The Republican Party is about two inches from being lumped in with the Larouchites as a party of kooks.  Their teabagger shock troops are completely out of control, and statements like this are dropping like turds all across the country:

“Democrats have a jobs program,” he said. “First they’ll make jobs housing the terrorists here. And then they might create more jobs dealing with the havoc [the terrorists] create.”

It’s really up to progressive Democrats to highlight this rampant extremism and hang it around the necks of Boehner, McConnell and Steele.  (I kind of like the sound of that . . . Wynken, Blynken and Nod . . . Curly, Larry and Moe . . . Martin, Barton and Fish . . .)

The Satanic Bible to Novice Satanists is considered a viable source, however to the more knowledgeable and educated person its represents nothing more than another H. P. Lovecraft type novel. While many groups and organizations today claim to be “Satanic”, only the philosophy practiced by the members of the Church of Satan and those who adhere to The Satanic Bible can rightfully be called Satanists. Once again to think the accomplishments of Allee, Aquino, Vera, or Blackwood mean nothing is simply arrogant and shows us the example of how The Church of Satan pretends to be elite and offers up little other than the rants of a long dead “Carnival Showman” and his inheritors who can barely muster a Satanic Ideology. All others are merely variations of Christian Heretics and devil worshipers. Given the recent upsurge in alleged ritual abuse, now more than ever, it is essential that only one definition of Satanism be accepted. The variations make it a variable religion as a whole, and to claim it as your own shows plain ignorance and poor thought, the true inheritors to our religion are those who run the other organizations throughout the world, not only from a desktop but from a room, and from an office. Lets revisit Anton La Vey and his falsehoods once again to expose the falsehood of The Church of Satan courtesy of various authorship. This information can be found on www.templesofsatan.com Myth 1. His name was actually Anton Szandor LaVey. “Anton Szandor LaVey” was not his birth name, in fact it was actually  “Howard Stanton Levey”. [SOURCES: Birth certificate 4/11/1930, Cook County, Illinois. Confirmed by relatives.] Myth 2.  Anton LaVey and the people who follow his  “philosophy” are the “real” Satanists, while the Satanic killers like the Mansons and the Night Stalker Killer are just the “nuts”. The truth is, LaVey prescribed rituals for Satanists that normal people would find crazy. For instance, a nude girl is used as an altar (Satanic Bible, Satanic Rituals). A human skull is used in Die Elektrischen Vorspiele ritual (Satanic Rituals, p. 109). A human leg bone or arm bone is used in Homage to Tchort ritual (p.137). A woman dressed as nun urinates before group into a bedpan in the Black Mass ritual (p.43). The urine is then sprinkled like holy water (p.44). A man climbs into coffin with nude woman (or nude man if he is gay) in Le Epais ritual (p.59). LaVey gives instructions for “turning into a werewolf” that include running around outside on all fours with a wolf mask (The Devil’s Notebook) . LaVey claimed nuts were quickly given “the bum’s rush” when they tried to join his Church of Satan. That still didn’t stop two of the Masons (Susan Atkins and Bobby Beaseliel) and Richard “The Night Stalker ” Rameriez from joining. Satanist Patricia Hall was arrested for murder of an elderly man in Florida, and participated in the flogging and gang rape of a teenage girl. She claimed to have been baptized by LaVey himself, which he of course later denied.  There have also been other thrill killers that have claimed to have been members of the Church of Satan, even though LaVey later deined it. Even if they weren’t officially CoS members (most Satanist aren’t), it proves criminally minded, violent people are attracted to Satanism. Susan Atkins actually appeared with LaVey and a couple of other girls in a corny strip club act. She played a vampire, not surprising when you consider she licked the blood stained knife she killed Sharon Tate and her unborn child with.  Bobby Beausoleil appeared in the movie by fellow Church of Satan member Kenneth Anger, Lucifer Rising. During the Tate/Labianca murders, Beausoleil told his terrified vicitms, “I’m the Devil, and I’m here to do the Devil’s business!” A fourth  killer/cannibal, Stanley Baker,  who actually ate his victims, was caught en route to meet LaVey. Would LaVey have given this 3rd person the heave ho? Maybe, Maybe not. LaVey claimed that he too,  and members of the Church of Satan, once dined on a human leg (Satan Wants You, also mentioned in The Church of Satan and The Secret Life of a Satanist). The leg was obtained (obviously illeagally) by a CO$ member who was a pathologist from  a local hospital, at least according to LaVey. No LaVey family member has ever denied this event happened. The leg was prepared by Diane in Triple Sec with fried grub worms on the