I think I might annoy the people working in the stores we frequent. I encourage my kids to sit down on the floor and totally interact with the merchandise. And then I take pictures of them doing that. Yeah, the store owners might not appreciate that so much. I think they would much prefer that we buy the things first. And maybe put the camera away…oh well… That won’t stop me.

Honeymoon Prep

Sunscreen – This is one of my everyday essentials. I use the Shiseido sunblock daily on my face, and when I travel I also apply a drugstore sunblock on the rest of my body. Normally I would go for a higher SPF when lounging in the sun all day, but Costco was having a sale and so I picked up a double pack of Neutrogena SPF 55. It also came with two cute travel tubes, which will be great for carrying around during the day. BB cream – I have fair skin so I burn pretty easily. I’ve found that the best way to prevent sunburn on my face is to first apply sunblock, then apply a layer of BB cream over it. It can get kind of gross to have so much product on your skin at the beach, but it does the job….

In plus, poti face fotografii in rafala la 7 frame/secunda.

Similarly, the lens’ F2.0 aperture makes capturing professional looking photos with shallow depth of field and beautiful, warm backgrounds easier than ever before.

The new LEICA lens also offers outstanding range in terms of width and zoom. A 28-200mm wide angled lens with 7.1x optical zoom is designed to help you take perfect shots in a variety of shooting situations. The camera’s Venus Engine further enhances performance and image quality, thanks to the very latest Panasonic Noise Reduction and Edge Smoothing systems. No matter what time of day or night, the camera will minimise distortion and noise guaranteeing beautiful, true-to-life pictures.

The LUMIX DMC-LF1’s impressive image quality is not limited to still photography. Despite its compact size, it is also capable of capturing beautiful, full HD 1920×1080 50i video recording, in both AVCHD Progressive and MP4 outputs.

Take complete control
The LUMIX DMC-LF1 has been designed to provide you with complete control over your photography, wherever you find that once-in-a-lifetime shot and whatever the conditions. By framing and aligning subjects with the most suitable pattern from a new composition guide consisting of Rule of Thirds Offset, Diagonal Lines, Tunnel, Radiation 1, Radiation 2 and S-Shape, images will be perfectly composed for stunning perspective and refined results. A new 0.2-inch electronic viewfinder, in addition to the 3-inch LCD display, means you can choose a shooting configuration that perfectly suits your style. Similarly, a Control Ring at the base of the lens barrel makes it easy to manually control aperture, shutter speed and zoom with minimal movement, allowing you concentrate on your target and set up the camera for that perfect picture.

The LUMIX DMC-LF1 also lets you add your own creative touches both before and after you’ve pressed the shutter. Creative Control and Creative Retouch include 15 filter effects and will help turn the most ordinary shots into truly artistic images. 13 of these filter effects can also be applied to panorama shots in Creative Panorama.

Share your creativity
With a combination of NFC and Wi-Fi capability, the LUMIX DMC-LF1 offers unprecedented control, connectivity and ability to share. After a first initial setup, NFC compatibility lets you turn on Wi-Fi with a simple tap of a smartphone or tablet, so no more troublesome menus or setup procedures. Similarly, images and video can be shared between a range connected devices in just moments. With the Panasonic Image App, you can even use your mobile device as a remote controller to view, zoom, set the focus and shoot from distance. Finally, with Easy Share, you can easily upload and share your favourite images and videos to a host of social networking sites, letting you share your latest masterpiece with the world.

Maximising creative expression in a fixed lens camera
We have managed to incorporate a host of features and functions, including a high-performance LEICA lens, into a beautifully designed and incredibly mobile camera.
Panasonic is proud to announce a new digital compact camera LUMIX DMC-LF1 from new LF series – a sister line of the world-renowned LX series which have been long acclaimed by the photography enthusiasts for its high picture quality and creative descriptiveness.
The ExpoDisc CAN BE USED WITH ANY DIGITAL CAMERA WITH CUSTOM WHITE BALANCE CAPABILITY, including all digital SLRs and most point & shoot cameras. The ExpoDisc works with all major camera brands, including: CANON, NIKON, Sony, Pentax, Olympus, Samsung, Lumix, and Leica. Your camera’s internal light meter MEASURES THE COLOR TEMPERATURE OF LIGHT PASSING THROUGH the ExpoDisc to make an “in-camera” color adjustment. This color adjustment is applied to all subsequent images taken using the custom white balance applied from the selected light reading. Or, if you prefer SHOOTING…

