Vacuum cleaners are a household necessity. Though these only became affordable to the middle class at the end of the Second World War, studies have shown that almost each home in the United States has one to help clean the home.

One company that has competed well with others in the market is Eureka. Though not many people know the old name, people are more familiar with Electrolux that is believed to capture 25% of the world’s household appliance market.

In some countries, Electrolux agents are sent house to house, vacuum cleaner, to conduct a free demonstration in the hopes that the customer will buy the product. The company considers this to be an excellent,, vacuum cleaner, vacuum cleaner, strategy since the other competitors mainly rely on having the product distributed in a store.

There have been a lot of improvements that people can find in buying a Eureka vacuum cleaner.

One, the user doesn’t need to buy replacement bags anymore when a lot of dirt has already been connected in the machine. This is because this has been replaced with a cup that can, vacuum cleaner, be taken out and the contents are thrown in the trash so this can be used again.

Next, the handle is looped and not straight that a lot of companies are still using. This new design allows the vacuum cleaner to be used by anyone regardless of age. This also provides better control allowing the person to use this in hard to, vacuum cleaner, reach places making sure all the dirt has be removed.

Another feature in the Eureka vacuum cleaner is that it has great suction power. Even if the machine bought only has a 3 or 8 amp motor, it is still able to do the same job done by a bigger and stronger appliance. This allows it to take away dirt, dust and animal hair wherever it may be.

Some machines tip over when this is pulled toward the user. The Eureka has also been tested which prevents this from happening, vacuum cleaner, .

Filters are still needed in the vacuum cleaner. Those on the Eureka can be brushed or washed a few times before the individual will have to buy a new one to replace it. Those who are concerned about the price don’t have to worry since it won’t cost an arm, vacuum cleaner, or a leg since this is just under $10.

If people want quality, the person should choose a brand that has served the consumer well through the years such as the vacuum cleaners produced by Eureka.

Ideal-Candidate Profile

You don’t have the time or the resources to evaluate every applicant who strolls in. to guide your w

You don’t have the time or the resources to evaluate every applicant who strolls in. to guide your work, you should develop a profile of your “ideal” candidate. You may never find your ideal, but you will establish a basic framework that outlines the person you are looking for.

Developing an ideal candidate profile is similar to viewing a lineup of suspects after you’ve witnessed a bank robbery. The individual you pick out may not be the actual bank robber, but chances are the real criminal is strongly similar. Often, a lineup helps police establish the silhouette or basic framework of the person being sought. The police is clear even if the details are not. Likewise, your ideal candidate profile will give you a sharper idea of what you are really looking for, so that you can increase your odds of finding him or her.

Use the following outline to develop of profile of your ideal candidate:

Must have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Skills or talents

Education

Should have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Education

Would be nice to have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Skills or talents

Education

Be specific when you draft your outline. If you want someone with strong follow-up skills, say so. If you want an assertive person who can handle high stress, say so. To create a good match between job and candidate, you need to define the person as closely as you define the job.

Keep your company culture in mind, too. If your company is team-oriented and flexible, you want a candidate who is comfortable with teamwork—and not everyone is. If your department is highly structured, you want someone who works well in a structured situation. Describe the qualities that your company values so that you can find compatible candidates.

Just remember that defining the candidate is a lot like shopping for groceries: the more you toss into your shopping cart, the more you’ll pay. The cost of filling a job is influenced by two factors: how long it takes to find the candidate, and the supply of qualified candidates. The greater the number of must have items on your list, the longer it’s going to take to find that person. The greater the experience, skills, or education requirements, the smaller the supply of candidates and the larger the compensation package required to hire the person.

The Housewife

——————————————-

There’s a few different brands of mobile spytools out there to choose from, but none of them are as flexible or powerful as the company Flexispy. The main reason for this is because as a trucker you will always be on the road and without access to your wife’s phone. So having remote capabilities are of imperative importance.

Flexispy allows you to activate settings literally from anywhere on earth there is a mobile connection. An internet connection is only required to set up the software. When phone activity is recorded to the main server you have an option to relay the information to your email, which in turn can be relayed one more time to your mobile phone. So this is a truly closed system with full remote surveillance capabilities. On some versions you even have the ability to remove the software altogether by sending a special command. Virtually all commands can be sent by SMS text to control functions once installation has been completed.

Using the phone which is to be monitored, simply point the phone’s internet browser to the download site and the download begins automatically. The download takes a couple of minutes and once its completed simply restart the phone. After the installation has been completed you will have to setup the software. To do this just enter the secret code into the phone’s keypad and the screen will come up. At this point look for the monitor number setting and simply enter your phone number, after this point all call information as well as SIM card change notification will be sent to your personal mobile phone.

