M-a servit loial aproape doi ani, pana cand ecranul tactil a ‘crapat’. Nu, nu are nicio zgarietura, doar ca refuza sa mai ’simta’ impulsurile. Sunt la stadiul la care nu pot sa introduc nici PIN-ul. Contactele de pe SIM se recupereaza, la fel si datele de pe card. Eu insa mai vreau sa imi salvez si unele numere de telefon din memoria aparatului, precum si alte cateva informatii. Cu un cablu de date nu pot face asta decat daca e deschis, iar eu nu il pot deschide. Tastatura externa nu am vazut sau gasit pana acum. Any ideas?

As some of my readers are no doubt already aware, I like to take photos. However, due to a lack of funds, I am restricted to using my LG Viewty (KU990), which does have a good resolution, but lacks the bells and whistles that digital cameras have. I have decided to share some of my photos with you guys, as a show of appreciation and to let you know more about me as an individual. This website is the product.

1. Download EFS Media Builder disini http://www.ziddu.com/downloadlink/5656164/efs.rar kalo udah mati in dulu antivirus kamu coz toolnya kebaca virus..tapi tool ini sumpe bukan virus kok… (kalo ga mau ya udehh gapapa,,) trus ekstrak di sembarang tempat…
2. Bikin folder di komputer kamu,terserah mau taruh dimana,misal di My document,kasih nama foldernya LGAPP
3. Liat LG viewty kamu,masuk ke menu >> seting >> Phone setting >> connectivity >> USB connection mode >> pilih yang data services >> Select. Kalo udah colokin Lg viewty kamu ke PC via kabel data.
4. Terus Buka program EFSnya trus akan terbuka window dg tombol ‘explore’di bag kanan atas.klik tmbol explore itu,maka akan keluar window baru lagi ( lebih kecil) pilih LG ku990 >> connect ! (PENTING !! : kalo belom konek coba cabut trus colokin lagi,restart hape,restart PC kamu,ato ganti setting USB connection modenya jadi mass storage)
5. terlihat smacam window explorer dg 4 bagian,seperti kuadran gitu.bagian atas (kanan – kiri) mengexplore viewty kta dan bag bawah (kanan – kiri) adalh explore kompi kita



6. Pada kuadran kiri bawah,cari dimana kita taruh Folder LGAPP yang tadi kita buat (tadi kan misalnya kita taruh di my Document) buka folder LGAPP sehingga kuadran kanan bawah akan kosong,,(kan emang ga ada isinya)
7. Lanjut,liat kuadran kanan atas (LG viewty kita),ada folder LGAPP klik kanan trus rename TOTO,klik kanan TOTO trus refresh,sekarang LG viewty udah di hack,ntar layar LG viewty kita bakal jadi kuning sambil ada tulisan refresing…tenang aja..(gw juga sempet deg2an gan!aduuhh kok kuning ya,,klo gagal2 gimana…hehehe,tenang aja bos!)
8. Kalo udah matiin hape kita,(kalo ga bisa mati cabut aja batrenya,trus nyalain lagi…) trus konekin lagi ke PC,sekarang di kuadran kanan atas (LG viewty) ada folder LGAPP lagi..trus liat kuadran bawah (PC kita) pastiin masih menunjuk ke folder LGAPP.
9. Trus klik kanan di folder TOTO ( kuadran kanan atas) pilih read. File di TOTO bakal tercopy ke LGAPP di PC kita,trus nyalain PS3 ato Wii kamu coz ng-backup filenya butuh kira2 45 menit an…kalo udah 100 persen,berati kita udah backup firmware kita,
10. klik kanan di TOTO >> rename >> jadi LGAPP trus refresh >> klik disconnect >> yes >> hape kamu bakal di restart lagi.. trus nyalain lagi aja.. (kalo ga bisa nyala copot batere,trus pasang lagi)

Setelah berhasil ngback uP (berhasil ga?hehe) lanjut ke hacking tema . ..

