Akhirnya pergi juga aku kencan ma ay nce

Perginya mah malem Kamis, bukan tanggal spesial, pas ke kantor pake baju yang bluwek banget, warnanya biru muda, khas orang pabrik banget dah, nyahahahaha

Tadinya siy mikir ah ga napa, nce juga kemaren blom cukur rambut dah gondring, pasti juga blom cukur jenggot dan mobil juga ga dicuci, walahh lengkap amat jeleknya…hihi…

Tau-taunya, rapi bo, kelimis, abis cukur rambut ples dipakein gel pula, bediri dong…apanya…ya rambutnya kaleeee spikey gituh hehe… pake mobil kinclong pulak, mantebh deh.

Sebelumnya mah mana pernah kita begini.

Secara kantor ane di ujung berung, nce di kantor tengah kota tapi jam kerjanya 20jam/ hari, ancur kannnnn…

Pas kapan chat ma kakak gua siang-siang, dia bilang abis lunch bareng ma misuanya, padahal hari kerja, phewww…

Baru nyadar gua seumur-umur dah 5 taun nguli di sawah orang blon pernah sekalipun lunch bareng misua apalagi nyang lain (maksutna… ?!?! *otak gua lagi error niy).

Iseng deh sms nce bilang pengen diajak kencan.

Ihhh…norak abis, tapi biarin dah daripada gua nunggu laki gua sadar sendiri bahwa jadi misua (kadang) harus romantis, yah gua sadarin aja sekalian hihi…

Alhamdulillah gayung bersambut.

Lah kemaren-kemaren pernah ga berhasil, malah dijawab OK ini ada yang mesti diselesain abis itu ya…Huh, itu mah artinya kaga yeee…

Tapi ko ya mang terasa beda ya, pas masuk mobil dijemput, gua deg-degan.

Berasa dulu sering dijemput pulang kuliah didepan Arion Mall naek mobil papa *halah

Tapi ya dasar kencan orang dewasa alias pasangan sudah menikah, yang diobrolin ga lain ga bukan, anak sodara-sodara hihi…

Ngobrol kesana-kemari, balik lagi soal anak, balik lagi ke anak, kita ampe geli sendiri

Pas mikirin mau kemana, nce usul nonton aja…

Hmmm…kalo nonton nanggung, kasian juga sama mama yang jagain Lana sementara ortunya nge-date…lagian mendadak ga enak, next time deh di-arrange lagi nge-date nonton ke bioskop (seperti lagu benyamin ya hihi…)

Misua siy ngajakin check-in…whoaaa…ngga ah, buat apa lagi…lagian ga ngerti caranya…ntar ditanya-tanyain udah nikah belo, segala macem, ribet…kayak ga punya rumah aje hihi…

Kalo gua mah pengennya kencan ini ngobrol, ngobrol apa kek tentang masa depan, bagaimana membangkitkan kembali gairah cinta yang meletup-letup dalam pernikahan kita (uhuuuyyy…), kalo cowo mah ya itu ya…ke arah situ mulu…

Akhirnya kita mutusin dinner di Kafe Pisa Menteng aja. Dulu juga pernah nce diculik disitu sama temen-temen se-geng main, waktu ketauan pacaran ma gua, alias disuruh ngaku hihi…

Kafenya lumayan ga terlalu rame, kita pilih makan di outdoor deket rimbunan pohon, maksutna siy biar romantis, tapi yang ada malah jadi santepan nyamuk hehe…kesian niy si nce yang ga tahan banget kalo ada nyamuk, kegatelan

Disitu kita makan ga kenyang siy, namanya juga cafe, yang dibeli suasananya hehe…

Gua pesen Fettucine Alfredo, fettucini creamy gitu pake daging asap sama potongan daging ayam, nce seperti biasa dimanapun berada, nasi goreeenggg doongggg, canggih emang niy laki gua gampang bener makannya…

Minumnya gua pesen Mocha Blend, dia Italian Soda rasa Kiwi, lumayan deh, sama pesen Cobana (kayak banana split porsi kecil) buat dessert dimakan ber2 uhuuyyy…

