Uma imagem vale mais que mil palavras. Isso é bem verdade, mas claro, quando se consegue ver algo na imagem. Quando comprei a minha Sony DSC-s650 esperava isso. Mas não foi bem assim.

Depois da minha ida ao melhor lugar para se tirar fotos legais, Chapada Diamantina, tive minha decepção.  Imagens com manchas, muitas manchas, quando estava um pouco mais escuro. Um flash com alcance bem pequeno, vídeo ruim para não dizer péssimo e inexistência de modo manual. Além disso já era um modelo ultrapassado.

Então decidi e depois de uma semana de intensas pesquisas, lidas no DPReview, no CameraLabs e no Digital Versus, comprei a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 por 980,00 luletas aqui. Quando comprei, a Panasonic já havia anunciado sua sucessora a Lumix DMC-FZ35 e estava por míseros R$1230,00 aqui. Claro que a diferença de custo é relativamente baixa contudo para mim não cabia no orçamento que, por acaso, começou com R$600,00.

O que eu queria na câmera:

• Mais que 5MP;
• Zoom grande;
• Que parecesse ou lembrasse uma DLSR;
• Display grande e móvel;
• Visor ocular;
• Imagens boas no escuro;
• Modo manual completo;
• Bom vídeo.

Depois das lidas dos sites, ditos acima, e de conversas com pessoal mais experiente, fiquei na duvida entre a Nikon P90 e a Lumix FZ28. A P90 é um bom aparelho impressionou nas fotos escuras. Contudo nada de vídeos “assistiveis”, quando digo isso me refiro a qualidade inferior ao YouTube não HD, e fotos com boa luz com qualidade bem inferior. Então fiquei com a Lumix mesmo.

Indo ao que vos interessa. Gostei bastante da FZ28, considero uma compra bem feita mesmo tendo comprado com uma sucessora já à venda. Vamos falar da câmera em geral.

Sua carcaça é feita toda em plastico fosco(isso para a preta, não sei a prata). A única parte de metal é a borda da lente o que a deixa mais leve. Há uma área, para a pegada, em que o material é meio emborrachado e texturizado, como o couro. Isso ajuda na hora de segurar, dá estabilidade e conforto.

Os botões são todos ao alcance dos dedos. Me agradou muito o fato de ter um joystick, isso facilita e agiliza na hora de fazer ajustes. Sua tela é de bom tamanho, 2.7”, comporta o menu sem encobrir toda a foto.

Portas? Ela tem algumas. São elas a usb/AV, DC, componente e, claro, a do cartão de memória SD ou SDHC. Falta uma HDMI mas sua sucessora já tem uma.

A roda de modos é bem completa e com opções bastante interessantes. Seu modo point and shot(automático) faz bonito. As cores são bem balanceadas, não reparei o excesso de vermelho como é visivel no Digital Versus. O ISO também é muito bom, digo, relativamente bom. Depois do ISO 800 a imagem já fica meio ruim:

O zoom ótico de 18x é bastante grande, mas se você não ficar feliz com ele, é possivel chegar ao zoom de 128 vezes com fotos com tamanho de até 3Mp e no modo manual. Isso é util para tirar belas fotos da lua, porém para sair de 18 e chegar a 128 a câmera faz um recorte da imagem. O resultado é como dar zoom em uma foto já tirada. Isso resulta em queda de qualidade e aberrações cromáticas.

SÃO JORGE CADÊ VOCÊ?!

Com tanto zoom é de se esperar que a captura saia termida, borrada, arrastada, o que preferir. E saem mesmo, isso se o estabilizador não estiver ativado. Com velocidades de captura altas o estailizador é dispensável. Contudo, quando a velocidade é lenta, é irrefutavel a necessidade de utilizar o estabilizador. Esse é muito bom. Ele possui 3 modos, “Modo 1″,”Modo 2″e “Auto”. Entretanto se o tempo de exposição for entre 1/30 e 1 nem o estabilizador resolve o jeito é aumentar o ISO.

Macros bem perto, cheguei a tirar fotos em que o objeto em questão encostava na lente. O quebra sol que acompanha a câmera também é bastante util. É possivel também colocar alguns acessórios, como filtros.

Para vocês não dizerem que o review foi inutil pois a câmera já tem substituta, aqui tem as especificações das duas. O que escrevi vale tanto para a FZ28 quanto para a FZ35. Naverdade se você gostou dessa câmera, então e certo que irá gostar da FZ35.

After some experimenting with the Lumix GF1 and different photoshoot set-ups, I’m ready to give you a better look at Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid Puchi Death Note Case File #01. I’m really pleased with the detail that the GF1 was able to capture without a macro lens (I’m using the 14-45mm kit lens) as well as how the lighting turned out. There’s nothing overly complex about the set-up, so I’ll just let you see for yourself instead of going into any further detail. I hope you like these first photos; stay tuned for parts two and three over the next week or so to see the whole set!

