatshirts are about $20.

However — the jean leggins — avoid!!

I’m not sure who thought that would be a good idea, but jeans don’t look good if it looks like the woman can’t breathe in them, so why these were created, I’ll never know.

Anyway, these are simple, easy outfits! I believe in you.

Hi hi hi, z’avez vu mon titre, résultat des tonnes de magazines de mode que j’ingurgite depuis des années ? Ca laisse des traces indélébiles  dans l’inconscient, et ça vous influence le sens de l’humour les phrases du genre ” le pantalon en pince pour les revers”, ” la mini robe prend du pois”, ou encore “le gilet la joue franges-jeu”  (source Marie-Claire spécial Mode Septembre 2009)…

Il est grand temps de la ressortir et de la porter rentrée dans un jeans avec une ceinture un peu large, esprit cow-girl.

Déjà que j’ai acheté une cape sur vos nombreuses demandes (si si, l’explosion de mon dressing, c’est de votre faute ) mais ça, ce sera pour un prochain billet.

Comme avec tout imprimé un peu présent, et comme la forme est déjà assez élaborée,  il faut éviter de surcharger avec des accessoires ou un bas trop original.

Voilà, 8 euros, au moins trois tenues possibles : si c’est pas des économies, ça !

Ed è sempre dal Giappone che si propaga la nuova moda dei pantacollant da uomo (メンズのレギンスファッション、men’s leggings fashion) che sembra già attirare grande attenzione! Ed è stato coniato addirittura un termine ad hoc: meggings (メギンス).

Dopo il successo tutto al femminile, i produttori oggi li stanno sponsorizzando per l’uomo all’interno dei principali grandi magazzini. Dalle mille fantasie e dai colori vivaci come il giallo, l’arancione e il rosa, possono essere indossati sotto i pinocchietti in modo ben visibile.

La prima apparizione dei meggins nei select shop nipponici si è avuta nella scorsa primavera nella Paris Collection primavera-estate, dove Givenchy li aveva presentati neri in abbinamento con i bermuda. Sulla scia dello sperato successo stanno posizionandosi anche alcune griffe estere e produttori di indumenti intimi.

Dite che in Italia raggiungeranno il successo sperato?!
