Ach ja, die Schreibfaulheit… .

Wie auch immer: Bei der Arbeit tauchte ein offenbar von einem Auto entferntes Logo auf – von Skoda. Nun entnehme ich der Wikipedia, dass das Skoda-Logo einen geflügelten Pfeil darstellen soll. Mag ja sein, solange es das Logo als Grafik gibt, aber in der Realität erinnert mich das Logo nicht an einen Pfeil, eher an einen Phallus. Der geflügelte Phallus, dass ich nicht lache… .

So, das Niveau liegt weinend unterm Bett, dann hab ich mein Tagwerk ja getan und kann mich in selbiges legen. Gute Nacht, Internet.

As if I needed another reason to hate her. This woman is such an idiot. Go fucking watch Russia from your house or some shit. Vegetarians don’t just eat salad you dumb shit.

Oh, and another attack at her idiocy: you’re an omnivore, Sarah Palin, not a carnivore.

Sarah Palin takes aim at vegetarians in Going Rogue

Sarah Palin’s highly anticipated memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life, will hit the bookshelves November 17. In the book, Palin traces her experiences from small town Alaskan girl to being on the national stage as the GOP vice presidential nominee.

Besides addressing her views on the McCain campaign and the media, Palin, a passionate Alaskan hunter, takes aim at vegetarians. Palin states, “If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore: If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

The accommodating host went on to explain, “I love meat. I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there’s plenty of room for all Alaska’s animals — right next to the mashed potatoes.”

Unfortunately Palin’s viewpoints on vegetarianism is not only narrow minded but is also widely shared. The cliché portrait of a vegetarian meal predominately includes a huge bowl of salad flanked only by a glass of water and carrot wedges. The plethora of food options available to those who have forgone meat is endless but mostly ignored by the masses.

Palin’s view on animals as being just meat is also shared by a considerable portion of our country. Her statement will surely receive a chuckle and thumbs up from many avid hunters and steak house patrons. It is a sad statement on our society when we applaud those who refer to animals as the centerpiece of their dinner plate.

A “carnivore”, as Palin refers to herself, does not have to change their lifestyle for a vegetarian but tolerance would be greatly appreciated.  Needless to say PETA will not be sending the former vice presidential candidate a Christmas card this year.

Mount Alvernia College bans girl for shaving head

A 15-YEAR-old Brisbane school girl has been suspended for shaving her head to raise money for vital cancer research.

Emily Pridham and her family told Channel Nine News her father is battling leukemia.

He underwent a bone marrow transplant a few weeks ago but has been given only a few months to live.

Ms Pridham decided to shave her head as part of a fundraiser for cancer research.

“Basically my way of coping is to try and help other people going through the same thing,” she said.

Ms Pridham said she has been banned from Mount Alvernia College until her hair grows back.

Barbara Pridham said she supports her daughter’s fundraising decision.

“I am just appalled that she could be suspended by a Catholic school that promotes joy, respect and community spirit,” she said.

Mount Alvernia College released a statement to Channel Nine News that said Ms Pridham had breached the college’s uniform guidelines and had been suspended because of “ongoing issues”.

By Tuesday morning, Ms Pridham had established a Facebook group to support her and was quickly gathering members.

She said on the page: “My inbox and Facebook wall are overflowing with messages of support. I Love my MAC girls, and thanks for standing behind me, It realy shows that in times of need the girls will always stick together ..”

So..I was sitting here thinking(as is my custom), when it hit me! “My man card may be revoked for wanting to see New Moon”  Now given, I could tell you it’s because Kristin Stewart is in it and she is smokin, but that wouldn’t be the whole truth.  I liked the books.  Won’t lie. Sure they are aimed at teenage girls and I’m an adult(technically) male(positively)….but that doesn’t mean that they automatically suck.  Sure there are some books written for teen girls that do blow worse than last decade’s leaf blower, but this has an honestly interesting and fun story to follow.  Now, knowing that all guys have their feminine moments, can you really call me out for liking this?  Nay. You cannot.  Especially if you’ve never read them.  Sure the first movie wasn’t that good, but then again, you cannot judge a book by its movie and vice-versa.  Now..how is it been blown out of proportion?  Oh shit yes.  I’ve never seen so much crazy/weirdness over movies and books in my life.  Even christians aren’t that crazy about their fiction book.(ha! didn’t think I’d let them off the hook did ya?) I think it’s safe to also change the word orgasm to either Edward-gasm or Jacob-gasm.  The first movie was full of the former…that’s right ladies.  I noticed. Anyways..I don’t really know where this post is going or even why I really posted anything, because this post doesn’t make all that much sense I don’t think…oh well.  That’s what blogs are fer, right?  Making slightly pointless posts from time to time..and spilling the beans that I’m excited to see this movie…Whatever, “blow me” as a very good friend of mine says when I start to irritate her.  At most you can only take away 36 to 44% of my man card over this..but I’ll regenerate it fast enough. So..do what you will!