Bonjour, voici donc mon dernier film, ce n’est pas un simple test comme vous avez pu en voir précédement. Flux est une petite fiction, que j’ai réalisé avec des comédiens, un scénario, ça raconte une histoire … 98% du film a été tourné avec le Panasonic Lumix GH1. Le reste les plans aériens sont faits avec une Cineflex.

Flux est un court métrage de fiction “communicant” j’ai eu la chance de travailler avec une institudion compréhensive qui m’a fait confiance pour ce film. Sorte de carte blanche avec quelques messages imposés par le client, j’ai apprécié réaliser se film.

Synopsis :Jeanne est étudiante, tous les matins elle prend le tramway pour aller à la fac. Tous les matins, elle espère en secret qu’Issa sera là dans le tram pour passer un peu de temps avec lui …

Pourquoi avoir tourné un film de commande avec un appareil photo comme le GH1 me direz vous ?

Tout simplement parce que j’aime les challenge, et parce qu’avec le budget qui m’a été confié j’ai préféré tourner avec comédiens et figurants plus longtemps que d’avoir une super camera qui coute cher. Grosso modo j’ai eu 5 jours avec 4 comédiens / figurants au minimum par jour. Si j’avais tourné avec une caméra broadcast, d’une part j’aurais pas pu avoir ce rendu cinéma sans rajouter un bazooka (Pro35) et j’aurais aussi eu du mal à suivre le rythme des déplacements qui ont été fait dans la plus grande légèrerté et 100% en transports en commun. Par ailleurs j’avais pris la précaution de faire valider la qualité de l’image par le client en lui présentant des exemples avant de tourner.

A Rough Morning After (317/365 11-13-09)

My wife and I went out for breakfast. On the way we saw this feather stuck on the pavement. It looked to be a feather from a boa, which only made us concoct a variety of more and more outrageous stories of what happened the night before.

By noon of the following day, everyone’s all packed up for their flight back to Saudi Arabia .  By noon we all checked out of Hotel Mozart; while they were bound to Malpensa airport, I’ll be bound for Rome .  I bade goodbye to everyone and soon I was alone again at the hotel lobby figuring out how I could get to Rome .  The front desk guy told me that it will be about 8 hours from Milan by road or 4-5 hours by the train at the Milano Centrale.  He told me that Rome is a big city and a day or two will not be enough considering the small amount of time I have until I leave Italy in 2 days.  After going about the pros and cons I got to conclude that he’s right- setting aside the total travel time, a day and a half in Rome might not really be practical afterall.  However, Venice he said is the next best option for it is also a beautiful city only 2 hours away by train.  He lent me the hotel’s tourist guide book and after seeing the pictures and going through the information, I was convinced to go there instead.  Half an hour later, I was back in Milano Centrale for a two-hour trip to Sta. Lucia, Venezia.  I moved around confidently this time for I know the station already and I know where I was going.  There were long lines of passengers buying the tickets eventhough there were about 10 or so counters in the ticket area while in the automated bigglieteria there were few.  I wanted to try it but I’m not about to let another possible complication (like my credit card getting jammed or pressing the wrong options) to ruin my trip, I decided to try my patience in the ticket area which wasn’t so bad afterall because the turn-over was quicker than I thought.  Soon I was  inside the neat express train of about 10 coaches or so moving at least 110 kilometers per hour.  After going through more stops than I can recall, we finally arrived Venice- Sta. Lucia station on a 30-minute delay.

The first thing that I saw upon stepping out of the station was the water!

  There was a wide canal separating the side where I was and the other side and between the gap is a huge bridge.  Looking around, I felt like I was in another world-   centuries-old structures, water everywhere, no motorized vehicles on solid grounds, bridges big and small, Roman Catholic churches, gondolas, water buses, lovely people- I’m afraid I might describe such an unimaginably beautiful city in an understated fashion.  It was like I was in a small town floating in a big body of water in the 16^th century.  Along the main (brick) road called the Strada Nova are closely-knit shops, restaurants, pharmacies and authentic Venetian handicrafts!

 So this is where the infamous masques came from.  Outside these shops were mannequins dressed like they just came from the Phantom of the Opera afterparty.  The ambience of what I’ve seen so far is like a creepy  old town yet in its own goodness.  Creepy because it looks like the place where Jack the Ripper prowls at night in one of those dark narrow alleys or a troll might be lurking beneath the murky water and ready to pounce on you when you’re passing by one of those bridges.  In a good way because the peculiarity of the lovely Venice   adds to the excitement of being in a totally new dimension.  For me, the people here are not as uptight as  those in Milan- in most aspects like fashion, attitude, they tend to be the more relaxed breed.