Camera bargains to make you smile

 24.04.13
Rating: 4/5

When you pick up this clever little camera, it’s easy to see why many DSLR users are switching to compact system cameras. With a sleek magnesium alloy body and a back almost filled with a three-inch LCD, the lack of controls hide an impressive list of features. This 14.2-megapixel camera can shoot 15 photos a second using autofocus tracking, or a stunning 60 frames a second if you choose a fixed focal point. It has an ISO range of up to 6400 and supports a wi-fi adaptor. Two "best moment" capture modes plus full-HD video and 400fps slow-motion modes also feature. On the downside, there is no hotshoe for external flash and you have to navigate a menu to select aperture or shutter speed. With its interchangeable lenses and optional waterproof case, this little unit has plenty to offer.

Panasonic LF1 Camera With Wi-Fi, Fast Leica Glass And Vestigial Viewfinder

The Lumix LF1 shoots RAW images, has a 200k dot optical viewfinder, a 28-200mm equivalent zoom, Wi-Fi and NFC, a 3-inch LCD, a maximum ISO of 12,800 and a 12MP sensor.

The camera will retail for $500.

I like the Wi-Fi and RAW, and NFC will get useful when more phones can use it to initiate photo transfers. I also like that the lens is a wide ƒ2 model, designed by Leica. But that viewfinder is pathetic in its low resolution, which makes me wonder why it’s even there.

We’ll have to wait and see if this is a hit or a miss. One thing is certain, though: this thing looks fantastic. Maybe a little too fantastic for any Android owners to put anywhere near their horrible-looking phones.

Panasonic G6 So today Panasonic announced a new camera, the G6 – and it has 24p! That’s

Panasonic G6

So today Panasonic announced a new camera, the G6 – and it has 24p! That’s a first for a non-GH series lumix M4/3 camera. An interesting development. It has the same sensor as the GH2, and ‘improved processing’. Depending on what video perfomance ends up looking like, this might be an interesting choice as a potential GH2 upgrade, if avoiding the moire and aliasing present in GH3 footage is a priority.

The new 14-140mm f3.5-5.6 lens.

More interesting to me though is the new 14-140 lens. I used to own the old 14-140. It was a my go-to workhorse for shooting with my GH1, and before I got my Olympus zooms. F4-5.8 just didn’t cut it indoors with the ISO performance of the GH1 though, and overall I found the lens too contrasty and the auto-focus never really met my expectations. As my shooting style has evolved, however, I’m starting to see the possibility that owning a 10x zoom lens, even one with such poor aperture specs, would be useful for outdoor doc-style shooting. The new lens I find exciting because its a 3.5-5.6 lens, which means just enough brighter to make a difference. Will I buy one? It will depend on the price, but some day when I upgrade to GH3s and buy the 12-35 and 35-100 lenses, I just might pick up a new 14-140 as well. We’ll see!

The entire second grade at my son’s school has two giant projects during the school year. One is the Thanksgiving project in the fall. The other is the state project in the spring. The final project is due this Friday and one portion of it is to make a “float” (a mini parade float) that will be displayed along with a tri-fold board with information about the state, a five paragraph report, and a sample of food from the state. The state my son selected for his project was Alaska. Special thanks needs to go to my Alaskan Ravelry friend who sent the most amazing package of stuff for him to use including brochures, maps, salmon jerky, two different Alaskan jams, a hat, pins, and a stuffed toy salmon for my daughter. Knitters are amazing. Truly amazing.

I had to go take some photos today at work of an addition my firm did at a local school. After getting all the shots I needed I became obsessed with the curved corrugated metal roof and siding on a tiny maintenance shed in the rear parking lot.

Last week I spent half a day with one of my previous brides teaching her to use her new camera that her husband had recently bought her. We had a lovely time tea drinking and walking around Waterperry gardens, Oxfordshire discussing the various modes, dials and buttons that her camera offered with lots of beautiful pictures created along the way.

