Eric Cortes

#LatinosDoingTheirThing is probably one of the best hash tags Eric Cortes have seen in a while. So how is he a Latino doing their thing? Well Eric grew up with (almost) nothing. He had his parents and hermano who always told him to stay in school and go to college and get a good job.

Well that’s him today! Eric works for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation in the communications department. Specializing in the Hispanic Market, he works with local and national journalists to tell a positive Philadelphia story including the most recent USA Today story “10 great places for Latino flavor, flair.” Of course he also loves social media so he is the proud tweeter of @PhillyTeAma, just another way to reach a niche audience (including some of the best people he’s “never” met… #LATISM).

Eric also serves as the Web-Site/Social media committee chair for the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and the National Board Secretary for Gamma Phi Sigma “Hermanos Unidos” Fraternity, Inc. Eric’s fraternity has been a key part of his life because he surrounds himself with positive Latino males who want to be exceed the norm.

In his spare time Eric blogs at http://thehispanic.blogspot.com, it’s a blog about “us” en los estados unidos and then some. Something important to him is also being a leader and that’s why Eric has devoted his Saturdays to the 2010 Latino Leadership Institute, a part of the Philadelphia Prevention Partnership.

Throughout Eric’s whole life he has always wanted to support his mom and dad because in the end they are the only 2 people that will be there no matter what. It’s sad that he actually makes more money than them today but as he said, they pushed him to become better. Their American Dream wasn’t to find stability in America, it was so that their sons could become educated Latino leaders in America.

For Latinos success does not come easy. It takes an extra step of determination and dedication to achieve goals and advance in a professional career. Every path is different but the trials are the same. For example, overcoming poverty, racism, discrimination, these are just of the few of the issues Latinos must struggle through to become successful and the reasons why the Latino Community as a collective should celebrate every achievement. November has been a great month for Latinos and let us be proud and recognize those who have made history.

Miguel Diaz has been appointed one the highest positions as a U.S. representative in the Vatican. The Cuban-born ambassador is the first Latino to hold this position which requires him to “shape policy on issues where the church and Obama administration share common goals: poverty, world hunger, human trafficking, the Middle East, HIV/AIDS, terrorism and the environment’” (Charles, Jacqueline). Miguel has worked as a professor of theology in St. John University and St. Benedict located in Minnesota. He has succeeded in becoming a true icon for Latinos in Washington.

Growing up in Spanish Harlem could not have been easy for Carmen Ortiz, the oldest of five. Carmen has overcome the odds and is now the first  woman and Latina U.S. Attorney for the state of Massachusetts. The daughter of Puerto Rican parents graduated from George Washington Law School in 1981 and has worked on the Harvard/Guatemala criminal justice projects and the October surprise “team  for the U.S. Senate Committee  on foreign Relations” (Associated Press). She is great influence to Latinas across the country and is a leader to her people.

There are many other great successes made by Latinos recently for example, George Lopez the first Latino to Host a late night show and Edward Casares Jr. the first Fire Chief in the city of Hartford, Connecticut. These Latinos and Latina deserve a standing ovation from the Latino Community. They will help pave the way for a brighter professional future for our children and motivate those who have lost hope. Let us be proud of our people. Let us be proud of what we can do, Pa’lante.

Well, no tracklisting (except for a hint that it’ll be 14 songs) yet, but we now know that there will indeed be an I’ve Mania Tracks vol. II, to be released on December 29 at Comiket 77. Additionally, the Visual Art’s booth will be boasting an EP by the name of “Panorama”, set to feature a ‘remastered’ version of KOTOKO’s Zutto Soba ni… in addition to songs from popular non-I’ve vocalists Lia, Rita and Haruka Shimotsuki. Exactly how much the new version of the song will differ from the 6-year-old original remains to be seen, but the smart money’s on “probably not a whole lot”.

As an aside, I’d like to note that Mania Tracks vol. II boasts some of the strangest cover art in I’ve history. Cartoon versions of Nakazawa and Takase? With Nakazawa’s shirt reading “We are Outer” and Takase flipping the bird? Who thought that up?

Orna Wiseman

Orna was born in Israel of Argentinean parents. Her ancestry is Jewish, and her forebears come from Spain, Syria, Egypt and Russia. Orna has family members living in Latin America, the US, Israel, France, Mexico, Switzerland and Italy. In an effort to escape the relentless Middle East violence against the young Jewish state, at a young age Orna and her family moved to Argentina, only to have to leave Argentina when she was in high school to escape the military repression and non-stop anti-Semitism.

Orna, as she describes herself was twice a penniless immigrant in a family of seven. However, that did not stop her from setting high goals and surpassing amazing feats.

Imagine a woman that through hard work in babysitting, typing resumes, teaching and tutoring in Spanish and Math and even working as a camp counselor was able to pay her way through engineering school. While attending school, Orna and her family did all they could to make it and stay strong. For part of her college years Orna and her family had to live in low income housing and had to request assistance from local government officials in hopes of obtaining their visa’s and not having to be forced to return to the militarized Argentina.

After much diligence, Orna received her green card and went to work for a major chemical company, where she moved up in management and after 15 years left to get a Wharton MBA. Later, she spent another 15 years as corporate advisor and management consultant to CEOs, CFOs, and CIOs of global companies in the US, Europe and Japan.

Orna not only dedicated herself to establishing herself in her career, she is also dedicated and established in her community. She has served on numerous community organization boards, most recently on the local Philadelphia board and then the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, (National Board of NSHMBA) which encourages other Latinos to get advanced management and leadership education.

Here we have a woman that is not only fully bilingual in Spanish and English with university-level mastery of both, but she is also proficient in Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, and has familiarity in German, French and Japanese. Truly nothing this woman can’t accomplish.

Today, after two major career changes, she is now running a small medical/engineering translation agency and contemplating a third career, either in a corporate mentoring role or as an online journalist and community activist. While achieving great success in her career, Orna did it with a loving family by her side. Her husband and two children who are now grown, and just to add one of them works for a website you may of heard of Facebook J. And they are extremely proud of their wife and mom

Although our recognition of Orna ends here, she will surely continue to accomplish great things and continue to be a great contributor to society.

A mobilom volt. Fölvettem.

– Halló? – szóltam bele álmosan.

– Szia, Kira vagyok. Hallottad, hogy mi történt?! – kérdezte izgatottan.

– Kira, mégis honnan tudhatnám, hogy mire célzol? – morogtam.