That’s pretty much it to actually get the software working, now all you have to do is choose which package from Flexispy will suit you best.

We’re gonna be doing our thing at the Heavy Pets’ van complete with a crazy sound system, lazers, and a fog machine. Their van has some cool Heavy Pets artwork painted all over it and it also has a killer sound system so get ready to dance! I’ve been working with the Heavy Pets for awhile now and I’m pretty stoked to be able to kick it with them in the Philly lot. Jen Web and some other Funtown hoopers will be doing their thing on a nice little platform while we light up the lot. I scored some pretty sweet last minute lower level Phish tickets so I’ll probably have some nice photos for ya’ll a little later. Have fun and stop by if you are gonna be at the show!

Ok, kids…we’re back and we’re in the midst of Phall Ter! What better time to join us on lot?

We’re joined by our very special ginger friend Kat. She’s here to share all her great stories about the Work Exchange Program at Fest8 and who she got to meet before the festival began.

With some more current Phish lot news, we turn to Steve and Kat who were holding it down in Syracuse on Sunday night. Great lot, great vibe, great Mexican Grilled Cheese. Listen to hear what Steve rates this lot…although since when do we have a rating system? “This lot gets 6 out of 10 Brahs.”

Nick, Steve, Laura, and Kat discuss fluctuating ticket prices along tour and how phans all live by different moral codes when it comes to paying face or not. Is it a shady move to try to profit off tickets? Would you buy from someone on lot even if the show isn’t sold out? Tell us your Ticket Moral Code!

After the break, which features our great sponsor, Olker’s Wine Bar: Supporting his Phish Habit Since Syracuse, we have a little bit of news for you! The Bridge, an up and coming (not really…) jam band from Baltimore is playing free shows every Monday in December in NYC. Also, free beer and vodka. Nick is right when he laments “Well, if that’s not an open invitation to wooks…!”

Last but not least, we have a winner!! Listen to the podcast to hear if you won the MSG ticket give away. Thanks to everyone that entered.

Now…who has MSG tickets for Kat and Laura? We’ll wear glitter and fairy wings!

Abram had one mission – to save Lot from the armies that took him captive. However when that mission is complete, we see that much more was accomplished than the saving of one individual. We see that by saving one person, we can save an entire city of people.

I am of the belief that Abraham prefigured many people and entities in the scriptures. Thus I feel that the concept of salvation, is at least in part represented by Abraham’s actions in this story. As Abraham was told he would have many descendants, I feel that those of us who take part in leading someone to God and Christ will have many spiritual descendants. And so our spiritual descendants can become as numerous as the dust of the earth and the stars of the sky – because like a natural family, the process continues after we pass away.

Who has been born into the family of God through us? Are we a spiritual father or mother to anyone? I’m sure if our spiritual descendants are revealed to us on that great day, just like at our earthly family reunions, we will meet relatives we didn’t even know we had.

The suggestion for today was to try and save water and electricity by remembering to turn off the light switch, a power point, a tap, etc. Because we forget these things the book suggests making stickers to place next to a light switch for example.

This is a somewhat simple solution to a possibly costly memory issue, in that forgetting to flick a switch/turn off a tap costs money by way of the bill, as well as costing more in terms of environmental costs.

I have found myself being far more efficient in these areas in the last little while and hardly ever forget to turn off a light when not needed, turn off a tap when brushing teeth, etc. It did however take a lot of self-discipline and I can see how stickers/post-it’s, etc, can be handy for some people.

“When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.” Gen. 14:14

Abram seems quite ambitious here. There were four kings and their armies that just defeated and subdued five other kings and their armies, and Abram plans to rescue his newphew Lot, who was taken captive during the battle. Six peoples in all Chedarlaomer and the other kings and their armies defeated even before they got to the main battle: The Rephaim (who were believed to be giants), the Zuzim, the Emim, the Horites, the Amalakites and the Amorites were all just in the way of Chedarlaomer before they faced the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah. We must stop and wonder why Abram got involved in this fight – was it worth risking his life (and the lives of those with him) just to rescue Lot and his family? I mean after all, God had just given Abram these wonderful promises but said nothing about violence and fighting. There is the possibility that Lot was specifically chosen as a prisoner, as Abram may have been known as a wealthy man who could have paid a ransom. In any case apparently Abram felt Lot was worth the risk.

Abram was not completely alone of course – the scriptures tell us he took 318 trained men to fight with him. This does not sound like many, however the Midrash points out that 318 is the numeric equivalent of the name “Eliezer”, a name which means “God is my help”. Also interestingly, one of Abram’s 318 men is named Eliezer of Damascus – Abram voices his concern to God that Eliezer of Damascus will be his heir since he is childless (Gen. 15:2) though God of course informs Abram that he will have a son as the heir.

