<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hola! Well I&#8217;m still on it. Kind of fell off over the weekend. WEl really i got a really bad cold and was unable to workout. I was definitely bummed. But no worries I&#8217;m back on and trying to stay focused. I was feeling a little down yesterday. I get a little impatient sometimes when i try to lose weight. Simply because I feel that I am working my BUTT OFF and the results are just not coming as fast as I would like. Plus I think I am sabotaging myself by stepping on the scale everyday. Not a good habit I must say. Anyway I&#8217;m not posting a picture yet. I may just wait till the end of this month.</p>
<p>I am scared about this month though because I have alot going on that does not involve working out. But in my mind I am determined to make it happen no matter what. Even with my trip to Atlanta next week. I&#8217;ll post pictures of how that turns out. I&#8217;m so excited about that. At the same time i am super scared that I am going to BINGE on all that good yummy food!!! But anyway, positive thoughts right. All I know is that I have to stay motivated. Which leads to what supplements did I take, what foods did I eat, how did I train?</p>
<p>The secret is so simple that you will be amazed, it&#8217;s one of those things that is so simple yet so difficult to do. I read a book a few years back that said &#8220;Success is a few simple disciplines repeated daily as Failure is a few simple errors in judgement repeated daily&#8221;.</p>
<p>The answer lies within that statement and as simple as that statement reads it&#8217;s probably the most difficult for people to do. Anything in life can be accomplished if we do the simple little things. From your relationship to work and yes to transforming your physique.</p>
<p>After my last show in March this year I asked my trainer what foods should I eat to bulk up? Now after 3 shows and 2.5 years of training and dieting you&#8217;d think I would know that answer right? It was his next statement that was profound and he stated it this way, &#8220;just eat the same foods you diet on just more of it. Now, it just requires DISCIPLINE.&#8221; That is when I got my ah ha moment, the light clicked. That is all it is DISCIPLINE! Something so easy yet so difficult to do. There is a time during a competitors life when he nears a show that the initials T &#38; A mean something, no, not what you think but Tilapia and Asparagus. That is probably the most common food combination to prepping for a show.</p>
<p>So really the nutrition part is pretty simple, the foods you eat to have a nice toned physique with some abs is not quite that difficult so it comes down to being <a href="http://youtu.be/ja-fnhE5plE" target="_blank">disciplined</a> enough to do it! Now when it comes down to the <a href="http://iamcombat.com/Store.html" target="_blank">training</a> part for the average non competitor it&#8217;s pretty simple and the options in this fitness revolution craze are amazing. <p>Now let&#8217;s touch on the diet for a moment. See DISCIPLINE also applies here because you need to be willing to prep your food in advance and have it with you so that you can eat every 3 hours even if you don&#8217;t want to eat. There is a reason as to why eat small meals and eat them frequently. Most people have this misconception that eating healthy is expensive, eating healthy out is expensive but prepping your food at home is not. I eat 6-7 meals per day, 8-10oz protein and 6-8oz carbs. My total cost per meal is around $5 per meal. On any given weekend one can choose to go to a club, a bar or just out, and that night can easily run you a minimum of $100. Take this past weekend, Cinco de Mayo, the Mayweather Cotto fight; if you went out how much did you spend? Exactly, so we have the money we just CHOOSE to spend it on other things not ourselves, well our well being. What good does it do to dress in nice clothes, drive nice cars live in a nice home if at the end you feel like crap. I was watching The Ellen show when Mario Lopez was on and he was asked to take his clothes off, he was embarrassed but he did. Underneath he had a toned, muscular body with great abs. Now if that was you, would you? Most likely NO because the physique you currently have you are ashamed of. So if you do want that physique then get after it. I don&#8217;t care where you are currently at, it doesn&#8217;t matter, start today, choose NOW. I am training <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Calus89" target="_blank">Carlos</a>, he started at 389lbs, I began working with him at 270lbs he&#8217;s now at 259lbs and making daily progress. He is not stopping until he has his six pack, and then it will be a lifestyle and he will never stop.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll close by saying that I started at 38 years old, 265lbs wife left me no job and a 1 year old daughter. As my physique began to change I began to feel better about myself, got hired at Chase as a VP and began to compete in Men&#8217;s Physique. I then had a full time job, single dad and preparing for a show! I am just an average guy that decided that I needed to change my physique. <p>On the training end believe it or not training can be done in so many different ways to meet so many different goals or needs. A fitness competitor trains for esthetics (looks) unlike an MMA fighter trains for power, strength and endurance. Most females and some males want to be toned not too much muscle so body weight training with cardio is plenty to get desired results. Body weight training will provide enough muscle to burn fat, as muscle is needed.<br />

<p>On the nutrition side our bodies are designed to live off of fruits, greens and nuts, that&#8217;s all. However we all know that we feed our bodies everything but that. That can explain why we get hungry pretty quick and are our bodies are not satisfied when we eat everything other than fruits, greens and nuts. So what do we do?