There were small 2-star hotels along Strada Nova but none of them has suited my taste as of yet so I decided

 to walk further.  The small streets were crowded with obviously tourists mostly in groups.  To my right is a rather wide waterway where people take the waterbuses and water taxis.  The mainroad closed in to more narrow walkways after crossing the first bridge.  Now there were old buildings congested on bothsides and I couldn’t really decipher which are ones the residentials because it seems to me that everything, everywhere are commercial establishments.  I came upon a hotel housed in an old brick structure with a petite tower serving as the main attraction along with the antique well in front.  Attached to the hotel is their small small resto with tables outside.  Though it has been less than an hour’s walk only, I was rather tired after going up and down three bridges (have to carry my big trolley bag everytime) I decided to check in at this hotel.  The name of the small hotel was Hotel Tintoretto.  A pretty young  Italian lady was manning the front desk as soon as I entered.  It was a really small space (from the door to the frontdesk) that only one person can be accomodated each time.  Three average sized persons would already crowd the entire space.  The (what’s supposed to be) lobby was even smaller than the living room in my previous apartment.  Anyhow, I still thought the place was lovely, neat and cozy.  Comparing it to the amenities of Hotel Mozart, I bet bed and breakfast here is cheaper.  But no, they quoted me a 100 Euro per night, single room.  Probably because this is Venice , I thought as I was handing out my Mastercard.  The lobby doesn’t lead you to where the hotel rooms are, we had to literally go out and enter a glass and steel door next to the lobby entrance.  I asked where the elevator was and she politely said that they didn’t have one installed as the building is that of an old-16^th century mansion or something- I believed her as I climbed my way two floors up to my room.  The wooden stairs and floorings are carpeted and right at the end of the hallway would be my room.  It was the only elevated room in that floor and just before you to take 3 steps up to the room, there’d be a room to your left and right like they were guarding mine.  The “16^th Century” thing that the lady gave me for info added to the spine-chilling ambience and if that were so, what could this room have been centuries ago?  A torture chamber?  Just a thought though, of course I know it has been refurbished from what it was ages ago.  As expected, the room is small but just right for me.  The wooden walls, bed and nightstands are coordinations of pastel colors and the bathroom has complete facilites except bathtub (I don’t need it anyway).  After having the feel of the room, I just freshened up and went back to the front desk to ask not for some more “16^th Century” infos but for tips on getting around the place.  She was very nice and helpful that she gave me a map (I still have it).  Accordingly Piazza San Marco is very near the hotel about 15 minutes walk, she confidently said.  That’s great, I thought as she drew on the map the direction I should go.  When I looked at it, my eyes grew big looking at it for the line she drew went from end-to-end of the map.  She got what I was hitting at so she softly chuckled and said it looks far from the map but in the actual, it’s really not that far.

 The supposed 15-minute walk to San Marco was extended to about an hour brought about by the countless stops at souvenir shops and other attractions.  Along the way, there were about 4 Roman Catholic churches within the cramped streets.  It would be hard not to get lost without the map as there were  sooooo many small streets that are; I don’t know- intertwined, intersecting, intergalactic (oops, ignore the last one!) with each other and bridges and water canals in-between which seemed to me like the whole of Venice is a big geographical plate of spaghetti (Italian of course!).  Arrows pointing to the direction of the piazza are everywhere even in shops and restos probably because they got tired of being asked by tourists.  It was around 9pm that time and it started to rain (sure I missed the rain back in Saudi Arabia but not here, not now).  I found shelter in one of the shops’ canopy and good thing the rain didn’t last long.  After fifteen minutes’ worth of downpour, the rain finally calmed down so I went on my way.  Although most of the shops started to close, there were still a lot of tourists obviously heading towards the same direction of the piazza.  On the way, I came across the Rialto Bridge- one of Venice ’s landmark.  It spans the width of a very wide canal and along the banks are mostly restaurants and coffee shops and a hotel.  I went up to the Rialto bridge and got a lovely view of the surroundings.  The soft lights gave a good contrast against the night scenery and the dark water in my Lumix digital camera.