Yang di perluin adalah :

7. kuadran kanan atas dobel klik LGAPP,cari dan doble klik folder media,cari folder swf >> doble klik,cari folder theme >> doble klik
8. kembali ke kuadran bawah kanan,klik kanan theme_bg2.swf >> write >> maka dia akan menimpa file theme_bg2.swf di viewty kita.
9. Liat kuadran atas kiri>> klik theme,trus liat kuadran bawah kanan,klik kanan trus pilih write di file – file ini widget2.swf,widget4.swf,dan nyx_viewtx.swf
10. liat kuadran kiri atas,klik di root folder,arahin kursor ke kuadran kanan atas,trus refresh…klik diskonek..yes..Viewty kamu akan direstart..
11. Masukin folder themes ( didalam theme manager) ke MicroSD kamu,(terserah mau pake cardreader ato kabel data,kalo kabel data ubah setingan USB koneksion modenya jadi mass storage,,kemudian seting folder theme>> jadiin hiden file termasuk subfolder,biar viewty kamu ga lemot.
12. Diskonek viewty,trus pilih theme silver >> masuk ke home screen >> tekan C dua kali,dan theme manager akan keluar,tinggal pilih yang kita suka…

5. Lihat kuadran kiri/kanan bawah : cari ekstrakan folder CYLv0.6.1 pilih semua file (DefDialpad.swf, Dialpad.swf, en-UK.xml, fr.xml, Nyx_Open_menu.swf, shortCut.swf)..klik kanan “write”
6. Lihat kuadran kanan atas : dalam folder LGAPP/Media/SWF >> doble klik theme folder (ada 4 file di dalamnya)

Kemarin tanggal 10 ane nyoba install lagi themes di LG viewty,pake mmc 512mb baru,,hhhooo…..

pertama bis install cracking bla bla,,gak mau keluar (ga ngefek apa2),trus ane bingung nih ..wats wrong??

ternyata nama “OpenMenu_nyx.swf” harus sama persis penulisannya kyk versi aslinya jadi ternyata ane renamenya “Openmenu_nyx.swf” beda huruf  O besar !! (harusnya O kecil!!!) grrr….oke udah berhasil temanya mau keluar,,but pas d pencet duble tap C..kok theme listnya ga keluar…wtf,,,pas d coba instal thema lagi…d ulang2 lagi,,eh akhirnya bisa!!hhe,so jgn kuatir hack thema kmu,,(asal Sw nya versi 10b,,hhe),,,

We’ve got a bit of catching up with the LG Viewty Smart to do since our first rendezvous. But let’s quickly review the basics. Whether you call it an LG Arena with a beefier camera or a Viewty on S-Class, we guess we’re happy either way. Oh, you can also call it Viewty2, while we go on and check if it’s 2 good 2 miss.

Sweet waistline and slick packaging, the Viewty Smart carries quite an impressive feature set including a 3″ capacitive touchscreen, 8 megapixel autofocus camera with loads of options and the high-flying S-Class Touch UI. The Viewty is not smartphone kind of smart but the inspired interface and the sharp gadgety looks do give its name some credence.

Hace unos pocos días cambie mi Samsung F-480 por un LG ke990d (Viewty)

En muchos sitios de Internet, se describe como un fono muy bueno, buena cámara, teclado qwerty, video sensacional, etc…

Como usuario de este fono, ahora lo único que quiero es olvidarme que bote mi dinero comprándolo.

• El sistema de correo no soporta SSL (osea no lo puedes usar con gmail)
• El teclado Qwerty sólo esta disponible para mensajes de correo, sms, y notas. cuando navegas en Internet no esta disponible la opción de usar el teclado qwerty.
• No puedes tener abierto el reproductor de música y al mismo tiempo abrir alguna otra aplicación, como por ejemplo opera mini.
• El sonido del reproductor de música es MUY bajo
• No se puede retirar la Micro SD sin apagar el teléfono y retirar su batería
• Es obligatorio usar el software de lg cuando conectamos el fono al computador.
• Cuando esta bloqueado no funcionan las teclas de subir o bajar el volumen.
• No entiendo por que no lee tags de mp3 que mi antiguo f480 si leía.
• Su agenda es malisima, amenos que la uses junto con Outlook.
• La calidad de las fotos no es muy distinta a la del f-480
• La calidad de los videos es GENIAL, lo único bueno del teléfono, realmente muy buenos videos

Ahora sólo me queda, tratarlo bien, venderlo lo antes posible, y comprar un telefono que realmente me sirva para lo que quiero:

Teclado Qwerty.
Buena cámara.
Buena resolución de pantalla.
Buen sonido.

