Ever wondered what actually does the Firefox Logo tries to explains? Have you ever seen it carefully?

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser developed for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux coordinated by Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation. Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine to render web pages, which implements current and anticipated web standards. As of May 2012, Firefox has approximately 25% of worldwide usage share of web browsers, making it the third most widely used web browser. The browser has had particular success in Indonesia, Germany and Poland, where it is the most popular browser with 67%, 50% and 44% of the market share respectively.

The animal shown in the logo is a stylized fox, although “firefox” is considered to be a common name for the red panda. The logo was chosen to make an impression while not shouting out with overdone artwork. It had to stand out in the user’s mind, be easy for others to remember, and stand out without causing too much distraction when seen among other icons.

The Firefox icon is a trademark used to designate the official Mozilla build of the Firefox software and builds of official distribution partners.

To design a great website, it needs a lot of works. However, DoelWeb [Cheap & quality website design & development company] makes the procedure easy for you with the following stages.

Stage 1 – Style over substance:

The first stage is to design a site that the chief executive officer, venture capitalists, and ad agencies like to see. There are all types of “bells and whistles” in this design, compare Doelweb cheap web design packages . An entire site might be a Flash animated site. Or there might be some beautiful JavaScript mouse over effects or drop-down menus in the design. It’s always a pretty design, but the message is clear – style over substance. 5-7 pages static website design at low price can provide you the best quality.

Stage 2 – Designing for online visibility:

In Stage 2, the reality of an ineffective web design begins to hit, usually around 3-6 months after the initial launch. A site will typically get rejected by many of the major directories, not be indexed by the major search engines, or not get the traffic or sales that were projected based on the various types of marketing strategies used. Typically, that’s when companies decide that they will try to hire a professional online marketer to promote the site. Doorway page companies, in some way, shape or form, rear their ugly heads. Unfortunately, many web site owners fall for a doorway page company’s pitch because the beautifully designed site couldn’t possibly be the problem with low site traffic. Yahoo might have rejected a site, or the site might have been listed in Yahoo and the company cannot understand why they have no description next to their company name. But in no way would many ad agencies or doorway page companies want to tell potential clients the truth — they simply did not design and write an effective web site — because it would mean losing thousands of pounds in business.
Don’t panic, place your website on the frontpage of Google with Doelweb SEO solutions

Stage 3 – Designing for your audience:

By Stage 3, after spending an exorbitant amount of money on pretty web site designs and various marketing strategies, web site owners generally figure out that they did not design or write an effective Web site for their target audience. Typically, web site owners will bring in a usability expert to analyze potential problems and present various solutions. Bringing in a search engine marketing expert to help with search-engine friendly web designs &templates early in the design phase can save a company thousands of pounds in online marketing costs.

Stage 4 – Site redesign:

After careful usability and search engine visibility analyses, web site owners finally have an effective web site. Webmasters can get eye-catching graphics design at low price including logo, banner, web template, PSD template, business card, brochure, magazine, wallpaper & so on along with Gorgeous, slick designed website templates, free templates, premium templates . A site that is written, coded and designed for user friendliness and search engine visibility generally gets the most traffic and resulting sales because it was written, programmed, and designed for end users.

Conclusion:

Web sites should always be designed with your target audience in mind, not your own personal preferences. Colours have meaning. Professional designers understand the psychology of colour and the use of white space to best project the image your audience wishes to see. (For example, try not to use the colour red on a financial site.) Understanding the products/services/information your target audience is searching for is paramount to designing and maintaining an effective web site. When you launch a site, you might have to make an educated guess as to what your target audience wants. After that, tools such as site statistics software and reporting from site searches tell you exactly what your visitors are looking for. Then content and marketing strategies can be adjusted accordingly. Unless the advanced technology clearly benefits end users, do not use it on your site. If your venture capitalists or CEO’s or lawyers like the site, ask if they are going to spend the thousands or millions of pounds to keep you in business. Its preferred to get updates from DoelWeb blog: Innovative solution to web design [logo, banner, business card, template, magazine, PSD], graphics, SEO & affiliates to discover current trends.

They’re not. Your target audience who will ultimately determine the success or failure of your site.

Therefore, it is essential to survey the market before finalizing any deal. Take a look at Doelweb cheap web design packages .

Most business owners try to invest a minimal amount that will help them to get a business name and display their services or products to the customers as quickly as possible. 5-7 pages static website design at low price can be that slution.

For an initial start up, an affordable web design firm can help you accomplish these goals the best, without having to sacrifice on the quality of work.

Many business websites do not need flashy animated pictures or complicated programming. A good web designer can build the custom layouts for your website and make it look very striking for an affordable fee. You can get eye-catching graphics design at low price including logo, banner, web template, PSD template, business card, brochure, magazine, wallpaper & so on .

Before selecting any web design company, check their design principles. You should be aware of the rates and packages available in the market, the services they have to offer, and the relationships they create with their clients.

