Ach da ist es ja Lange gesucht und endlich gefunden. Ich sollte meine Bilder besser sortieren und taggen. Ich fand die Idee ziemlich genial. Das ganze befindet sich an der Promenade hier in Brighton und ist direkt neben dem Eingang zu einer Kunstgalerie. Hab leider nie die Gelegenheit gehabt ein Foto ohne Auto davor zu machen.

When I was running in the early 80s, a kind of cold focus would come over me. The centre of the thing was that you were on your own. Perhaps when you started out you didn’t feel particularly well; or–more often–your life was chaotic & unproductive; or–most often–you were angry with yourself & everyone else. But after a mile or two in the wind, with the first long lift out of the way & the back of your own reluctance broken, this moment of focus would occur. It was a little like tilting your head to one side & measuring everything; it was like collecting yourself before you make some major decision. It was taking aim. Once you had taken aim, you could spill yourself back down the hill, mile after mile, & the worse the weather was the better.

This morning I was jogging on the river trail between S. Meridian and S. Portland when I saw this cat drinking from the river. It was really pretty so I took a picture. I knew that it must not be a stray because of its size (there’s no way a cat can grow that huge just eating trash and field mice). I approached it to see if it had a collar. It didn’t. I decided that I’d better put it in the back seat of my Honda civic so it wouldn’t run into the road and get hit by a car, and so I could find its owner. I tried the; “here kitty kitty” routine to little avail, then I remembered that I had some groceries in the trunk so got out a piece of raw beef to use as a lure. I opened the drivers side back door, got the cats attention, and put the meat on the back seat. When the cat climbed in I shut the door behind it. That’s when it started tearing the inside of my car apart. My first instinct was to try to drive home but, after seeing what it did to the headrest I can’t imagine what to would do to my actual head. This cat is very mean! I don’t know if it just doesn’t like Hondas or what…

As I said in the title the cat is tan in color with black ears. I think It’s female but it won’t hold still long enough for me to get a good look through the windows of my car.

If this description fits your cat then you are welcome to come and get it and pay for the damage to my car. The cat is still in the car at the parking lot near the river cruise dock on the corner of S. Meridian Ave. and SW 15th St. It’s the grey Honda that’s shaking violently.

i’m pooped! shopping and chatting and  scrapping and downloading, damn, this is some kind of sport.

the results of this weekend? only 5 stores, 9 designers, 15 kits/packs, 3595 MB’s total and i’m actually not done. can you believe that?? there is only one store left i need to rampage but i think i’m gonna wait till the next sale. i sure won’t scrap with the stuff even if i buy them now or later, so i better wait for another sale. for now, i’m stuck with downloading for at least a week. yeah, you read that correctly, a week!
i also won a few coupons so that made it even easier on my wallet credit card *huge grin* (hehe special thanks Carly and ofcourse SBG!)

a few of my MUST-HAVES were Old Town by Joe Designs, Santa Cruzy by Creashens, Urban Madness by Ida (i almost forgot about this one, luckily i was browsing the store instead of going straight to my wishlist) and sussieM’s part of Old World. there was one thing that wasn’t on my list, but happened to win it, is the Grab Bag by Gypsy Couture. now that was a real treat, my mouth started watering just looking at the textures, glitter and colors of it. i’m not on her team (hint LOL) but i highly recommend it and give it a ten thumbs up!
