Image : http://www.flickr.com

From a public vote on what happens when we die

It can be often heard that only two things are death and taxes. I think that only the dead – as there are places on earth where people do not pay taxes … Or simply that there are people who do not pay taxes? However, there are ways in almost all … except death!

How regression past lives is a fundamental aspect of consciousness Engineering ™, I was curious to know how the idea has been popularthe general public. I decided to do research on the number of people who believe in reincarnation and survival after death. As I was leafing through this issue on the web, I found a 2003 Harris Poll on this question. I'll tell you the results within seconds.

First, I noticed that the samples concentrated on the Western world, that 75% of people surveyed said they were Christians. This told me that this is an investigation into the beliefs of Americans say. Who isend, and valid and interesting – but unfortunately, not a champion in the world.

I became curious about the possible results if the same poll was taken in China, India or Africa. This led me to another line of curiosity … some research and more. Would not it be interesting to see the same Harris poll taken in communities where religious preferences are more evenly distributed among the available choices?

Further research led me to request additional informationwere classified as religions, and this led me to a definition of "pagans," he said religion is not Christian, Jew or Muslim. Webster himself is synonymous with pagan pagan beliefs, which go on to describe how non-religious, ignorant and barbaric.

So we can assume from this that the contributors to the Webster Hindus and Buddhists are placed in the category of pagans, heathens, and non-religious, uneducated and barbaric? With the use of semantics, not surprising that we are prejudiced in the world? As our art and music reflect and predict the evolution of a culture, it is important to be aware that how we define and use words can strongly influence how we see the world.

Are you curious about the results of the Harris Poll? The survey of 2201 people found that 84% believe in survival of the soul after death, 89% women and 78% men, 86% of those withoutdegree and 78% of graduates of specialization.

27% believe in reincarnation, which were once another person. This includes 40% of people aged between 25 and 29 but only 14% of people aged over 65 years.

Most of the 84% who believe in the survival of the soul after death are optimists. Almost two thirds (63%), among which 75% of Christians, expect to go to heaven. Only 1% are planning to go to hell. Six percent expect to go to purgatory, while 11% expect to go somewhereand another 18% do not know.

So, back to our discussion on a "sure thing" – death, and our understanding of this possibility. When I grew up in the Middle West of America, it became clear that this was a topic that does not speak only with people – as if there was a kind of shame die.
I do not think that was what my parents wanted to teach me, but it was as if I was interpreting signals. Do not mention it, avoid it, is a sad subject, moveon.

Do not you find it curious that the only thing we are sure to experience – death – is the activity that we spend less time to prepare?

Maybe it was the taboo of death, which became my quest for knowledge on the subject. I then spent a good deal "of the past 20 years involved in the regression of past life and life between life experience to assemble a broader perspective on this issue.

Because the knowledge of death is soelusive, gives reason to believe in what feels right or to turn the decision of someone else. Since we know that our brains filter information through a series of cultural, ethnic, emotional and early childhood, religious, fear vs. desired path which may or may not lead to truth, how can we really find out – and our findings to be accurate?

A serious examination of the subject can be improved by exploring different ways of trying to remember the previous times thatexperienced the transition called death, and talk openly with others who are on the same search.

Awareness Engineering ™ uses contemporary psychological techniques, philosophy, and concepts of quantum reality with ancient disciplines together in a system designed to increase access to conscious reality. Regression into past lives and between life are part of this process. There are many products on the market that provide information and experiences, including those produced by thisauthor. Ultimately, the only way to really know the death and the afterlife is to have a personal experience. These time-honored techniques allow safe access to this knowledge today.