Ngobrolin segala macem lah waktu disana, ngalor-ngidul, tapi lebih ke rencana ke depan. Target pribadi dan keluarga tahun 2010. Sama refleksi dikit ke belakang, apa-apa yang mau dibenerin, diperbaiki, dalam diri sendiri, berkeluarga, bekerja, bla..bla..bla…

It’s been six years since The Return of the King completed Director Peter Jackson’s take on The Lord of the Ring trilogy. Two years ago, it was announced that Jackson would also undertake filming the prequel to The Lord of Ring, The Hobbit, as two films. It was recently announced that the script for the two films was nearly complete and filming would begin in the summer of 2010.

 It’s the story of Bilbo Baggins, seen in The Lord of the Ring as an old Hobbit. Gandalf the Gray is seeking Baggins help in recovering the One Ring. It includes the quest for the ring and all of the interesting races and adventures along the way.

 Jackson isn’t directing the new films, but he will serve as executive producer along with Fran Walsh. The films will also be shot simultaneously just as The Lord of the Ring was. The new filming date is a delay from the original plan to begin shooting this year.

 The Hobbit is still due out in December 2011 with the sequel to follow a year later. Expect them to be even grander films than the original trilogy and to win big at the box office.

 Though some of the J.R.R. Tolkein purists were disappointed with the original trilogy, The Lord of the Ring trilogy made nearly $3 billion worldwide and The Return of the King won 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture, a first for a fantasy film.

I find this “what constitutes derivative” topic interesting because the accusation that a work is derivative seems to be leveled at fantasy more than at stories in other genres. When was the last time, for instance, that you heard someone criticize a romance for being derivative? Never mind that category romances, for years, followed a strict structure that was taught as necessary for the success of a novel.

I suppose, rather than “derivative” these works are considered formulaic, but didn’t they derive from one original work that contained the elements that have since become requisite to romance?

Still, I find it odd that fantasy similarly can’t fall into an easy formula and be acceptable, despite Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. Rather, fantasy that cuts too close to an established work is labeled derivative, and this accusation is the kiss of death. It’s a wonder that Lord of the Rings became so successful once the derivative accusation began to swirl around Tolkien.

What exactly was it that brought the criticism, since it wasn’t setting, imaginative creatures, plot points, people groups, poetry, names, prose or style?

I suggest, in the case of Lord of the Rings, critics saw similarities with the central premise in Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen:

Add to this that the ring was cursed, enslaving whoever would possess it, and you have strikingly similar central plot points. Discussion swirls around the idea that the similarities exist because Tolkien and Wagner drew from the same influences. Yet some scholars cling to the belief that Tolkien knowingly “borrowed” Wagner’s core concept.

Interestingly, some fantasy is intentionally derivative. I think of Bryan Davis’s Raising Dragons and Stephen Lawhead’s King Raven Trilogy. Both derive intentionally from the legend of King Arthur. However, both, in unique ways, twist the familiar story in such a way that it becomes unique.

The accusation of “derivative” is not used in such instances. Instead, it seems to be reserved for works that either model themselves after another work (which is what Christopher Paolini seems to be accused of) or those that utilize someone else’s unique development (science fiction that employs Star Trek technology and lingo, for instance).

In some cases, it seems as if critics are simply weary of stories with tropes such as good versus evil, at least ones that represent good as good and evil as evil. Normally bad vampires, as good seem to be all the rage, but then the Twilight books are hardly high fantasy.

I guess my point is this: the accusation of “derivative” has been around since Tolkien first made fantasy literature a thing of its own. Does the mere suggestion that a story is similar to some other source mean it does not have merit? I think millions of Lord of the Ring readers would say otherwise.