It was rather getting late so I continued the march to Piazza San Marco.  Not long, I am standing in front of Basilica de San Marco probably from which, the square was named after.  There were a lot to see in the square but it was already dark specially on the otherside where the gondolas are and there were only few tourists left so I just took pictures of the square and headed back to hotel.  I went back the following day and I saw more of the piazza which I haven’t seen last night.  The servizio gondole’s  are in operation but few took a ride.  Perhaps because 80 Euros per person was not appealing to the tourists at all.  There were a lot of groups each led by a tourist guide.  There were lovers, old folks, children everywhere and of course pigeons all over the piazza.  I took pictures of the Basilica de San Marco from the outside and inside as well.  Bags were not allowed inside but luckily the guards at the door allowed my plastic bags containing the souvenirs I bought.  Duomo was more lenient to photographers unlike here, the “staff” are wary of people taking photos of the basilica’s interior.  Of course, they were not able to reprimand

everyone still took pictures inside.  And why not when inside the basilica is as majestic as the Dumo (only this is a much smaller version).  The entire concaved ceiling is  bejeweled with gold (real or not, I don’t know) mosaic tiles that it was actually sparkling- I was in awe at the sight of it!  There were paintings (by I don’t know who) and other stuffs similar to what I found inside Duomo.  I was only able to get a few shots when the staff called my attention for a reasons I know already so I placed my camera back in my bag before they confiscate it, if they really do that.  Just in front of the basilica is the Campagnille de San Marco- the basilica’s bell tower.  For 8 Euros, you get to go to the top so I did.  Good thing, there’s an elevator where tourists enter in batches of about 10 each time.  On the way to the top, (again) my claustrophobic tendencies signalled a feeling of discomfort to my brains that I was having a hard time breathing in that very cramped space.  As the elevator door opened, a blast of cold wind blew inside.  It was really cold out there at the top.

There were two uber gigantic bells and being there gives you a breathtaking view of Venice . You could  actually see from all sides of the campagnille.  The one that I liked best is the view at the west where The Great Canal lies- I took a nice shot of this!  There’s a coin operated binoculars on all for sides and in the middle just beside the elevator is a vendo type souvenir coin dispenser.  I took one for 3 Euros I think (right now I can’t find it- must have placed it in one of my clothes’ pocket).

I could still vividly recapture the moments of my entire trip to Italy to date as I am writing this down at this very moment.  It was like I was in places where I could only see in the postcards before.  Being there goes beyond admiring a place you’re just viewing in Google Images.  Although, travelling could be a taxing and costly endeavor but that’s just a portion of the entire cake.  Along with it comes the exhilarating experience that even for once in your life you might want to try- don’t ever forget to bring your camera!  The icing on the cake?  I would say lots and lots of screensaver!

Die Japaner sind bekannt für sagen wir mal abstruse Einfälle. Panasonic hatte gerade so einen und glaubt, das eine große Monstertaube mit blutunterlaufenen Augen die ideale Werbung sei. Wofür? Für eine Kamera.

In einem Londoner Park ließ sich die unheimliche Werbeskulptur nieder: 3,2 Meter Scheitelhöhe, 200 kg Lebendgewicht. Zwei Wochen lang soll die Kunsttaube in der Themsestadt an wechselnden Standorten für Aufsehen sorgen, bevor sie sich eine nächste Stadt als Opfer sucht.
Da fragt man sich natürlich, was hat eine Taube mit der Lumix DMC-ZX1 zu tun, für die sie laut Panasonic die Werbeflügel schlägt? Adler oder Falke hätte man wegen der berühmten Scharfsichtigkeit noch verstanden. Aber eine fliegende Ratte? Mit fiesen roten Augen?
Das passt irgendwie nicht zur 25 mm dünnen Kompaktkamera mit 8fach-Zoom, ordentlichem Weitwinkel, hoher Auflösung und überdurchschnittlicher Bildqualität. Im ColorFoto-Vergleichstest erreichte die ZX1 gerade auf Anhieb Platz zwei. [Ralf]

I have been submitting some photographs to my stock agency and it is a bit depressing how few of the photos I shoot actually qualify (in their minds, anyway) as good stock photos. The big money in stock is in advertisements so anything that can’t be made into a glossy billboard doesn’t make the cut. In the process, a lot of soulful stuff gets left out. The image above, like a lot of the intentionally moody stuff I do, would never get submitted because I know the “auditors” would never pass it. That seems wrong, but life is not always tidy. Sharpness is the major criteria for stock, and I mean sharp. Sharp magnified at 200% sharp.

Female Ostrich

Now this ostrich is sharp, at least at the eye, which is most important. It is sharp, but it doesn’t tell a story. It doesn’t really elicit an emotion. I have to fill in that this is a female ostrich guarding a communal nest where the entire harem of females lay their eggs. She is the dominant female so her eggs get to go in the center of the nest and the other eggs get pushed to the outside, where they may get too cold or fall out of the nest. This is sharp because she will not leave the nest so there is no problem getting her to pose. The Land Rover doesn’t really seem to bother her, but when we approached this nest another female did leave, and apparently she snitched on us because as we were leaving the male came running toward the nest to defend it.

