Holy mas its been one festive day on Inkigayo,just about every damn idol star appear on their Christmas special.South Korea is most definitely in the  mood for ballad,break ups, and a few mindless pop songs.Despite all the K-pop stars there on Inkigayo only one can take home a Mutizen.You can pretty much figure out which idol group took home the win.

This holiday season is a little bit blue all over the small world.Jewelry performs there song “Love Story” which is kinda ironic.Two members will be living Jewelry by the end of year Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah.These lovely ladies will  began their solo careers instead of continuing as idol group stars.Seems that Jewelry is putting their all in this last performance together.

Younha “Today,I Broke Up” is becoming super popular,congrats girl.I’m so glad to see string instrumentalist on stage instead of hearing a play back track.

CL and Minji perform “Please Don’t Go” which is a mobile phone favorite.This song still hasn’t grown on me in fact its becoming so annoying.This song is just to damn cheesy for my taste but would make a great workout song.

Sexy and cute MBLAQ performs “Good Luv” I just want Joon for x-mas.

Brian is sexy with “My Girl” and I’m sorta feeling this song a bit.I am not fully feeling that hair style,fire the hair stylist!

Would be a nice way to describe my chest and lymph node area right now.  I think burnt to a gross bubbling curdling painful peeling mess is more accurate.  I am excited to say I finished radiation Monday of this week.  I went twice a day for 4 and a half weeks.  Even on Black Friday, they actually opened the place up just for me.  I didn’t miss a single appointment and when the machine broke I agreed to driving half an hour to a different facility.  When I woke up Tuesday morning, I was in a short state of confusion about what to do with myself.  Of course I have my 2 year old and 4 year old to keep me busy, and there’s holiday stuff to be done, but surely I should be at the cancer center at some point today right?  Then I remembered, nope I’m done.  From here it’s just Herceptin every three weeks with doctor’s appts. and check-ups.  Feels kind of strange after the last 8 months.  I asked when my first post-cancer scans would be and was told ‘not for a while’.  I’ll ask my regular oncologist at my appt. next week because I think I would like to know that I’m still clear.  As for regular life, I am looking to the future.  I enrolled to take a couple of medical classes starting Jan. 4th, thinking to combine my business degree and background and maybe work in the medical business field.  We’ll see.  It’s a nice relief to see a possible future after being diagnosed 8 months ago with IBC, what goals I’m working on don’t seem as important this minute as the fact that I’m still here to work on them.

There I am, photographer to the couple. When Jason approached me to do this for them, he didn’t know what he was getting cos he asked me to photograph his wedding dinner only. So there I was, cooking up plans and ways to photograph for them and came up with this approach where I will follow them through the whole process of the wedding.

Finally, after much prep work and getting the couple to see what I have planned, I met up with the couple two days back and they were buzzing with excitement. The occasion, choosing everything and decisions for their wedding dinner. It wasn’t an easy task to select things that came along such a great occasion, but here’s the photographs whilst they were doing that.

Somehow, weddings always give me good vibes and a proper reason to do more than I need to when it comes to photography. Where’s the fun in photographing a wedding dinner when I don’t really know the couple?

Hence, I always made it a point to get to know them, and as time goes, it becomes a good way of getting better photos that makes sense. And a few new friends along the way.

Weddings are always better if they both decide... naturally...

I do think they make a wonderful couple, and everytime I shoot a wedding, the photos always tells their love…

I have been to a handful of weddings. Some greater than others. The wedding I went to last Saturday, Lizzie’s and Nelson’s wedding, was definitely top 3. There’s something about going to a wedding and seeing a couple vow to be with each other forever. It’s quite beautiful. It’s quite sad that my gay friends cannot share in this joy, either. One day, I hope I can retract that statement.

Lizzie planned out her wedding in two months. I repeat, two MONTHS!  The reception was at the Hotel Derek. The ceremony at St. Cyril. And it was joyful. Completely beautiful. Lizzie’s family was absolutely happy.  And there was a lot to be thankful about. A lot to be joyful for.

Some highlights:

I’m really sorry if I’m not making any sense on this post.  I just finished writing a 20 page research proposal as a final assignment. And I have to do a poster presentation on Saturday. So much fun!!

This week has gone by pretty fast. Had my last day of the semester on Wednesday. It was dramatic and unnecessary. My Practice lab has always been dramatic and I don’t know why the last day shouldn’t have been as well. I finished my hours at my internship. I will continue to go once a week so that I can keep track of my kids. I made some strides today. I started seeing kids on my own and I did my first official assessment and have my first case on my caseload!

It may seem like nothing, but to me, it’s pretty exciting stuff! The kids are starting to warm up to me and I love it. I love what I’m doing and these kids are awesome.

The GREATEST NEWS EVER is that Houstonians may see some snow tomorrow!!! Texas never sees snow. Houston actually saw some last year, when I was in Boston, and everyone was calling my phone talking about how awesome the snow is, while in Boston, it was just freezing, with not a lick of ice. Ironic.

I am going to sleep in tomorrow. And it will be wonderful.

Today, Nick, Pinot & I set off for Mays Landing, NJ to visit with my wonderful cousins, George, Peggy, Jim, Jerry, Lyn and Roman.  And the puppies, Sally and Princess Leia.  It was great to see everyone and have the entire day to visit – wonderful family, great conversation, and scrumptious food – which was not anything turkey related!  (On the contrary – an awesome cabbage meatloaf soup, mac and cheese, ham, german potato salad, coleslaw, broiled shrimp & bruschetta – YUM!)  We were very tempted to ditch the original plan and stay overnight, but then in remembering that tomorrow is the last day of the long weekend and we had to travel primarily on I95S, we decided to leave at around 11PM and just come home tonight.  It was a great day, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