Siapa yang tidak tau film Lord of The Ring dan siapa juga yang tidak tau Game DoTa ? LOTR merupakan film sekuel kolosal yang sangat popular. Sedangkan DoTa merupakan game Online yang sedang ramai-ramai nya dimainkan dikalangan anak-anak remaja saat ini. Kedua nya membangkitkan Tokoh-tokoh dari zaman dahulu. Awalnya mungkin kita tidak akan menyadari kesamaan-kesamaan yang ada pada film dan game ini. Namun jika kita mau perhatikan dengan baik, ada beberapa kesamaan pada dua hal tersebut, entah kesamaan yang disengaja ataupun tidak. Saya bermain DoTa sudah cukup lama jadi saya sudah hafal tentang detail-detail pada game ini. Nah belum lama ini saya menonton film LOTR di TV. Saya nonton dari pertengahan sampai akhir. Dan saya mulai menyadari kesamaan-kesamaan tersebut :

1. Pada film LOTR ada beberapa RAS yaitu; Human, Elf, Orc,Dwarf. Nah pada game DoTa sebutan-sebutan ini juga ada.

2. Pada film LOTR ada tokoh yang bernama Gandalf, berjubah putih dan mengendarai kuda putih. Pada game DoTa ada Ezalor yang karakter nya hampir mirip dengan Gandalf.

3. Pada film LOTR ada Pohon-pohon raksasa yang disebut bangsa Ent. Bangsa Ent berpihak pada kebenaran. Di game DoTa pada sisi Sentinel dijaga oleh Pohon raksasa yang disebut AnciEnt Protector.

4. Pada film LOTR, sisi yang jahat dijaga oleh menara yang memiliki mata dan jika musuh terlihat oleh mata itu, mata itu akan segera menembak musuh tersebut meskipun jaraknya jauh. Pada game DoTa sisi Scourage dijaga oleh menara yang diatas nya memiliki lambang mata.

Ya, sejauh ini saya hanya menemukan persamaan-persamaan tersebut. Ini semua hanya pikiran saya saja, jadi entah apakah persamaan tersebut memang disengaja atau tidak, saya tidak tau. Well, it wasn’t the deepest ocean but Wellington Harbour in New Zealand might seem like the deepest ocean on the planet when you’re looking for an object the diameter of a penny. And the fact that a man would spend so much time searching for something without asking his wife “Where is it?” well that’s a miracle in itself! My god his wife is a lucky woman!

Anyway, after finding his wedding ring at the bottom of the harbour Ecologist Aleki Taumoepeau has more than earned lifetime control of the tv remote along with some other lifelong marriage benefits..lol

Christine Hakim mengatakan, bahwa Hollywood dalam setahun bisa memproduksi seribuan judul film. Kebanyakan film komersial. Hanya sedikit film yang benar-benar berkualitas. Begitu kurang lebih yang dikatakan Christine Hakim dalam dialog dengan MetroTV baru-baru ini.

Film yang tidak berkualitas biasanya: Menonjolkan adegan action, ada kebut-kebutan di jalan, ada tembak-tembakan, ceritanya dibuat-buat, penuh fantasi, dibumbui adegan pornografi, mempromosikan sikap amoral, tidak membawa pesan moral yang kuat, kronologi mudah ditebak, romantisme cengeng, dan lain-lain. Sebagian besar produk film Hollywood masuk kategori tidak berkualitas. Meskipun biaya pembuatannya besar, diperankan bintang-bintang top, bahkan menjadi box office film.

Film seperti Cut Nyak Dien, Laskar Pelangi, atau Fatahillah, bisa dikategorikan film berkualitas. Film itu mengandung pesan moral yang kuat, penggambarannya sangat realistik, detail estetik diperhatikan, bebas dari materi-materi amoral, acting pemain berjalan natural (alami), dan lain-lain. Adapun film seperti “AAC”, dari sisi konsep cerita saja sudah rapuh; mencerminkan impian romantisme “ala Rano Karno”, hanya setting ceritanya seorang aktivis.

Dari katalog film Hollywood, ada beberapa judul film yang dianggap sangat berkualitas, misalnya: Robin Hood (Mel Gibson), The Patriot, Saving Private Ryan, The Fugitive, US Marshall, Bond of Brothers, Cast Away, dan lain-lain. Film-film seperti ini mengandung nilai-nilai moralitas yang sangat kuat.