– Na jó, akkor elmondom. Éjjel valami őrült felégette a fél sulit. Óriási kárt okozott!

– Ugye, ez valami vicc? – nyögtem döbbenten.

– Nem. Kapcsold be a TV-t, abban is erről van szó éppen! A tantermek nagyja és a tornaterem szénné égett! Az aula se maradt teljesen ép. A tanítást bizonytalan időre felfüggesztik, mert szomszéd városban lévő suliba nem mehetünk, náluk így is túl sokan vannak

– Oké, köszi. Ez több volt, amennyit tudni akartam. Szia!

Nagy nehezen felkeltem, és rendbe szedtem magam. Most már nem úgy néztem ki, mint egy madárijesztő!

Levonultam a nappaliba, a fiúk még aludtak. Csak ketten voltak. Tom hiányzott.

Kimentem a konyhába, Tom ott ült, és kávét iszogatott.

– Jó reggelt! – köszönt édesen mosolyogva.

– Reggelt? Már fél egy van. Képzeld, a sulit leégették, és most nem lesz tanítás.

A – Ez komoly, vagy csak szívatsz? – nézett rám hitetlenkedve.

– Dehogy, ilyennel nem viccelnék – feleltem sértődötten. – Amúgy én nyertem – vigyorodtam el diadalittasan.

– Tényleg?

– Mindenre visszakérdezel, vagy csak az álmosság miatt van? – kérdeztem bosszankodva.

– Na, ne! Te se vagy az a frissesség – bökött felém az ujjával.

– Ez nem igaz. Tom, te egy undo bundok vagy! – ültem le vele szembe.

– Hogy mi? Ez egy vudu varázsszó? – kérdezte értetlenül.

– Izé, akarom mondani, undok bunkó! – helyesbítettem elpirulva.

– Így már jobb – vigyorodott el.

– Kérsz reggelit? – álltam fel, majd odasétáltam a hűtőhöz.

– Még szép, rántottát pirítóssal – adta le a rendelést egyből.

– Na, nézd már a kis éhenkórászt! – röhögtem.

Annyit csináltam, hogy többieknek is jusson. Felébredt mindenki, és megreggeliztek. Bár ez inkább már ebédnek minősült.

– Hány óra? – kérdezte Gustav tele szájjal.

– Fél három lesz – válaszoltam.

– A francba! Elkéstünk a próbáról, ma fellépésünk lesz – állapította meg Bill rémülten.

– Uh, kiment a fejemből – ütötte fejbe magát Georg.

– Legközelebb köss csomót a hajadra! – jegyeztem meg gúnyosan.

A fiúk összeszedték a cuccaikat és elmentek. Még az sem zavarta őket, hogy a tegnapi ruhájuk van rajtuk.

– Na és mit csináltatok egész éjjel? – kíváncsiskodtam Emire nézve, miközben mosogattam.

– Beszélgettünk, csókolóztunk meg tapizás volt – mesélte ábrándosan mosolyogva.

– Semmi extra? – kérdeztem csalódottan.

– Én akartam, de Georg azt mondta, hogy várjunk még vele.

– Mennyit?

– Minimum két hónapot.

– Ez lelombozó! Általában a csajnak kell leállítania a pasit, nem pedig fordítva.

– Ja, az. Lia, szerinted hol szúrtam el? – csóválta meg a fejét szomorúan.

– Sehol. Georgnak van igaza, még csak három és fél hónapja jártok.

– Lehet, de ez kiborít! – dobta a konyharuhát az asztalra.

– Ugyan már! Tudod mit, inkább menjünk el vásárolni!

– Jó ötlet! Csak az a baj, hogy az anya által múltkor itt hagyott euró mennyiség eléggé megfogyatkozott.

– Rendben, akkor húsz euró a maximum, amit elköltünk – karoltam belé, majd elindultunk.

Emi rögtön kinézett egy ruhát, ami húsz euró volt. Lebeszéltem róla. Utána még egy órán át sopánkodott érte.

Végül vettünk két felsőt, és ettünk, így maradt még 5 eurónk.

Miután hazamentünk, átöltöztünk, és leültünk beszélgetni.

– Szerinted mit csináljunk a sok szabadidőnkkel most, hogy a suli nem üzemképes? – kérdezte Emi.

– Talán elkezdhetnénk a CD munkálatokat – töprengtem.

– Melyiket? – sandított rám.

– Hát a sajátot, te dinnye! Egy lemez, tíz-tizenhárom számmal. No TH rajta! – nyújtottam ki a nyelvemet rá.

– Oké, felfogtam! Én most megyek, mert fáradt vagyok – Itt ásítást színlelt.

– Én is. Jó éjt!

– Neked is.

Éjjel fura hangokra lettem figyelmes, ám nem tudott nagyon érdekelni. Bizonyára csak egy zajos betörő volt, ezért visszaaludtam.

Reggel Emi ébresztőt fújt.

– Lia, képzeld mi történt éjjel! – ugrált az ágyamon lelkendezve.

– Te is hallottad? – kérdeztem meglepetten, mert neki általában semmi sem zavarhatja meg az álmát.

– Georg elcsente a kulcsom, és belopózott hozzám. Hát nem romantikus? – huppant le boldogan.

– Nem! – vágtam rá dühösen. – Mi lett volna, ha elveszti?

– Olyan pesszimista vagy! – nyávogta lehangoltan.

– Bocs, hogy féltem a házat és magunkat!

A nap további része inkább már érdekes volt.

Bementünk Menihez, és megbeszéltük a munkálatokat.

Holnap elkezdünk dolgozni a CD-n.

Délután Peter segítségével kiválogattam a dalokat, amik rákerülnek. Tizenhárom plusz két szám lesz rajta. Többek közt: Freak, Help, Love in the sky és a True Love.

Március végére elkészültünk a lemezzel, és ki is adtuk. Az első klipünk a Freak volt.

A német slágerlistán az ötödik helyig jutott.

Ennek örömére hatalmas bulit csaptunk a csajokkal, és természetesen Billék is meg voltak hívva rá. Mindannyian nagyon örültek a sikerünknek, még Bill is.

Ez jól esett nekem.

Az újságban megjelent legelső cikknek rólunk ez volt a címe: „A TH legnagyobb konkurenciája, az új lány csapat: Crazy Angels!”.

A második pedig így hangzott: „ A Tokio Hotel új riválisa: Crazy Angels!”

