Tok en økt med Sara på banen i dag; kombinasjon lange tøyler og longering. Hun går veldig pent på begge hender, dog noe stivere på høyre enn venstre. Holdt på en halvtimes tid til sammen, hovedsaklig med overganger skritt-trav-skritt-holdt-trav. Vi er fremdeles amatører når det gjelder lange tøyler, men på slutten greide hun faktisk å trave en hel langside i mitt normale gå-tempo! Flinkeste jenta mi!

Bregoen var bare innom stallen en liten tur for en kjapp puss (både norsk og svensk versjon sådan).

Må forøvrig nevne at jeg er superfornøyd med det nye regndekkenet til Sara! Det ligger som støpt, gnager ikke og blir ikke skjeivt i noen retning – ikke er det for langt i skjørtene heller. Virkelig flott! Det spørs om jeg ikke skal selge et av de andre dekkenene og heller kjøpe enda et av denne modellen gitt.

Some of the prominent names based out of Mumbai are Reliance Industries, L&T, HDFC and SBI.

Also, out of the market capitalisation ascribed to Maharashtra which has the highest market capitalization among the states — more than 90% originates from Mumbai.

In fact, Mumbai and six other cities account for 85.71% of the total market capitalisation of BSE 500.

With Delhi NCR (National Capital Region, which includes satellite cities such as Gurgaon and Noida along with the capital) contributing 27.82%.

After the financial and political capitals, state capitals take the fore.

Bangalore lays claim to 7.10%,

Hyderabad to 4.86% and Kolkata accounts for 3.83%,

while Ahmedabad and Chennai account for 3.35% and 2.47%, respectively.

On a state-wide basis, five states in combination with Delhi NCR and Maharashtra account for 94.20% of the total market cap.

A total of 66.17% of the index’s market cap can be traced to Maharashtra and Delhi NCR.

While the latter accounts for 38.35%, Delhi accounts 27.82%.

Karnataka accounts for 7.74%, Gujarat, 7.48%, Andhra Pradesh is at 4.95% and Tamil Nadu at 4.02%, while Bengal has 3.83%.

Though the big Indian companies have a pan-India presence with factories or plants located across the country, they tend to have registered offices in metros.

That is because of the ease of operations and presence of other corporate houses, suggested the study.

As the Indian economy keeps evolving, tier-2 and tier-3 cities may catchup gradually, to bring-in more equitable distribution of wealth across the country.”

But its weekend!!! And I have Monday off. WOOHOO! It’s the little things, I know.

A client came in today at my work and I noticed that he laughs for way too long at his own jokes. We’ll be in a discussion, he’ll make a not-at-all funny joke and then crack up laughing… and laughing… and continue to laugh some more.

I give the obligatory chuckle to the crapness of the joke but sorry, that’s all I can do. And yet he carries on laughing, until it’s just him and silence. Why hasn’t he realised he’s an over-laugher?

The work colleague next to me, went through the same thing. They started talking, laughing began and my work colleague just stared at him. We both gave each other a “what the feck” look while waiting for the client to finish his hysterics.

Bizarre.

You don’t want to be that person but we all have been at some point in our awkward, less than perfect lives…

You know,

-    That A-Hole who forgets to turn off their cell phone and it rings during a groom’s wedding speech.

-    Having a tickle in your throat and beginning to cough during a small, intimate theatre production.

-    Crying during a movie, in the cinema on your first date.

-    Being the nose sniffer during a crucial final exam. You can feel the people around you, staring, sighing, wishing an asteroid would land on your face.

-    Falling asleep during a work meeting. Not necessarily “full on” sleeping but your eyes are opening and closing at an abnormally slow pace.

-    Tripping as you walk into a house party… or a club.

-    Talking exceptionally loud at a party because the music is blasting but then it suddenly turns off. You’re still talking at that volume. Here, it never really matters what you’re actually saying, it’s always embarrassing. But usually whatever you are saying… is embarrassing.

-    Eating something and it’s so hot you have to spit it out. Only to look around and realise you’re in company.

I suppose we can take comfort to know that we’re not alone. It happens to everybody… unless it doesn’t and it’s just me! Oh no! Oh no! Don’t say it to be true!

