La gentille dame du Job Centre Plus s’étant résignée à me tendre mon chèque de 225 livres toutes les semaines (bon, en fait il arrive par la poste, mais c’est l’idée), elle est en droit de nourrir certaines attentes à mon égard. Par exemple, que je recherche activement un emploi. C’est là que les choses se corsent. Si on entend par « activement » le fait de surfer pendant des heures sur Internet, alors je remplis mon devoir. En revanche, si cela veut dire envoyer des candidatures…. un peu moins. Parce que, pour faire partir des CV, il faudrait déjà que je sache à qui les destiner.

A ma décharge, je fais preuve de prudence : lorsqu’on a déjà aligné trois reconversions professionnelles à 26 ans, il paraît en effet légitime de peser le pour et le contre d’un quatrième revirement. Entre d’innombrables mois de stage et deux ans de CDI, j’ai ainsi été :

- assistante chef de produit marketing pour des biscuits au chocolat : jusque là, rien que de très classique (mais dévastateur pour ma ligne déjà courbe)

- chef de projet dans une entreprise de cours de cuisine : déjà un peu hors des sentiers battus

 - journaliste : c’est-à-dire tellement loin des dits sentiers qu’on pourrait dire que je m’étais carrément égarée.

Le problème, c’est que que je n’ai toujours pas retrouvé mon chemin. Vacances au soleil, vacances à la campagne, pèlerinage spirituel et même coaching… rien n’y a fait. J’ai pourtant envisagé suffisamment de métiers différents pour être en mesure de publier mon propre guide des études : ostéopathe ? Je n’aime pas toucher les gens que je ne connais pas. Institutrice ? Les enfants m’agacent vite, je ne suis pas sûre de tenir quarante ans… diététicienne ? Il ne suffit pas, hélas, d’adorer manger. J’en passe, et des meilleures.

Aucun éclair de génie.

Reprenons à zéro. Je suis diplômée d’une bonne école de commerce, et j’habite à Londres ; le secteur financier serait une solution assez évidente. Le hic, c’est que j’ai déclaré, très jeune déjà, une profonde et irréversible allergie à tout ce qui touche à la finance. Et puis, de toute manière, c’est pas comme si le secteur manquait cruellement de bras en ce moment.

Une seule faible lumière au bout du tunnel : un ancien responsable de stage, avec qui j’ai déjeuné avant mon départ de Paris, m’a proposé de faire passer mon CV au bureau de Londres. Il s’agit d’un cabinet de conseil en ressources humaines, dans lequel je recommencerais tout en bas de l’échelle – pas très gratifiant, mais quand on se reconvertit, difficile de faire la fine bouche. J’attends de ses nouvelles depuis déjà deux semaines, et, en attendant, je postule chez les concurrents. Cela me permet de bercer l’illusion que je veux reellement travailler dans cette branche, et puis ça fera sans doute meilleur effet lors d’un éventuel entretien que de répondre : « ben, comme je suis complètement surqualifiée pour le poste que vous me proposez, je me suis dit que ça ne servait à rien de postuler ailleurs ».

Seulement voilà : en Angleterre, personne ne semble connaître le merveilleux système français des écoles de commerce et tutti quanti. Et encore moins le fait qu’une fois rentré à l’école, personne n’y fout plus rien, profitant à fond des centaines d’associations possibles (du ciné-club à l’aviron en passant par la mission humanitaire au Zimbabwe) et des soirées quelque peu arrosées. Si je n’ai pas à rougir de mon diplôme, il en va donc autrement de mes notes – et c’est un euphémisme.

Telle la cigale ayant chanté tout l’été, je me trouvai donc fort dépourvue lorsque le temps des candidatures fut venu : 

Dans ces conditions, comment convaincre un obtus filtre automatique, et qui a justement pour fonction d’éliminer facilement cancres et benêts, de l’excellence de ma candidature ?

C’est pas gagné, cette recherche d’emploi.

Wekelijks worden we tijdens onze Colruyttrip geconfronteerd met allerlei al dan niet schreeuwerige “nieuw” of “new” labels die onze aandacht proberen te trekken. Vandaag viel ons oog op het “new” logo van Grany Zacht Chocofruits met Choco-Orange.

Dit nieuwe product hoort in het rijtje van andere Grany Moelleux Zacht koekjes thuis. Zo heb je er ook nog met rode vruchten, abrikoos-appel,… De commercial hieronder legt de nadruk op het natuurlijke van deze snack:

Dit product van Lu laat op de verpakking weten dat het je “laat verrassen door zijn rijkdom: de unieke en verfijnde combinatie van zachte stukjes fruit en heerlijke stukjes chocolade in een zachte koek”. Lu stopt in hun nieuwe koekje met choco-orange 37% fruit (waaronder sinaasappelschillen en -pulp, maar ook appel, kokosnoot, abrikozenpuree,…), 27% granen (muesli) en 6% chocolade.

