Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion ($12-$32) is an ideal lightweight moisturizer that somehow manages to be superhydrating. My apologies, loyal readers, for slacking lately in my posting. Like most people, I’m finding less and less time to complete all the things I need to get done. Holiday get togethers and increased work hours mean less time to blog about beauty. Add a little illness and a blown transmission, and I have just not been as on top of things as I would like.

Obviously my past couple of weeks have been bumpy, but in all of the stress and catastophre I have been pleasantly surprised by a body wash and lotion duo that I bought recently, simply because they were the first that I saw when I went to the drugstore.

Johnson’s Body Care Melt Away Stress Lavender and Chamomile Relaxing Body Wash and Lotion both come  in a pleasant light purple bottle and are lightly perfumed with a  lavender scent. The body wash is creamy and moisturizing and the lotion absorbs quickly and leaves skin silky. Every night I rub some on my feet right before bed, and maybe it’s all in my head, but I really do feel the stress melt away.

Thank goodness for simple pleasures.

With the weather going cold (then hot!) I’ve been having extremely dry skin. Which is why I’m so glad to have found these:

I do find that lotions can be a tedious thing (there’s a lot to cover—so sue me.) But that they smell so good, I made it into a habit. Notice the tiny one (it came free with the 24-hour variant,) it goes into my bag. The 24-hour variant I discovered when I had a trip to Anvaya Cove, so it will always make me think of sunlight, golf carts and just the tall tall trees and enormous skies of that weekend. And I already liked how it smelled (I’m thinking it’s the Shea butter which smells great and amkes it work)  Except when I tried the Melt Away Stress Daily Calming Lotion (I’m really an anxious person,) I couldn’t stop smelling myself. It’s fabulous scent comes from what they call AROMASOOTHE (yes, i know. but it’s a trademark!) but it’s a combination of lavender and moonflower. I loved the moonflower line of Body Shop so this was just incredible. They’re not cheap, but I think they’re worth their P250 ceiling.

Speaking of Body Shop scents, they released something called Love Etc. which of course just drew me in. And it smells great! It’s about  P1250++. Read this for more information. I’m subscribing to the blog, there’s just enough obsession and self-deprecation for me!

I always seem to wax poetic about scents, and I’m genuine glad to have found these staples (such mood boosters!)—but I found something even better. Be back soon with that.

I was invited to be a teacher assistant of “Lotion Making Workshop” at The Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. The class went very well. The class started at 10am.  My friend explained about what are the ingredients and how to make.  We devided participant into 6 groups/4 each to make their own lotion.

I show them how to mix oil and water while my friend is telling each process. It seemed like everybody is happy with their own lotion making.

I didn’t have chance to take many pictures during the class as I was busy helping participant making lotion. There are 23 people joined this workshop. At the end of the class, we showed them how to make a lip balm with shea butter. We gave them free natural soaps and played game together. My friends made their own soap and lotion from home and gave people including hotel staffs,too. I am very impress with the service of the hotel. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend people stay at this hotel