On a side note…you folks should really check out A Christmas Carol in 3D.  Pretty dang spiffy if you ask me. Graphic design is just amazing. And, despite my dislike of the holidays and the relatively false reasons for it.  I like the story, what can I say. Jim Carrey is phenominal as always, Gary Oldman too is amazing, and old Bob Hoskins even gets his hand in there too, like an old gynecologist.(crude, forgive me)…well I suppose I’d better stop for now, before I find something else to talk about for no real reason…stupid A.D.D.     >:-(

See, as with all things, de Darkspear also got dey on way. We lay with who we wanna and everybody’s happy. Some of us, some Trolls do fall in love an’ stick with one person – but dey still open for a l’il fun every so often. Dese days, since de orcs? Not so much. Everybody gotta imitate de fellas dat drag us outta de murlocs’ grasp – but seven years later it’s time we stop kissin’ dey ass.

Trolls! Be Trolls. You ain’t orcs and you ain’t Tauren, you certainly ain’t elves or deadies neither! Love plenty, love often and love many.

I faction-transferred Talasha, a level 62 Troll priest, a little bit ago and decided that I absolutely needed to get her a new mount because I hate Elekks. So, Taashti embarked on a rather epic quest grind to get that Gods-damned horse. Lo and behold, it is now hers as of 2:34pm EST.

She will soon join the rest of my Alliance alts on Moon Guard but doesn’t consider her research of the humans to be quiiite over yet.

ETA: I may have a similar goal in mind for Valeni, the Draenei Mage on Thorium Brotherhood – but I’m going to hit the starting-to-twenty zones on her for the other races to nab their delicious spillover rep. Maybe.

No, not the cute little doggies, but pick up groups.

This – from reactions I’ve had in my personal circle – is a little bit of a touchy topic. That’s okay. I’m well practiced at putting my foot in my mouth, and people should know by now that I adore them no matter what my frustrations may be. The approaching tide of hormones may be making me snarkier than what is normal for me and more impatient, too.

Wait. I’ve always been less patient than what I give myself credit for.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I want to run stuff. When I want to run stuff, I don’t want to waste time waffling over what to run – I want to whip up a group and go. I’m even willing to risk four-man runs just to hit content and get shiny emblems, I don’t care, just let me at it, shut up, get it done.

Sometimes, PuGs manage to fill that void. Sure, there’s going to be failworthy behaviour and people doing stupid shit – but I’m running something and getting loot or emblems. I’m actually doing something. I’m not sitting around or frustrating myself by trying to force a group to fall together.

I mean, I really hate the person I become when I step up to prepare a group for a heroic. I badger, I make snap decisions, I probably irritate my more easy-going friends with my “shit or get off the pot” attitude but it gets things done, it gets us out and hitting stuff.

PuGs give me the chance to not be in charge. They give me the opportunity to do my job without being a jerk. Sure, sometimes I am a jerk but for other reasons that are perfectly valid. No. Seriously. I am. Honest. OH COME ON.

This is why I’m looking forward to 3.3’s Looking For Group tool. It will pop me into a random group for a random instance, no fuss, with people that I may never see again – I can work out my rage on other groups so I can be a more pleasant person with my usual compisitions. I can scratch my itches instead of waiting around and feeling dissatisfied by a lack of ANY content.

And when it comes down to it, “Raging-At-Stuid-People!Mat” is easier to deal with than “Emo-’Cause-She-Wants-To-Run-Something-And-Nobody-Else-Does!Mat”. Trust me.

I’ll never stop running with the people I adore, by the way – but it is always better for everybody involved if I don’t save myself for their runs and only their runs. Raiding? That’s another beast.

DON’T MAKE ME GO IN THERE OMG.

I learned two things over the weekend: One, a devilsaur pet can almost take on an unskilled hunter all by itself (Go Eddie!) and two, I suck at Beastmastery PvP.

Actually, no – three things. Prot paladins are insanely hard to kill.

