Daca nu ti-ai dat seama …sunt racita…de 4 zile.ORIBIL.Dar cel putin nu merg la scoala.Tusesc non-stop si stranut in restul timpului(nu are logica dar intelegeti voi).Dar e atat de bine in pat..e mereu cald,plus ca am butonat telecomanda atat de mult incat ma mir ca nu am ramas fara baterii.Asa se intampla cand NU ai la ce sa te uiti.zero,nada,nimic!!!Nici macar la desene,care sunt o porcarie..si ce porcarie.Dar,daca le plac copiilor de ce sa nu profiti scotand pe piata tot felul de papusi si jocuri inspirate din desene.De ce nu erau papusi cu louie???Sau cu Jack Piratul Cel Teribil???hmm…sau cu Bobby?Sau daca erau,erau foarte rare.Acum gasesti la tot pasul papusi cu Hannah Montana.Totusi, imi placeau atat de mult…daca nu atunci,acum sigur imi plac.Le duc dorul!!Erau atat de frumoase:fara batai,fara bad guys…relaxed and friendly..Tin minte ca odata l-am convins si pe tata sa se uite cu mine o saptamana intraga la desene.Apoi nu s-a mai uitat,cu toate ca mi-a zis ca ii placeau.Ce pacat ca nu mai sunt la tv;farmecul dispare cand te uiti pe YouTube la ele.Ah gata!Din cauza racelii devin melancolica si nu e sanatos.

Everyone that lives in Boston has seen Louie. Tricycle Louie is a Boston staple. He’s always riding around in circles and most of us have no idea what’s going on or what he’s doing.

What a beautiful wedding! Katie and Louie got married in Mesquite, NV and had quite the crowd attend for a nice little vacation in Las Vegas. Check out their video! Girls… I think you will like it!

From Kathy at Pet Rescue: They are closing down after almost 30 years of service due to a lack in funds!!

To all of my dedicated dog loving crossposters:
You have all (and I can’t even begin to count how many of you there are) helped me place some really special older dogs, that had lived many, many , many years at our no-kill shelter. We have seen Duke, Dustin, Duffy, Kurt and Millie, Freddie, Alexis and Diesel, all over age 8, most over age 10, find forever homes in the last years of their lives. I have one more bonded pair that I need help with, and this will be the biggest challenge yet. My special pair have lived 11 years at the shelter, one having lost her leg to cancer 5 years ago. Please meet Ginger and Louie. They have lived together in their kennel for 11 years. Ginger is a 13 yo female mixed pittie who only has 3 legs and Louie is her beau, a beautiful German Shepherd mix who is also a senior at 12 yo. They are loving dogs that have always been picked over but never picked. They have seen hundreds of dogs come and go since 1998 when they first arrived at Pet Rescue Miami. They love each other, but not other dogs and their hearts would be broken if they were to be separated. You would think a dog with three legs would be at a disadvantage,but not Ginger. You should see her dig with one leg in the middle of the yard to find herself some cool dirt to lie down in. And Louie, what a big kisser and at age 12 he still relishes in a hearty game of fetch. They both love to walk on the leash and Ginger tries to keep up with Louie, but when she can’t, she just lies down and rolls over for the belly rubs, which she knows are coming her way ! The two are quite a pair and there will be no end to the tears of joy if these two could live out their lives in an air conditioned, loving home, made just for the two of them. I know this is a tall order, but we have met many challenges. Please post their pix far and wide and hope we can work another miracle for Louie and Ginger. It’s 1995 and I’m scared out of my mind.
As much as I’m scared, I can’t stop watching.
There’s something about the character on the screen that’s not letting me look away.
Is it the eyes? They’re almost clear, see-through, and they’re boring a hole into my soul.
Is it the hair? It’s long, thick, and falling graciously onto muscular shoulders.
Is it the mouth? So red, so moist, and turned into a pout…almost a kiss.
Is it the skin? So white almost like a porcelain doll. Perfect white skin.
I’m scared out of my mind but I can’t stop looking at Louie. He stands there fighting internally with who he is while his brother/creator, Lestat, torments him to give in to who he is.
It’s 1995 and I can’t take my eyes off of “Interview with the Vampire”.
I’m freaked out by the blood and the crazy actor vampires that Louie and Claudia encounter, but I can’t look away. I’m intrigued, fascinated, hooked. I wasn’t in Bon Temps, Louisiana, but I was definitely “glamoured”…and have been ever since.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock that’s located 10 feet below the ground, you know that Vampires are having a “Moment” right now. They are the genre du jour for all things books, movies, and TV shows…and I have to say, these vampires have me by the throat. I’m eating all this up like you would not believe.
As I type this, I’m listening to the wonderfully sad yet beautiful New Moon soundtrack.
I’ve read the Twilight series 4 times now.
I’ve seen Twilight, the movie, at least 50 times.
I’m attending the midnight showing of New Moon on Thursday, November 19 (1 month & 4 days!!).
I’m currently reading The Awakening, the first book in the Vampire Diaries series.
I’m addicted to the Vampire Diaries TV show.
I’m watching Season 1 of True Blood on DVD.
I’m looking forward to seeing Johnny Depp play a vampire in the upcoming movie adaptation of Dark Shadows. To see Johnny Depp place his lips on the smooth plains of a young lady’s neck. Perhaps that young lady has olive skin and likes to blog about pop culture………………….oh sorry, I got lost in my own thoughts for a minute there. What were we talking about again? Oh yes, vampires…