I woke this morning to the hard crunching of a biscuit near my head. When I looked over all I saw was legs and blue eyes as Belle did her job on the treat. Old Pepper was, of course, still in her lower perch on her corner bed, staring at me with the eyes of betrayal. She’s never been happy about The Baby and barely tolerates having her in the same room. Meanwhile The Baby keeps trying and with each rebuff, only tries harder…

Today will be quiet. We don’t celebrate Christmas but later will most likely visit with our neighbors and drop off a bottle of wine they can share with the family at their holiday meal. They’re old world Italian who have found value in home, children and grandchildren. And occasionally a neighbor. We speak over the fence, sometimes cut each others grass, and post-blizzards, during the cleanup, he usually keeps pushing his snow blower forward onto my sidewalks after his property is done. I wag my finger at him when he climbs up his roof to make a repair and he always waves a greeting to me in the morning when he drives off to work. Two decades ago, when we moved into the house next door, his daughter was our teen-aged babysitter. And now she has a family of her own.

Today is a Big Holiday – one that’s looked forward to when the turkey is finally done and the media starts screaming Black Friday. It’s a line – when crossed – becomes the entryway to the new year. The final push.

As we did when we moved here more than twenty years ago, we’ll make our holiday trek to Ben’s Deli for lunch with the other neighborhood mishpocheh* and then catch a movie. Although we don’t celebrate this holiday, it’s a day for all to gather, to slow down. And take notice.

Wishing all of you out there the blessings of all holidays – best of health and success to you, your families, and all that surround you.

I just found out about this interesting web series that David Lynch and his son Austin are currently working on called ‘Interview project’. It’s a 20,000 mile road trip done by a film crew over 70 days across the width of the United States and interviews were conducted with 121 people met along the way. The people just tell us their stories about their lives. The latest one is with Bob (the picture above links to the vid). A new one is posted every three days.

There’s lots that nubateurs like us can learn from these interviews in terms of the simplicity with which they have been filmed and produced. There’s something about doing so much with lighting, composition and music, but keeping that to a minimum because the main subject matter of the nub is the interviewee themself and what they have to say.

Christmas does not need any improvements. It is a common, ordinary experience that resists brilliant innovation. Just make some gingerbread persons and light three candles and sing softly in dim light about the poor man gathering winter fu-u-el and the radiant beams and the holly and the ivy, and you’ve got it. Too many people work too hard to make Christmas perfect, find the perfect gifts, get a turkey that reaches 100 percent of potential.

I woke up around 4 AM – an annoying habit but like most, hard to break. Usually I comfort myself with a bowl of cereal and some reading time. Except for the clink of my spoon against the bowl, no other sound could be heard. And the only light, other than this screen, was the occasional amber blinking from the plows going by.

The hysteria of the day before finally died down. With the forecast of a blizzard, the supermarkets had turned into something that looked like a run on the banks. Parking lots were not only filled, but the rows of backed up cars were frozen in place since no one could get in or out. And those that did find an opening came screaming thru like combat jets with appropriate looks of panic and horror. I even heard of fights in the aisles of the cashier lines of the local Waldbaum’s with displays crashing to the floor. From the looks of the full carts being wheeled out, the only items left on the shelves may have been some Cheez Whiz and stray cans of string beans.

It wasn’t snow that was coming. It was an invasion.

But by the early afternoon, we hadn’t even seen a flurry. The weather map said otherwise with a huge roiling green mass hovering over several states including my own. I predicted a bust and was hoping for it since the only Hanukkah party this year was scheduled for today – and I had been seriously latke deprived.

Then, around 5 PM, the flurries began. My wife took Belle out to see her first snowfall and then called me out to show me the near perfect flakes that rested on the glass table outside. It was cold enough, dry enough and the beginning of the fall was light enough that each puffed flake found its own uncrowded resting place. If you looked closely enough, you could see the fragile design, each point and pattern. Look too closely, and it melted back into the glass.

With night coming on, we switched on the outdoor lights, and watched the snow begin to pile, the individual flakes now massing together, the green of the winter grass covered by soft rolling drifts. The sun would be up in a few hours. But before the snow blowers wind up and rip thru the neighborhood, before the truck plows diesel their way down the streets, we’ll have that unique time of quiet and settle in for the view.