On Saturday, a hunter was picking on Tarren Mill – a Night Elf hunter – so I hopped onto my hunter (in her full BM soloing spec) and traveled over to take care of him … as did one of two Protection Paladin friends (I will never give up DK tanking, but I find myself staring in silent awe at well-geared Paladin tanks). The hunter repeatedly lost,  (tip: If you pick on lowbie towns, the high-level denizens of your faction will happily beat you to a pulp until you give up), so he brought in a rogue friend. A rogue friend who, after being killed a few times, decided to switch to sapping and not really doing anything, so we hung around in the gate of town and watched the hunter try to kill us from afar. …  I sent my Devilsaur after him and the Devilsaur actually managed to nearly kill the hunter himself. All I did was Mend him a bit and Eddie the Devilsaur went “NOMNOMNOM”.

I was a little surprised.

Despite hunter buggering off and bringing a priest and one other person, a small party formed and continued to wipe the floor with these guys until they gave up on poor little Tarren Mill.

Sunday I thought, “I’m going to try to get Snorts again”, and I was so damn close I just needed a little more health. I figured out that if I freezing arrow and tame, I can survive up ’til the last second or two before the tame is complete. So, with my +170 Stamina charm, a Survival spec geared toward PvP talents and CC, some Fort elixirs and a scroll or two, I could pull it off. Protadin friend #2 showed up anyway and we spent an hour trying other methods of getting snorts. It would’ve been pulled off if the bastard didn’t keep spawning in areas where he’d evade glitch.

This is where I learned that I really suck at PvP – at least, without a pet. Obviously. I’m BM! No pet, no business.

One Death Knight swooped down and started hitting Protadin. We killed her and went back to dealing with the guards that would not stop spawning even when we ran away, though she came back and hovered above us. I fired a warning shot and she ran off, then I fell off the cliff. While I was running back to my corpse (Okay, flying), Protadin reported that he had killed her again.

Protip: Ulduar-geared protection paladins are not squishy, especially not against PvE-geared Death Knights who – like me trying to PvP on my Death Knights or Warlock – have no idea what they’re doing.

Another Death Knight showed up and kept targeting me, but we scared her away, too. We finally gave up when a) the damn pig spawned just outside Frosthold and ffffffff evade bugged again (when he did it the first time we had to melee him to death) b) two Night Elves who actually knew what they were doing showed up to chase us off. I’m absolutely stupid in PvP but it was amazing watching Protadin nearly kill the PvP-specced-and-geared hunter.

As of this writing, I have just finished a 23 hour writing spree with Jez Lucas, my newest workmate and good old friend. As of today,  I consider myself well-initiated on my newfound role as an outsourced SEO content writer.

No sleep since last night. We started around 10pm and I have just ended now, 9:15pm. 10 articles on a topic we knew absolutely nothing about.

Now beneath my battered brain cells, red eyes and caffeine-saturated body there lies a smile – a smile that depicts a kind of happiness that I haven’t felt in the longest time.

Whoops! Before I go on, let me zoom out and take a look at the bigger picture: last week.

SUMMARY: In the blackest plains of hell’s domain, through the fire and flames I carried on.

True, that is a broken excerpt from a song by Dragonforce, but I feel that right now those are the best words to describe what I had just gone through.

It all started friday last last week, when a deadline was given to me by my office where I work full-time. It was a hard deadline – pretty difficult as I really wasn’t used to this kind of work. But I needed to. I wanted to. I felt it. (but just a bit) It occured to me that I needed to do this job so I could move on to MY main project in our company. But I won’t go there. (it’s a surprise)

I didn’t meet the deadline.

I’m fortunate enough i guess, that the person who put me in charge of the project was kind enough to give me some slack. So it was that Wednesday that ANOTHER thing happened.

It is this two-headed creature named diarrhea that loomed over me. Moreover, his gremlin cohorts must have sabotaged the men’s cr in my office that SAME DAY as well.

Needless to say I retreated.

To be greeted by yet another deadline – the one I just finished TODAY.

The deadline was last Thursday – so I failed two deadlines this week.

And yet somehow, someway in all Hallow’s Eve. I got em done. I pulled through.

This was the week that I failed my first deadline in the office.

This was the week that sickness hit me in the worst possible time and place.

This was the week that I failed a second deadline.

This was the week that I barely slept – and didn’t sleep at all.

This was the week that messed up my personal life in ways I decline to mention here.

But this was the week I pulled through anyway.

and #%^%^%$^ IT if it THIS wasn’t THE BEST WEEK SINCE I STARTED WORKING LAST JUNE!

Because this was the week.. that I discovered what it was like to fulfill myself again through good ol’ hard work.