Voor de dieeters onder ons blijkt het niet zo’n gezond idee, omwille van de vele suikers en verzadigde vetten in het product. Eet één zo’n koekje en je hebt al 12% van je dagelijkse aanbevolen hoeveelheid verzadigde vetten binnen en 11% suiker. Ook al promoot Grany zichzelf als het ideale tussendoortje, het leunt eerder aan bij gewone koekjes.

Ik speelde deze keer zelf als ervaringsdeskundige. Het uitzicht van het koekje komt niet zo smakelijk over als op de verpakking, zoals je op de foto ook wel kunt zien, maar dat is meestal wel zo. Het koekje ruikt echt wel naar fruit (of eerder fruitextract?). De smaak zit wel goed: eerst proef je de volle smaak van de granen, gevolgd door de bittere toets van de sinaasappelschil. Lekkere combinatie, al proef je wel dat er serieus wat suiker in het product zit. Niet voor alle dagen dus…

Eén doosje bevat 6 koekjes en kostte in de Colruyt €2,48.

“Ba huyện của Phú Yên thiệt hại nặng nhất trong bão Mirinae là Sông Cầu, Đồng Xuân và Tuy An làm gì có nhà máy thủy điện. Nhà máy thủy điện sông Ba ở phía nam của Tuy Hòa, xả nước có gây chết ai đâu”, Phó thủ tướng Hoàng Trung Hải trao đổi với báo chí bên lề Quốc hội, sáng 9/11.

- Nhiều ý kiến cho rằng sau bão Ketsana và Mirinae, các nhà máy thủy điện miền Trung đã xả lũ đúng lúc lũ lên cao khiến mức độ thiệt hại gia tăng. Là người trực tiếp chỉ đạo công tác phòng chống lụt bão, Phó thủ tướng nói gì về vấn đề này?

- Khi nước từ thượng nguồn về thì hồ thủy điện tích nước để chống lũ. Nhưng khi quá khả năng thì phải xả nước, nếu không sẽ gây vỡ đập, nguy hiểm hơn nhiều. Khi bão có Ketsana tôi đang ở miền Trung, lúc nghe thông tin trên, tôi đã phải cử đoàn của Bộ Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn đi tiền trạm, kiểm tra. Nếu nhà máy thủy điện làm sai quy trình thì tôi sẽ kỷ luật ngay để làm gương. Nhưng qua kiểm tra, xác định hồ thủy điện A Vương làm đúng quy trình.

Trước khi lũ về, đơn vị vận hành đã đưa về mực nước chống lũ. Khi lũ đến, nhà máy đã dùng hết dung tích chống lũ rồi thì phải mở xả, đấy là quy định. Hồ thủy điện chỉ được nâng mực nước lên trên mực dâng bình thường đến mực nước gia cường khi tất cả cửa xả ở dưới đã mở hết. Mức nước gia cường (trên mức nước dâng bình thường khoảng 2 m) là để đảm bảo an toàn cho đập, đấy là mức nước cuối cùng. Anh mà sử dụng quá mực nước gia cường thì vỡ đập.

- Vậy nguyên nhân nào dẫn đến thiệt hại nặng nề của các trận bão lũ vừa qua ?

- Trong các trận lũ vừa qua, tại sao hồ thủy điện hứng lũ rồi mà vẫn xả ầm ầm là do toàn lũ lịch sử. Đứng dưới hạ du, thấy nước cứ lên, tôi ước giá mà nó ngừng xả thì đỡ cho bà con bao nhiêu, bởi nhiều nhà dân đã ngập tới nóc rồi. Nhưng không thể ngừng, hồ thủy điện đã làm hết vai trò là chứa dung tích chống lũ. Nểu không xả gây vỡ đập thì lúc ấy là thảm họa.

Vừa rồi, khu vực chúng ta hay tính đến nhất, lo nhất là ngư dân trên biển thì lại không gặp vấn đề lớn, số người chết rất ít (mọi năm số người chết nhiều trên biển, có khi vài trăm người như trong bão Chanchu, Linda). Trên đất liền, chính những nơi chúng ta lo lắng có nguy cơ sụt lở đất, ngập nước thì đều sơ tán dân trước khi bão vào. Ví dụ bão Ketsana các địa phương đã sơ tán được mấy trăm nghìn dân. Như trận bão Mirinae vừa rồi riêng vùng hạ lưu sông Ba đã di dời 10.000 dân, tỉnh Khánh Hòa sơ tán 19.000 dân. Nhưng chỉ sơ tán được nơi mình tính, còn những nơi mình không tính đến (vì thường rất ổn định) lại gặp thiệt hại nặng. Điều đó thể hiện sự bất thường, không lường được của bão lũ.

