Modificados #1

Hace un tiempo, cuando publique la entrada Obama es un asesino, me di cuanta de algo. Del ingenio de la gente que pasa horas frente a YouTube pensando como modificar un video. Jeje creo que voy a abrir uan nueva sección en el blog sobre este tema.

A continuación, un video de Kiko, ese inolvidable personaje del Chavo del Ocho, que ha sufrido el ataque de mentes ingeniosas y otras no tanto. Pero primero el video original, en donde se escucha Bule Bule del grupo de rock mexicano Los Rockin Devil’s (a su vez basada en Wooly Bully del grupo de rock norteamericano Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs de 1965):

Y ahora sí, los videos modificados. En primer lugar Kiko nos da muestras de que el famoso perreo del reggaeton… lo ha inventado él. Gasolina de Daddy Yankee.

Seguidamente, Kiko le pone sabor tropical a su baile. Niña Fresa de Banda Machos.

Acá, Kiko demuestra sus habilidades con El Durangense, ritmo muy popular en las ciudades de frontera entre los Estados Unidos y México.

Kiko no sólo anduvo por México y los Estados Unidos, sino también en Perú. En este video, realmente muy bien editado, nos baila la Culebritica de Grupo 5.

Pero Kiko no sólo baila cumbias, también baila techno. Let’s Go Dancing de AntiFunky.

Uff! Kiko no se cansa y sin ningún tipo de prejuicio baila Marica tú de los españoles Los Morancos de Triana.

Y en este último que publicaré… realmente no sé que es más friki, si el baile de Kiko o la canción que se escucha. Chacarrón de El Chombo. Si alguien quiere ver el clip del infeliz que interpreta este tema, se los dejo acá (imperdible!).

En YouTube se pueden encontrar las mil variantes de este particular baile de Kiko; ponerlos todos sería realmente exagerado. No quiero que a nadie le de algún ataque de epilepsia o trombosis por ver esto.

Running a little late today so I’ll probably keep this short.  Really wanted to do a whole monster post on the band King’s X and in particular their 1990 album Faith Hope Love, but sadly YouTube is in extremely short supply of any quality videos from this one.  I guess that’s how you know something is underrated these days…Anyway, if anyone knows where I can find some clips I’d appreciate the heads up.

Instead, here’s a question: do you remember the band Drivin’ N’ Cryin’?  Here’s another: do you remember when CDs came in long cardboard boxes? Well, the two come together perfectly in this next clip:

That’s the song “Fly Me Courageous” from the 1991 album of the same name.  I heard that on the radio recently for the first time in forever and immediately thought “Wow, that’s still a pretty strong song.”  Not that you’d necessarily know that from the above performance, but still (note to band: next time Paul wants to play the organ in the background just politely say “no, thanks.”).  Drivin’ N’ Cryin’, like every other band I write about these days it seems, is from Atlanta, GA and to my surprise they’re still going pretty strong it seems, playing live all over the place and released albums pretty regularly up until 2003.  Here’s the band in 2006 playing the song “Let’s Go Dancing” from the same album.  A little more subdued, but I like how he makes “dancing” sound like “deeeancing”:

And on that note, it’s time for me to satisfy my sandwich urges.  Something better tomorrow…

Transposia lanceert een cd-rom (“Let’s Go Dancing”) met Véronique De Kock. Het is een multimediale danscursus waarmee je zeven verschillende stijldansen kan aanleren. De Kock geeft op de cd-rom aanwijzingen bij de verschillende dansen.

De Kock probeert de koper van de cd-rom wegwijs te maken in de Chachacha, Salsa, Swing Jive, Rumba, Salsa Hip-Hop, Tango en Wals met basislessen, figuren en oefeningen voor gevorderden. Op de cd-rom zijn ook videobeelden en tekeningen te zien. Tijdens het oefenen kan je Véronique De Kock hardop laten meetellen. De cd-rom is te koop voor 19,95 euro. Weet niet goed wat ik hiervan moet vinden… vooral dan het deel van de zin “oefeningen voor gevorderden”… ?