Dramatic Sky

There is a recent flurry of excitement about iPhone photos, with publication of three different books of them. I don’t think I will join that fad. The above photograph is a case in point. It was shot with my Panasonic Lumix point and shoot while walking the dog. It just breaks my heart to have these dramatic photographs that are too noisy and unsharp to use for anything but tiny photos on the internet, and that just is not good enough for me. If I thought someone might publish a book of my Lumix photographs that may be a different story…It is argued that it gets you looking for photographs all of the  time because you always have a camera with you, but I think I pretty much do that anyway. I can’t discount the fun factor of making photographs while in purgatory at the airport, so I haven’t given up on an iPhone altogether. I just don’t like the fact that a phone is involved. I have a phone phobia that may require a whole team of psychiatrists to work through some day. So forgive me if I don’t call.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3

I’m a big fan of the group Metric, a really cool Canadian indie rock group. Last night, my wife scored some last-minute tickets to go to a secret show in San Francisco where they played some of my favorite songs from their latest albums. The lead singer Emily Haines is really cute, and put on a very electrifying and energetic performance.Unfortunately, while I had my Lumix LX3 with me, I had left my memory card in the car, and I only figured it out when I started taking pictures as the show started! Fortunately, the LX3 has a small amount of built in memory that let me take about 10 pictures, but it meant I had to keep deleting photos during the performance as I continued shooting! The lighting was pretty dim on the stage (they played at the famous Bimbo’s in North Beach), making sharp shots difficult, even at the camera’s maximum f/2.0 aperture.

I kinda like the shot above, despite the awkward crop. I think it really gives a sense of the energy that was on stage during the performance.

Here’s a blurry, grainy image that I really love for some reason. I think it’s the lighting and the sense of movement in her hair. I would have loved to be in the front row, but I got to the venue a little later than I wanted to. Oh well!

Being behind other people meant having to lift the camera into the air to get a straight shot of the stage….not the most steady way to hold  a camera! After shooting for about 10 minutes, I decided I didn’t want to keep deleting photos to make room for more. I grabbed a drink, and enjoyed the rest of the performance without the camera.

Természetesen egy meg se jelent készüléket nem lehet összehasonlítani, legalábbis teljesítmény szempontjából. A fenti képen egymásra helyezve látható a Samsung NX10 és a Panasonic DMC-GF1 és az összehasonlítási alap a vakupapucs volt, így született meg a külső méret összehasonlítás.

Cały ranek relacjonowałem na Blipie wędrówkę 1 Antyharcerskiej Drużyny Wędrowniczej na trasie: Biedronka-dalej_się_zobaczy-wpadniem_do_znajomych-może_kto_podrzuci-jak_nie_to_gnojownia. Ogólnie muszę powiedzieć, że jak na 1 ADW było nudno, choć w perspektywie codziennego dnia lub, co gorsza, dnia na mieście, było świetnie. Jednak nie wydarzyło się nic, co można nazwać jakąkolwiek przygodą i opowiedzieć jako anegdotę na imieninach cioci. Stąd też dziwny tytuł – z braku lepszego.

Zacznę od powiedzenia, dlaczego było nudno. A dlatego, że:
1. Nikt nie wpadł do rzeki, nie padł w błoto, nie wlazł w krowi placek (dotychczas było to normą).
2. Nie zgubiliśmy się.
3. Znaleźliśmy tylko jedno nowe, ciekawe miejsce. Jednak i z tym można polemizować.
4. Nie zrobiliśmy z siebie głupków przed nikim (chyba…).

A teraz chronologiczna opowieść.

Maniek wczoraj powiedział, że mam u niego się stawić o 7:00. Oczywiście uznałem, że oszalał i poinformowałem go, że o 7:00 to ja mogę wstać. Źle mu powiedziałem, bo nie mogłem wstać. Na szczęście brat skutecznie metodą ciągnij_za_syrę-piszcz_do_ucha postawił mnie do pionu dopełniając dzieła budzika.

Miałem mu wysłać zgłoszenie do jakiegoś konkursu. Tak naprawdę mama mnie prosiła, bo zgłoszenie owszem, można wysłać, ale do comiesięcznego otrzymywania paczki za pobraniem (ponad 20 zł). Z tego to powodu wytłumaczyliśmy mu, że to loteria, zgłoszenia wysyła się mailem, a losowanie jest w lutym. Dobrze, że nie umie czytać.

Wysyłając maila, przeczytałem swoje – nawarstwiło się trochę przez te 2 dni ograniczonej aktywności. Rzuciłem okiem na trzy od dawna oczekiwane maile (w tym jeden z informacjami lekko nieświeżymi) i oddałem komputer bratu. Okazało się jednak, że mama strasznie ciekawa jest treści jednego z nich (marudziła, że za mało, stąd muszę się doinformować), więc musiałem wynegocjować z bratem ponowny dostęp do skrzynki, przeczytać, zanalizować i opowiedzieć kochanej rodzicielce. Ostatecznie wyszedłem, krótko przed 8:00. Wychodziłem godzinę, mimo, że cała moja toaleta polegała na umyciu zębów i przyklepaniu włosków. Pryszcze jeszcze nie wyskoczyły.