side, supposedly how they serve human flesh in New Guinea. The only participant who reportedly ate the worms was LaVey’s 3 year old daughter Zeena, and most members were to sqeemish to actually eat the leg meat. See the Occult Crime webpage and you’ll notice a disproportionate number of crimes commited by Satanists. There’s a reason for that, and it can’t be dismissed as “Satanic panic”. Myth 3. LaVey claimed his parents were Joseph and Augusta LaVey. They were actually named Michael and Gertrude Levey. He probably lied about their real names to cloud his uneventful past. LaVey claimed he was introduced to the Dark Side by his Transylvanian Gypsy grandmother, who regaled him as a child with supernatural folklore and tales of vampires and werewolves. But his grandmother was not Transylvanian nor of Gypsy stock. She was a Ukrainian named Cecile Luba Primokov-Coulton (”Coulton” was Anglicized from “Koltonoff”). Despite his frequent claims, ASL had no Gypsy ancestry. Gypsies are very clannish people, and seldom marry non-Gypsies. [SOURCES: Relatives, including ASL's parents. King of The Gypsies by Richard Maas] Myth 5.  In 1945 the 15-year-old ASL was brought to the ruins of postwar Germany by his uncle, a U.S. Coast Guard officer. There the teenaged ASL was shown top-secret films inspired by Satanic cult lodges and their rituals. ASL claimed that the “German” rituals in his 1972 book  The Satanic Rituals were actual transcripts of the filmed rituals he saw as a youth. In fact, little Howie spent the entirety of 1945 in suburban northern California, and never visited Germany at any time in his life. The uncle who he claimed brought him to Germany was incarcerated at McNeill Island Penitentiary for involvement with Al Capone-related criminal activity during 1945, and was never even in the armed forces. Allied martial law forbade U.S. citizens from visiting postwar Germany. The “German” rituals in The Satanic Rituals are written in extremely poor, Anglicized German. They are clearly uncredited adaptations of the short story _The Hounds of Tindalos_ by Frank Belknap Long and H.G. Wells’ famous novel  The Island of Dr. Moreau. The 15-year-old ASL played second oboe with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, making him the youngest musician ever to play with that prestigious institution. There was in fact, no “San Francisco Ballet Orchestra” in 1945. The San Francisco Ballet was accompanied by a local orchestra, whose records show that none of its three oboists was named “Levey” or “LaVey”. The Circus employed the 17-year-old as a lion tamer. He then replaced the Circus calliope player, accompanying such famous Beatty acts as the Concellos, Harold Alanza, and the Cristianis. But the reality is, the voluminous Beatty archives show no record of a “Levey” or “LaVey” as lion tamer or musician. The Concellos, Alanza, and Cristianis were never Beatty performers; they worked exclusively for the Ringling Brothers Circus. There he met a young stripper named Marilyn Monroe, with whom he had a passionate love affair in the period before her rise to film stardom. According to ASL, Monroe had resorted to stripping to pay her rent. As proof of his relationship with Monroe, ASL later showed visitors a copy of Monroe’s famous nude calendar inscribed “Dear Tony, How many times have you seen this! Love, Marilyn”. Guess what? He lied! LaVey never knew Monroe. Monroe intimate Robert Slatzer and Harry Lipton, Monroe’s agent in 1948, have exposed and discredited this tale. Lipton paid Monroe’s expenses, including her rent. Paul Valentine, director of the Mayan Theater, has stated that the Mayan was never a burlesque theater, and that neither Monroe nor ASL ever worked for the Mayan in any capacity. Diane LaVey, ASL’s former wife, has admitted that she forged the “Monroe” inscription on the calendar. ASL’s former publicist Edward Webber claims ASL admitted he never knew Monroe. If you were hoping Satanism could help you get girls (or guys), it can’t. Frank Moser, who was a SFPD photographer in the early 1950s, said that ASL never worked for the Department. In the snuff film Death Scenes, the narator mentions LaVey was given a book of crime scene photos by a police photographer friend, which is probably how LaVey conned people into believeing he himself had been a police photographer. ASL studied criminology at San Francisco City College during the Korean War.  SFCC has no record of ASL’s enrollment at any time. LaVey was, in fact, a high school dropout who never attended college or even earned his G.E.D. (And sorry, reading a bunch of books doesn’t count as a college education). Anton LaVey is often refered to as “Dr. LaVey”.  