Keep in mind that a good web design maintains a process that analyzes the business needs, plans for the best solution, creates a structure, and then designs it accordingly.

As an author (particularly self published author) there’s nothing more important than brandin

As an author (particularly self published author) there’s nothing more important than branding. A lesson I learned, pretty early on, but for some authors the idea of creating a brand (because after all you are your own business now) isn’t something you necessarily think about and for a writer it can be difficult to define. As with any company the big question in branding is what do you do? If you specialize (e.g.: are you a genre author? Do you prefer Horror or romance or writing mystery novels?). Are you mostly a blogger? Do you have a column somewhere? Do you do biographies or memoirs or just fiction? All of this goes into your brand, knowing what your brand should be about is the first step.

Creating a logo isn’t necessarily essential, but, it helps. If people have a logo to associate with you it makes you more easy to define. Let’s be honest, everyone knows the Apple logo without even thinking about it. You also know the Coca-Cola logo, the Chanel logo, and the BMW logo to name a few. Every company has a logo whether it’s an image or text they have one, now some companies go through periods of rebranding over time. Take for example the original Apple logo in the early 90′s vs. the Apple logo we know today.

90′s Apple Logo

Image via CrunchBase: Apple logo today

It’s kind of a big change. Some company logo’s go through small changes. We here at Cult of Racewood (or I guess, me here since it’s just me, myself and I) have had a few brands. The first of course was simply the Race to Fame brand (or alternately Race2Fame). It never really sold well so I moved on to the Racewood brand. All things Racewood as it were. Racewood became my official Twitter handle while Cult of Racewood became the official blog title and professional name.

Originally my logo was handwritten, (and in fact can be seen in the header of this blog. Then, I came up with a redesigned logo that I felt was a bit simpler and more easily recognizable in the long run.

my personal logo © A.J.Race

And truthfully, I’m still doing a little rebranding even of myself. The dark purple clouds have sort’ve become a trademark of mine mostly because I love purple so I’ve really incorporated purple in much of my design changes (which you’ve no doubt noticed) and I’ve also tried to make my blog more designed so that it has more of a professional author and designer aesthetic. Being a designer who lives for change I’m definitely a fan of changing up my blog and my brand and making it better as I go along. There really is no right or wrong way to brand yourself (and if something isn’t working then it’s okay to change) it. As a general note typically an author’s brand is their name… or a play on their name. (e.g. Cult of Racewood. A play on my last name Race). As a general rule be wary of cutesy changes to common words. For instance if your name happens to start with a K don’t change a word that is spelled with a C to a K just to be cute. It doesn’t work and for designers like myself it’s exhausting.

Consistency is key. If you want to change your brand, change it all over. Make it the twitter, make it your Facebook, your blog, make sure your brand/logo is always consistent. The best part about branding is that if like me you ever want to branch out into other things, you already have a solid brand to work from.

If you’re not sure what your brand should be… think about it. Don’t be afraid to do something different and if you need help, be sure to ask around. (I would be more than happy to help if you need it).

I know everyone has noticed the fun and festive “doodle” that appear on the Google searc

I know everyone has noticed the fun and festive “doodle” that appear on the Google search pages around holidays. But sometimes there are some for important people’s birthdays, interesting days in history and more. Google’s Doodles have gotten so popular through out the years that they have a special team of Illustrators in charge of choosing dates and designing the work.

The first time one of these doodles was done was in 1998, before Google was even huge, to indicate that the founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were out of the office for the Burning Man festival. The doodle was a simple drawing of a man behind the second “o” in the logo.

Today the doodles are so advanced that you can click on them and it will take you to a Google search page of what the doodle indicates. Some play music. Some move. And some are just plain fun. If you haven’t noticed these doodles because you’re blind, or maybe you “never get on the computer” (which we both know to be a lie because you’re reading this), then you can check out many of the doodles through out their history here: at the Google-Doodle Website

Below are some of my favorites! But to find out what they symbolize, you have to go check out the site! Happy Doodling

After months of leaks and a confirmation by EA, Dead Space 3′s official reveal must be getting

After months of leaks and a confirmation by EA, Dead Space 3′s official reveal must be getting close if all this media is any indication. After months of leaks, Not only do we now have the game’s logo, but also what appears to be its first screenshot. Both can be found below. The logo certainly seems to point at a very cold setting for the next game.

On top of that, we have a trailer for some kind of Dead Space graphic novel which looks quite good. In it, we meet a new character to the franchise, Earthgov Sergeant John Carver and watch him deal with the aftermath of an attack on his colony. Whether he will be tagging along with Isaac in the game’s rumored co-op mode is yet to be seen, but it does appear that this will somehow tie into the third game.

Finally, if you head on over to the offical Dead Space site, there’s appears to be a cryptic countdown written using the game’s Unitology alphabet. When deciphered, it points to a reveal on Monday, which is exactly when EA will hold their press conference so be ready. We will be covering the game as soon as its revealed.