So what do we make of this? Some scholars say that only two men went in to fight – Abram and Eliezer (representing the 318 with his name), or that Abram went alone, and the 318 represented that God was his help. Do we consider the possibility that Eliezer was somehow God incarnate? It would seem an odd fit, but perhaps this is the case. One of my Torah commentaries also points out that if you add together all the prime numbers between 7 and 49 (7 x 7) that you arrive at 318. There is no doubt there is much symbolism in Genesis and other parts of scripture involving the number seven, but I do not know if that is significant to the story here. My opinion is that if the interpretation is useful to understanding the story, and glorifies God, then it is sufficient.

My position is that there were 318 actual men that went out to fight, as scripture goes out of its way to tell us that these men were A) trained, and B) born in Abram’s house. We would not expect such details to be mentioned if we were only speaking symbolically of God’s help. Regarding Eliezer of Damascus, I believe he was also an actual man of Abram’s household, as God said of him “This man will not be your heir…” (Gen. 15:4) Again, this conversation would not have taken place if Eliezer was not a real person. This does not completely rule out that Eliezer may have been an incarnation of God, only that even if that were the case, there were 318 actual men fighting.

I do believe that there is an intended significance that 318 men were taken; that Eliezer = 318, and that Eliezer means “God is my help”. I can believe this without believing the other speculations above because, quite simply, God is God and knows how to weave significance into His story. I believe this is an early picture showing us as believers that we can accomplish great things and win great battles when God is on our side. This is underscored by two things: 1) in Genesis 15:1, right after this battle, God tells Abram “I am a shield to you.” Also note that the other five armies, despite preparing for war (while the other armies were already expending energy fighting) and despite choosing their own turf as a battleground (Gen. 14:3), which should have offered a great advantage, the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah and their armies still lost the battle and fled for their survival.

And so this passage exists to tell us that if God is our help, and we have the correct intentions, we can still emerge victorious despite being vastly outnumbered. This is in contrast to the five kings and their armies, who probably outnumbered their enemies but still lost on their own turf because God was not with them. Gen. 13:13 tells us of the exceeding wickedness of the men of Sodom, and even the names of their kings speaks volumes: Bera (king of Sodom) means “with evil” or “son of evil” and Birsha (king of Gomorrah) means “with wickedness” or “with iniquity”.

Q: In what way was Lot righteous?
A: I have no idea. It’s a cruel kind of hospitality that protects his guests by jeopardizing his daughters.

If Lot was truly grieved by the debauchery around him, why on earth did he offer his daughters to be abused by the mob? I think he was a moral relativist, thinking it would be better to do evil to his daughters than to do evil to the strangers lodged in his house. He couldn’t see that he should avoid doing evil altogether and cling only to what is good.

His daughters were apparently relativists too. They thought it would be better to get their father drunk and commit incest than to let the entire human race die out. They had no faith, and I have to think they maybe had no knowledge of G-d’s redemptive plan for mankind. If they knew that, they would have known it was impossible for the entire human race to be wiped out in that moment of judgment on S’dom and ‘Amora.

The article “Righteous Lot” has an interesting take on Lot as a political reformer. I am not familiar with The Herald magazine, so my link to the article about Lot is not an endorsement of the magazine.

OK – this is a suggestion I’m all for. Wouldn’t the world be a so much better place with no terrorism? Certainly – now what can I do. I can be ‘alert, but not alarmed,’ as the Australian television add of a couple of years ago told me. But what more? Can terrorism be eliminated?

I doubt terrorism will ever be completely eliminated – but it would be great if it could be. We can certainly reduce it greatly and that too would be good.

The suggestion in the book ‘365 Ways to Change the World,’ by Michael Norton is a little disappointing here. Sure, I don’t agree with torture and unlawful detention, etc. However, the suggestion is a little too ‘polite’ toward terrorists for my liking. I have no time for terrorists and they need to be rooted out and, well, they will probably get hurt during the process – I don’t have a lot of sympathy for them I must admit.

The suggestion is for combating terrorism without the erosion of human rights while doing so. As I said – I don’t want to see human rights eroded. I also don’t want to see terrorists given soft treatment – they chose to forego that when they became terrorists in my book.

" href="http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/race/2009/11/is-sammy-sosa-whitening-his-skin.html">Sammy Sosa, the retired baseball star has recently admitted to using bleaching creams in order to, as he said “soften his skin.” A tragedy is defined as an event resulting in great loss and misfortune, a drama in which the principal character is overcome by some superior force or circumstances. In 1954, Dr. Kenneth Clark conducted an experiment using young black children and dolls; given a choice, the children preferred the doll that had light complexion in the majority of the cases. Sadly Mr. Sosa, who hails from the Dominican Republic and has had tremendous success as a star athlete and all the trappings of fame, appears to be saying that he too, chooses the light-colored doll to play with. (Below is a video that explores the issue in more recent times.)