Nem értem, hogy miért mindenki az ellenséget látja bennünk.

A TH számára nem jelentünk veszélyt, vagy mégis?

cara, nossa revolta vai virar um post aqui do blog, Flávia, e sou eu que to postando pq a Flávia seria grossa e a gente não quer isso (quem disse?)

tá, mas chegando ao assunto do post.. pessoas. Tem vezes que as pessoas conseguem entender tudo errado ou entendem certo e fingem que não entenderam aí começam a falar besteiras por aí. então vamos tentar meio que esclarecer as coisas.

Ontem a Karina (dona do jonasbrasil) postou no twitter dela perguntando o que era team brasil pq tem alguns sites brasileiros sobre os jonas que pegam notícias na team brasil que originalmente são do jonasbrasil e postam dando créditos à team brasil.

A Karina não tava culpando a team brasil por nada ela só tava querendo saber o que era, ela não tava acusando ninguem de nada, aí vem as pessoas e começam a chamar ela de trouxa e rir.

Cara, sério, se não fosse pela Karina talvez os Jonas nem tivessem vindo aqui, muitas das pessoas que hoje são fãs nem conheceriam eles tanto assim, então cara ela pode ser o que vcs quiserem, menos trouxa. Então, sabe não falem as coisas antes de saber o que aconteceu de verdade, só pq vcs acham alguma coisa, ela já disse que não acusou ninguem de nada, só queria saber, o que é direito dela pq é ela e as oputras pessoas do jonasbrasil que têm o trabalho de procurar as notícias, traduzir e tal.

Lá na comunidade todos os devidos créditos são dados, mas é sacanagem as pessoas irem lá, pegarem as notícias e não darem o crédito certo.

Jag läser ofta om folk som har ångest för jul De tänker på sina anhöriga som gått bort och hur jobbiga julen är då.

Men min julångeest beror på stress stress stress. Jag vill bara vara hemma. Inte fara omkring som en kringresande Zieganer som vi gör.

När barnen var små så hade jag ännu julglädje lite grann så man kunde pynta och ta fram saker med som för dom. Men senaste åren känner jag mig som Grinchen. Julen är Pain in as.Sticka i röven på ett utedass är till och mer roligare!

I går var vi på Rusta. De undviker jag innan jul men mitt Jean Helen Schampo var slut så de var bara åka. Och dottra ser denna förbannade Julgran:

De så jag har nu i svag stund lova henne 2 år denna julgran. Men den har vart slut jipiiiiiii … Men tro ni de var de nu när vi var ute i god tid?

Visst vet ni vad jag tycker om rosa*nickar* Ska inte granen vara grön så ska den banne mig vara svart. Nåja hennes jul är räddad och ni ska veta denna gran kommer jag att spara tills hon flyttar hemifrån! För den ska hon då få ta med sig.

Första advent på Söndag. Minns när kidens var små och man skulle på stan. De var alltid snö och svinkallt. I år har vi nu plus 4 grader och gröna gräsmattor. November i år har vart den varmaste på 40 år. Men meteorologen i Luleå sa de har blivit mer och mer snöfria julskyltningar.

Så om vi får barnbarn kan vi berätta “När vi var små hade vi en meter snö i Luleå i november, snö..Ja ni vet sån där vit som kommer från himmelen”

Första advent på sändag..Men..De postiva är de snart bara ett halvår kvar till Midsommar de ni!

Maken ska då jobba mellandagarna på Krogen och nyårsafton med. Så de blir lugna puckar här hemma sen blir de för han att de d lite lugnare med sitt helgjobb. Nu ska han dock vara ledig 2 helger.

Nästa helg ska vi ju tillbringa på Pite havsbadet. Vi tog “extra” timmar på hotellrummet så vi checkar ut först kl 14 så skönt! Måste testa kläderna maken beställde hem åt mig och på köpet så beställde han även ett par stövlar med lite klack. så han har gjort “Makeover” sin frun inför kvällen som kommer nästa helg.

Idag var de dag förvirrad. När jag kom ut på E4:an kom jag på att kaninen satt och bet i gallret inge mat. Men glömde henne lika fort (Dottra sov hos mina föräldrar) Så jag gjorde nå jag ALDRIG gör. Ringde och sa åt maken “Ge kaninen mat” sen la jag på. Prata i mobil och köra bil gör jag inte och jag blir irriterad om maken gör de. Men de var och ens ensak.

Satt och reta mig på att makens vindruta inte ville bli skienade ren. De så vi har en försäkring som kostar oss 350:- för 2 år tro jag de var och då får vi byta ut ruta GRATIS om de går sönder eller blir stenskott. Så vi är inne på våran andra nya ruta i bilen och de så skönt! Jag vill ha klar sikt när jag kör.

Hur som helst så spolde jag av rutan men tyckte njaa..Fasen de syns inte så bra ut som jag vill. Men tänkte efter lite irritation de där får jag kolla när jag ska hem och de ljus i fall de nå skit på insidan..Och de ska ni vet att jag upptäckte att de var när jag klev ur bilen*nickar* de var brillorna mohaaaa…

Efter morgon rapportering så tog jag två av de boende som man kan ta själv. Gå bredvid som elev är svårt för mig. Men de uppskattas att man tar egna initiativ och jag har sagt jag kan inte vara kardborre heller hela tiden.

När jag kom ner så frågade de hur de gick hos h*n jag var till. BRA tyckte jag. När jag kom in satt h*n på KÖKSBORDET.. De jag skulle säga var VID köksbordet.

Samma nr 2 jag var in till och hjälpte med diverse så gick jag in senare och sa “Vet ni h*n sitter på köksbordet ännu!” Där var de samma.. De skulle vara VID..Så de vart lite skämt och roliga skratt.

De så härligt gäng att “jobba” hos och de så härliga boende. Man blir varm i hjärtat för var dag som går när flera och flera säker kontakt med en. När man kommer på morgonen och de ropar”Hej S!!” Samma när jag skulle hem”Hej då när kommer du tillbaka?” Då känner man sig “hemma”

Även här har jag blivit kallad ängel..”Du ser ut som en ängel” .. Vem vet jag kanske är en fallen ängel..Skämt och sido..De mitt hår som gör att även när jag har jobba i hemtjänst,avlastninghem och äldreboende senaste åren har jag fått kommatar “Här kommer ängeln”

Nää..nu måste jag off… Slut som artist men lever..De gör jag..TREVLIG HELG!

