Warner Bros. is going to reshoot some scenes from Louis Leterrier’s reboot of Clash of the Titans according to the LA Times.

According to Sam Worthington, the film’s star, “We’re going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it, they cut loose with some money so we can add to it.”

He went on to say, “We’re going to be shooting more scenes in January, so we’re going to be right up against it — the movie comes out in March.”

Lastly, he added, “There were some creaky parts but they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they’re talking about making the movie a 3D film.”

While nothing is confirmed about Worthington’s last comment in regards to turning Clash of the Titans into a 3D film, with Hollywood currently buzzing about the new technology that was pioneered in James Cameron’s Avatar, it could certainly be possible. All in all though these reshoots sound like they could be just the icing on the cake for what is already shaping up to be a tasty treat.

The first movie was a huge deal at least in the cereal isle way back meny years ago. It was impressive, stop motion and all. This should be should be even more so. the tone as would be expected is dark and gritty sorry Harry no pretty boys need apply Sam will take it from here

I posted many Clash of the Titans posters a while back when they showed up at one of those Film business shows. Now the first one has been officially released and the good folks of Total Film posted it. If you didn’t already know Medusa is in it and Perseus kills her!

Fúria de Titãs (Clash of the Titans) é um remake com lançamento no próximo ano, 2010. O original é de 1981. Perseu (Sam Worthington), filho de Zeus, é criado entre os humanos. Ele deve resgatar a princesa Andromeda, que está prometida para o filho de Thetis, líder das Nereidas. No meio do caminho Perseu acaba se apaixonando por Andromeda e aí o teatro está pronto para muito sangue, vinganças e um filme cheio de ação.

A direção está nas mãos de Louis Leterrier, o responsável pelo único filme do Incrível Hulk que conta, o de 2008.

Eu estou bastante animado. Sou fã de mitologia grega. Esse filme tem um pouco de 300 e um toque de Del Toro no visual. Não entendeu? Atenção ao 0:45 e você vai entender =D

The Clash of the Titans remake is still a long way off–it’ll be released in March 2010 and while I’ve no doubt it’ll pull some huge numbers, it remains to be seen whether it will live up to the 1981 classic.

The remake stars Sam Worthington, last seeing in Terminator: Salvation alongside Christian Bale. He takes on the role of the Pegasus-riding hero Perseus, who finds himself in the middle of warring gods–and brothers–Zeus and Hades, played by Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes respectively. Leading lady Gemma Arterton portrays Andromeda in what will be her first of two epics of 2010, the other being the video game based Prince of Persia with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Little is being said about the intricacies of the Titans plot, but I think that the tagline, ‘Titans Will Clash’ provides an admittedly simplistic but probably pretty decent summation of what we can expect.

Apparently Titans Will Clash in this new epic trailer of Clash of the Titans. It looks decent, but this type of emocore The Used music is unnecessary for this kind of film. I also think they showed too much special effects and didn’t save enough for the film. I wish they kind of hid more of what’s to come and changed the tag line. El primero de estos videos es el de la película Kick-Ass, obra independiente dirigida por el director de Stardust, película que a mí me gustó bastante (sobre todo a la hora de ver a Robert de Niro hacer de pirata gay), Matthew Vaughn. La cinta, que se estrenará a partir de 2010 en las salas de cine, resulta de la adaptación del cómic homónimo de Mark Millar y cuenta la historia de un chavalote que un buen día decide convertirse en superhéroe. Así, sin mas… como diría Forrest Gump.

Por otra parte, hoy también ha aparecido el primer teaser trailer de Furia de Titanes (Clash of the Titans). La cinta, dirigida por Louis Leterrier (El increible Hulk) y estará protagonizada por, el cada vez más solicitado, Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation, Avatar…). La obra es la adaptación libre de la leyenda mitológica de Perseo, hijo de Zeus, padre de los dioses griegos. Perseo y su madre, Dánae, son encerrados en un cofre por Acrisio, su abuelo, y arrojados al mar. Arrastrados por la corriente llegan a la isla de Sérifos, donde Perseo alcanza la madurez. Allí tendrá conocimiento de la misión de su vida y emprenderá un viaje alucinante, en el que tendrá que ir superando duras pruebas. Sinopsis: Cuando el gobernador de Argos decide sacrificar a su hija y a su nieto Perseo, el dios Zeus (que es el padre del niño) decide salvarles y arrasar la ciudad. Al conocer la noticia, Zeus ordena a otros dioses que ofrezcan algunos regalos mágicos a su hijo para protegerle. Así, Perseo, que ha conocido a un viejo actor de teatro, encuentra una mañana una prodigiosa espada, capaz de cortar la piedra, un casco que le hace invisible, o un escudo que le proteja de cualquier daño. Con ellos se dirije a la cercana ciudad de Joppa, sobre cuya princesa pesa una maldición.

Here it finally is the new trailer for the Clash of the Titans remake by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk). It looks pretty awesome so far to me and I must say I get pretty pumped for new fantasy movies. There just aren’t enough out there! As you can see this looks nothing like the original having a much darker tone to it. So far I’d say the effects look pretty good too. I’ve high hopes for this one-what do you think?

Let’s not forget the original either though…

Voici donc la bande-annonce du nouveau Clash Of The Titans, le remake d’un film que vous avez forcement vu un jour, vu qu’il est passé une bonne cinquantaine de fois sur M6, et qui raconte la guerre faisant rage entre les Dieux et que seul Perseus peut empêcher de voir dégénérer en Enfer sur Terre.

Liam Neeson est Zeus, Ralph Fiennes est Hades et Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator Renaissance) campe un Perseus visiblement tout en sueur et crasse. Il y a aussi des scorpions géants et des méchants monstres. Cool. Faut dire que ça passe encore mieux en mode plein écran sur un téléviseur HD de 107 cm.

No post abaixo falei de um remake que não deveria acontecer, agora conto sobre um que felizmente vai acontecer. Estou falando de Fúria de Titãs (Clash of the Titans), remake da animação stop-motion de 1981.

A Warner Bros divulgou o primeiro teaser trailer do filme, recheado de cenas de ação, boa trilha sonora e claro o astro do filme, Sam Worthington. Assista abaixo:

Pelo jeito será um grande filme, logo no começo dá para ver um pedaço da Medusa e outros grandes monstros aparecem, com certeza o grande destaque serão os efeitos especiais. Fúria de Titãs é uma produção da Legendary Pictures, que fez grandes  filmes, como Batman- O Cavaleiro das Trevas e 300.

Na trama  Sam Worthington (Exterminador do Futuro 4, Avatar) é Perseu, filho de filho de Zeus (Liam Neeson) que foi criado entre os homens comuns, sua família mortal é morta por Hades (Ralph Fiennes), o deus do inferno. Perseu reúne um grupo de aliados, formados por guerreiro Draco (Mads Mikkelsen), rei tornado fera Acrisius (Jason Flemyng) e a a guia espiritual Io (Gemma Arterton). Juntos eles terão que a missão de salvar a Princesa Andrômeda (Alexa Davalos) e derrotar Hades.

O roteiro foi escrito por John Glenn e Travis Wright e a direção será de Louis Leterrier (A Liga Extraordinária.