Many wonder why vampires are so popular.
What is the fascination?
I’ve asked myself that question a couple of times. Why vampires? Why have I become a vampire chick?
There are central themes to vampirism that resonate through each incarnation. In essence, vampires are everything we want to be (minus the whole blood thing). They are supernatural beings that posess every ideal that we secretly wish for.

Youthfulness
Whatever age they were when they were changed, that’s what they’ll be for the rest of their life. No medical issues brought on by age. No wrinkles. No sagging breasts. They are forever plump, tight, and beautiful.

Beauty
Most of the modern vampires are gorgeous (EDWARD CULLEN!). Gone are the days of Nosferatu and Dracula (although Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula had a foppish kind of handsome going on). They’re beautiful. And as much as we don’t want to be vain and self-centered, who doesn’t want to be considered beautiful by everyone….even our prey?

Living Forever
Death is a non-issue for our pale friends. Many people fear death and the unknown. Vampires are dead yet still live. It’s the best compromise. The best of both worlds.

Strength
Because vampires can’t die the way we do, they are essentially impenetrable. They have the strength of Hulk Hogan + The Terminator + Colossus in fashion model wrapping. Who doesn’t want that?

Their technique
When you think of a vampire, you think of sucking blood. While that act is pretty gross, think about where they’re sucking. Most likely, right now, you’re envisioning a vampire sucking the blood out of someone’s neck. Now change the picture a little. Instead of a vampire, imagine that it’s the “victim’s” lover. Now you’ve got a totally different scenario exciting other areas of your body. Let’s be honest. The neck is one of the most erogenous zones we’ve got. It’s a very sexy death move, if you ask me. (See my wandering thoughts regarding Johnny Depp above). You’ve got someone young, beautiful, and strong putting their lips to your neck. Before those fangs start digging, the last thing on your mind is death. You’re thinking pleasure, pleasure, pleasure. And THAT, my friends, is what’s so fascinating about vampires. They play with a dichotomy between pleasure and death.

So now that I’ve overanalyzed all things vampires, I present to you my favorite vamps. In no particular order…

Lestat, the mack daddy of vampires, & Louie, the vampire with a conscience.

Edward Cullen
I’ve never “fallen” for a fictional character before. I love me some Edward Cullen. (Plus, we all know how I feel about Robert Pattinson)
Count Von Count
I love his laugh! Ah! Ah! Ah!