It looks as though Obama will get his Healthcare Reform Bill Passed, as The Democrats just secured their 60th Vote. But in Order to Secure the Healtcare Reform Bill, Obama made a Pact with the Devil, I mean PHARMA, which are the Pharmaceutical Companies. Obama promised not to Pass a Bill that would Make buying Drugs from other Countries like Canada and Mexico Legal. In return, PHARMA said they would help get the Healthcare Reform Bill Passed. Thanks Obama, and the Tens and maybe even the Hundreds of Thousands of US Citizens that WILL DIE, Thank You also. The Reason these Citizens will die is Because they cannot afford the Drugs they need to live because the Pharmaceutical Companies charge the Citizens of the UNITED STATES TOO MUCH MONEY!!! They have been dying, and will continue to Die, because of you!

The Drug Bill would have forced the Pharmaceutical Companies to Prescription Drugs at a Very Reduced Cost, so that The Citizens of The United States that need prescription drugs, would be able to afford them. But thanks to your deal with The Devil, The Citizens will not be able to afford drugs that keep them alive, and therefore they will Continue To Die!!!!!!!

Congratulations on Most Likely getting Your Healthcare Reform Bill Passed!!!

Hey Obama, I guess you don’t care about the Citizens, because the EXTREMELY HIGH COST of Drugs doesn’t affect your Family, including your Elderly Mother-in-Law, because you get Prescription Drugs for Free anyway. But how about all the People that need Prescription Drugs to Survive their illnesses? What about the People that have to Choose between Buying Prescription Drugs or Buying Food and Paying the Rent? What about them? Good Going, and Thanks for your Broken Promise of Lowering Drug Costs, and not letting the Pharmaceutical Drug Companies charge their High Prices, and not letting their Lobby Bully us around. Thanks for That!! Another BullShit Politician, and Nothing More!!!

Will the Sheeple Wake Up From their Comas Now!!!!! Probably Not!!

To me, to be an artist is to do something you love doing. Whether that be spreading a message, stirring emotions or just a hobby. Anyone can be an artist, and most people are, without even realising it.

Recently I watched a compelling documentary with stunning imagery and photography. The documentary is called Lives of the Artists and was created by Relentless (yes the energy drink). The documentary hit a nerve with me and made me realise what is important in life. And that is happiness. Do what you enjoy doing and you will be happy. Being stuck in a monotonous job working 9 till 5 is not my idea of happiness unless you are doing something you enjoy doing. The problem with today’s society is that people have to do something they do not enjoy in order to make money to support their family. Are people who do what they enjoy and not worry about money selfish? Only a few get the chance to actually enjoy their career AND support their family.

The people in this documentary are those few. Featuring a couple of surfers named Tom Lowe and Fergal Smith, a snowboarder named Xavier De Le Rue, and the UK Hardcore punk band Gallows. The documentary really opens your eyes to the world and to beauty, and makes you feel bad for not experiencing some of the worlds wonder.

Xavier De Le Rue: He throws himself off mountains

The surfers and the snowboarder are very similar as artists, because they are both doing what they love and that is it. Whereas the band Gallows are too doing what they love, except they also have a message.

And most people who listen to Gallows do not understand what they are about. I believe that Gallows message is that it doesnt matter how good you are at singing or playing an instrument, as long as you have ambition and aspirations you will make it in the field that you love. And Gallows are there to prove it. I don’t particularly like their music, it doesnt sound nice. Nice music is music like REM and Coldplay, which I do like, but it hasn’t got the same energy as Gallows. Gallows is aggressive, energetic and full of passion, as well as stirring emotions with the public, that is all that matters. I like to equate Gallows to the early punk band The Sex Pistols, because they were very similar with their message.

Here are some cool shots from the documentary, and the link for the documentary at the bottom of this post.

On a last note, I do think Gallows are reaching their end. As the frontman Frank Carter says in the documentary, he has said and done everything he set out to do, and doesnt get anything out of his music anymore. And when Frank leaves Gallows which I feel is inevitable, Gallows will die.

And here is that link, which I urge you to watch.

