Op donderdag 3 december vanaf 20u staat er een gratis film- en docuavond ‘Gender against men’ gepland in het Nieuw Huis aan de Kuringersteenweg 179, over de seksuele wreedheden in Centraal-Afrika tegen homo’s en lesbiënnes. Voor de organisatie tekenen De Madam, het LACH en VormingPlus.

Alom wordt aangenomen dat Congo de plaats is waar het slechts leven is voor vrouwen. Bij seksueel geweld wordt meestal gedacht aan verkrachting, huiselijk geweld en vrouwenrechten. Maar de schade die bij mannen wordt aangericht, wanneer ze gedwongen moeten toekijken hoe vrouwen, kinderen en moeders worden verkracht, is ook groot. Het komt ook voor dat mannen zelf worden verkracht. Uit Liberiaanse cijfers blijkt dat er een derde van de strijders slachtoffer is geworden van verkrachting.

In een vluchtenlingenkamp kunnen deze slachtoffers niet meer hun vroegere gezinstaken vervullen. Ze worden verstoten door eigen familie. Zowel mannen als vrouwen zijn slachtoffer van deze seksuele wreedheden.

De filmvertoning duurt 50 minuten. Roger Huisman, journalist buitenlandredactie van HBVL, verzorgt een nabespreking.

All of us have great love for love. We take immense joy in seeing two people fall in love with each other and indulge their love for each other. But what we necessarily assume when such a picture is painted to us is that it concerns two people from opposite sexes. Would the society feel the same joy if these two people were from the same sex, i.e. - were homosexuals? The answer is a clear-cut, sharp, unhesitant-NO! Thus the question arises, is romantic love only limited to members of the opposite sex? Can’t people of the same-sex fall in love with one another? Unfortunately in our society, they are not allowed to. But what we must realize is that just as homosexuals do not have the freedom to choose their sexuality, we, the society should not have the right to suppress them either.

In the world of today, where the number of people having sex outside of marriage and also with the same sex are on the rise, given this, should we not shift our focus on to more serious matters? Like the matter of spreading a deadly disease perhaps? Diseases like AIDS is caused not only by having homosexual sex but by having sex without protection, and the disease spreads because of having sexual relationships with multiple partner.

‘Practicing’ homosexuality is a sin in Islam, of that there is not doubt. Nonetheless, amongst all the sins that people choose to commit, can we really say that this is the worst? Some homosexuals are promiscuous and also do not practice safe sex, but we cannot generalize and say that all homosexuals are the same! If two homosexual men/women are in a monogamous relationship and practice safe sex, which means  that they are not spreading a deadly disease, then does it not reduce the numbers of ‘wrongs’ being committed? We are all usually quick to point out, that all sex outside marriage is wrong, but what we do not want to consider is that there may be degrees of ‘wrongness’. No one has the right to prosecute someone on the basis of their sexual orientation as this is something that comes to the person naturally, it’s only normal to speculate that just maybe it is not such an unnatural thing after all. Our society must in time give homosexuality the acceptance it deserves. We must start treating our fellow human beings as equals, not on the basis of what form of sexuality they prefer.

Pero el fallo más grave del súcubo guionista y sus cómplices, fue su estrategia publicitaria: bombardear los medios con trailers, afiches y banners con fotos de Megan Fox vestida de colegiala, anunciar que la chica aparecería desnuda en la cinta, y que además tendría una escena lésbica. A pesar de sus esfuerzos por venderse a través de su hermosa protagonista, la cinta fue un fracaso de taquilla y el súcubo, con el ego herido, se retiró a vivir en una cueva en Groenlandia, mientras planea su regreso a Hollywood.

Y es que si quieren ver a la señorita Fox no necesitan gastar su dinero en el cine, cada 30 minutos aparece en la web un nuevo photoshoot con la chica, que pueden ver en la privacidad de su alcoba (Como esta sesión para Rolling Stone, este detrás de cámara de GQ, video para Esquire,o la sesión para Elle)

For the first two days aboard the Norwegian Spirit as part of the Sweet Cruise I was confused. Why does everyone look like they are having so much fun? I still had not gotten over my previous family reunion cruising experiences so came in with the following thoughts (read about that in my last entry)

1- We weren’t actually going anywhere: We’ll dock at tourist traps and they will only give you a maximum of eight hours there so that you can’t wander off.
2- Food, food everywhere, but I still feel like I’m starving: There is 24 hours of free food access. But, because I have become an enormous food snob and Food Coop nerd I can taste the canned, powdered and pre-cooked nature of all of mass-made food. I’m going to resort to my stowaway nuts.
3-The cruise will make an attempt to make you think that a floating Hilton with attached mall (aka the ship) is an authentic and exotic experience: For example, by hiring Chinese folks to serve the Chinese food, Indians for the Indian food….