Como lección… probar mucho un fono antes de comprarlo, no quedarse sólo con los videos de youtube y comentarios en blogs de tecnología.

I went to the shop a little while ago, we’re nearly out of Diet Coke and I wanted to get more.  When I got to the crossing point I pushed the little button and waited for the green man.  The light turned red and the cars stopped, but just as I was stepping off the pavement a cyclist flew through the lights anyway.  I looked right at him, made eye contact as I do when I nearly get run over.  He saw me, looked right at me, kept his head held high and mouthed something at me.  I was all set to stand in the road shouting obscenities after him, til my brain processed what it had lipread – “oops, sorry“.

So, Mr Cyclist, if ever you read this (which, let’s face it, he won’t), don’t worry about it.  I’ve walked out into traffic plenty of times, everyone makes mistakes.  And there are plenty as wouldn’t bother apologising.  It’s appreciated.

I had a productive morning today, and I’m planning on continuing on that theme as soon as this is published.  We got up and did some tidying this morning, the place isn’t spotless by any means but it looks like it’s lived in by, what’s the word… weirdos.  You know, those people that always hang up their coat when they get home from work, and never leave the post on the coffee table, and make the bed every morning, all that stuff.

We went round to our new flat and collected the tenancy agreement and the keys.  We’re not officially moving in until 1st March but we’re allowed to go and bring bits and pieces round, which is very cool.   I paid extra close attention this time so I’d knoww here all the radiators and everything are.  For more efficient obsessing-over-furniture-placement.

We went round to Carphone Warehouse and I had a look at the two handsets I’m trying to choose between for my free Orange upgrade.  The guy in the shop recommended the Samsung Tocco, while I like the look of the LG Viewty.  The problem is I’m really fussy about my handsets, I love the way the Viewty looks but if I don’t like the workings I will always regret getting it – I have a Sony Ericsson that I never use because I could never get the hang of it.  The Samsung Tocco is my second choice, I don’t hate it by any means but I don’t like it to look at just quite as much as the Viewty.  However, I know Samsung, I like Samsung, and I won’t hate it just because it doesn’t make sense to me.  So Samsung Tocco it is, and bring it on.  That is my Monday lunchtime mission, and hopefully by Tuesday I will be blogging all about how wonderful it is.

After the Carphone Warehouse we went and got the papers, and food for the weekend – we’re out tonight and I’m hoping we eat out, but tomorrow is Sunday and I’m not moving.  You can’t make me.  We got ourselves a chicken to roast (mmm, and it’s even from an RSPCA inspected farm) and bacon and black pudding so brunch is sorted.  Sunday is meat day chez moi.

We came home and I went for the Diet Coke, as well as vegetables, because we have an excellent Turkish supermarket type place nearby – it’s ten times better than Co-op and Spar and from what I can make out, the same price or cheaper.

Then My Man went to the pub so I watched Grey’s Anatomy (the new series) and now he’s napping so I’m watchingS Supernatural.

Well I got a new phone like 3 weeks ago, an LG Viewty.

It was second hand so I wasn’t expecting too much to be honest. However it came in pretty good condition, it was already unlocked (not exactly hard to do but yeah) but the touch screen had no scratches whatsoever. However the silver trimmings along the side were a bit scratched though. I didn’t worry though and just got on with using my phone.

Searching around the LG Viewty forums, I was basically changing firmware for the first few days, messing around with themes and stuff. However, the themes were kinda slow and seeing as LG are gay and won’t really allow theme changers, half the custom themes didn’t look too good on the Viewty so I ended up switching back to the default black one.