Sophie left the class much clearer about how to use her new Canon camera and hopefully she will be able to put what she learnt to good use on their little boy who will be putting her reactions to the test!

I offer one to one photography training classes during the week in the local area of South Oxfordshire for anyone who wants to learn how to make the most of their camera. Please email me for more details info@marklordphotography.com

Here’s a little ad I put together to promote this service locally….

We visited Charlecote Park in the Midlands, on a cool and blustery day with sparse sunshine. I didn’t take my Nikon D600 with me (actually, that’s not true: I did take it with me in my backpack, as I always do, and lugged it around on our walk; however, I managed to leave the battery in the car so the camera was no more than a dead weight).

I did however have my trusty little Panasonic Lumix TZ10 with me, which is a fantastic little point-and-shoot camera. The macro is especially impressive; the main photo below is of moss flowers, which are so small that you can barely see them with the naked eye, yet the Lumix could focus on them from about 3cm away.

Today was the District finals for my son’s Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. He was the fastest car in his pack which qualified him for today’s race. His car had four runs in which he took second, first, second and first place in that order. Unfortunately his total time was not enough to earn him a trophy, but he went home with four ribbons which was still pretty cool!

Twice a year I wake up way too early for a Saturday and drag myself out to a giant children’s consignment sale to stand in line before the doors open. There is a strategy, I have learned, to doing this sort of thing. Get there early. Grab pretty much everything you think looks interesting. Sit down once your bag gets too heavy and take a second look at everything to filter out the things you can live without. Do a slow walk past the racks again to look for things other people had originally grabbed and then decided they didn’t want. Repeat until you feel you have seen everything. And don’t forget to bring cash. Thankfully, it is always worth it. I got some great stuff for both kids.

#1 ☺Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7 Book Reviews 2013

Books up to 50% Off: And read review about the Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7 I have been doing research on online stores worldwide, and the facts say you can buy a Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7 with a very cheap price only here.

Book Description : For Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 has earned a reputation as one of the first choices for photographers who want an advanced camera they can carry around with them to capture great images without the complication and weight of a DSLR or other large camera. With features such as a very fast lens with an aperture of f/1.4, excellent image quality, and a solid array of burst-shooting capabilities, this compact camera has attracted an enthusiastic following in the photography community. However, the camera does not come with a detailed printed manual for reference, making it difficult for users to find answers to questions about the use of the camera’s many controls, menus, and features.
With the release of this guide book to the LX7, White Knight Press has provided users with a comprehensive guide to all operations of this sophisticated camera. Using a patient, tutorial-like approach, the book provides guidance to beginning and intermediate photographers not only about how to accomplish things with the LX7, but when and why to use the camera’s many controls, menus options, and other features.
The book does not assume specialized knowledge by the reader as it explains topics such as autofocus, manual focus, depth of field, aperture priority, shutter priority, exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO sensitivity. The book also provides details about the camera’s numerous menu options for playback, setup, and customizing the operation of the various buttons and other controls.
The book contains approximately 400 photographs, almost all in full color, which illustrate the LX7′s controls, shooting screens, and menus. The photographs also provide examples of the various types of photographs that can be taken using the many creative settings of the camera, including the Creative Control settings, which let the photographer alter the color processing and other aspects of images; the Scene shooting mode, with settings that are optimized for various subjects, including landscapes, portraits, and action shots; the Photo Style menu option, which provides the ability to customize the appearance of images; and the camera’s strong array of features for continuous shooting and shooting in dim lighting.
In addition, the book goes beyond the bounds of everyday photography, and provides introductions to more advanced topics such as infrared photography, street photography, astrophotography, and macro photography.
The book also includes a full discussion of the video recording abilities of the LX7, which can shoot high-definition (HD) video with stereo sound, and which offers manual control of exposure and focus during movie recording. In three appendices, the book provides information about accessories available for the camera, including cases, external flash units, and filter adapters, and includes a list of web sites and other resources for further information.
Also, the book includes a detailed appendix with helpful Quick Tips that give particular insights into how to take advantage of the camera’s features in the most efficient ways possible.

I am undecided how I feel about the trend to put plastic flowers in the ground. In one way, from far away, and maybe even passing at higher speeds like in a car or on a bike, they could possibly pass as real flowers.