Adapun film seperti The Matrix, sangat kuat nuansa propaganda Zionisme-nya. Isi film itu sepenuhnya menggambarkan perjuangan bangsa Yahudi untuk memiliki kedaulatan sendiri (Israel) di tengah kehidupan dunia. Hanya saja, disamarkan dengan konsep cerita Matrix yang cukup rumit. Disana disebutkan, teritorial yang mereka perjuangankan bernama Gerbang Zion. Gerbang Zion itu akan selamat dengan datangnya tokoh “yang diramalkan”. Ini benar-benar propaganda Yahudi, hanya umumnya masyarakat tidak memahami sejauh itu.

Perlu dicatat disini. Film-film yang dibintai Mel Gibson rata-rata serius, digarap dengan sungguh-sungguh, dan berbobot. Mel Gibson dikenal sebagai pesohor Hollywood yang sangat kaya. Dia penganut Katholik fanatic. Dan satu lagi yang penting: Dia sangat anti Yahudi. Meskipun Hollywood dikenal didominasi oleh Yahudi, tetapi posisi Mel Gibson seperti “logika the matrix” di tengah rimba sistem sinema Yahudi Hollywood.

Kemudian, ada sebuah film istimewa, yaitu: Lord Of The Ring. Film ini telah diputar berkali-kali di TV. Saya tahunya juga dari sana. Pada mulanya ada rasa “takut” saat pertama melihat simbol-simbol dalam film ini. Namun lama-lama paham tentang PESAN BESAR yang disampaikan oleh film kolosal itu.

Film Lord Of The Ring (disingkat LOTR) bukanlah film bertema sejarah, sebab di dunia ini tidak ada sejarah seperti itu. Ia juga bukan film sihir seperti Harry Potter, sebab di dalamnya minim adegan-adegan sihir. Ia bukan film fantasi murni, sebab detail ceritanya mengandung makna-makna tertentu. Ia bukan film horor, sebab tidak ada eksploitasi dunia hantu-hantuan.

Film LOTR itu adalah film METAFORA FUTURISTIK. Maksudnya, film itu sarat mengandung perlambang-perlambang tentang kehidupan yang akan terjadi di masa nanti. Bukan main-main, perlambang yang digambarkan dalam film LOTR adalah materi seputar TANDA-TANDA KIAMAT. Kalau Anda teliti melihatnya, disana akan didapatkan begitu banyak kondisi-kondisi yang menggambarkan kehidupan menjelang Hari Kiamat nanti. Hanya semua itu dibuat sangat samar, dengan istilah-istilah, kronologi cerita, dan tokoh-tokoh fiktif.

Para aktivis Islam di perkotaan, banyak yang tidak percaya dengan hadits-hadits seputar Asyratus Sa’ah (Tanda-tanda Hari Kiamat). Mereka anggap hadits-hadits itu tidak realistik, tidak rasional, dan tidak sesuai dengan fakta-fakta kehidupan modern. Tetapi anehnya, kalangan non Muslim justru sangat mempercayai hal itu. Film LOTR mencerminkan keyakinan mereka terhadap episode-episode menjelang Hari Kiamat nanti. Bahkan di pusat-pusat Zionisme Internasional, mereka merancang konsep The New World Order berdasarkan khabar-khabar Tanda-tanda Kiamat itu.

Kalau seorang aktivis HMI ditanya tentang kedudukan Al Mahdi, Dajjal, turunnya Isa Al Masih di masa nanti, dll. Besar kemungkinan, mereka sulit untuk percaya. Seakan dalam benak mereka, yang namanya keyakinan itu ya RASIONALITAS. Tetapi kalau ditanya tentang film LOTR, bisa jadi mereka akan menjawab, “Oh, filmnya bagus. Asyik banget. Seru deh pokoknya!”

