Este ícone é perfeito para usuários do Windows Vista ou Windows 7, pois mesmo quando visualizado em resolução máxima nessas 2 versões do Windows o ícone não ficará digitalizado! Perfeito para detalhistas como eu.

I’ve been itching to use my 6,000+ bonus points I’ve earned over my time as a DiGi postpaid user and finally saw something worth redeeming my points for – the LG Secret K750…. Actually I would have liked to hold to my points until a true smartphone arrived but I’m now at a stage where I get a hundred points or so expiring at the end of each month so it’ll get harder to maintain my points at 6,000. I’ll post a review later once I get my hands on the phone. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the Secret.

The LG Secret has been around for a while now. I was actually deciding whether I should get this phone or the Nokia N81, but I chose the N81 because this phone has a resistive touchscreen. Anyways, it looks like the LG CF750 Secret could be heading to AT&T soon, according to the FCC. No one knows when or even if this is true, but we could see it soon. The LG Secret has pretty decent specs, such as: a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen with a 320 x 240 resolution, a 5MP camera with an autofocus, an LED flash, face detection, and video capabilities, 100MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot with up to 4GB support, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, a USB 2.0 port, an accelerometer, and an FM radio. It could also come in a couple of colours, like: black, ruby violet, and titan gold. We’ll just have to see if this news is true, if not then I just wasted about 8 minutes talking about this thing.

During a gathering last night with gg and rob, we touched upon a topic of proposal rings; they think a decent ring that would get a YES from the gal would be >$5k. At home, I asked my sisters, who suggested that the ring should be counted in the multiples of $10k, or at the very least 3x monthly salary.

All these talk of cos meant nothing to me; blowing a couple of k into a ring? oh come ON!

Here is a list of the reasons why an expensive diamond ring is deemed important:

1. Ring symbolizes forever (circle meant neverending)
2. Diamond also meant forever
3. Value of ring represents the guy’s sincerity
4. The whole affair becomes a reassurance for the gal, spiritually or monetarily

I hate to poke a pair of chopsticks in the dreamy eyes of gals, but (1) and (2) is a result of a marketing gimmick by De Beers more than half a century ago in order to convince people to resume spending on such luxury goods. In terms of the ‘good-luck symbol’, a simple wedding band and perhaps a speck of diamond dust can fit the bill.

For #3, how can one’s sincerity be pegged with a nominal value? hmmm… OK, this one, I admit I fall into the same category, except that I do not think in terms of a no-use diamond ring. I think of plans for the other party should I leave her voluntarily (break up) or involuntarily (death). I would consider, in conjunction with a simple ring that symbolizes eternal love, a $10k trust fund, put under her name during the proposal. Or perhaps a property (whichever I can afford). At least something which, when I am not around to provide for her, she could depend on for passive income (dividends/interest/rent) or capital gains (sell them away).

I mean, with respect to #4, even if a diamond ring is sellable (diamond is available for trade in, but basically, you can’t fetch a decent amount of money from selling a diamond ring after purchase from the shop), would you sell it, considering all the emotional value that came along with it?

Putting $10k in a diamond ring is even worse than putting $10k in a Fixed Deposit account, or investing in Citibank shares 1 year ago. At least I could recoup 10% of the investment sunk for the latter. ya… Even a branded bag can still be sold for at least 50% of the cost price. You get the drift.

I think those staunch defenders of ‘diamond rings are a must for wedding’ will be shaking their heads and thinking that I will never get a gal. hmmm…Maybe. But since part of a marriage process is about finding a partner who could think on common grounds, whoever I end up with will definitely find a $10k trust fund a better proposal gift than a diamond ring

We will then definitely make a good pragmatic pair…

I actually changed my hp a few days back. I had to change the ownership of my current number from my sis to me. And since that plan had never been renewed since 2000, a hp to go with the renewal (which has become a ritual for most) is a ‘must’.

Except for my 1st and 3rd hp, all my other handphones were under $100. In fact, 2 were $68 and the current one cost me $48 (getting lower and lower). I actually wanted to change to 6300, which was the one I was using, since I found the phone to be trusty and useful, and fulfills my simple wants for a handphone. However, it was not on the offer list; at least what I was shown.

My new phone, well, is a Secret ~shhh~

It was introduced mid of last year to much fanfare; in fact, its features were celebrated by a lot of critics. 5MP, good and sleek looks, scratch-proof glass, good user interface etc. However, it was also an example of how a product with good features can still fail due to its few monumental failures.

