Radio Magic Fm Live – Soft Music !

Hello FMF Family. Here’s some treats from London once again. This time it’s a good one. In fact, I wasn’t even aware it was going to happen, and I’m glad it worked out the way it did. While we were digging, Andy mentioned he had a gig at Colourful Radio. It’s been a while since I had my radio show, and honestly I do miss it. So, that being said, we headed over to Vauxhall in South London to the Studio. We went a bit early, because there was a killer Reggae show on before, Papa Face was filling in for the normal DJ who was out. He also had Soul Warrior (Big Youth’s cousin!) in the studio as well. They were playing the best Reggae, so it was an honor just to sit in on the show, and take in some of these great Reggae tunes. By the time Andy started his show, I was flying high, and in the second hour of Boogie, Northern Soul, Jump Blues and Reggae, we both played a bunch of the records we had dug up that day. Below is the MP3 version of the show.

You can hear Andy Smith every Wednesday Night at 12 Midnight (that’s 7PM for you EST people here in the US) on Colourful Radio or DAB in London , and look for the live streaming link or link to Andy’s page. This is highly recommended by FMF, and not because the guy is my friend. There are some great shows with music you don’t hear, and Wednesday nights you get a double shot! Hey everyone. Just letting you know that there has been a slight reshuffle of the NSB Radio schedule. Instead of being on air every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, Hubie Sounds has been switched to every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.

So that means Hubie Sounds won’t be on air tomorrow night, but instead will next be airing a week on Tuesday (24th November). We’ll still be on at 9pm UK time though

I just edited the Timmy LIVE! announcement post to show that Elvis Presley is our Featured Artist this weekend! I’m also very excited to announce that starting that night, we will be adding Elvis Presley to our normal playlist rotations! I’ve rocked back and forth on this decision for a long while. I’ve tried to keep most of the music focused on the 80’s through today, but have added in some really essential classics that were big monster hits in the 60’s and 70’s recently.

I have always been a huge fan of Elvis and listen to his stuff pretty often. I think using Timmy LIVE! as an avenue to introduce him into our playlist is a great way to bring his huge hits into our stable of great music.

After two and a half very fun years I’ve decided it’s time for Hubie Sounds to move on from Brap FM. I definitely believe I am leaving the station at a good time, there seems to be loads of new talent signing up all the time and the standard of talent has never been as impressively high as it is right now, so I doubt Brap will miss me too much!

All day, we’ll be playing fun music. At 6pm(MDT), the party gets started with an hour of spooky sound effects to provide the right atmosphere. Then, at 7pm, we go LIVE on KXRT with your phone calls and emails! We’ll share your favorite stories, the best/worst costumes, tips and tricks for trick or treating and so much more! At 8pm, we’ll replay, in it’s entirety, the original 1938 broadcast of Orson Wells’ Mercury Theatre presentation of The War of the Worlds!

For the rest of the night, we’ll take more calls, play more fun music and activities. I hope you’ll have us up loud all Halloween Day. It will be the biggest and best BHB, ever.