Như thị trấn La Hay của huyện miền núi Đồng Xuân (Phú Yên) nằm trên thế đất rất cao, dốc, thông thường không ngập. Nếu có mưa thì ào xuống dưới hạ du. Vậy mà bão Mirinae vừa rồi, mưa đã gây ngập nhà dân tới 6 m. Người dân bàng hoàng vì chưa bao giờ bị ngập. Lào Cai, Bắc Kạn cũng có trường hợp như vậy, dân ổn định hàng trăm năm, không ai tính đến thì nay bà con mình bị cuốn đi hàng trăm người.

Các trạm quan trắc của ta đều xây cao hơn lũ lịch sử, thế mà vừa qua nước về trên cả lũ lịch sử, cuốn cả trạm quan trắc như ở Kon Tum, Gia Lai. Chính sự bất thường của thiên tai làm cho mình thiệt hại lớn.

- Thiên tai khó lường, nhưng người dân ở các tỉnh miền Trung nói rằng trước đây không có nhà máy thủy điện thì không có lũ lớn đến vậy?

- Trước kia và kể cả từ khi có nhà máy thủy điện, chưa bao giờ có lũ lớn. Lũ lớn bất thường không phụ thuộc vào nhà máy thủy điện. 3 huyện của Phú Yên thiệt hại nặng nhất trong bão Mirinae là Sông Cầu, Đồng Xuân, và Tuy An ở phía bắc (chết tới 73 người), làm gì có nhà máy thủy điện. Nhà máy thủy điện sông Ba ở phía nam của Tuy Hòa, xả nước có gây chết ai đâu.

Nhưng nếu nói thủy điện chưa cắt được hết lũ thì đúng. Không một nhà máy thủy điện nào có thể cắt hết lũ, nó chỉ làm đúng nhiệm vụ. Chắc có người nói ông Hải từng làm bên ngành điện nên bênh. Không phải, cần nói đúng vấn đề, không thì đi đến quyết định cực đoan ngay lập tức. Tôi lấy ví dụ một hồ nhỏ chứa dưới 1 tỷ m3 nước, nếu anh không làm nhà máy thủy điện thì 1 tỷ m3 nước đi đâu, nó cũng chảy xuống hạ du chứ. Lúc mưa lớn, lũ lớn thì mình bức xúc nói vậy

Hiện nay, các dự án thủy điện đều được cấp bộ quản lý, phê duyệt. Nếu dự án nào không hợp lý thì các bộ phải ngồi với nhau, xem đúng hay sai. Khi nào Thủ tướng kết luận đúng thì mới được làm. Chúng ta đừng nói thà không có thủy điện còn hơn, nếu không có thủy điện thì anh lấy nước đâu dùng. Sau bão là hạn hán, các hồ phải tích nước để phục vụ sản xuất. Bây giờ không làm hồ thủy điện thì các địa phương vẫn phải xin tiền làm hồ chứa. Toàn bộ vùng Ninh Thuận, Hà Tĩnh, Thanh Hóa, các tỉnh miền Trung không có nơi nào dồi dào về nước.

- Trong đợt bão lũ vừa qua tại Phú Yên, chính Tổng giám đốc Công ty cổ phần Thủy điện Sông Ba Hạ thừa nhận các nhà máy thủy điện trên sông Ba không có sự phối hợp với nhau trong việc điều tiết lũ. Ông đánh giá thế nào về vấn đề phối hợp của các nhà máy thủy điện?

- Bất cập hiện nay chính là vấn đề liên hồ chứa, liên lưu vực. Ví dụ một lưu vực nhiều dòng sông chảy xuống thì sự phối hợp thế nào? Không phải mình không nhận ra vấn đề, nhưng vấn đề đó chỉ làm khi số lượng hồ chứa lớn.

Trước đây chỉ có thủy điện Hòa Bình, Thác Bà, khi thêm thủy điện Tuyên Quang thì phải có quy trình liên hồ chứa. Tới đây khi có thêm thủy điện Sơn La nữa thì mình lại sửa quy trình trên.

Bộ Tài nguyên Môi trường đang nghiên cứu về quy trình này. Quy trình liên hồ chứa bắt các nhà máy thủy điện bỏ lợi ích riêng mà phải vì lợi ích tối đa của hạ du. Còn lại từng nhà máy thì phải có tính toán riêng để tối ưu cho hệ thống. Ví dụ tôi ở dưới, tôi phải theo dõi từ đầu nguồn, lưu lượng lũ về bao nhiêu, xả bao nhiêu để quyết định lưu lượng xả của mình bao nhiêu. Nhưng tôi khẳng định, không phải do không có quy trình liên hồ chứa mà gây chết người trong các trận bão lũ vừa qua.