Islam greatly honors woman and elevates status whether she is a daughter, a sister, a wife or a mother. In the glittering Islamic history, many righteous Muslim women played outstanding roles in the life of the Ummah (the Muslim nation). No doubt, the Prophet’s wives, Mothers of the Believers, preceded others in this regard. They are the most elite and eligible. No wonder, they lived with the prophet (pbuh) and were brought up on following the Divine revelation. One feels that the best thing one can present to today Muslim women in the biography of mother of the Believers in order to discipline themselves under its shade, and derive provisions for the souls there from. This purified biography enlightens the hearts with faith. And connects them together by righteousness and unswerving belief. It makes a link between today Muslim women and the prophet’s wives who were honored by his company in his dwelling, traveling, and battles.

It is important to leave home because with one person doing the job of three people, office work is

It is important to leave home because with one person doing the job of three people, office work is being completed at home. No longer is the home a sanctuary of rest and relaxation. Home has become an extension of the office due to a multitude of technological leashes such as cell phones, e-mail, and fax machines. Of course those who work from home need to escape as well.

Stress is a key factor in the lives of many. Travel is relaxing. Experiencing something new clears the mind of clutter. Taking a walking tour or some other outdoor activity is good for the body. The benefits of travel can only be effective when ALL remnants of work are left behind. Your business will not collapse during the 1-2 days (more if necessary) of your vacation. Yes, the health benefits of a vacation can be achieved in just 1 or 2 days. Even as busy as everyone is 1 or 2 days can be found even in the most hectic lives.

How can travel be added to an already overflowing schedule? Schedule it. Make travel a part of your bi weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule. Once the trip is scheduled learn these words: “I’m sorry I already have an important appointment scheduled on that day.” For those who have a job schedule that changes weekly, there are always “Last Minute Travel Deals” on every travel website. Just commit to a week when you will travel and find a trip that coincides with your days off.

Now that when has been decided time to look at where you want to go. For those with limited time, start with the closest major city. Too many people go through their entire lives without being a tourist in their own city. The first rule of being a tourist in your own city is to stay in a hotel. Even if the nearest attraction is just 15 min away book a room. Environment is so important when taking a break from work and household chores, so leave your house for 1-2 days. Use the internet to find out what your city has to offer. The internet is great when planning a last minute vacation. There are always plenty of deals available. When planning a trip for 1 to 2 weeks, use your imagination and plan your dream vacation. Again the internet is the best place to gather information about travel worldwide. One word of caution is to be careful when choosing a vacation package that has a tight schedule. Rushing around form sight to sight is not on the list of relaxation techniques.

Planning regular getaways will improve your health, by changing your environment, widening your perspective and giving you something to look forward to. And if all that and a massage doesn’t lower your blood pressure, remove the tension in your shoulders and lower back, and slow down your hart rate, nothing will.

As the Uganda Children’s Choir concludes the tour with a school performance, they made local headline news on WBALTV Baltimore USA.
As i have mentioned before in other posts on this blog, music can take you places but most importantly it can also change someone’s life for the better.

Our hope is above: 2009 US tour

Mwamba children’s choir has a vision of building a children’s community centre which will involve schools, accommodation, medication centre, health centre and gardens. They are part of a local charity I am Children’s family which looks after abandoned children, street children, orphans, single parent kid who can not afford education or a place where to leave.

The US tours have been fundamental to their vision that land has already been set aside ready for the construction to start.

Stephen Sekitende project director said “We have a dream to build a multi-purpose facility to accommodate and teach our children in a safe and God-fearing environment”

The local media has blogged and reported on the choir as there has been a buzz about the choir in the US state of Maryland.

“Students in Westminster got a very special concert Tuesday morning. The Mwamba Children’s Choir performed. It took the children 24 hours to get to the United States from Africa, and they came all this way to sing and dance” WBAL TV News

When used for the right reasons, music can make a difference in someone’s future, as most of these children would not have dreamed of boarding a plane for the sole purpose of singing and in the end their lives are changed forever.

If you have wondered what kind of foods to lower cholesterol you should consume on a daily basis, I

If you have wondered what kind of foods to lower cholesterol you should consume on a daily basis, I can only assume that we take very seriously your health. So here's the good news. No need to travel in the Borneo jungle to try to eat some exotic foods for high cholesterol. Each list of foods that help lower cholesterol levels can be found at your local mart.