LaVey never actually earned a doctorate, he simply awarded himself a “Doctorate of Satanic Theology”. The Church of Satan was not authorized to grant degrees by the State of California, so it was about like anyone  awarding themselves any type of degree they felt qualified for. Or it’s like buying a $29.95 “Doctor of Divnity” degree from the Universal Life Church. The degree was not a genuine college degree, and actually worthless other than as a novelty item, or to impress non-critical youung readers. LaVey in fact never attended college, but was a high school dropout, as mentioned. You could download the faux “Doctor of Demonology” degree from the equally faux Miskatoic University on the homepage, and it would have the same academic value. Myth 12. LaVey did not actually claim to believe in magic. This is a myth atheistic Satanist believe in. The reality is, the Satanic Bible gave very specific details about how to casr spells to make them effective. LaVey detailed timing, imagery, clothing, the balance factor, which Enochian key to use for what purpose, etc., LaVey also warned Satanist to always acknowledge the things that they had gained by magic, or else they would lose them. In the Devil’s Notebook, there’s a chapter about how to make Satanic Magic work. LaVey seemed to eschew mysticism, but also endorse it. In his ghost written autobiography, The Secret Life of a Satanist, Lavey mentions a mysterous strecth of California highway where he “saw something large and black crawling sideways like a crab”. He claimed after Jayne Mansfield’s death, a lightbulb blew out and his wife saw a ghostly pink heart. Anothert time, he crawled under a theater that was about to be torn down, and saw “unearthly things” like demons, and got out when he saw something flying toward him. He also claimed that as a child electrical equipment malfunctioned whenever daughter Zeena was around. Clearly, his view was ambiguous at best. Myth 13. LaVey treated the members of the Church of Satan kindly and was unjustly stabbed in the back by many of them. The reality is LaVey routinely blackmailed members of the Church of Satan, according to defector P.E.I. Bonewitz, whom LaVey called a “not-so-sour-grapes authority” in the Devil’s Notebook. It seems it was LaVey who was doing the backstabbing. [SOURCE: Real Magic by P.E.I. Bonewitz] Myth 14.  The Church of Satan was a body of open minded and tolerant individuals. Defector P.E.I. Bonewitz noted most of the members of the Church of Satan were racists. LaVey seemed at first to welcome homosexuals, Jews, blacks, and anyone else into his church in the 1960’s who had cash to join. But by the 80’s, LaVey was writing to appeal to Neo-Nazis and KKK members, as The Church of Satan and The Secret Life of a Satanist indicate. LaVey supposedly accepted a membership in the National Resistance Party ( a Neo-Nazi Group) in 1970, according to defector Michael Aquino. In 1979 the NRP  staged  a rally marking the 10th aniversary of the “sacrifice” of Sharon Tate by Charles Manson, in which the daughter Zeena read from the Satanic Bible. Zeena herself seems to be anti-Semetic from some of her online writings (who do you think she learned it from) and is married to a Manson follower named Nicholas Shrek. Aquino’s break away group, The Temple of Set, is disturbinbgly facinated with Nazism. The Satanic movement seems to attract a very high percentage of racists and Neo-Nazis. {SOURCES Real Magic by P.E.I. Church of Satan defector’s have noted LaVey never really made his position on the Devil’s existence clear. Michael Aquino for instance said at times LaVey seemed to say Satan was a dark force of nature, and at other times he seemed to talk as though he believed the Devil were a personification – - even referring to him as “the man downstairs”. His position seems ambiguous at best. [SOURCE: Crystal Tablet of Set by Michael Aquino] Myth 16.  ASL purchased the house at 6114 California Street (which would later become the headquarters of the Church of Satan – the infamous “Black House”) because he discovered on first inspection that it was the former brothel of Barbary Coast madam Mammy Pleasant. The house was honeycombed with trapdoors and secret passageways, built by Pleasant to elude police raids. The fact is  6114 was actually ASL’s parents’ home. It was never a brothel, nor did Mammy Pleasant ever live or work there. ASL’s parents first allowed ASL and his first wife Carole to live in the house, then transferred ownership of it to ASL and his second wife Diane in 1971. Such secret passages and hidden rooms that exist were constructed by ASL. Myth 17.  In the 1950s ASL traveled to Nice, France, where he recorded an album of organ music under the pseudonym of “Georges Montalba”. The fact is LaVey’s first and only trip to France was in the mid-1970s, when his Dutch disciple Maarten Lamers, Amsterdam sex club owner, financed his voyage. The “ASL=Montalba” story appeared in 1989, when a gullible Church of Satan member found a Montalba album and suggested that it was similar to ASL’s own music. ASL, never pleased by competition, responded with the preposterous “pseudonym” claim – which is still ardently supported by his posthumous followers.Georges Montalba (or George Montalba) was the psuedonym used by pipe organist Robert Hunter, a resident of Glendale, CA. In 1958 Hunter/Montalba recorded Pipe Organ Favorites & Fantasy in Pipe Organ and Percussion at  Lorin Whitney Studios.  