Sono solita descrivere nei dettagli i live che mi trovo a seguire e documentare di Psico e Ortiz.
Questo però, è nato, proseguito e concluso con non poche polemiche che si sono riflettute INEVITABILMENTE sullo spettacolo.
Ho pensato molto a come impostare questo articolo e, conoscendomi, preferisco documentarlo con qualche foto che sono stata chiamata a fare senza pronunciarmi oltre.
Una cosa però va detta… Turi è veramente un grande Artista. Onore al merito.

It was a fun house party on November 21st.
More like a house dance party with three different DJs.
The show was hosted by Place Records and held at 443 Kent St.

Decided to go to this show/party while still being sick. Hoping I didn’t make anyone I know very sick.
Despite being sick, totally enjoyed and had a fun time.
People who attended had a great time.
pH started off the set and it was a fun set.
Karn played next and he was like wow. Surprised he played a remix of Think About Life’s Sweet Sixteen.
I didn’t stay long for Cadence Weapon’s set but his set sounded amazing, he started off with Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Heads Will Roll.
He mostly did a DJ set so I don’t think he was doing any rapping for this show.
Stayed there for about 30 minutes. He also played Roy Orbinson’s “You Got It”.
Overall it was a crazy house party/show.

Presonus Capture

I’ve just used Presonus StudioLive mixer for the first time in mini-concert. And I also wanted to record everything from the mixer into computer via firewire. So I use Presonus Capture, a recording software which is a good companion for StudioLive.

Eine gefühlte Ewigkeit ist mein letzter Blogeintrag her, und selbst dieses Konzert hier war genau vor einer Woche. Doch aktuell fehlt mir Zeit und Kraft um hier regelmäßig zu texten. Daher ganz schön verspätet, und in kürzerer Form: Mein Review zum Muse-Konzert in der Kölnarena am vergangenen Montag.

2001 hatte ich erstmals eine Muse-CD in der Hand. “Origin of Symmetry“. Es war Liebe auf den ersten Ton (von New Born). [Übrigens noch heute meine Lieblingsplatte von Muse - und auch sonst eine der besten überhaupt!]

2006, Düsseldorf: Mein erstes Live-Konzert von Muse. 2 Stunden Live-Perfomance der absoluten Extraklasse. 2 Stunden pures Adrenalin in der Philipshalle. Sprachlos, atemlos, perfekt.

Da war es schon selbstverständlich, dass ich auch bei der aktuellen “Resistance-Tour” mit dabei war. Mittlerweile ist die Band bekannter, die Hallen größer. Aber von Widerstand kaum eine Spur, spätestens nach der eher unerwartet guten Vorband freute man sich auf die 3 Jungs von der Insel, und die legten dann auch mal direkt ordentlich los. Ich lasse das Video sprechen, für die riesen LED-Türme kann man fast keine Worte finden, das musste man schon gesehen haben:

Optisch ging das dann nahezu so weiter. Videos auf den gigantischen Türmen, Laser und vieles mehr sorgten mal wieder für einen Augenschmaus der besonderen Art und eine auch diesmal wieder atemberaubende Show. Teilweise nah dran am Overkill. Musekonzerte haben was von einer riesigen inszenierten Oper.

Musikalisch bieten die 3 Jungs das, was man von ihnen nach zahlreichen “Best Liveact”-Preisen erwartet:  Spitzenklasse durchweg. Gespielt wird einiges von der durchaus respektablen neuen Platte, vermischt mit den Hits der bisherigen Alben von “Feeling good” (richtig klasse mit dem Flügel!)  bis “Starlight“.

Die Setlist war durchweg erfreulich, die neuen Songs live besser als erwartet und mit “Bliss” und “Take a Bow” fehlten wir mir nur 2 Stücke, die ich wirklich sehr gerne gehört hätte. Sonst war alles beim Alten: Keine Ansagen und knapp 1 3/4 Stunden volle Kraft voraus. Muse wie man sie kennt – und liebt.

Matthew Bellamy hatte zudem sichtlich Spaß beim Singen, Spielen, Spass machen und entertainen. Enttäuschenderweise spielte er an diesem Abend kaum selbst Piano, bis auf 2 Stücke. Das machte er dafür mit tollen Gitarren-Soli wieder wett. Vor allem die fast 10-minütige (!)  Live-Version von “Stockholm Syndrome” war unglaublich gut. Zwischendurch gabs ein tolles gemeinsames Drum – und Bass-solo von Dominic Howard und Christopher Wolstenhome.

Am Ende wars dann die Musik von Ennio Morricone, die als Intro für den letzten Akt herhielt: “Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod” auf Mundharmonika.

Fazit: Ein absolut großartiges Konzert – wiedermal. Auch wenn es nicht an das Düsseldorfer Konzert heranreicht, aber wenn ich ehrlich bin, lag das wohl eher nicht an Muse, sondern an der unglaublichen Stimmung damals in der Philipshalle. Muse ist und bleibt live eine wirklich tolle Band und ist jedem Rock-Fan zu empfehlen.

Nothing can deter you from feeling what you want to feel like. So if you feel down and out, try and feel awesome instead, and you’ll see the world turn around on your fingertips in a way of sorts.

I felt great. There’s nothing better than being on the road, and listening to your favourite music. And thinking about taking over your fears at the same time. Just do it. Do whatever you want to. Don’t let anything stop you. Release all inhibitions. It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel great, you’ll learn to make yourself feel great.

There’s nothing that you can’t do. Tell yourself that, drill it in. You’ve got one life, yes, it’s all about you.

I’ve learnt these things from someone. You can take it from here. And by telling you, it’s sinking into me too.

I Feel Awesome.

Just remember, you’re not doing anything for anyone except yourself. And when you do do it, there’s nothing that feels better than that.