Sungguh sayang kalau ada pemuda Muslim yang tidak percaya dengan Tanda-tanda Hari Kiamat. Padahal kaum Yahudi sangat mempercayai hal itu. Saat ini mereka menanam banyak pohon Gharqad di Israel, sebab mereka yakin pohon itu akan menolong mereka kelak. Bahkan penanaman pohon ini menjadi gerakan internasional yang aktif mereka kampanyekan saat ini.

Di antara kesamaan isi film LOTR dengan Tanda-tanda Kiamat antara lain sebagai berikut:

[1] Inti cerita film LOTR adalah pertarungan antara golongan putih dan golongan hitam. Begitu pula saat menjelang Hari Kiamat nanti, akan ada pertarungan besar antara kaum Muslimin dengan kaum Yahudi.

[2] Dalam film LOTR, puncak kepemimpinan kejahatan digambarkan sebagai kekuatan sihir bermata satu. Hal ini adalah gambaran yang sangat jelas tentang sosok Dajjal sebagai raja kejahatan di Akhir Jaman nanti.

[3] Dalam film itu digambarkan ada koalisi antara dua kekuatan besar untuk melawan imperium kejahatan (Mordor). Dalam kehidupan di Akhir Jaman nanti juga akan terjadi koalisi antara Ummat Islam dengan kaum Nashrani, untuk menghadapi imperium kejahatan Yahudi.

[4] Dalam film itu digambarkan sosok Frodo sebagai pembawa cincin yang harus menghancurkan raja kejahatan. Begitu pula kelak peranan Isa Al Masih yang akan turun ke dunia untuk menghancurkan Dajjal.

[5] Dalam film itu digambarkan munculnya seorang kesatria pemberani, pembela kebenaran, dan sangat konsisten melindungi Frodo. Setelah imperium kejahatan Mordor hancur, kesatria itu diangkat menjadi kaisar. Posisi kesatria ini dalam Tanda-tanda Kiamat sangat mirip dengan posisi Imam Mahdi.

[6] Di akhir cerita digambarkan imperium kejahatan hancur seluruhnya, tidak ada yang tersisa. Begitu pula, di Akhir Jaman nanti imperium Dajjal juga akan hancur, kaum Yahudi akan tercerai-berai dan binasa.

[7] Sebelum imperium kejahatan (Mordor) itu hancur, mereka mengalami kamajuan-kemajuan pesat dari sisi kekuatan militer. Puncaknya, mereka mampu mengepung kekuatan kebaikan di sebuah lembah. Di Akhir Jaman nanti demikian juga kondisinya. Kaum Yahudi mendapat kekuatan yang sangat hebat, sehingga mendesak orang-orang beriman dalam situasi tersudut. Namun akhirnya kekuatan Yahudi itu hancur-lebur seiring hancurnya Dajjal.

[8] Kunci kekuatan imperium kejahatan adalah “sang mata satu” (Sauron). Semakin kuat dirinya, semakin kuat pula kerajaannya. Namun saat dia hancur, maka hancur pula seluruh imperium kejahatannya. Begitulah hubungan antara Dajjal dengan kaum Yahudi terkutuk di Akhir Jaman nanti.

[9] Hancurnya kekuatan “sang mata satu” ditandai dengan melelehnya cincin yang dibawa Frodo di sebuah kawah gunung yang membara. Begitu pula digambarkan, nanti di Akhir Jaman Dajjal ketika melihat Nabi Isa As., dia akan meleleh seperti garam yang meleleh.

[10] Dalam film itu digambarkan bahwa tokoh “sang mata satu” bukan muncul dari bangsa jin atau makhluk lain. Ia berasal dari sosok seorang raja di masa lalu. Dalam Tanda-tanda Kiamat disebutkan, bahwa Dajjal itu sejenis manusia. Lahir dari keluarga Yahudi di Isfahan, Iran saat ini.

[11] Sang pembawa cincin (Frodo) pada akhirnya meninggal juga. Dia harus berpisah dengan teman-teman setianya. Di Akhir Jaman nanti, Nabi Isa As. juga akan meninggal setelah menuntaskan tugasnya.