Yesterday I drove past a middle-aged fat man, sitting in a bakkie, wearing no shirt and a Santa’s hat.

Today I arrived at work and Boney M was blaring from the office.

Christmas is upon us…. you’ve been warned.

I really wanted to do a musician… um, for my GIWKOB post… and thought; “Hey, this will be easy…” but when I started searching it turned out: Uh, it wasn’t so easy.

The thing is, most musicians look as sexy as hell when they’re up on stage, singing, jamming, playing guitar with sweat dripping off them… in that hot, “I really want you” kind of way.

But when you’re looking for a photograph of them… it turns out, a lot of them aren’t the sex symbols you see when you’re at the concert…. a couple 100 metres away.

Shallow? Yes. Fickle? Of course. But this is a competition and all I have is a picture to work with.

Anyway, not wanting to deviate from my “theme” I suddenly remembered: Gavin Rossdale. This British hottie, married to Gwen Stefani and the front man for the band Bush, is a very good pick. Not only is he “rock ‘n roll” and super, rad cool; but he seems like a great husband and father. Everything a girl looks for. Also, he’s not one of those “metrosexuals…” – how would I know you ask? I don’t.

For a while now I have had my xbox updated with the latest iXtreme firmware, 1.51 being the latest I updated to. After not being able to play for quite some time I signed on to find a new xbox update. I checked online and everyone said it was safe, so I updated. Unfortunately there were no games I was really wanted to play, other than eagerly waiting for MW:2 to leak. I checked online daily to find a week olater that MW:2 had leaked. Burned, patched, played, banned. I have no clue how they found out it was me. I was playing offline, on a new non xbox live account, deleted the account after I was done, loaded a new legit game on my main account, saved, then got online. I’m at a loss for words, Microsoft stumped me on this one. Anyone else have this problem?

So now after buying a new xbox I eagerly await iXtreme LT!

Teringat akan sebuah hadits nabi bahwa barang siapa yang memulai sesuatu tanpa mendahuluinya dengan mengucap kalimat basmallah, maka orang itu tidak akan mendapatkan berkahnya. Maka, terlebih dahulu, marilah kita membaca: bismillah hirrahma nirrahiim. Semoga Allah memberkati kita selalu. Amin

Tulisan ini akan saya awali dengan sebuah pertanyaan kepada teman-temanku sekalian, “Udah pada punya blog belum?”. Lalu menyusul pertanyaan berikutnya, “Apa pentingnya blog?”. Maka, tulisan singkat ini akan mencoba membeberkan sedikit fakta dan opini untuk menjawab pertanyaan kedua tersebut. Tapi sebelum menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, alangkah ahsannya jika kita tilik sedikit perkembangan dunia blog di Indonesia akhir-akhir ini.

Menurut Enda Nasution, orang yang kerap disebut-sebut sebagai ‘bapak blogger’ Indonesia, ada sekitar 300 ribu blogger di Indonesia pada tahun 2007, 600 ribu blogger di tahun 2008, dan diperkirakan pada tahun 2009 ada sekitar 1,2 juta blogger. Sedang di dunia, diperkirakan ada sekitar 88 juta blogger. Perkembangannya mencapai satu blog tiap detik (sumber: BBC). Kawan, jumlah ini tentunya masih akan terus bertambah seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi khususnya internet.

Lalu, masih menurut Endah, orang-orang yang menuliskan pengalaman dan ide-idenya melalui blog akan memiliki keuntungan-keutungan seperti: mereka lebih ekspresif, lebih peka terhadap sekitar, lebih beropini, lebih percaya dengan keyakinannya, dan akhirnya lebih partisipatif.