Na miejscu zbiórki była już cała reszta 1 ADW. Przyszedł czas na zakupy w Biedronce – taki drużynowy rytuał. Tylko ja miałem kasę… Już nie mam!

Zaopatrzywszy się w Colę Original, ciastka Pa Ruskie (mylnie podpisywane jako Paryskie) i czekoladę z orzechami, którą, nie wiem czemu, pakują tak, że z zewnątrz widać orzechy, a nie wzorek z tabliczki ruszyliśmy w kierunku Fabryki Mebli. Pod murami tego budynku (pisanego wielkimi ze względu na to, że to już właściwie nazwa własna) obmyślaliśmy event, rozważaliśmy egzystencję zająca i przekazywaliśmy sobie informacje na temat swoich rodzin (gdyby się skupić, to drzewo genealogiczne rodziny Mańka trzy pokolenia wstecz bym narysował).
No dobrze, ale już się nie rozdrabniając – torami i walącymi się barakami dotarliśmy do końca miasta. Tam Maniek zobaczył, że zaorano pole, które przez lata leżało odłogiem. Chwycił, więc za swój wykrywacz metalu i popędził po błocie. Mnie niestety (a może i stety biorąc pod uwagą koszta) wykrywanie całkowicie nie interesuje, choć nie powiem, że niektóre znaleziska Maniutka mnie nie ciekawią. Chwyciłem więc komórkę, wlazłem na górę i strzeliłem kilka fotek wrzucając dwie na Blipa.

Ogólnie w miejscu tym jest dość duży pagórek. Podchodząc pod niego widzimy tablicę kończącą Suwałki, zaś schodząc mijamy rozpoczynającą Małą Hutę. Nie dajmy się jednak zwieść nazwie. Z widoku z góry na obie miejscowości związki z krakowską Nową Hutą można przypisać Suwałkom. Podczas gdy po drodze do Małej Huty leży jedna z dwóch najbardziej uprzemysłowionych dzielnic miasta, to widok na samą wieś o wiele bardziej pasuje do Zielonych Płuc Polski. To miejsce nazwaliśmy dzisiaj linia asymetrii, bo pagórki rzeczywiście układają się w linii prostej i ciągną się dość długo jak na Suwalszczyznę.

Maniek obiecał mi pokazać miejsce z lepszym widokiem na wieś. Idąc machał sobie wykrywaczem, gdy niechcący natrafił na coś w ziemi. Wykopał guzik z kompanii pod dowództwem kogoś z rodziny cara. Jak mi wyjaśnił – wojskowi pod dowództwem kogoś z Romanowów mieli inne guziki. Takie właśnie znaleziska mnie interesują!

Przeszliśmy przez ścisłą wieś przy muzyce Akcentu lecącej z mojej komórki. Za zabudowaniami skręciliśmy, by Maniek sprawdził wąski, zaorany pas. Chwila minie i sprawdzi – myślę. A gdzieżby tam! Pas się skończył – zaczął się drugi, z drogi niewidoczny, bo zakryty drzewami. Ten prowadził do dużego pola, a ono do kolejnego pola. Łącznie wszystkiego jest tam, na oko, z 6 hektarów. Raj dla poszukiwaczy. Maniek znalazł kolejną rosyjską rzecz, ale i ja znalazłem coś ruskiego. Maniek znalazł carskie, ja już radzieckie. Maniek znalazł monetę bitą w roku powstania styczniowego, ja telewizor w częściach. Ale byłem z siebie dumny! Pobiłem Mańka w wyszukiwaniu fantów! Szkoda tylko, że kineskopu nie było, a sklejkowa obudowa przegniła.

Co ciekawsze, między dwoma dużymi polami ktoś ustawił stolik, ławeczkę. Nawet śmietnik jest, choć pewnie etnograf jakby zobaczył co zrobiono z kufrem to by zawału dostał. Jest i oczko wodne wielkości wanny znajomej Mańka i ma nawet pomost!

Wymieniwszy kilka smsów z mamą, którą musiałem zapewnić, że nie ciągnę telewizora ze sobą (gdybym był rowerem, to bym to rozważał) dotarliśmy na dość duże, znajome pole. Któregoś razu nie mogąc wyjść na drogę biegaliśmy po nim. Teraz nie jest już obsiane, więc chodziliśmy całkiem swobodnie.