Cholesterol lowering diet does not meanliquid diet. We can be sure that it actually eat many food choices for high cholesterol. But it is useful to remember that a daily intake of cholesterol is generally recommended to 100 milligrams or less per day.

Clearly this is a burdensome task, an overview of the amount of cholesterol consumed per day to maintain, yes, here's a practical suggestion – it's cholesterol is found in products of animal origin. With this knowledge, we can roughly estimateType of foods that help reduce levels of cholesterol (nutritionists recommend write and keep track of your daily intake of calories, cholesterol, etc.).

Cholesterol-lowering foods – meat, rice, vegetables and potatoes

As mentioned earlier, to reduce cholesterol diet does not mean starve themselves of good things. Take the example of meat. Although cholesterol is found in products of animal origin, this does not meanYou must become a vegetarian. It can lower cholesterol by simply reducing the fat of meat, throw in a little 'of vegetables and stir fry.

"But it is not, the oil is bad for cholesterol, you ask? Not as vegetable oils, canola, safflower and olive oils. But a better solution is spray cooking. It is possible on the basis of fat and calories with these sprays. It would be a good idea of cooking sprays instead of oils and come in a varietyflavors as well.

Rice and potatoes go well with that meat and vegetable dishes, but why not replace the white rice, brown rice? Brown rice contains more nutrients. And try potatoes or sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes for better nutrition as well. While they are in progress, keep an eye on portion sizes. If you really want to help your food to lower cholesterol, then watch the food intake per serving. You can eat justice too guiltyFoods.

Keep the consumption of red meat such as beef, which is about once a week. Take the habit of eating more fish, or shells. You'd probably heard that the shellfish is high in cholesterol, but in reality, the shells are much less rich in cholesterol and contains less fat than red meat. Chicken provides a good complement to foods to lower cholesterol (and remove only the skin) fat.

If you remove saturated fats from your diet, you are not aloneReduce the bad cholesterol, but you also reduce the risk of diabetes, digestive disorders and even some cancers.

Foods to lower cholesterol – Soup

Many people underestimate the power of soup, when it comes to health. Soup was really on the list of foods that help to reduce cholesterol was added. It 'a great example of moderating your food servings of soup is usually made with a spoon (if you aresome parts of Asia, where drinking water) from a bowl of soup, a sign of respect. To go soup is a good way. Be creative with what you add. You can of soup, a main course by them with the bread.

And when it comes to vegetables, there is no shortage of variety. Nutritionists recommend eating vegetables usually from another variety as often as possible in order to extract the maximum nutritional value possible from them. So, look at the different types of vegetablesavailable and add them to the list of foods. If you are depending on the type of food stuck to eat cholesterol, you'll never go wrong with vegetables.

How much have you changed in your life?

When is the last time you stopped and looked back on not only who you were, but who you thought yourself to be? We all change. We all go through phases and transitions, only to end up in this very moment; sitting presently waiting for the next moment to come.

I never understood how people could stand it. People feel so compelled to live in this very moment; without taking time to reflect on what got us into that time. We are a confluence of every life we’ve led. Every action, every thought, every experience has led to this moment. Do you understand?

What have you done with your moments? Who are you right now? Who did you used to be?

We are quick to dismiss our pain and the unpleasantness in our lives. We don’t want to remember the things that hurt us. And maybe for good reason. But our pain is a part of us to.

We build our identity with the pieces we are given; each time it is torn down, we start again with a new understanding of what it is like to have our world torn to pieces. Each pile of rubble gets reused in the new creation of who you are.

Take time to look at your creation. To look at yourself. Who are you? What makes you that person?

People need to remember.

Born Ingeborg Nizze, Inge just wanted to fit in. Growing up in the center of Berlin in the 1930s, she learned the Hitler salute, sang the Nationalist songs and dreamed of joining the Hitler Youth.