It was not until mid-week that I was able to move past these expectations. For good reason as I was on the cruise to film a pilot (aptly named “The Lez Boat”) so spent the majority of my time learning lines or cooped up in odd locations acting as “Heather” the “Fitness Instructor.” I also was scared when my friend Katherine told me that she saw a girl with a hat that said “I took my girlfriend bow hunting.”

As I got more time away from set and into the midst of things my impressions of the cruising experience started to change. Yes, the food is blah, and yes, everyone is funneled into tourist traps, but when I accepted those things as givens (and gave my stomach a chance to get used to preservatives) I saw the positives of what was going on around me. Specifically that 1,000 lesbians were on board having a week-long party and the MTV spring break that no one gave them. People were friendly, relaxed and happy because how could you not be? Everyone was invested in having a good time and enjoying the surrounding community. Here are the positives of being on a Sweet Cruise — wet T-shirt contests, go-go dancers by the pool, Toyland workshops, queer bingo, gay country dancing, parties late into the night every night…Lesson learned: you could be in Antarctica, the Republican National Convention, or a pre-fab tourist trap, if you insulate yourself from harsh conditions with enough good people you are bound to have a good time.

Klopt, ben ik met je eens. Een flink leesvoertje is hier al tijden niet meer verschenen. Genoeg te zien en beleven als het gaat om vage video’s en toffe berichten over EP’tjes enzo… Maar verder? Geen rauwe gedichten, geen levensvisionaire updates, geen bloemen en zoals dat dan gaat: geen bezoek. Een die-hard daargelaten.

Hoe moet dat dan verder hier? Is dit het? Begonnen in 2007 met dagelijkse en soms zelfs meerdere posts op een dag? Het ging als een tierelier, jazeker. Het ging uiteindelijk tegen me werken. De keuze om met de billen bloot het internet op te gaan. Ik ging mezelf vervelen, werd moe van mijn geschrijf. Maar het meest moe werd ik van mijn dwangneurose om dagelijks te schrijven. Ik moest, ik moet… Ik heb gemoeten. Een Moestuin van zenuwtrekjes.

Dus dit is het? Hier houdt het op?
Welnee.
Ik ga (blijf) hier gewoon doen wat ik doe en deed.
En ik heb zo mijn fases.
Dan weer bezeten van videoclips, dan weer een foto, een loze one-liner, een vet gedicht, letterlijk vertaalde teksten, een lulverhaal… Of wat dan ook. En dan weer een hele tijd niks.

Ik heb het al vaker geschreven. Ik moet niets moeten. Ik moet al zoveel wat ik eigenlijk niet moet, maar toch moet. En dat vergt moed. Vaak genoeg in ieder geval.
Je hebt geen idee van de kluizenaar die in mij schuilt.
De schim achter de ramen, de dromer en zijn bedrog.

Het vreemde is dat ik al heel lang iets wil schrijven. Precies hier, op deze plek.
Er zijn al heel wat ideeën de revue gepasseerd. En toch deed ik er niets mee.
Gek eigenlijk. Nog gekker is dat ik het nu dus toch doe. Alsof ik verantwoording moet afleggen. Terwijl dat helemaal niet hoeft. Misschien is dat wel precies waarom het nu wel zover is, dat ik nu wel de moeite neem om weer eens wat van me te laten horen op deze plek. En dan in de zin van persoonlijk verhaal (hoewel: stukken over The Weak And The Strong en aanverwante onderwerpen… Die zijn net zo persoonlijk… Maar goed, you snapt what I mean!).

Ik heb mijn eigen verwachting geschept. Mezelf vastgepind op iets waar ik niet op vast te pinnen ben.
(“Mag ik dan wel uw pincode? Ja, pleurt lekker op!”)

Oké, ik dwaal af. Wat kun je hier dus nog verwachten? Geen idee, maar in ieder geval iets. Dat kan dus van alles zijn.
In ieder geval altijd een ego van mijn echo… Huh? Een echo van mijn ego, bedoel ik? Ja, dat ook.