He later went on to work with George Burns and Carol Channing on broadway, in addition to working with Leopold Stokowski, Shirely Temple, Eleanor Roosevelt, Nelson Eddy, Judy Garland, Two Popes,  and John & Jacquelyn Kennedy to name a few! His career spanned 60 years! He was a Christian, too, by the way! Even though Hit Thing records has re-issued Montalba’s album complete with liner notes and an explanation of the LaVey/Montalba hoax, the CoS (at this writing) is still apparently promoting the lie LaVey was Montalba (along with many other lies)!   [SOURCES: Hit Thing Records, Diane LaVey, Zeena LaVey,] Myth 18.  ASL was the official city organist for San Francisco until 1966, playing for gala events such as government banquets and political meetings.  The fact is San Francisco has never had an “official city organist”! According to ASL’s first wife Carole, his only income of $29.91/week was generated by his regular engagement at the “Lost Weekend” nightclub, where he was the house Wurlitzer organist. Carole LaVey's divorce proceeding records (Wright, "SD", page 68).] Myth 19.  On the night of April 30, 1966 (the German Satanic festival of Walpurgisnacht), ASL in a “blinding flash” declared himself the High Priest of Satan, proclaimed that the Age of Satan had begun, and founded the Church of Satan as a religious institution. The fact is In 1966 ASL supplemented his income by presenting weekend lectures on exotic and occult topics, and by conducting “Witches’ Workshops”. He charged $2 a head, filling his living room with the curious and establishing a local reputation as an eccentric. Professional publicist Edward Webber suggested to ASL that he “would never make any money by lecturing on Friday nights for donations … it would be better to form some sort of church and get a charter from the State of California … I told Anton at the time that the press was going to flip out over all this and that we would get a lot of notoriety”. In the summer of 1966, long after the fictional founding-date invented later, a newspaper article about ASL’s lectures offhandedly referred to him as “priest of the Devil’s church”. This mixture of Webber’s idea and the newspaper’s characterization resulted in the creation of the Church of Satan as a business and publicity vehicle. Jack Webb, a San Francisco Police investigator who knew ASL from the “Lost Weekend” nightclub, also suggested that he should form a church of some kind to exploit his “recondite knowledge”. [SOURCES: Edward Webber (interview by Aquino 6/2/91), Jack Webb, Diane LaVey.] Myth 20.  ASL’s trademark shaved head was the result of a ceremonial head-shaving on April 30, 1966, to formalize his role as High Priest of Satan. This ritual was performed in the tradition of the Yezidi devil-worshipping tribes of Iraq, who had a similar ceremony. LaVey shaved his head in the summer of 1966 due to a light-hearted dare from his wife. The “LaVey look” had nothing to do with the Church of Satan founding nor any mystical meaning attached to it later. Nor do Yezidi “qawwals” (religious teachers) shave their heads. Edmonds, A Pilgrimage to Lalish, Royal Asiatic Society, 1967.] Myth 21  In 1966 ASL personally designed the Baphomet emblem of the Church of Satan. He owns the right to this design, claiming it cannot be reproduced without obtaining licensing rights from the Church of Satan. The Baphomet emblem used by the Church of Satan was neither original to it nor created by ASL, hence cannot be trademarked. The original Baphomet dates at least as far back as the medieval Knights Templar. The artwork for the current emblem’s goat/pentagram first appears in a 1931 book by Oswald Wirth. The complete emblem with the added circles and “LVYThN” Hebrew letters appears on the cover of a book by Maurice Bessy two years before the creation of the Church of Satan. Early photos of Church activities often show ASL or his disciples using the Bessy book as a photo-prop because of its prominent cover with Baphomet, and he included that book in his Compleat Witch bibliography. The Baphomet, including this rendition of it, is clearly in the public domain. Hilton, Sex and the Occult, Vol. I, Los Angeles: Centurion Press, 1974;Church of Satan members, The Black Flame (a 1980s Church of Satan magazine).] Myth 22  LaVey served as technical advisor for the 1968 Roman Polanski film Rosemary’s Baby, and also played the curiously-uncredited part of the Devil in that film. LaVey actually had no involvement with Rosemary’s Baby! Polanski’s close friend Gene Gutowski (original producer of the film) stated that there was no technical advisor, nor did ASL ever even meet Polanski. Producer William Castle, who details all aspects of the film’s production in his autobiography, never mentions ASL. He does describe Polanski’s diligence in basing the film exactly on the Ira Levin novel from which it was adapted, eliminating any need for technical advice. The father of the actress who played Mia Farrow’s body-double in the Devil scene recalled that a young, very slender professional dancer played the part, dressed in a small rubber suit. In 1971 this suit was acquired by Studio One Productions in Louisville, Kentucky, for use in a low-budget horror film Asylum of Satan. Michael Aquino, technical advisor for that film, examined the suit and concluded that the 200-pound, 6-foot ASL could not possibly have worn it. [The suit was worn by a girl in the Asylum film.] Not a single member of the cast or crew of Rosemary’s Baby has ever mentioned ASL’s involvement. In 1968 a San Francisco theater did ask ASL to make an appearance at the film’s local opening as a promotional event. This appears to have been ASL’s only connection with the film that engendered the 1960s’ popular interest in Satanism.   