The only trouble was: Inge was a “Mischling” – a kind of Jewish half breed that condemned her grandmother to the Holocaust and kept her father from working. Mischling could not marry freely; suffered food, educational and employment discrimination; and were threatened with sterilization.

Her family tried to immigrate to America – but America would not take them in. What was she to do?

Inge turned 17 eight days after the German surrender in May 1945. By then her grandmother was dead, and her father had been killed in what Inge considers suspicious circumstances. But Inge, her mother and two brothers, lived.

Inge got a job with the British and then the American occupying forces. Then she met GI Ray Papich and America welcomed her in.

Ingrid (as she calls herself in America) is now over 80. Life is a far cry from the days in Berlin when she was hungry and an outsider. She is a constant fixture on the tennis courts in Laguna Woods where she competes in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles tournaments. She loves dancing and social occasions of all kinds.

Inge’s story is one that few people know about. We know something of the Holocaust, but few know about the discrimination and alienation experienced by those who were classified as “Mischlinge” under the Nuremberg Race Laws.

Inge’s story of Growing Up Mischling demanded a life story video. “Growing up Mischling” won best short documentary at the 2009 Lake Arrowhead Film Festival.

We haven’t even set up our menorah yet even though here we are coming up on the third day of the holiday. Friday night we were just distracted and last night we spent it with friends and their 2½-year-old son who couldn’t understand why he can’t blow out the candles like he does on the birthday cake. Then of course, there’s Christmas, bearing it’s own gifts of expectation.

These holidays are for the children. Of course, there’s all manner of story, mythology, and fable surrounding lamps that stay lit for eight days and babies born in mangers – but it’s the faces of surprise, wonder, and joy that we look for. Adults just begin to look silly trying to deliver the goods – 4 AM sales at stores pushing everything from electronics to furry hamster dolls, and in my own town, pictures of rabbis in black coats and beards being lifted up in bucket trucks to light enormous holiday menorahs. Rabbis. In bucket trucks. I suppose at some point we’ll see Jesus waving from the back of a fire engine rolling slowly down the avenue.

As a Jewish kid from Brooklyn, I was always surrounded by Christmas. Not that I wanted to change religions, but that holiday had the best music, toys, and hot cocoa ads. In school we made paper snowflake decorations, holiday dioramas, and even got a treasured week off for the Christmas holiday. And then there was the tree decorating that I volunteered for at neighbor’s houses. An elegantly limbed evergreen in the living room lit up with delicately painted glass decorations, spun wisps of white fiber and below, stacks of boxes in iridescent wrapping papers, bows, and ribbon.

And when I was growing up I envied that tree to the point where my parents promised that one year they would get me a Hanukkah bush. Which of course never materialized. Until one year, I saw a small 3 foot tree where larger ones were being sold. So I bought it and took it home. The next morning I was woken up by my mother beating me with a kitchen towel screaming that I should get that Christmas tree out of her house! But Ma, I said, it’s a Hannukah bush! There’s no such thing as a Hannukah bush!, she said, We’re Jewish, get it out of my house!

OK – so I was in my early twenties at the time and should have known better.

I’m not a complete cynic about this time of year. I still look forward to the colored lights and wrapping paper and tune to the Christmas music channel on my radio driving back and forth to work. Nothing like Johnny Mathis singing Silent Night.

And maybe, one day, they’ll even play The Dreidel Song.

Tweet that.

Countdown Dec. 12th

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.Job 19:25-A lot of us have a lot of ailments to deal with, arthritis, diabetes, gout. and numerous others, All are painful. But consider Jobs ailments. His entire body was covered with infected sores. His immune system was shut down, and disease ravaged his flesh. How could Job have hope even though his body was wracked with pain? He could have hope because Job recognized his disease was only temporary, His house of clay would give out, and he would die. However he knew he had a redeemer who would restore his life at the end of time. That One would pay the ransom for his sins, thus allowing him to live forever with God. Do we have that hope in Christ the redeemer who lives? If so then we to can deal with our pain, knowing that someday we will be set free from our infirmities. And we will enjoy a new body as we live in heaven with our Lord.