[12] Misi lain dari perjuangan Frodo adalah menuntaskan cerita dalam buku yang ditinggalkan oleh kakeknya. Cerita itu hampir selesai di tangan Frodo. Namun dia sisakan satu halaman lagi untuk diisi temannya, Sam. Begitu pula, wafatnya Isa Al Masih di Akhir Jaman nanti menandai berakhirnya kehidupan dunia. Kehidupan dunia kala itu tinggal tersisa sedikit lagi.

[13] Di akhir perjalanan hidupnya, Frodo dihantarkan naik perahu untuk berlayar menuju suatu tempat yang sangat indah. Dia disambut oleh makhluk-makhluk ghaib dari dunia lain (semacam Malaikat). Begitu pula balasan bagi para Nabi dan orang-orang shalih dalam kehidupan di Akhirat nanti. Mereka akan mendapatkan syurga yang di bawahnya mengalir sungai-sungai.

Film LOTR memiliki detail yang bagus. Disana hampir-hampir kita tidak menemukan pornografi, perilaku amoral, pemujaan terhadap berhala (syaitan), romantisme picisan, dan lain-lain. Luar biasa, film ini unggul dari segala sisi. Meskipun, namanya film Barat, pasti ada saja kesalahan atau kekurangannya.

Saya terus terang heran, mengapa Hollywood meloloskan film seperti itu? Padahal ia menggambarkan kekalahan imperium Dajjal di Akhir Jaman nanti. Sementara Hollywood CS adalah bagian dari skenario New World Order yang merupakan tahap awal sebelum munculnya imperium Dajjal.

Kondisi saat ini kalau dibaca melalui metafora Lord Of The Ring, kurang lebih bisa kita pahami:

Saat ini jaringan internasional Freemasonry dkk. terus bergerak serentak, intensif, dan tidak kenal istirahat, untuk memperbesar kerajaan kejahatan Dajjal (Mordor). Dari sisi ekonomi, informasi, politik, militer, budaya, pemikiran, ideologi, dll. mereka terus bergerak. Agen-agen Freemasonry di Indonesia bisa dianggap sebagai pion-pion anak buah Sauron yang sangat fanatik dan bekerja membi-buta. Mereka sedang mempersiapkan hadirnya “Mesiah” yaitu Dajjal di “Land Promise” (Palestina). Sementara kekuatan anti Yahudi, baik dari kalangan Islam maupun Nashrani, juga tengah bergerak menyusun kekuatan masing-masing. Perlu diingat, Yahudi hari ini bukanlah pengikut Taurat peninggalan Musa As. Mereka adalah pengikut keyakinan-keyakinan sihir dari jaman Fir’aun di Mesir. Yahudi saat ini mengikuti Talmud, bukan Taurat. Meskipun, katanya masih ada Yahudi yang setia mengikuti Taurat. Adapun mayoritas Yahudi yang mengikuti Talmud itu, mereka bukan Ahlul Kitab, tetapi orang musyrikin. Sebab, mereka menyembah Dajjal atau simbol-simbol paganisme Mesir Kuno. Ingat, para anak buah Dajjal itu bukan pengikut Musa, justru mereka adalah musuh sejati Musa. Nenek-moyang mereka, Bani Israil durhaka, mereka dulu telah menyia-nyiakan Musa ketika dirinya masih ada di tengah Bani Israil. Yahudi hari ini lebih tepat disebut: Pengikut SAMIRI, bukan Musa As.!

Hanya masalahnya, kalau kita menyaksikan film Lord Of The Ring, secara tidak kritis, akan sulit menangkap pesan-pesan besar di baliknya. Apalagi jika menyaksikan film itu sekedar untuk hiburan belaka. Wah, sayang sekali.

Mayoritas film Hollywood tidak berkualitas, alias murahan. Sebagian mereka malah pekat berisi propaganda-propaganda, seperti The Matrix, Chlinder List, dll. Namun ada juga yang berkualitas dan mengandung pesan-pesan moral kuat. Alangkah baik, kalau kita hanya melihat yang baik-baik saja. Alhamdulillah Rabbil ‘alamiin.