Blir de att bo på. Pallar inte pendla nu denna vecka har jag bara två korta dagar kvar och de ska jag nog kirra men från nästa vecka blir de bo borta. Kan inte hjälpas måste prova om de pendlingen som tär eller om de kroppen som bara vill vara ovän med mig.

“Jobbade” 4 dagar förra veckan sen var jag ledig fredag och lördag.

Gick kväll söndag och morgon måndag och idag kan jag knappt röra mig. Kan inte heller droga mig eftersom jag måste köra bil så de bara bita i hop och le.

Så 4 dagar på rak blir de inte mer. Funderade ett tag på att korta ner dagar men då blir de 4-5 dagar på raken. Nåja vi får se nu ska jag bo där borta så jag ska ta tre dagar på raken sen är jag ledig för återhämtning flera dagar.

Så jag ska då inte pendla utan de blir jobba/Sova/jobba/sova. La in kvällar då börjar vi 9.30 -20. Då blir de kanon man går hem till sig och sover och får sova lite längre med.

Ska till sjukgymnasten idag och bryta lite i bäckenlederna. Tro jag blir sämre med eftersom jag inte kommer ner i bassängen och kan röra på mig . Måste komma i håg att ta med schema så vi kan boja in dejter och ev bassängtider eller hallen.

Men..Peppar peppar..De positiva är att min bröstrygg blivit bättre när jag börja med Tandläkar bedövningsbehandligen. Så nu sitter smärtan i bäckenben, nacke och käkar I bland är man glad att de är Pest i stället för Kolera de är skilland!

Trivs som F** på stället jag är. För var dag som går så får man bara mer och mer postiva upplevelser. Jag vart så glad för en kvinna kom och bjöd mig “hem” till sig så jag fick se hur hon bor. Bara en sån sak får en att bli varm i hjärtat. För just dessa människor är speciella.

Nä jag vet inte vad jag skulle blogga om från början men nu ska jag ta 2 panodil och dra mig på soffan en stund innan sjukgymnastiken..

– Ó, mielőtt döntene a kishölgy, szavazzuk meg! Ki akarja, hogy együtt albumot adjatok ki?

Heten föltették a kezüket.

Én vagyok az egyetlen tiltakozó. Ezt nem hiszem el!

– Le vagy szavazva! – örvendezett Emi.

– De én akkor sem akarom! – tiltakoztam továbbra is.

Ha én nem csinálom meg, akkor viszont nincs énekes, így az egész bukta.

– Rendben. Válassz, vagy kilépsz a csapatból, vagy elfogadod! – állított Anna döntés elé.

– Anna, ugye, ezt nem gondolod komolyan? – kérdezte Amanda ijedten.

– Oké, kilépek! – mondtam hűvösen.

Mindenki elképedt, még Anna is. Azt várta, hogy majd beadom a derekam a kis fenyegetőzésére. Sajnos, ahhoz túl büszke vagyok!

Az a gond, hogy nagyon szerettem a csapatot, és nem akartam itt hagyni! Miért kényszerítenek erre?!

– Most csak hülyülsz, ugye? – kérdezte Emily sápadtan.

– Nem, nem hülyülök. Sziasztok! – köszöntem, majd elsétáltam.

Pedig nem akartam.

A hülye büszkeségem miatt szívok. Ezt nem hiszem el! Én is csak egy liba vagyok, aki fennhordja az orrát, és képtelen leereszteni!

Már patakzottak a könnyeim. A parkban lyukadtam ki, ott pedig leültem egy padra. Megint itt ült az a néni.

– Mi bánt kislányom? – kérdezte szelíden, mintha egy porcelánvázához beszélne, amely bármelyik percben eltörhet.

– Találtunk egy menedzsert, aki a barátaink bandáját is menedzseli. Minket is a szárnya alá venne.

– És hol itt a probléma, kedvesem?

Lehajtottam a fejem.

– Azt akarja, hogy a másik bandával közösen készítsünk lemezt. Én viszont nem akarom! Magam sem tudom, hogy miért. Imádom a bandám, mégis otthagytam őket egy ilyen semmiség miatt! Pedig nem akartam! Csak a büszkeségem! Utálom! Vissza akarok menni!

– Mi akadályoz meg benne? – kérdezte egy hang mellőlem.

Ez már nem a néni hangja volt, sokkal inkább Tomé. Ő ült mellettem.

– Nem tudom, egyszerűen nem menne! – borultam rá a vállára sírva.

– Dehogynem, csak te nem hiszel benne! – vigasztalt, miközben a hátamat simogatta.

– Lehet, hogy az én hibám – vallottam be végül. – Igazad van, egy próbát megér!

– Remek, akkor menjünk vissza – mondta Tom vidáman, majd felállt.

Én követtem őt. Lassan, de biztosan beértünk a stúdióba.

– Már azt hittük, hogy sose jöttök vissza! – ugrott fel a menedzser izgatottan a helyéről.

– A kicsike végül meggondolta magát – vigyorodott el Tom, majd megveregette a vállam.

– Tom! Mókustörvény! – néztem rá ördögien vigyorogva.

Tom rögtön védekező pózba állt, és szépen eloldalazott.

– Mikor kezdjük a munkálatokat? – kérdezte Georg.

– Ácsi! Előbb saját lemezt kell kiadnunk – vágott közbe Amanda.

– Aha. Nem szeretném, ha nevet kéne váltanunk! – állt mellé Emi.

– Ezzel mire célzol? – értetlenkedett Gustav.

– Arra, hogy mi lennénk a Tokio Cicák, nem? – kérdeztem idétlenül.

– Az nem lenne túl jó – mondta végül a menedzser.

Mindenki elröhögte magát.

– De mi lesz, ha nem megy az együttdolgozás? – kérdezte Anna.

Mi erre rémült pillantásokat váltottunk. Eddig is elég sok konfliktus volt a fiúk és köztünk, nem kéne még több.

Talán lehet, hogy mégsem olyan jó ötlet az egész, mint amilyennek először hangzott?

– Hidd el, arra is van egy módszerem! – mosolygott sejtelmesen a menedzser.

Ez számomra vészjóslóan hangzott.

– A menedzser nekem túl hosszú szó, hívjunk inkább Meninek – ajánlotta Emi.

Meninek elfintorodott az arca.

– Ez király, Meni! – mondta Georg.

Mindenkinek tetszett az ötlet kivéve Menit.

