Quizas para Noviembre escuchemos esta nueva joya del rock, Perry saldra de gira como The Joe Perry Project, recordemos que cuando dejó Aerosmith hace varios años atrás creó esta banda con la cual grabó 3 discos, Joe Perry cantará en cuantro de las canciones que conforman este disco el cual será llamado “Have Guitar… Will travel”, el titulo del album es un guiño al disco de Bo Diddley de 1959, el titulo fue proporcionado por un fan Joe Piscitelli luego de que Joe Perry consultase via Twitter. 5 de los temas fueron cantados por un alemán relativamente desconocido llamado Hagen, fue descubierto por Billie, la esposa de Joe, por Youtube. el resto de las canciones del disco son instrumentales. El primer sencillo es “Long way to go”

Today is Bomie’s day. As you’ve known, Bomie’d passed the hardest way in order to be excepted by YG as their trainee. She had to go through 7 different auditions, not because of the lack of talent but just her facial expression wasn’t good enough.

Naked Cassie - Stolen or Stunt?

Just this morning as I was logging into WP these headlines caught my eye. I asked myself do WP now allows nudity in its space? So I viewed the blog and -ow- it really wasnt a bluff and I double checked it with wikipedia. Surprisingly it turns out Cassie has a Filipino father and is quite famous in the hip-hop world.  Not a good example to describe Filipinos huh. Not to mention she was born in 1986, a few months younger than I am.

This reminds me that abundance can be more of a curse than a blessing. It is not a curse in itself, but mishandling it quites lead to a very unexpected downfall. Below is a much preferred picture of Cassie. Still I havent heard her music and has no plan to listen to it.

I am so thankful for the changes that God has worked in my life already and wait in expectation for Him to continue to work in my life.  I have a LONG way to go.  But, more than anything, I want to become the best that I can.  I want to give everything.  Give it all to Him.  I pray that as I prepare to leave, leave, and arrive in South Africa that I would continue to let Him change me, mold me, and form me into a better person for all of the things to come.

This resonates so deeply in my soul.  I am reminded of Ayn Rand’s books and her gift in masterfully portraying the need, the desire for greatness.  For as with above, God wants greatness.  He wants us spur us on toward living and excelling within our gifts, abilities and strengths.  ”Only God can take you where you were born to go.”

V2 had fallen fast asleep after talking about me and how I had made them proud today. I could sense their pride even from that distance. It was late december. Small whirlwinds of dry leaves were being blown around by the chilly wind. In the dark of night, all that my eyes could see was an occasional distant vehicle passing by with it’s headlights simmering through the dense trees. It was as if a firefly suddenly lit up and teasingly flew about before finally vanishing into thin air.

Resting on my main stand, I stood there at the edge of the cliff with the winds caressing me while rising up as if they were trying to lift me. Overlooking the valley and the winding road through the valley which I had so gloriously thumped through, felt nice. Really nice. I had a sense of achievement… pretty much like having the world at my feet – literally! Spending all that time waiting for my chance to get out of the metropolitan was not easy. Especially when I knew my potential and I knew what I was made for. But today… it felt as if all that running in was worth it.

Rather, it was essential… essential to prepare me for this journey today and many more ahead. The confidence and grip that I exuded today is all thanks to the little mistakes that I did earlier on. They taught me, made me tough. I was a mere cub then. My tyres were soft, they needed hardening before they could take on the highway tarmac. My engine was new, it had to be seasoned before I could thump royally as I do today. The agility… the control… the grip… all these and many more that make me what I am today were due to those two months of rigorous and religious running in.

But it only made me wonder… am I ready yet?  …may be for this trip. But what about the next one? and the one after that? I do not know what challenges I will face then… I didn’t know about the ones I would face today, but I had prepared for them… and I will prepare for the ones I will face in the future, I thought. I have a long way to go… a long way before I can hang my boots and rest my heels. But I will make it! No matter how many times the oil that runs in my engine starts leaking or my tyres go flat or even if the bearings wear out! I will take it all in my stride and keep thumping! Thumping till I reach the top and have the universe at my feet, coz just the world is not enough…

I caught a bit of the live stream of his recording session the other day, which was a genius promo idea that somebody should be doing also in the near future, and the whole thing made me really look forward to his upcoming album dropping 10.28.08.

Hannibal Joe sounds too much like somebody that would tow my car if I got a flat tire at 3 AM in some Mississippi backwoods.