Hoy no les tengo algo acerca del show biz, sino, que tengo una recomendación,resulta que el fin de semana estube visitiando a mi prima, quién es fanática del anime, y me dijo que iba a seguir escribiendo su fan fiction, y yo me quede con cara de que no sabía de que me hablaba y me explico lo que es un Fan fiction, pues es una pagina de internet, es un blog, donde los fans escriben las tramas que se les ocurre de temas como películas, series, libros, bandas, etc… les cambian el final, les aumentan cosas, le quitan cosas, hacen relaciones entre los personajes, en realidad me parece super creativo todo eso, digo si de plano no te gusta el final de esa película o libro pues por qué no cambiarlo, resulta que en la categoría libros los más modificados o los que tienen más fan fiction es harry potter, el señor de los anillos y crepusculo, de anime aparece Naruto.. así que si te gustaría crear tu versión pues no dudes en checar las historias de los fans..

Is there any form of PvP in LotRO?
There sure is. But it’s different from what you might expect. Being that the notion of elves mass killing hobbits was distinctly un-Tolkien, Turbine has created Monster Play for players to help them free the beast within.

What is Monster Play?
Monster play, or PvMP, is Player versus Monster Player. What that means is instead of hobbits and elves fighting it out among themselves, a system has been created that lets players take temporary control of “monsters” and fight the higher level regular player characters of LotRO.

Great, so now instead of worrying about an elf killing my hobbit, I have to worry about roving bands of Monter Players?
Not at all! The PvMP system is 100% consensual in nature for just that very reason. Anyone who does not wish to partake in the PvMP never has to, not even for a second. The ongoing battle takes place in the isolated world area of the Ettenmoors, and you won’t find yourself accidentally stumbling into the area either. It’s only accessible through talking with specific NPCs.

Hmm… okay, I’m intrigued. Tell me more about PvMP.
Well let’s give you a run-down of its features, and we’ll go from there.
- The Ettenmoors is a large, fully-developed region, about the same size as the Shire.
- Players on each side start in a “no-kill zone”. You won’t be thrown into the Ettenmoors, and immediately waylaid by opponents.
- The objectives that either side must strive to attain are defeating the enemy in combat, completing PvE and PvP driven quests, and of course, maintaining your sides hold on several Keeps and Towers.
- There are five monster classes to choose from when creating a Monster to patrol the Ettenmoors with.

The Monster Play Zone: The Ettenmoors.

What classes are available for creating a monster?
The five “classes” of monsters are as follows:
The Uruk Warleader – The main tank of the Monster side, this hefty orc is directly intended to be the leader in groups. With powerful in combat and out of combat buffs, as well as the ability to heal and do moderate damage per second, the Warleader is sort of a jack of all trades.

The Orc Reaver – The Champion class for Monsters, the Orc Reaver is your most essential damage doer. Also with the ability to de-buff, interrupt skills, and do some tanking, he’s a crafty foe not to be taken for granted.

The Uruk Blackarrow – And expert Uruk orc Archer, this class is a ranged damage dealer with some crowd control abilities, and a sprinkling of area of effect damage dealing.

The Warg Stalker – A stealthy canine abomination of the Dark Lord’s army. These pups are proficient in doing high burst damage, they can serve as a tank in some pinches, and are capable of interrupting opposing players spells and skills.

The Spider Weaver – Similar to the spiders often found giving travelers trouble across Eriador, these little 8-legged freaks are efficient at crowd control, damage over time, some light damage dealing, and even some ambush attacks. It should be noted that you can’t have alts of your monster characters. You can play one of each class though, and their names are permanent upon creations. So choose wisely.

How do I play as a monster in the Ettenmoors?

Making a monster character or “creep” as they are so lovingly called is easy!
Start off by leveling a regular player aka “freep” to level 10, once you have done that, monster play is simple! Before log in to your freep,
you will see in your character window a red bar labeled “Monster Play”. Once entered on that side, you will have a choice of several
different types of Monster Players to chose from!

