“with God all things are possible”  Matthew 19:26

We all have friends who are facing huge challenges.  (The friend may even be yourself .)  It is good to recall that with God all things are possible.

An example of this is our “little fighter” grand-nephew who continues to progress.  They were able to take this little one off the ventilator recently.  He’s in the process of learning how to accept his food and process it to nourish his body.  You may recall that early in the pregnancy his parents were only given a 50% chance of survival. 

NOTHING is impossible with God.

“The Lord lives!  Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!”2 Samuel 22:47

As my grand-nephew continues his miraculous journey to being able to lead a normal little guy life, I am especially thankful for the “ROCK” a relationship with the Lord provides. 

Witnessing his parents as they juggle the time and distance involved with parenting two little fellows is a testimony to the extra grace God provides during times of trial.  Reading their thankfulness and praise on the out-of-state  hospital blog even as they ache watching their newborn struggle is an even greater witness. 

What an awesome ROCK we have in a Heavenly Father who not only provides medical knowledge to overcome unbelieveable health issues, but this ROCK provides the courage and strength to continue with hope and praise prevailing!

 ”I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.”  Psalm 69:30 

How refreshing it is to stop and be thankful!  One of my Mamma’s favorite hymns was “Count Your Blessings”.  Remember it mentioned “name them one by one”? 

My family is high on my list of thankfulness.  Especially for our “little fighter” who continues to progress into a healthy little guy.  You prayer warriors might specifically request his little organs begin to function normally beginning with his tummy accepting and processing nourishment. 

You who view this blog, I am thankful for you.  At this moment I pray the Lord’s special blessing on you today.  Thank you for taking the time to check us out!

Just heard from my nephew in Cincinnati letting us know that his precious baby boy did well in surgery.  The doctors were able to put his organs in the correct places.  My nephew and his wife were given only a 50% chance of their baby’s survival during her early months of pregancy.

This whole story is a true miracle of what God can do through modern medicine using doctors and parents willing to risk and step out in faith.  The Bible verse that has constantly played in my head these last three week’s is : 

“NOTHING is impossible with God”  Luke 1:37

We appreciate your prayer support for this special little guy.

Todays testing indicates that surgery will be on Tuesday, giving more time for the heart to gain strength.  His parents and the medical folks do not see this as a setback.  Family members are  excited that this devoted Mom has been discharged and they will all spend the night away from the hospital, near enough if needed but confident of the medical staff’s abilities.  We continue to ask for prayers for the Lord’s will in this precious life.

“Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”                Hebrews 12:28

Since I began this blogging idea the best graphics guy in the world got going…. I’ve realized how empty my life would be without “Thankful Thursday”.  (Of course, you do know the greatest graphics guy in the world is our son-in-law… you can find him at www.dcglink.com ) 

First off, I am THANKFUL that he insisted his mother-in-law (born pre-digital age) learn a new task.  Junkin Judy blog is an enjoyable  blessing for this pre-digital lady.

THANKFULNESS trumps negativeness.  THANKFULNESS lifts my shoulders and gives me energy to move forward on a tired day. 

Today, September 3, at the top of my THANKFUL list is my brother’s family.  If you are a believer, we could use some more prayer power.  Our “little fighter”  had tests yesterday that revealed a heart not quite as strong as the specialist doctor would like.  Pray with a multitude of us  that his little heart with respond to the medication to enable surgery tomorrow.  

Our miracle baby aka “little fighter”  is in need of the repair operation in order to breathe on his own.  Repair surgery will involve moving his intestines, liver, spleen and a portion of his kidney into their proper places within the diaphragm and away from constricting his lungs. 

Back to my THURSDAY THANKFUL list, that Ohio specialist, Children’s Hospital and dedicated nurses who know life begins at conception are at the top of my THANKFUL list. 

Grandparents who reared children to know the Lord and these children are now rearing children to know and trust the Lord are at the top of my THANKFUL list.

Parents who do all within their power to aid their children to have life and the opportunity to trust Jesus are at the top of my THANKFUL list.

Little Fighter, version 2 2.0 – download little fighter here

Little Fighter 2 (LF2) is a popular freeware fighting game for Windows. LF2 was created by Marti Wong and Starsky Wong in 1999. Its popularity has been substantial thanks to its simple yet addictive gameplay, its great replay ability and free at the point of use availability.

The game can have up to 4 human players on one computer and 8 characters in network play at one time. Game modes include VS mode, Stage mode (where 1 or more players move through the environment killing increasing numbers and difficulties of enemies), Championship mode and Battle mode (involving mass armies led by a player).

Version 2.0 adds a Survival Stage, Gameplay Recording feature, and background musics.

We all find ourselves in that situation. Only one keyboard, and yet more than 10 fingers. What a predicament. When chilling with a few friends, you may well want to play a game together. Together, mind you, not taking turns. Taking turns is for people on PBS kid’s shows. This is America, we’re affluent enough to be able to play at the same time! And yet, with the exception of a few Nintendo console, you may find your local cooperative play options lacking. (With few exceptions, like that kick-ass Castle Crashers of course…)

Although local multiplayer games on the PC are a dying art, there a still a few gems that can be found out there, for free. These are the 5 that I had the most fun maxing out my keyboard’s simultaneous-key press limit on with buddy’s when we had time to spare.

05. Battle Painters by JJSoft – DOWNLOAD

Here’s one you can play with your little sister and have a great love-return quotient. The concept is simple, you’ve got a set amount of time to paint more canvas than the other 1-4 players. The brush goes automatically, you just turn it left or right. Simple, but fast paced, competitive, and oddly tactical. There’s some sweet power-ups too.

04. Little Fighter 2 by Marti Wong & Starski Wong – DOWNLOAD

This is a very well put-together sidescroller that is still being updated. Lots of items, characters, and polished combat for 1-4 players. You can battle it out versus style or go on vs CPU campaign.

03. Super Mario War by 72DPIArmy – DOWNLOAD

This is what you get when you splice Super Mario Bros. with Super Smash Bros. Awesome little sprites and surprisingly smooth deathmatch game play make this a quick and casual bout you can play anytime, anywhere. Multiple levels, tons of popular sprited characters, and multiple game modes for 2-4 players. It’s also open source, and features plenty of user-made content.

02. Jetmen Revival by Crew42 – DOWNLOAD

The combat ready capture the flag version of Lunar Lander, Jetmen Revival provides some hardcore lasting competition for 2 players. The particle graphics fit the game like a glove and the gameplay coupled with a slew unlockable weapons and awards make this one last. It’s easy to create user-made ships, flags, and levels. The dev team is working on an online version, although it’s release may not come to light any time soon.

01. TRIUMPH! WAR 2099 by Darksun Games – DOWNLOAD

Considering how small everything is, TRIUMPH is able to simulate a battle of epic proportions. 1-4 friends can control the most adorably vicious squad commanders you’ve ever seen on a campaign to destroy an invasion of alien bugs. This addicting top-down shooter has a very simple yet functional line up of tactical squad control options with which to achieve your goal alongside your CPU army and friends. Each level has a distinct style and mission to accomplish as you very satisfingly slaughter waves of alien bugs with multiple weapons and power-ups.

Little Fighter

In this game, you run with a bunch of kids who just want to fight. You choose to be one of 11 characters, each character has 3 special moves and then you participate in an all out fight. In the game, you can play one on one, team matches or elimination tournament matches. There is up to 8 fighters simultaneously on screen controlled by up to 3 human players. The game modes include the usual championships as well as fighters divided into 2,3 or 4 groups.