The tragedy here is that not only does he lose his natural color, given to him at birth by a marvelous creator; he also seems to have been overcome by the forces of a world that continues to make some believe that white skin is not only better, but now softer. The Bible tells the story of the wife of the prophet Lot, whom having been directed out of the pathway of God’s judgment, looks back and is turned into a pillar of salt.

Does Sammy Sosa look back and wish he were born another color, is he salty at having been born a darker member of the human family? What experiences has he had that make him like that? As a professional athlete, one who was hailed for his on field performances, what did he feel, see, and hear that makes him desire to destroy God’s gift?

We recall the furor over Michael Jackson’s transformation as it played out, from young black man to one who at the close of his time on earth looked white. Yes, Michael is said to have suffered with the skin disease Vitiligo, the larger issue being that there was an issue. Was Michael trying to get away, not just from being black, but from black people, did he have surgery in order to make his facial features more acceptable to his audience?

Sadly, the use of bleaching creams is now in wide use in places like Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Trinidad, and yes the continent of Africa. In Europe, many have begun to bleach out the natural color in order to look lighter. Apparently, we have been eating the wrong food. We have consumed a diet rich in self-hatred, self-denial, self-loathing, and self-defeating attitudes.

On a recent trip, I observed a beautiful Asian woman, and the unique contours of her eyes, listened to Latinos in their interaction and celebrated the ability to communicate in more than one language. I took a wider look around, saw the beauty of the human family, and remembered the words to a song by the great Louis Armstrong, which celebrates the beauty and diversity of life, its richness and wonder. Here’s hoping that Sammy Sosa, and all who think like him, would reflect that indeed they help to make it a wonderful world, just the way they are.

I was in Farmville around lunchtime today so I stopped at Taco Bell to get my Cheesy Gordita Crunch on. You guys know I love these things, so when I pulled up to the drive through I already knew what I wanted. Two Cheesy Gordita Crunches with beans instead of beef and a large Mountain Dew. Now you Taco Bell eaters out there know that every single combo meal on that menu comes with some stupid throw away beef taco that no one wants, but we all try to eat reluctantly out of a desire to get our $7.49 worth out of the deal. So now imagine my amazement when I look at the menu and find a new combo with the exact menu items I was already planning to order for only $4.49. If this is what it means to be in a recession, sign me up. In other news, the bike trails that Davy, Nick, and I helped build in Farmville have been bulldozed and turned into commercial, retail, and industrial lots.

As we gear up to hit as many lots as possible on Phish Fall Tour, we’re coming at you with some random news from across the jam band scenes.

We just can’t seem to shake Fest 8, it’s haunting us like any good Halloween show should! Hidden Track published Best Costumes at Festival 8 and we just cannot disagree with the profoundly impeccable taste of one Mr. Scott Bernstein. Be sure to check out #6 and put some faces to the voices you hear every week!

In other Phish news, we have the most recent ticket prices for shows on Fall tour. From the absurdly cheap ($10?!?!) to the not so absurdly cheap, ticket prices are looking much different as Phish 3.0 rolls on.

We here at This Week on Lot are all about expanding our musical horizons. We’re always happy to hear new bands and pass the good ones your way. This week, we have the band Must Stash Hat for you to sample and explore. Check ‘em out!

As if Umphrey’s McGee didn’t have enough members in their band, their 3 day run at the Higher Ground in Burlington showcased 4 guest musicians. The most prominent guest, Mr. Micheal Gordon of the Phish from Vermont, sat in for a 16+ minute jam at his alleged favorite venue.

Update: Our friend and yours, Willie Pritts of the Church of Universal Love and Music is officially shut down in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Granted, we didn’t get the name of the establishment right in the podcast (we’re tired and Steve’s drinking vodka…give us a break!), we LOVE this place and wish Mr. Pritts the best of luck in finding a new venue for his congregation.

And last but not least, we need to start making our NYE plans. Will we have TWoL: Fiji? TWoL: Miami? TWoL: NYC? Well, we don’t have $4200 each so there goes Fiji. But maybe if we start saving now….?

Don’t forget to enter our MSG Phish ticket giveaway! We’ll see you on lot!

Sponsor for this this week is PhanArt.net. Be sure to stop by and tell them we sent you.

Our “Musical Shout Out” this week was Must Stash Hat. Check em out, they are from Canada, friend.