Miejsce pola – na górze, powyżej drzewostanu, między dużymi skupiskami leśnymi nad Kamionką (och jak zimną wodę ma w kwietniu, ale w tym roku wykąpię się w niej w marcu) i jeziorem Koleśnym, a Nową Wsią – spowodowało, że służba leśna ustawiła tu wieżę obserwacyjną. Obserwują z niej, w okresach suszy, czy las się nie pali.

Maniek znowu chodził ze swoim wykrywaczem, więc ja zacząłem obchodzić pole w celu znalezienia czegoś ciekawego. Nic nie widziałem poza dwiema sarnami, które na mój widok pierzchły na grunt po orce. Jaka szkoda, że widzieliśmy je jedynie przez ten czas, gdy zatrzymując się przemierzały 250 metrowy odcinek pola!

Gwoli dygresji – akurat sarny są trudne do obserwacji. Mieszkając od dziecka na Suwalszczyźnie tylko raz lepiej przypatrzyłem się temu wcale nie małemu zwierzęciu. Są mnogie, ale strasznie prędkie. Łatwiejsze do obserwacji są np. łosie. Wiosną zabieram 1 ADW na wypatrzoną przez mnie w październiku pozycję do obserwacji tych zwierząt. Niestety – na razie nie mam roweru.

Ale wracając do saren. Powędrowałem przez pole w kierunku, w którym uciekły. Tak, tak, dogoniłem je, złapałem za nogę. Noga grzęzła w ziemi do połowy buta. Ostatecznie dotarłem do wieży obserwacyjnej, na którą się wspiąłem. Stabilna konstrukcja, 4 metrowe bale, na których stoi odchylają się tylko o 5, góra 10 stopni od pionu. Saren z góry nie dojrzałem, ale za to okazało się, że świetnie widać stąd Park Wiatrowy Suwałki.
Wtedy zdarzył się cud. Włączam aparat, patrzę na ekran, a wiatraków… Nie ma! Patrzę w lufcik gołym okiem – są. Dawid Cooperfield przy moim Lumixie to jakiś tani iluzjonista dla dzieci. Dawid sprawia, że znikają pociągi, Lumix sprawia, że ginie najwyższy park wiatrowy w Polsce. Sfotografowałem za to, jak leśnicy sprawdzają, czy nie ma w pobliżu dymu.

Właściwie to mogę już przejść do Nowej Wsi. Jedynym ciekawszym wydarzeniem po drodze było to, że Maniek znalazł całkiem dobrą latarkę. Wieczorem mnie poinformował, że nawet działa. Kobyła niestety mimo moich usilnych prowokacji olała mnie. A pyrkałem na nią i ichacha wołałem. Nic. Chyba zostanę, przy kobietach z gatunku homo sapiens.

W Nowej Wsi spotkaliśmy się z kolegą. Pobiegaliśmy trochę po lesie i znalazłszy pod ściółką dziesiątki dzikich wysypisk śmieci pożegnaliśmy się. Wyruszyliśmy w kierunku Suwałk, ale zaraz przyjechał po nas tata Mańka. Ogólnie jak widać – wyprawa nudna. Może i są smaczki, ale nie ma przygody. Szkoda. Nadrobimy, następny weekend też mam wolny. Tym razem na pewno będzie się działo…

PS. Kilka zdjęć jeszcze powinienem tu wrzucić, ale słabo wyszły. Z drugiego aparatu może poszło lepiej. W ciągu najbliższego tygodnia będę aktualizował wpis.

I said in my original post about this set that I was lucky enough to get the full set of figures except for the secret figure. Well, I was wrong. I was actually lucky enough to get the full set of figures. The secret figure is, as strongly suggested on the packaging, an angel version of L. The reason I didn’t notice the secret figure to begin with is that it is extremely similar to the non-secret L that comes with a red chair. In my haste, I think I just saw the chair and assumed it was a double, but on closer inspection there are a few key differences: the left arm is not raised, the facial expression is different, and he comes with a halo and a pair of angel wings.

The halo is pretty fragile – the stand that connects the halo with L’s head was already broken right out of the box – but a little bit of glue (or even blu-tac in a pinch) will fix that, and considering that’s the only issue this otherwise excellently made set, it’s hard to complain. This really is a fantastic set of figures; I’m very pleased to have the full set and look forward to doubling the size of the collection with Case File #02 early next year! Thank goodness they’re puchi, not full-size Nendoroids. This concludes the photos of the puchi Death Note characters… for now.

Parce que !

Le GH1 est mon chouchou depuis le début. Pourquoi ?