I also found out about Unique Skins on there and worked out how to become and affiliate and receive a free skin xD After become an affiliate I designed and sent my order for a free skin

Just to let you guys know, Unique Skins is a company that produces custom skins for many types of mobile phones and mp3 players as well as laptops and game consoles for a very low price (especially if you live in the USA). You get to upload pictures and design your own or use the designs that are already there. It’s really cool as you can make your phone look awesome and customize it to the way you want to. And it doesn’t cost much either and lasts for a long while.

I then started to get annoyed with the silver trimmings so I decided to get new housing for the phone however after receiving it I didn’t have the right screwdriver to open my phone up so I just left it there.

The next day my Unique Skin arrived! ^_^ (Today) I borrowed a screwdriver from a friend but it wasn’t the right one either so I gave up on the housing and just scratched off all the silver trimming parts, if worse came to worse then I’d just go out and get a screwdriver and change the housing. However now, I love the Viewty, without the silver parts it looks even more awesome! :O

Then I stuck the Unique Skin on my phone and WAH! It looks even more awesome! ^-^ (Check the right side of the page to see the link to Unique Skins).

As you can see the quality is quite nice and you get to design your own skins ^^ It’s made from some M3 material which to me looks like some really nice printed plastic that manages to stick to your phone and looks like it will stay there for a while. It’s also really smooth so the picture won’t get scratched off easily. I guess like most plastics if you leave it in the sun it’ll lose the colour or if you scratch it it’ll get scratched easily. It looks really awesome as it has a glossy shine to it and I simply love my simple front cover and my Shakugan no Shana back cover. Well I’ll be using these for a while (I guess until it begins to rip/get cut/fade in colour) and then I’ll order some more as it’s just under a $10 for international mail (I live in the UK) when I get bored XD

Well yeah, just wanted to let you guys know about it xD.

Well now to talk about the LG Viewty; the first thing I gotta say is. It sure is worth it’s money. For around £80-90 second hand or £130 brand new, it’s a total bargain. It has a boastable 5MP camera as well as fully touch screen. It also features 120fps video recording and some nice camera features (check out the viewty water balloon video on Youtube – really awesome!) It supports up to 2GB memory cards (but 8GB works too – search on Viewty forums to find out how) and can play DivX videos now this is a TOTALLY awesome feature. Watching Anime with subs? Sorted. With a 3 inch touchscreen supporting up to 640*480 .avi videos, it relaly is an awesome phone for me. Listenining to music, taking pictures every now and then and watching anime is all I need really and as I said right at the beginning, for the price it’s sold at, it really is a bargain. However, there are many disadvantages of getting a Viewty. Firstly, the phone is quite laggy as it’s internal RAM is really low. You can see that the iPhone is much faster. Another thing is that it doesn’t fully support widgets so you don’t have the cool Samsung Tocco/Omnia features (However there’s a cool theme by Joe which copies the Tocco theme). The music player isn’t the best either and is nowhere near as awesome as a walkman phone. However it does have one touch shuffling and you can make playlists of up to 100 songs. However, the songs can’t be arranged on your memory card so that kinda sucks. A problem that I’ve heard is that the bluetooth signal sucks though but I don’t use bluetooth very often so I guess that’s not a problem for me. I also heard the battery life sucks but even with this second hand Viewty, the can last 2-3 days if I call people for around an hour, watch around 3 episodes of anime and listen to around 2 hours of music and send around 20 text messages. That’s pretty good battery life considering it’s second hand. Maybe a first hand one will be able to do that for like 4-5 days? If it can that really is awesome. However, there are loads of bugs that people have found and when sending it to LG, all LG say is that there will be a firmware update sometime… Bleh it’s bull, LG’s customer support sucks. The new Renoir coming out is basically a Viewty but better (but also more expensive)

Well I’ll just say that the Viewty is an awesome phone for non-hardcore users but could have been much improved. If you’re on a limited budget like me, then get the Viewty, if not then i’d say go for the iPhone if you like surfing the web/music or for the Samsung Omnia if you’re more multi tasking. They do cost like 3-4x more than the Viewty though lol.