Can I level my monster and make him stronger over time, like a normal character?
Yes and no. Your monsters will start as level 50 regardless of what level you first step into its skin. They’re not on par statistically or skill-wise with a level 50 player, but more so like a mob that a player would be fighting at that level.

This was done because Turbine anticipates at all times there being more monsters than players (who must be upper-level to play in PvMP) and therefore the fighting field should be level. Monsters can grow in strength though, through the acquisition of Infamy and Destiny Points.

What are Infamy and Destiny Points?
Sort of like experience for monster players, these can grant or enable things like additional skills, improvements to current skills, bonuses to the monster’s Morale, regenerations rates, armor mitigation, and so on. Players can also gain additional appearances to change the look of their monsters over time via the Infamy system.

I heard talk about maps… where do I get these?
Glad you asked! One of the most important things to have out in the ‘Moors are your maps. There are a total of 15 maps you can get on the Creep side. 3 maps for each Keep:

*Lugazag
*Tol Ascarnen
*Tirith Rhaw
*Isendeep
*Grimwood Lumber Camp

Each map can be obtained by doing quests for each keep. Starting, you need 10 quests to obtain your Crude map to the Keep, followed by 25 quests for your Poor map to that keep, then finally 50 quests total for your Good Map. The Crude and Poor maps all share the same timer, so if you use your Crude Grimwood Map, the timers for the rest of your Maps will start the cooldown also. The only maps that do not share a cooldown are the Good Maps, they are all on a seperate timer.

There is also a Gramsfoot Map you can obtain by “scounting” out the different keeps or (depending on the keep) talking to one of the NPC’s there. this you have to do without dying so make sure you steer clear of the fighting!

Okay, now I know how to be a monster, but how do I play my main character in the Ettenmoors?Glad you asked! Of course, you’ll first need to level your character to level 40 though, as that’s the lowest level you can enter the Ettenmoors as. It’s probably a better idea to level him or her a bit higher though, as everything in the zone is geared towards top level players. Once you’ve done this, here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Travel to Rivendell by any means possible
- Find the Horse Stables in the Western section of the area (known as Elrond’s Stables).
- Right click on Stablemaster Remros then select Ettenmoors and click the “Go!” button. You’ll be taken to the Ettenmoors, where you can begin your quest to rid the area of Sauron’s forces. The objectives for the player character side of things are similar to the monster side. Kill the monsters, complete the quests scattered across the zone, and attain and keep control over the keeps and towers in the area. Doing all of these things will reward your player with Destiny Points.

What can my character do with Destiny Points?
Destiny Points are earned for the player by completing quests and generally waging war with the Monster Players in Ettenmoors. They can be used for special buffs and traits for your character as well as “per-session” buffs upon entering the Ettenmoors.

Will my weapons and armor take damage when I die in PvMP?
Your character’s items will not take damage when he or she is killed by a Monster Player. It is important to note however, that they will take damage if you are killed off by one of the many mobs patrolling the area. But worry not, for no matter who defeats you, revenge is only a few minutes away. You simply need to “rez” at a nearby respawn point and head back into the fray.

What about player character rewards, like items and other things of that nature?
Oh, they’re available. Destiny points and general partaking in Monster Play will help you acquire the necessary things needed for acquiring such rewards. I’ll leave it up to you to find out just what is available for your acquisition. Here’s a pick of some of the perks available, just to wet your whistle…

Is there anything else I need to know, before I go smiting the evil (or the good) of Middle-Earth?
Just remember to travel in packs, be you on the bad or the good side. A solo-player will likely be eaten up in the Ettenmoors, as most players go with the mob mentality when indulging in PvP. Secondly, remember that defeat is not permanent. If you fall in battle, all you need to do is run back to the fight, and give it another shot. No shame in being beaten. And lastly, remember to have fun. That’s what the game is about. Friendly competition, with the added perks of rewards from all your bloodshed.