La notizia è questa: in Francia due lesbiche sono riuscite ad ottenere l’adozione di un bambino.

Si impone un minuto di riflessione.

Non è tanto sulla questione si o no all’adozione gay che mi vorrei dilungare, quanto sull’adozione in se.

Perchè vedete, queste due signore, colte, benestanti, intelligenti e casualmente lesbiche, hanno impostato la loro lotta come una lotta per il “diritto” di adottare.

La loro battaglia, portata anche in Corte Europea, era volta a contrastare una discriminazione che aveva per ben due volte portato al rifiuto dell’adozione.

Qui c’è una linea sottile, invisibile ai più, ma ben evidente a quanti, come me, il percorso dell’adozione lo hanno vissuto consapevolmente fino in fondo.

La lotta delle due donne è giusta, sacrosanta, ma forse il terreno di battaglia non era il più indicato, anche se lo scontro era inevitabile.

Il fatto stesso di aver vissuto la battaglia sul terreno dell’adozione, considerandola come un diritto della coppia, sarebbe di per se un’indicazione sufficiente a rifiutare loro l’adozione stessa. Se vivono l’adozione come un loro DIRITTO, allora non sono idonee, e non per la loro sessualità, ma perchè dimenticano che il vero attore di un’adozione è il bambino.

Hanno forse superato quella linea sottile, come d’altra parte fanno tante coppie, la gran parte, che chiedono di adottare un figlio.

L’adozione non è per la coppia, l’adozione ha al centro il bambino.

Un giudice non sceglie una coppia per i suoi meriti, non è obbligato ad una graduatoria, non è una riffa, non è un diritto, la coppia va scelta in base alle necessità del bambino.

Tra tutte le coppie disponibili va scelta quella “migliore” per il bimbo.

La battaglia era dunque qui, su questo piano: una coppia etero è necessariamente migliore di una coppia gay?

La risposta è facile da trovare, perchè basta guardarsi intorno, senza andare lontano, per trovare tante coppie etero, anche richiedenti adozione, a cui sarebbe un grave delitto affidare un figlio.

Dunque l’eterosessualità da sola non basta per preferire una coppia, così come l’omosessualità da sola non può essere una discriminante assoluta.

D’altra parte, tra una coppia “ideale” etero, ed una coppia “ideale” omo, come quella di cui parliamo, voi, se foste i giudici, quale scegliereste?

Ne possiamo discutere, anche lungamente, ma io su questo non ho dubbi! E voi ?

Ben venga quindi la negazione della discriminazione assoluta, ma senza cadere nell’errore che l’adozione sia un diritto inalienabile, qualcosa che spetta…

15 mesi di reclusione e interdizione perpetua dall’insegnamento. E’ la pena che dovrà scontare Helen Goddard, 26enne britannica insegnante di musica, colpevole di aver fatto sesso con una sua allieva di appena 15 anni.
Le due si erano conosciute dopo le lezioni, durante un incontro casuale in un bar. Un semplice caffè, però, ben presto è diventato qualcosa di più, sfociando in un rapporto di natura sessuale. Uno sviluppo che i genitori della studentessa hanno subito condannato come “tradimento completo” della fiducia.
La storia è andata avanti cinque mesi senza che nessuno si accorgesse di nulla: la relazione, infatti, è rimasta segreta finché la scuola non ha ricevuto una segnalazione anonima. I servizi sociali sono stati immediatamente allertati; la polizia ha fatto il resto, facendo irruzione nell’abitazione della Goddard a Greenwich, a Sud-Est di Londra, e traendo in arresto l’insegnante.
In tribunale la donna è scoppiata in lacrime, prima di ammettere di essere colpevole dei sei capi d’accusa a lei contestati.  A nulla è valsa la testimonianza della ragazzina, la quale ha raccontato di essere stata lei ad attrarre l’insegnante nel proprio letto.

Mentre tutto il mondo era intento a suonare porte e ripetere il nero ritornello “trick or treat?” ed in Italia si utilizzavano delle prostitute trans per mettere deliberatamente alla gogna mediatica un uomo pubblico con vizi privati, in una parte del mondo del lontano oriente si premiava la Miss International Queen 2009. Un concorso di bellezza come altri, dove magari si premia la più bella tra le principesse o regine delle corti europee? Parliamo sicuramente di regine, ma non di regnanti.