– Oké, gyerekek, ha kiszórakoztátok magatokat, szóljatok! – mondta, és komótosan elment.

– Ajjaj, nekem mennem kell, mert randim van Peterrel. Sziasztok! – Elrohantam.

A randi jól telt, egyre jobban kezdtem megkedvelni őt, de mégis valami hiányzott belőle, ami…

Nem, Lia, erre nem gondolhatsz!

Este, mikor hazamentem három fiú ült a kanapén, és tévéztek.

Hiányzott: Emi és Georg, Anna, és Amanda.

Sejtettem, hogy Emiék mit is csinálhattak.

Annát bizonyára Tom elüldözte, Amanda pedig bulizni ment.

– Hát ti? – kérdeztem meglepődést színlelve.

– Úgy volt, hogy filmet nézünk, de Emily és Georg felmentek a szobába, Annának agyára ment Tom, és Ami meg bulizik. Így mi maradtunk – adta az egyszerű választ Bill.

– Társulok hozzátok! Játszunk, „ki marad fent a legtovább?”-ot! – huppantam le közéjük.

– Oké, de mi legyen a díj? – kérdezte Gustav.

Elgondolkodtunk mindannyian.

– Azt majd a győztes eldönti – mondtam végül.

Hát, elindult a vetélkedés.

Elsőnek Tom adta be a derekát, másodszorra Gustav.

Billel egymás mellett ültünk, és néztünk egy horror filmet.

Ezután biztos én nyerek, mert nem merek elaludni.

Olyan véres, gyilkos jelenetek voltak benne. Fúj!

Pár percre lehunytam a szemem, de ekkor gyilkos képsorok jelentek meg előttem. Rögtön fölébredtem.

– Jaj, ne! Már azt hittem, hogy győztem – mondta Bill keseregve.

Már ő is nagyon álmos volt, akárcsak én.

– Nem adom olyan könnyen! – válaszoltam álmosan.

Továbbnéztünk valami buta sorozatot, úgy hajnali három körül járt az idő.

Egyszer csak Bill az ölembe dőlt. Elaludt.

Én nyertem! A film megtette a hatását!

Felkeltettem, hogy közöljem vele a vereségét.

–M-mi történt? – kérdezte ijedten.

– Elnyomott az álom, kicsi Bill – nevettem el magam halkan, nehogy felébresszem a többieket.

– A francba! – morogta halkan.

– Mindegy, de én most megyek és alszok! – mondtam, és elindultam felfelé az emeletre.

Alig értem el az ágyat, máris sikeresen bealudtam.

Hát ez is egy jó hajnal volt. Reggel telefoncsörgésre ébredtem.

As we all know and celebrated Lou Dobbs has resigned from CNN. This is a victory for the Latino community in many ways. A nation of people has spoken with voices so loud there was not much of a choice. But Latinos, this fight is not over and much work has to be done to correct the wrongs of those who use their power and fortune for the sake of hatred towards Latinos, Africans, Asians, any group considered “minority” in America. Let me be clear to groups such as FAIR (Federation for American Immigration reform) and The Minutemen Civil Defense Corps. The reason for wanting Lou Dobbs out is not because he was against illegal immigration, but his moronic views on the Latino community as a whole. There is no justification for reporting invalid facts on air, later to be found proven wrong, and never give a sincere apology to the Latino community. No problem Dobbs, we will take your resignation instead.

Within the last few days my brain has been on overload taking in information from every side of different arguments. I was reading a few blogs and came across one, blew my mind away. It is amazing how many claim to be non-violent and pro this and pro that but all I see is pro-hate. Those words are used to replace the common words we all know and have spoken against. There is a question that wonders my mind so. How can an “expert” writer fault groups such as The National Council of La Raza and the Sothern Poverty Law Center as provokers of violence when FAIR has singled out the Latino community as criminals, disease carriers and have hired many anti-Latino activists. Again, let me be clear, I am not against anyone who is against illegal immigration but when groups such as FAIR “campaign” against immigration legal and/or illegal, it makes the mind think what is the real agenda behind FAIR’s “campaign.”

The agenda behind any one person or group of persons lobbying against a single group of individuals, in this case, is fear. Fear of the growing population of Latinos in America, 46.9 million according to the Census Bureau on July 1st 2008. Fear that many are blending our culture with American culture. Fear of the Latino economical market of growth in the billions predicted to see trillions according to, HispanTelligence, “The U.S. Hispanic Economy in Transition.” Tamara Monosoff , (hats off to you Tamara),stated in her article “Embrace the Hispanic Market,””If there is any word that describes the Hispanic market in the U.S. it is “growth”.” We have the opportunities, finances, the power as a collective to protest such groups from targeting us and have them banned from any influence in congress. We are not powerless, we are not alone and most importantly we are not leaving. So I say to those who concoct lies for example, Lou Dobbs, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Krikorian, and the many others who follow them to take a good look at the future. It is not the Latino community that is destroying the economy. It is people like you who run around the capital lobbying and manipulating congress to work on reforming immigration for control over our people and our tax dollars. America will never “outgrow” immigration; it is a part of what makes this country so unique from the rest of the world.

I kväll kl 19:30 dam så jag längtar.

De blir jag , maken och sonen som ska se han. Vi knep ju bland de sista biljetterna och hamnade på balkongen. Så sätter de sen upp en extra föreställning på söndag.. Nåja man får ju se han han är bara så klockrent kanon. De finns ingen komiker tycker jag som går så över gränserna som han. Han skämtar om de som ingen annan vågar! Ja de ska bli skönt komma sig ut och tänka på något annat. Bara de är rena terapin!

LIA går kanon. Kanonhärligt ställe kanonhärliga personal. Men de som sagt höst och märkt så många mår dåligt. Men man blir så glad när de  kommer fram “Hej Sussi!” De några som inte tagit kontakt änu men vi får se innnan LIAN är över om de gör de.

De ju så med människor som mår dåligt de är vana sina rutiner och sitt folk som jobbar. Endel är känslig när de kommer in nya människor och rutiner bryts. Så de viktigt att man inte “rusar” in till dom och ska presentera sig. Utan jag har avvakta och en efter en har kommit nyfiket fram och hälsa på en och surra. De är underbara människor som samhället tyvärr glömmer bort. Vem som helst kan ju insjukan. De kan ligga latent och en dag så utlöser något detta.