Like the screen that can’t be seen under strong sunlight, disappointing battery indication (2 days to go from 3-bar to 2-bar, but 1 day to go from 2-bar to total shut-off) and the lag in the touchpad sensing. As a result, it went from costing a couple of hundreds of dollars to just $48 within a matter of 6 months. I could live with the previous 2, since they can be circumvented, so my only grouch was with the high delay time.

Therefore, it is still a good phone to me.

As a fashion phone (1st time I’m using a fashion phone), the emphasis is of cos more on the aesthetics than ergonomics. It could easily be mistaken as a PDA touch phone, in addition to its sleek profile.

Oh, ya… it is NOT a touch phone. It has touch pads, yes. It does have a button that turns the screen into a touch screen (along with a menu with limited options to fulfill the touch screen capabilities) phone, but for most of the time, one would use it through its normal functions. Compounding to its lagging problem, manipulating the phone in its touch screen mode would be the ULTIMATE test of my patience.

The number keypads are actually about the same (if not bigger) than that of my Nokia 6300. However, due to its soft-rubber feel (as opposed to 6300’s hard plastic), I still could not bear to use my fingernails to do the typing. As a result, my fat thumb was always pressing the wrong buttons and I was always having to re-type my sms.

Also, it is ‘fatter’ than 6300; my short thumb could easily reach the keypad on the other end of the phone on 6300, but not so for Secret. So I usually have to use 2 hands to do the typing.

But all these are just inconveniences that could be overcome through constant usage. After all, I am now crossing over to a new brand, after using Nokia for the past 3 years.

Which was why these problems were not under my consideration of condemning it.

Also, some people who saw me use this phone was like commenting to me ‘you using LG Secret? No one buys it!’. I understand, with the picky nature of Sg-eans, why this phone failed to pick up. But this instead contributed to my persistence in using it. When I converted to 6300, I soon found 1 in 5 other people around me using the same phone. I bet for Secret, this number will probably fall to 1 in 50. Having a phone that not a lot of other people uses is a plus for me

Essa é uma das ações mais bacanas dos últimos tempos. Já acontecendo em outros lugares do mundo, agora rolou em São Paulo! O Fashion Mob é uma mobilização de um grupo de pessoas para fazer uma ação instantânea em algum lugar público.

Quem inovou e trouxe esta ação de marketing para o Brasil foi a LG.

O cenário escolhido foi a Rua Oscar Freire.

A data? Sábado passado, dias depois do término da SPFW, mas enquanto a cidade ainda respirava as tendências da moda.

Antes de acontecer, os blogueiros já faziam seus comentários sobre o mistério que ocorreria na Oscar Freire. Isso demonstra que a ação da LG já estava dando certo. Hoje, conseguir chamar a atenção por algo novo é quase raro. E os blogs são a nova ferramenta de comunicação e divulgação. Ponto pra LG, que queria lançar o celular substituto do LG Prada, o LG Secret.

Para iniciar a ação, os 40 modelos ficaram 30 minutos nas vitrines das lojas com os celulares nas mãos, fotografando, conversando, enfim, interagindo com o celular. Depois, os modelos desfilaram pelos dois lados da Rua. Enquanto isso, algumas pessoas exibiam placas “Ative seu bluetooth e descubra o segredo”. O segredo era o vídeo do novo celular enviado para os celulares com bluetooth. Único momento que se revelava a marca responsável pela ação.

A LG conseguiu chamar a atenção para o seu novo produto, com uma ação diretamente voltada para o seu público-alvo! Isso prova que às vezes vale muito mais uma ação bem planejada e não tão óbvia, que não é trabalhada em cima de divulgação clara da marca, do que querer mostrar a marca sem pensar na atitude do consumidor.

Os caras tiveram a manha de fazer um Flash Mob de um minuto com pessoas fazendo loucuras com cordas e saindo como se nada tivesse acontecido. Total conceito de Happening mesmo. Genial! O bacana desse movimento é a maneira com que mobiliza e envolve as pessoas. Sem dúvida uma grande oportunidade para um cliente disposto a ousar e causar frisson”.

LG associe le cuir avec le tactile ,le résultat n’est pas trop mal . Mais le gros point fort de ce nouveau Lg est son conteste son appareil photo numérique de 5 mégapixels ,en comparaison l’iphone ne pèse pas lourd avec son 2 mégapixels … 

Quand au détail techniques je ne le connaît pas mais on se doute que la batterie aura une autonomie de 3H comme tous les LG . Je vous tient au courant pour la fiche technique .^^