Bill Compton
I’m still getting to know Bill but so far I’m loving him. He’s a Southern gentleman with a bite.
Damon Salvatore. He is my new favorite. He’s bad and sexy. Everything a vampire should be.

As of now, vampires are a staple in pop culture and I’m totally cool with that. As long as they’re running around in Forks, Bon Temps, and Mystic Falls, LaLocaLi will be glamoured.

A short on Louie Evans. If you ever lived in or visited Boston for a decent amount of time, you have most likely seen Louie riding his bike around.

Husky Alumni Band plays for tailgaters in SE parking lot.

Squad, pre-game huddle, chanting and swaying, getting all fired up!

Things were looking impossible at the football game last night: the UW Huskies were down 33-21 to the University of Arizona Wildcats with only about four minutes left to play in the game. Suddenly, with hands clasped in front of his face and then raised to the sky, the Husky Alumni Band trumpet player sitting next to me openly prayed aloud to the “Husky God” for a “miracle in our house.”  Sure enough, within the next ~1.5 minutes, the Huskies had scored 15 points and won the game. Actually, the four plays (pass, extra point kick, interception, two-point conversion)  which yielded those 15 points took only 18 seconds off the game clock.  ”Unbelievable!” screamed the 1.5″ headline in the Sunday Seattle Times.

Now it was really fun playing again in the Husky Alumni Band…lotsa good musicians having fun like the college kids we once were. “You Can Call Me Al,” “Louie, Louie,” “Gimme Some Lovin’,” “Johnny Q,” “Celebration” are just a few of the many songs we played before masses of people tailgaiting in various parking lots around Husky Stadium. And of course, “Victory” and “Bow Down to Washington” many times. Three vintage trumpeters, Dave, Dave, and Stan, showed me around and were especially fun to play with. I’ll be back for the Apple Cup against WSU on 28 November (Thanksgiving weekend), God willing!

Happy Stephen poses for photo's but privately he struggled with depression

This is a sad blog. One of my absolute teenage heart-thobs, Stephen Gately has died while on holiday aged just 33 years old. What happened? Stephen was enjoying a holiday in Majorca and after a night on the town went home to sleep it off but failed to wake up. Does this sound familiar? When Heath Ledger ‘failed to wake up’ people were quick to jump on the drug addict label but we subsequently found out that Heath was on a lot of prescription medication.

I know that Stephen had struggled with depression and he was involved in a lot of work recently with the Boyzone come-back and his own stage theatre career. If he was indeed taking a high dose of anti-depressants, maybe a few uppers to help his energy levels then a night on the lash with a lot of alcohol would have been a serious risk to his health. If he indeed die because of a tragic mixture of his antidepressants then I think this highlights the danger of these drugs. There are many forums and campaign groups from families who have been devestated in a similar manner because there is not enough information about these medications.

There are no confirmed reasons as to why this young man has lost his life at such a vibrant and fun time but my theory would be

a) prescription drug leading to heart failure

b) plain and simple cardiac arrest

c) choking on his own vomit

What are you theories? How could this have happened to someone? I really liked Stephen Gately. I had all his posters up all over my room when I was 12/13! I thought he was very talented.

U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert (TX-01)

Think Progress/Lee Fang—Led by Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-PA) last night, lawmakers convened for a special session of floor speeches urging a repeal of Don’t Act Don’t Tell. Rather than participate positively in the discussion, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) took to the floor to deliver a hate-filled response. Gohmert fired off a litany of attacks, calling the DADT repeal “perverse…social experimentation” and that soldiers are being “held hostage by a sociological attack.” His rant included a bizarre argument that the Matthew Shepard hate crimes bill would lead to a legalization of necrophilia, pedophilia, and bestiality. Later in the speech, after reading lengthy passages from the Bible against homosexuality, Gohmert said that taking away “moral teaching in America” would create a situation similar to that of Germany in the “1920’s and 1930’s” when a “little guy with a mustache” took over…