För 20 år sen gjorde jag praktik på Psyk och där fanns en man som hade vart en av Sveriges bästa simmare på slutet av 70 talet. Men han insjuknade när han var 25 år. Där var de mest troligt stress och press som utlöste hans sjukdom. En annan man han visade album han hade vart fotomodell och rest värden över. Men tyvärr som de var i den branschen då på 70 talet  (Ni minns väl Twiggy) Droger. Han hade drogat och hamnade i en psykos han inte tog sig ur. Där fanns då även två mödrar som fått förlossningspsykos de aldrig kom ur.

Idag är de ju tur att just förlossningsdepression och psykos får man ju hjälp med bara de upptäcks i tid. Något som är vanligt men tyvärr sällan talas om! Jag känner ett par st som har fått både psykos och mildare depressioner. Så de inte alls ovanligt bara de att de inte pratas om de. De de som är hemskt idag att du ska helst åka hem från bb 8 timmar efter förlossningen. Visst de var Pain in as förr att vara 1 v efter att man fick barn men då hant de både som om de felar på barnet och förhoppningsvit om de fela på mamman med. Fast idag vet man mer om förlossningspsykoser och depressioner.

Ja då slank vi in på en annan bana 20 år tillbaka..Jag är ju expert på att inte hålla mig på en bana utan hoppa och fara.

Ja.. var var jag ..*Plockar upp garnnystan*

Ja LIAN. Hade den vart i Luleå hade jag tjata mig blå för att få ett vikariat där. Men de ju de att de är trots allt över 4 mil. Jag har vart så smärtpåverkad att när jag kom i torsdags hade jag ont i mina käkar

de går bra där. Man rör sig ju och sitter och står och går. Så de inte mycket belastning fysiskt. Så jag tro de som utlöser smärtan är denna j***bilresa.

Eller så är de att jag gör 8 timmars dagar och min kropp inte pallar med de trots de inte är tungt. Men de vill jag ju inte de ska vara. I Onsdags när jag körde hem satt jag med tårarna brännandes bakom ögonlocken. Jag var så ledsen och arg över att vara smärtpåverakad.

Tanken hann “Kommer jag att klara denna utbildning” Men sen slog jag bort den och slängde den i diket med”Ja bita i hop den dagen du börjar jobba är de ju inte säkert de blir 100%.

Varför jag inte kan sätta fingret på exat vad som utlöser mina smärtor är där jag har så kul där borta. När jag är i gång så lägger jag smärtan åt sidan. Vet inte hur jag ska förklara. Jag är ständigt smärtpåverkad mer eller mindre men jag kan “koppla” bort de i bland då jag inte har tid att känna efter. “Think Outside the box” kallas de. De samma han Jisses namn tack?? Amerikanska mannen som är motsvarigheten till Oprha han som har MS. Han har haft en egen talk show i 17 år men la ner den nu pg sin sjukdom. När han berätta om sitt sätt att hanter smärta. Han lever 24 timmar med svåra smärtor så kände jag ahh..De ju samma metod jag har lärt mig!

Problemet är ju att smärtan blir ju mer och mer man måste ju bryta tillslut med Pain killer när inte något annat räcker till.

Jag använder både bälte och handledskydd (Handledskydd vid behov så de itne ska behöva frågar hela tiden varför jag har dessa alltså de boende)

Allt går bara man vill. Men nu måste jag hitta en stretegi där smärtan och jag kan komma överens om en Deel. Jag vet nu att 4 dagar på rad går inte. Helst två sen ledig en max tre där går gränsen. Ska även kolla upp boende där borta. De går nog lösa på nått sätt. Just nu har de vart  LIA, sova äta. Social har inte existera på min planet eftersom kroppen mot slutet av dagen börja påminna mig om varför jag vart sjukskriven.

Nu vart de allt möjligt här får skriva mer sen om  LIA när jag är varm i kläderna.

Hur som helst i kväll är de Magnus Betnér . De kallar jag Balsam för själen!!!

joo.. Twiggy för de yngre. De var en känd fotomodell på 70 talet som vart Icon för kommande modeller. De var när folk såg henne de började med bantningspillerna som innehöll amfetamin!

Är min “Vän” nu. som tur ska jag till Tomas i Piteå i morgon och få mina injektioner! Tre dagar är max jag klara gå i rad känenr jag nu. I morgon är dag fyra har LIA 7-12:30. Fan så arg jag blir på kroppen men jag ska se om vi kan lösa på de sätt detta problem med. Nästa vecka jobbar jag bara två dagar i rad. Sen ledig. Ska de om de fungerar annar blir de söka boende om de kan hjälpa.

Nåja en sak i taget! I morgon Tandläkarbedövning wiiiiiiii………..

Korta uppdateringar är inte mer ork än LIa/äta/sova..Men på bena snart igen

De skämtas ju ofta om att man inte kan skilja på en “mentalpatient” och de som jobbar. Finns en uppsjö av historier man hört vissa lite sanning andra Urban Legend. (Ordet mentalpatient används nog inte i dagsläget jag tycker de ordet är så “hårt” Jag föredra kalla dem för Boende där jag jobbar nu)

Idag fick jag den upplevelsen. De kom in en person i personallägenheten och jag vart så ställd när han hälsa på mig att jag visste inte om de var någon av personerna som bodde i huset eller om de var en som jobba..

De tog mig ca 5 minuter att lista ut att han jobba på bygget hahah.. Ja de var tur man inte fråga han var han bodde…

Nåja mer sen när jag har tid..nu är de LIA /Äta/Sova..

I kväll var de med dimma och mörkt ute så jag haka på en Lastbil igen som skulle till Luleå..De skönt ha en framför sig så man hittar hem… De hemakt när de så mörkt att man inte vet var man är! Eller knappt ser vägen pga att vägen “suger” upp ljuset!

Skönt är att jag får skriva eget schema så jag kan gå på mina behandlingar i Piteå och veckoträff hos sjukgymnasten. Enda lidande blir min träning. Men de huvudsaken jag inte gör så många dagar i rad så de ser ut som jag ev slipper skaffa boande..Peppar peppar..

Här sitter jag och packar porslin i 10 nummer av Dagens Media. Efter tre tallrikar var jag kolsvart om händerna. Kvalitetspapper i all ära, men jag blir svart om händerna bara jag tittar på tidningen. vad är grejen med allt överflöd av trycksvärta Dagens Media? Och pappret räcker inte ens runt mina tallrikar helt. Näe, det kanske mest är kvällspressen som lämpar sig till flyttpackning dessutom sitter deras trycksvärta liksom mer kvar på pappret.
Men med Dagens media som porslinsdämpare hinner man både läsa om något vettigt samtidigt som man packar.

