Lupe has done it again. Me and Flyy Guyy were having a deep conversation about how amazing this Tape is. I mean it’s so Dope he went with a Casette Style who else can pull that off. Right now my favorite Track will have to be “Yoga Flame”. He kills the old lil wayne Fireman beat with a fine example of lyrical progression. Honestly this is a must have tape if you are a true Hip-Hop loving individual. Linkage below…

Ok. Folks, you must forgive me for this but it is soo worth it.  I was really trying to avoiding two musical post s in a row but I could not help myself and thus I will keep is short and hopefully you will let the clicker and your ears make the correct decision.

Please…Please…Please take a second to download Lupe Fiasco’s new mixtape “Enemy of the State: A Love Story.”  It is absolutely incredible…it is honestly going to take a lot of your attention and patience just to begin understanding some of the metaphors and references he makes.  He is so far beyond his so called “compition” that it is almost unfathomable.  Just TRUST ME….

p.s. Recently MTV leased a Top Ten Hip Hop MC’s list but Lupe Fiasco’s name was oddly absent.  In my humble opinion (and very obviously) this is Lupe’s claim for his seat in the ivory towers of Hip Hop…AND Lupe’s REVENGE is a death threat to those on the MTV list…

Well well well, seems like my prayers have been answered and Lupe is coming out with a new mixtape on Thanksgiving. To me this is a breath of fresh air seeing as though all I’ve been listening to for the past few months is Gucci Mane(smh), Waka Flocka and local artists(not that I don’t enjoy local artists, they make some of the best music). The mixtape is supposedly the newest addition to the “Fahrenheit 1/15 series”. Here’s the video confirming it as well as 3 other albums  and AT LEAST one other mixtape.

…Video link messing up, but he basically said he wants the #1 spot so he will put out as many albums as it takes and his new mixtape will be out Thanksgiving night.

Lupe has been talking about his mistape for a about 3 weeks now and all the music websites are buzzing about it. He has finally come up with a name for it however he wont reveal it till closer to when he releases on the 25th. So sometime in the next 24 hours we should hear the name and hopefully a couple tracks from his much awaited tape.

Update

Lupe now says that the mix tape will be pushed back to Thanksgiving night on thursday. He also goes on to explain why he decided to start putting out a series of mixtapes when he announced much earlier this year that he would be leaving the music industry soon and focusing more on his other ventures like his clothing line. Here’s what he said:

He was inspired by the MTV News’ Hottest MCs in the Game list

“The last six months, it’s been like, ‘I gotta really, really go out there and show that I’m nicer than all of them,’ ” Lupe said. “It’s like, ‘All right, so be it. If it takes three more albums to do it, then so be it.’ That’s what I got left with Atlantic. Three more after Lasers. I’m already done with two. The mixtape is coming Thanksgiving. It’ll be another mixtape after that and an album after that. It’s really to get that status and lock it in and [and have people] be like, ‘Look at this positive dude, the underdog. The positive one who came and murdered all these dudes. And he’s there, and he’s good.’ “

It’s actually a pretty long interview but i know you all dig lupe sort of like i dig lupe…so it’s interesting. really it’s mainly him talking about how he felt like he lost his passion (obviously, talking retirement and all) and recently got it back when going through his old mixtape catalogue. he feels like his old shit is still completely relevant and fresh today (which i would mostly agree with).

…it’s like, ‘yo, I was doing that back then?’ That record is almost 6 years old. And it’s still fresh, it still has meaning, and I forgot some of the lyrics so I’m like, ‘that metaphor was kind of crazy.’ It was just like, ‘am I doing that right now? Have I maintained that?…Why would I stray away and not come as hard on every record like I was doing before? That was real. Yeah, I’m gonna go back. I’m gonna go back into the studio and try to beat myself, try to take myself back to where I was.’