Dan saya percaya tentunya ada keuntungan-keutungan yang lain dari aktivitas ngeblog ini. Semisal, sarana untuk melatih kemampuan berkomunikasi terutama menulis. Blog ini juga bisa menjadi alat pembantu untuk membuat buku. Jika kita menulis sedikit demi sedikit di blog dengan konsisten, lambat laun akan jadilah sebuah buku. Blog juga bisa menjadi sarana untuk menghasilkan uang. Sudah banyak orang yang memanfaatkan blog ini untuk meraup pundi-pundi uang. Ada juga yang memanfaatkan blog ini sebagai sarana untuk menambah kenalan serta jaringan. Ada yang memanfaatkan untuk urusan bisnisnya. Untuk mengembangkan kreatifitas sekaligus biar ga gaptek-gaptek amat. Sarana berdakwah. Mengikat ilmu. Penyalur unek-unek biar bisa lebih plong. Ada juga yang memanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk meluncurkan nama agar terkenal. Dan masih banyak keuntungan serta manfaat-manfaat yang lain kalo kita ngebuat blog.

Sekarang saya ingin balik lagi ke sohib-sohib sekalian. Sudah tertarikkah untuk membuat blog? Ngeblog itu gratis lho teman. Buat aja di: wordpress.com, multiply.com, blogger/blogspot.com, blogsome.com, blogster.com, rediffland.com, wokaylah.com, de el el. -    Who ask how you are, to which you reply; “Fine thanks and you?” Only to have them respond; “Oh, not well.”
Great, now I know where the next 25 minutes are going. You suckered me into asking how you were only to blab about how your boss sucks and you’re considering quitting to join a conservation expedition for a year or 2 so you can find yourself.

-    Who ask too many questions when you barely know them. Can we not stick to the basic chit chat? I don’t know you and clearly we haven’t made a “friendship” connection so; let’s just stay with the weather and what we do for a living shall we? I’m not comfortable enough with you to talk about my dead Manchester Terrier or the fight I had with my best friend last week. And I’m certainly not interested in your hernia operation or the awful experience you had at the salon. It’s awkward, so stop talking.

-    Who have to explain a joke to you after you’ve just made it. It’s like; “Yes, thanks for breaking it down for me. I almost forgot why it was funny. Phew, you’re a life saver.” You know what isn’t funny? That.

-    Who don’t know when to end a conversation. You kind of know them and run into them in the mall. You make the usual; “fancy meeting you here,” and “so what brings you here,” comments and then it’s time to wrap things up. But they don’t. They just linger there, never taking the opportunity to walk away. Even when you say things like; “Aaaanyway…” and “Well you look at the time…” they still don’t get the hint. Why? Why won’t you leave? Walk away!

Kappie and I went for lunch the other week. I ordered the chicken mayo sandwich with avo. No tomato. I remember specifically requesting no tomato because I made some joke about it and we all laughed, or at least pretended to laugh.

Then Kappie comes along with his one chicken burger (but with no relish, hold the gherkins, add a slice of cheese and a crispy bun, not the brown seed one and only a half portion of lettuce) order. Blowing my request, right out of the water!

So of course, our meals arrive; Kappie’s is to perfection. Mine however, the understated yet classic  chicken mayo, had tomato.

Now, I’m not one to complain. Ultimately I can just pick the tomato off, no harm no foul. And in the end, I don’t blame the deli; I blame Kappie – with his perplexing, picky, order…confusing people everywhere in the world, all day, every day.

I said as much to him. He didn’t care as he munched away on his idyllic sandwich, smirking as I picked off each tomato slice, almost as if he had calculated it all to go down this way.

As I finished the sandwich, all that was left on the plate was one lettuce leaf (the garnish on the plate vibe) and the 4 massive slices of tomato.

Now, for some reason, I felt bad. The deli guy is lovely and when he comes to take the plates away he’s going to see all the tomato and remember that I asked for no tomato, which will make him feel bad. So I began attempting to hide all the tomato underneath the lettuce leaf. At this point Kappie queried what in world I was doing (although he did say, “world”).

I explained my reasoning to which he counter-argued. He felt that if I left the tomato on the plate but didn’t say anything, they’d see they made the error but think; “How nice is LT that she didn’t say anything. There goes an upstanding citizen.”

Interesting. 

To hide the tomato or not to hide the tomato.

For those still reading this, I’ve decided to wrap this up as I’m really going nowhere… So, after much debate, I ended up hiding half and leaving half.

Not too sure what statement that made.

Ok so; some of these aren’t necessarily “hangover” specific. But I needed to fill the page.

Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.

The suspected gunman was identified as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.

He was killed and two other suspects have been apprehended, Lt. Robert W. Cone said.