Jag är inne på åttonde flyttlådan nu, tredje bokhyllan och enda väskan med skor. Om jag var
läsare och läste det här så skulle jag tro att “Den här tjejen är färdigpackad” för det kan man ju lätt tro. Men nej, vid varje flytt blir jag förvånad över hur stor plats allt tar även om jag rensat och slängt allt  jag kan. Nu senast gjorde jag mig av med 9år gamla papper som jag tidigare tydligen trott att jag skulle få  nytta av.

Om 10 dagar flyttar jag från Malmö tillbaka till Karlstad där jag förra veckan fick tag på ett
förstahandskontrakt. En etta på 43kvm i ett trähus på Strand i Karlstad. och jag känner mig väldigt nöjd och en smula förvånad över att jag alltid “lyckas med sådana konststycken” som fröken Lundell uttryckte sig.
Det ska bli fruktansvärt gôtt att komma tillbaka och nu tänker jag inte flytta på flera år.

Det är 9 dagar kvar i skolan och sen är det en December i Värmland i lugn och ro innan min andra och sista LiA börjar på Projecta och Värmlandsteatern. Sista dagen i skolan är även dagen för presentation av marknadsplanen 2011 som vi jobbat med i sju veckor för Tourism in Skåne. och om 11 dagar har En Julsaga premiär för fjärde gången på Värmlandsteatern. Det ska bli spännande att se julkalendrarna vi i MF-gruppen fixat i 70×100 måttet.

Beginning her entertainment career as an actress, she appeared in films such as Selena, Mi Familia, and Losin’ It which starred a young Tom Cruise. On television she appeared in the original pilot for Beverly Hills 90210, Saved by the Bell, The Alamo: 13 Days to Glory, and PBS’ La Carpa among others.

In 1992 Bel Hernandez co-founded Latin Heat, the only English language entertainment trade publication focused on Latino Hollywood, serving as the publisher for over 15 years and now as an internet magazine www.latinheat.com.

In 1995 Ms. Hernandez also founded and served as the Executive Director of the Latino Entertainment Media Institute (LEMI), a non-profit organization which produced an entertainment industry conference focused on providing educational seminars, networking opportunities and resources to up and coming filmmakers and on-camera talent and produced an awards show honoring such luminaries as Gregory Nava (Selena), Rita Moreno, Francis Ford Coppola (for his executive producing Mi Familia/My Family), producers Jeff Valdez, Moctezuma Esparza and Dennis Leoni.

As an invited public speaker, Ms. Hernandez travels across the country speaking on the topic of Latinos in the entertainment industry. Ms. Hernandez recently completed a six year term as a Board member of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Awards, the last year, serving as the first Latina Chair in the award’s 68 years in existence.

She is currently working on publishing, along with 7 other Latina women, a book entitled “How to Say I Love My Life and Mean it!, which was recently staged as a theatrical production and won the prestigious Imagen Award this past August.

Bel Hernandez is currently executive producing, and serves as a co-host for Let’s Talk! an internet talk show featuring four dynamic Latinas with a unique perspective on culturally relevant topics with universal appeal.

On Friday, I drove an hour south to Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, picked up my friend Shannon, and together we drove the half hour or so west to the coast.

I love the ocean, and living so close to the Pacific, it is odd that I spend more time on Atlantic ocean beaches each year for work than I do on our own coast for enjoyment.

Note to self: get to the beach more often.

The salty smell of the air, and something more deep yet subtle, the powerful smell of the ocean itself with the water, fish and plant life mixed into a living and dying smell, it always gets to me. I connect with the unseen, but very felt, energy of the ocean…and I get hungry.

Both Shannon and I were hungry, and we turned north at the coast and shortly pulled into Lucas Wharf. Lucas Wharf features a restaurant, an island themed deli, and fresh fish cut up and sold right off boats.

I wanted a crab sandwich, and the restaurant’s menu didn’t offer one so we went to the island deli where years before I bought delicious dungeness crab sandwiches, sliced sourdough bread brimming barely containing a thousand island dressing like cocktail sauced bounty of sweetly delicious fresh dungeness (the best) crab.

The island deli was new to me, replacing the deli that had made the delicious crab sandwich previously, but it too offered a crab sandwich, so I was in.

Shannon ordered shrimp and chips, I ordered the crab sandwich, and we picked up two bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale to wash it all down with.

While waiting for our food, I stepped outside out of habit. Although I haven’t had a cigarette this year, I still have the habit of going outside while waiting for something. Instead of smoking, I breathed in the rich moist air. The smell of fresh fish for sale made me take a small walk to look at the fish. I thought about how nice it would be to cook some of the great looking fish being offered.

Back inside, our food came. The fare was rather pedestrian. The food tasted good, but wasn’t anything remarkably special; Shannon’s shrimp and chips was just that, shrimp and chips. My crab sandwich was nothing like I had in mind when I ordered it, instead of delicious sweet fresh crab between slices of tasty bread, I got what looked like a “crabby patty” cooked by Spongebob Squarepants, a fried crab cake served on a bun, burger like. Honestly, it was disappointing.

Our deli server brought a sauce that was made in house, and recommended that I try it on my burger. A passion-fruit and chili blend, sweet and hot, textured and layered, it was okay on the crab burger, but brought to mind many possible better pairings.

Shannon had recently said that she would like me to cook a meal for her. Earlier in the week, another friend, Bill, had taken Shannon, Linda and me to dinner in Windsor. I asked Shannon if she would like me to cook dinner at Linda’s house, where Shannon is staying, and if she thought Bill and Linda could join us. With a couple of phone calls, Shannon had everything set up.

After lunch, Shannon and I went outside to look at the fish. I was torn between some beautiful Copper River salmon from Alaska  (I last tasted Copper River Salmon at the Original Fish Market when working the Three River Arts Festival in Pittsburgh, and it was flavorfully delicious) and some ling cod fresh off local boats.

I really wanted the salmon, it was what I had in mind, but local and fresh off the boat won out, and we picked up some beautiful ling cod fillets.

Before leaving Lucas Wharf, I also left with the most important purchase of the day, an 8 ounce jar of the passion-fruit chili sauce.