- Thiệt hại do lũ vừa qua rất nặng nề, ngoài nguyên nhân khách quan, chúng ta rút ra được bài học gì?

- Thứ nhất là nhận thức của người dân. Việt Nam là một trong 5 quốc gia bị ảnh hưởng nặng nhất của biến đổi khí hậu, nước biển dâng, lũ lụt càng trầm trọng hơn. Nhận thức của người dân là phải luôn cảnh giác, bão lũ không còn theo quy luật mà luôn luôn có bất thường.

Thứ hai, dự báo của chúng ta không thể chính xác 100%, do thiếu phương tiện công cụ dự báo, biến đổi khí hậu khó lường và mạng lưới trạm quan trắc không đầy đủ. Bây giờ mưa lũ cục bộ phổ biến do biến đổi khí hậu, tức là trong một tỉnh chỉ có một huyện, trong một huyện chỉ có một xã có mưa lớn lịch sử. Bằng các trạm quan trắc dày thì ta mới phát hiện ra.

Thứ ba, là biến đổi khí hậu làm cực đoan hóa các hiện tượng thời tiết. Trước đây mưa sau bão người ta gọi là mưa rửa bùn, mưa rửa đền, tức là mưa nhỏ, nhưng bây giờ mưa sau bão đều gây chết người. Mưa sau và trước bão đều vô cùng lớn, tạo nên các số liệu lịch sử. Ngày xưa ta lo nhất là bão, nhưng giờ là lo lũ. Đấy là điểm cực đoan mà mình phải hết sức cảnh giác. Mình chỉ nói được rằng sau bão mưa to, rất to, chứ không nói được mưa sau bão lên đến 800-900 mm.

Cả tỉnh Ninh Thuận một năm mưa có 900 mm, nhưng chỉ có vài ngày mưa đã đạt tới lượng đó thì không có gì chịu được. Chính phủ phải cùng các nhà khoa học nghiên cứu, xây dựng kịch bản, chương trình hành động để đối phó với biến đổi khí hậu.

Tomorrow is Christmas. Well at least for myself, Lu and six models, for tomorrow is going to be our Christmas photo shoot. Without giving too much away it’s going to involved myself and Lu and any male models we can drag into helping us, assembling flatpack furniture (we’re getting pretty good at it) and freezing ourselves to near death in a warehouse in Camden. All to bring you lovely readers one of the most beautiful, glamourous and sparkling Christmas fashion shoot you have ever seen. Unlike actual Christmas we probably wont be getting presents however we will with any luck be stuffing our faces with festive foods.

For the rest of today however, hereby known as the Who’s Jack Christmas Eve myself and Lu (sans John as he’s off having fun in Berlin, Happy Birthday John!x) will be trying to call in the last bits for the shoot tomorrow, tracking down a video camera and also trying to track down a Christmas feast for the shoot and for us to dine upon. Anyone with any ideas/great cookery skills get in touch!

The Level-Up Live’s main competitions are the online group tournaments for each of their games. On the side, there are a few artistic contests that offer generous prizes for the budding young artist or the hungry professional. This guide will help you win in these contests.

The first thing you have to remember that LU Live is a marketing event whose main objective is to sell their games to their target audience that consists mostly of adolescent males.

That being the point, the judges will most probably be marketing people and not artists. Therefore aesthetics will depend on what the target audience wants, rather than proficiency in artistic techniques.

This year, the contests will include Cosplay, Digital Art, Film Festival, Digital Photography. Digital art and photography  replaced the on-the spot art contests of the past.

Here are my recommendations:

The Best Female is always the pretty one with the stage presence and the revealing costume.

The Crowd Favorite is always the girl with the more revealing costume, unless you do really something to gain attention, such as falling thru the stage.

Best Junior Cosplayer is always Alex Mei Alegria, by default.

Lili usando vestido pela primeira vez.

Minhas filhas adoram passear, não sei a quem puxaram! Esse final de semana foi animado. No sábado fomos almoçar no Vi. Ele fez um delicioso almoço para as famílias Frare-Ferreira-Matesick (o Marcelo, que estava em Curitiba, também foi convidado). Aliás, ele tá se saindo um ótimo padrinho, super participativo e atuante! A tarde fomos os quatro (até agora não me acostumei com esse número) no aniversário do Nikolas. De lá a Marina ainda foi jantar na casa da Gabriela (filha da Simone e do Cobra).