Il concorso in questione, giunto alla quinta edizione, organizzato da Tiffany’s Show Pattaya, spettacolo transgender di cabaret conosciuto in tutto il mondo (non troppo in Italia) e supportato inoltre dall’autorità turistica thailandese, premia infatti la più bella donna a non essere nata donna, ma ad esserlo diventata: non confondetevi però con “piccole donne crescono” di Louisa Alcott e focalizzate meglio su “piccoli uomini crescono e diventano donne”. Da cinque anni ormai anche il mondo GLBT ha il proprio concorso di bellezza, con premi, sponsors, paillettes e cotillons. La manifestazione si tiene nella città-resort di Pattaya, Thailandia,  il premio è andato ad una gentile signora giapponese, Ai Haruna, 37 anni, nata sotto le spoglie di Kenji Onishi, divenuta personaggio televisivo e cantante transgender. Nella sua biografia, spunta anche una partecipazione ad una pubblicità per la Fanta: un pò come se Vladimir Luxuria facesse una pubblicità per il Chinotto.

Gli obiettivi di questa manifestazione, oltre ad offrire una vetrina importante a tutto il mondo transgender, sono in primo luogo dare risalto alla questione dei diritti umani, principalmente per quanto riguarda il mondo GLBT ed essere un punto di incontro delle comunità internazionali che ne fanno parte. Inoltre, la manifestazione serve per raccogliere fondi per la Royal Sponsored AIDS Foundation.

In un mondo che corre ininterrottamente verso la cancellazione o meglio la trasformazione del genere,in Italia la politica e i media in genere ci tengono lontani da questa realtà, banalizzando il mondo GLBT come sporco, fatto principalmente di prostituzione, di qualcosa di cui vergognarsi e da tenere allo scuro della vita. Questo è un pensiero bigotto ed antistorico, che non rende conto di quanto il mondo al di fuori del pensiero di massa, quello della ribellione al sistema precostituito, stia segnando una linea di demarcazione ben più profonda di quello che si pensi.

Al 10 jaar de Dulle Griet.

Toch netjes hoor, ze zullen wat toe te voegen hebben.
Gisteravond voor het eerst sinds lange tijd weer een bij de Dulle Griet gegeten.

Het publiek blijft toch een apart slag. De vrouwen zijn roodharig (allemaal uit een potje) of grijs. Het type wat zijn haren niet verft omdat mooi grijs niet lelijk is. De mannen daarintegen laten zich knippen door de buurvrouw en dragen het liefst slobbertruien of vale shirts.

Als je dus een vlot geklede man zoekt moet je niet bij de Dulle Griet zijn.

Maar waar ik eigenlijk nog het meest benieuwd naar was is of ze nog zo man onvriendelijk zijn. De twee eigenaressen (ongetwijfeld lesbo’s) stonden bekend om hun onvriendelijkheid naar de mannelijke cliëntele. En ik kan me dat inderdaad nog wel herinneren van de vorige keer.
Hoewel ik graag goed bediend wordt in restaurants hou ik er wel van als het personeel iets van zichzelf in zijn werk legt. Obers die precies doen wat ik van ze verlang zijn prettig maar karakterloos, wanneer ze echter doorslaan en eigenwijs en brutaal worden ga ik me aan ze irriteren. Het beroep van ober wordt in Nederland zwaar ondergewaardeerd. Maar terug naar de Dulle Griet.

Nee, Er was niets te merken van enige onvriendelijkheid naar mij toe. Een beetje jammer wel. Toch blijft het wel een beetje een vrouwen-restaurant. Als shabby geklede man op zoek naar een vrouw moet je dus in de Dulle Griet zijn.

Nog even verder over de vale shirts en de slecht geknipte mannen. Dit zegt namelijk waarschijnlijk niets over de inhoud van hun portemonnee. De Dulle Griet is niet duur maar bungelt ook zeker niet onderaan met wat ze vragen voor hun eten.
De Dulle Griet is denk ik vooral voor de hoogopgeleide 40-plusser die houdt van goed eten maar niet zo houdt van al het geneuzel er om heen. Geef hem maar gewoon een linzen-curry met een bok biertje en dan heeft hij het naar zijn zin.

Rutte
En wat zeker niet onvermeld mag blijven is dat een grote collectie jenevers van Rutte hebben.