Shannon and I went up the road, found an uncrowded beach, and took a nice walk. The walk might have been longer, but I was anxious to pick up some groceries and get back to Santa Rosa to start prepping dinner.

We stopped at the Fir Crest market in Sebastopol for additional provisions. In short order, we had assembled carrots, two Mexican papayas, green onions, purple cabbage, grape tomatoes, a bottle of quality Teriyaki, and a bottle of 2007 Rick Sayre Rodney Strong Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.

Not much later, I was in Linda’s kitchen and the prep began. I intended to make a Thai style Som Tom shredded green papaya salad. The inspiration was the sauce of passion-fruit and chili from the island deli on the coast. I wanted to plate the salad and rest a piece of Teriyaki marinated salmon on top. Lots of flavors on one plate, all playing beautifully with the dusty rose petal and warm cherry notes of the Pinot.

That was the meal I put together in my head at Lucas Wharf tasting the sauce and smelling the fish. I made some changes, but here’s what I did – so you can do it too.

First, pour one bottle of quality Teriyaki over 4 fresh ling cod fillets as a marinade, put in fridge.

Open the Pinot, pour a glass to swirl and smell, noticing changes as it opens up. Pouring a glass also increases the surface area for the wine to touch air, allowing breathing to hasten. Bring on the nose and mouth treats.

I peeled the papaya, scooped the seeds out, and grated the papaya into a large bowl. The Mexican papayas were not green, were very ripe, and did not grate so much as smoosh wetly through the grater. After smoosh grating the papaya into the bowl, I pressed the moisture out of the papaya by hand and poured the liquid out. To the drier papaya, I added two grated carrots, 3 thinly sliced green onions, and 1/2 of a cored and super thin sliced purple cabbage. I added about 3 ounces of the magic passion-fruit chili sauce, some salt and pepper, and tossed it all to mix and dress the slaw type salad. I moistened a towel, covered the salad, and put it into the fridge to sit and allow the flavors to marry.

Prep done, Linda arrived home and quickly the Pinot I intended for dinner was in three glasses. Bill arrived and the Pinot was in four glasses. The Frasier in me regretted that the wine was going to be gone before dinner, the regular guy in me was thrilled that I was with 3 friends and that the wine was being enjoyed. Some say red with meat, white with fish; I say any wine goes best with friends. Let go, and things work out fine. Letting go means that the Rodney Strong Chardonnay Bill brought was going to be served with dinner and was going to be great.

Linda and Bill were hungry after working all day, so we fired up the oven, and put aluminum foil over a broiling pan (to make clean up easier). With the oven at 350 degrees, we placed the fish skin side down on the foil and baked it for 25 minutes.

Just before the fish was finished, I gave the salad a final toss, then plated the salad evenly on four dishes. I sliced some grape tomatoes in half and used them as edible decoration around the outside of the salad. Then I rested the baked Teriyaki ling cod atop the bed of thai style salad.

Dinner was great. Great food, great wine, great friends. We decided to head over to John Barleycorn’s for dessert, and to see another high school friend who was working as a bartender. We saw our friend John, but there was no chocolate mousse at Barleycorn’s.

Note to self: The Villa will make chocolate mousse even if out. Never ending chocolate mousse.

Saturday morning, I awoke at 3:00 AM to head out and set up my booth so I could sell my handcrafted art topped wine bottle stoppers at the Sunnyvale Art and Wine Festival.

I worked all day without a break and was quite hungry when I was allowed to close up at 6:00 PM.

I had an invitation to a graduation party for the daughter of another friend Rachelle. I had known Rachelle since the 4th grade when we attended Mark West Elementary school in northern Santa Rosa. In addition to Rachelle, I was going to get to see another High School friend, Nancy. Nancy is now the tasting room manager for Schmidt Family Vineyards in Oregon.

Before going to the party and seeing my friends, I needed to get some food, check into my surprisingly wonderful hotel, get a shower and change into a suit. Food was the biggest priority.

Near the Domain hotel, I found a Korean restaurant, pulled in and ordered pork bulgogi to-go. I spent a year in Korea, love Korean food, and knew that my hunger would be sated. I would check in to my room and eat dinner.

Jang Tu restaurant, un-fancy on the outside, tucked into a strip mall, has food was beyond adequate. The pork bulgogi, marinated in soy and sesame, and barbecued with garlic, onions and green peppers, was the best I’ve ever had, the absolutely most delicious. The rice that came with it tasted good. I’ve not smoked in over 5 months, but I was surprised to find the rice delicious. I also enjoyed the accompanying kim chi greatly. Chop-sticking a bit of pork, and rice, and cabbage into my mouth, the flavors all delicious, somehow the sum greater than it’s parts, I achieved a near nirvana experience.

The food was so absolutely delicious that i almost went back and ordered another meal, but I wanted to see my fiends more. Barely. That was some fine Korean grub.

The graduation party was an amazing event. My friends both look beautiful, as did their daughters. Rachelle’s daughter Courtney, the graduate, was lovely, amazingly possed, yet unspoiled. Nancy’s daughter will not graduate from high school for about 15 years, Lia is just 3 years old. Lia is amazingly cute. I am envious of Nancy having a child small enough to hold; my own 12 year old son Charlie is taller than I am, we don’t cuddle much anymore.

I have a 2007 Applegate Valley Merlot from Nancy’s Vineyard that I look forward to sharing with some of Nancy’s other friends. I’ll have to build a dinner around it.

On Sunday, back working the Art and wine Festival on Murphy Street in Sunnyvale, I was visited by Chris Cesano and Jim Cesano. Chris is roughly my age, Jim is roughly the age my father would be. We must be related somewhere generations back, we must have common ancestors from Italy; although we don’t know how we are related, it is comforting to meet others with my last name. I am the oldest Cesano in my branch of our family. To keep this entry rolling along food-wise, Chris has promised me his grandmother’s recipes foe gnocchi and ravioli.

It is Monday, I am finally back at home and looking forward to seeing my son when he gets home from school.

All is right in my world.

Plans for my week:

Create an application video for my dream job,

Attend my son’s promotion from elementary to middle school on Wednesday,

Go to the island deli at Lucas Wharf on Friday.

That sauce has haunted me all weekend. I want to make another Som Tom salad. I want to toss chicken wings in it (it would be similar but superior to Buffalo Wild Wing’s Asian Zing sauce). I want it on eggs. I must buy more and reverse engineer the recipe.
