Weight – 139lbs

Day 2 was tough! I guess partly because I didn’t have much low fat yoghurt in the fridge, which is always a good fallback either on its own or in various recipes, usually with oatbran. And I didn’t have a trusty pack of ham to nibble on either, which normally helps get me through the odd hunger pang.

And what really didn’t help is when the fella came back from visiting his parents and hadn’t eaten and was desperate for pizza, instead of the planned sea bass waiting in the fridge! Arrrrgh. So while he ate Papa Johns, I distracted myself with a bit of tidying. I did pick at the meat on top of his pizza, which helped with the cravings….

It didn’t help that it had been another disastrous day in the kitchen – what’s wrong with me at the moment?

Breakfast

2 poached eggs.

I use those little silicon poachers , Poach Pods I think they’re called. And accidentally filled one of the poachers with water when then were in the pan. Egg #1 was therefore half the size it should have been. Ah well. Aside from that, ‘cooked to perfection’ as they say on Masterchef…..

Lunch

chicken ‘curry’

Or so I hoped. Have planned 2 chicken breast fillets for lunch, I wanted to do something a little bit interesting. The lack of food in my fridge made it difficult and I ended up making a curry from Cayenne Pepper and yoghurt. It was disgusting. I ate it.

‘Supper’

Supper in inverted commas as it was supposed to be my lunch for the next day, but was instead another cooking cock up. Two salmon fillets baked in the oven with lemon and soy. Forgot about it, left it in there for 25mins! Now, hot overcooked salmon is preferrable to cold overcooked salmon, so I ate one of the fillets. This was also disgusting.

Snack

One good thing of the day was the biscuit made from oatbran, chocolate powder and milk, the chocolate melts made from chocolate powder, skimmed milk powder and water, and of course, the hot chocolate. More on these recipes and the best ingredients to use at a later date.