J’ai eu la chance de tester tout ce qui se fait sur le marché … J’ai préféré le GH1 parce que j’ai déjà d’autres caméras … Gérant d’une société qui propose du matériel de tournage à la location comme la petite P2, la déjà ancienne HVX200 panasonic ou encore la superbe RED One, j’avais au début tout misé sur le 5D mkII … mais voilà, comme je l’ai déjà dit c’est un boitier impossible à utiliser tel quel. Sans un pied, impossible de cadrer corectement à bout de bras avec le LCD … il existe des loupes qui se greffent sur le Viseur, mais c’est quand meme pas donné et pas forcément pratique. L’autre étape qui m’a refroidi c’est la postprod. Etant très exigeant, vu que chez les Machineurs on vend aussi de l’étalonnage, je ne pouvait envisager de rester dans le codec de base des Canon. Hors pour pouvoir exploiter corectemnt les fichiers il faut les transcoder dans un codec plus souple à utiliser et surtout moins destructif en postprod. La phase d’import et de transformation de code doit se faire par une conversion dans Compressor ou par MpegStreamClip par exemple. C’est fastidieux !

Le GH1 propose une ergonomie qui n’est pas parfaite amis qui le rend utilisable directement à la sortie de la boite l’oeil rivé dans le superbe viseur electronique. Ou par le biais du LCD orientable. C’est un plus non négligeable. Autre chose importante le GH1 est le seul appareil qui a un Autofocus efficace en vidéo par détection de contraste. On peut dans le cas ou on utilise un steadycam par exemple quasiment faire conviance a l’autofocus. Un des critères qui on fait que je me suis intéressé à cet appareil c’est son ouverture sur le monde exérieur, au niveau des optiques. Ayant toute une panoplie d’optiques Nikon et Pentax, à l’aide de superbes bagues Novoflex j’ai pu adapter des jolis cailloux et profiter ainsi de mon 50mm f:1,4 qui offre de très jolis flous à pleine ouverture.

L’autre chose importante c’est que son codec AVCHD est entièrement géré dans mon logiciel préféré, Final Cut Pro. La fonction “lister et transférer” permet de dérusher de façon précise, de donner des noms de clips, de n’importer que les parties intéressantes en utilisant des point d’entrée et de sortie, mais aussi de rajouter des métadonnées pour l’indexation. Et compble du luxe ces taches s’effectuent en tache de fond !

Alors oui, le codec du GH1 est un poil moins bon que celui des Canon … mais je trouve que le jeu n’en vaut pas la chandelle comme on dit souvent. Je préfère sacrifier un peu de la qualité d’image sur l’hotel de l’ergonomie.

Le 7D est arrivé dans ma besace je vais pouvoir le tester plus en profondeur … mais je pense que la route est longue pour arriver à me combler comme le fait le GH1

Korábban már eljátszották ezt egy óriás galambbal, paddal és további dolgokkal, melyeket lentebb meg tudtok csodálni.

Hmmm….should I get this camera?!

My crazed for camera is still burning hottt….from a sony P & S, I lust a DSLR hence bought a Nikon D70s. After 3 years carrying around the bulkier DSLR I bought a used P & S…Lumix FX30. After a year using the Lumix P &S and occasionally shoot using the Nikon DSLR….now I’m lusting for a new Compact size camera but with the DSLR quality image!

Yulian menambahkan, “Salah satu teknologi terbaru asli dari Lumix yang terdapat dalam rangkaian kamera compact digitalnya adalah Power O.I.S Image Stabilizer, yang memiliki double corrective power dari model sebelumnya sekaligus meningkatkan ISO sensitivity sehingga pengguna dapat mengambil foto dengan hasil yang tajam, meskipun lokasinya kurang terang, atau foto diambil pada malam hari, atau tangan si pemotret bergerak saat mengambil foto.

Teknologi lain yang telah disempurnakan pada seri kamera compact digital Lumix terbaru ini adalah teknologi face recognition. Sebelumnya face recognition hanya mampu mengenali satu wajah, sedangkan kini face recognition dapat mengingat hingga tiga wajah yang telah tersimpan dalam kamera, meskipun di tengah keramaian. Teknologi face recognition juga mampu mengoptimalkan focus dan pencahayaan sehingga foto yang dihasilkan lebih terang dan tajam.

Kamera Lumix FZ35 memiliki 18x optical zoom ditambah fungsi corrective power untuk pembesaran gambar lebih jernih dan dapat menghasilkan foto hybrid atau gambar bergerak dengan Power O.I.S. Kamera Lumix FX65 untuk mengabadikan keindahan di malam hari dengan tajam dan jernih dengan Power OIS, waktu start up 1,1 detik, kecepatan AF kira-kira 0,28 detik, dan Intelligent Auto (iA) mode dengan peningkatan face recognition yang dapat mengenali hingga tiga wajah, lensa F2.8, 25mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT dengan 5x optical zoom.