Aside from a couple of documentaries (Witchcraft ‘70 and Satanis) the only horror movies LaVey seems to have actually had a hand in was a 1990’s snuff film called Death Scenes, and The Devil’s Rain (1975), which was a movie LaVey never seemed to mention or reccomend in his writings. The film was a box office flop, and the distributor actually went bankrupt because of it! Prior to that, they had big success with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Deep Throat. Anton and Diane LaVey both had bit parts in the film. The Devil’s Rain had rituals taken word for word out of The Satanic Bible and The Satanic Rituals and no doubt further convinced some Church of Satan members LaVey had indeed “sold out”. The Church of Satan broke up the same year as the movie’s release. The plot was about a 300 year old Satanic cult leader (played by Ernest Borgnine) that turned his followers into souless zombies, who followed him blindly. The zombie followers got destroyed in the end, while he escaped unharmed, laughing. Perhaps the reason LaVey wanted to forget the film was it showed how he really thought of people who followed him! Publicity agent Tony Kent, an associate of Ed Webber, arranged the meeting between Mansfield and ASL as a publicity stunt.  She was never serious about Satanism. ASL was smitten with the actress. Mansfield, who made no secret of her many affairs, denied knowing ASL intimately, and no associate of hers has ever confirmed any supposed romance with ASL. In a 1967 interview she said, “He had fallen in love with me and wanted to join my life with his. It was a laugh.” According to ASL’s publicist Edward Webber, Mansfield would ridicule her Satanic suitor by calling from her Los Angeles home and seductively teasing him while her friends listened in on the conversation. ASL’s public claims that he had an affair with Mansfield began only after Mansfield’s death in an automobile accident, which he also claimed was the result of a curse he had placed on her lover Sam Brody. A common trick used by sorcerers is to later claim some misfortune that befell an enemy was a result of a curse, even though no curse was thrown. ASL wrote the Satanic Bible, his principal work, to fulfill his congregation’s need for a scriptural guide. The Satanic Bible was actually conceived as a commercial vehicle by paperback publisher Avon Books. Avon approached ASL for some kind of Satanic work to cash in on the Satanism & witchcraft fad of the late 1960s. Pressed for material to meet Avon’s deadline, ASL resorted to plagiarism, assembling extracts from an obscure 1896 tract – Might is Right by Ragnar Redbeard into a “Book of Satan” for the SB, and claiming its authorship by himself. [Ironically these MiR passages are the ones most frequently quoted by ASL disciples.] Another third of the SB consists of John Dee’s “Enochian Keys”, taken directly but again without attribution from Aleister Crowley’s Equinox. The SB’s “Nine Satanic Statements”, one of the Church of Satan’s central doctrines, is a paraphrase, again unacknowledged, of passages from Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. The last words in the SB – “Yankee Rose” – have been puzzled over for years by readers. “YR” is actually the name of an old popular tune in ASL’s nightclub repertoire. Myth 25. ASL claimed that at the height of the Church of Satan’s popularity there were hundreds of thousands of formal members. But Diane LaVey (who administered the Church as High Priestess 1966-1984), Michael A. Aquino (senior Magister of the Church and Editor of its Cloven Hoof newsletter 1971-1975), and Zeena LaVey (High Priestess of the Church 1985-1990) have all affirmed that the figures claimed by ASL were grossly exaggerated. The membership of the Church of Satan never exceeded 300 individuals, several of whom were nonmember subscribers to the newsletter or ASL friends receiving complimentary mailings. Satan Wants You, Arthur Lyons] Myth 26.  ASL claimed to be a multimillionaire, owning three homes in northern California, a convent in Italy, a chateau in France, a fleet of luxury automobiles, a 185-foot yacht, three salvage ships, and other property. LaVey initally claimed he made $50,000 a year during the Church of Satan’s heydey, and even that figure is probably exaggerated. During Diane [LaVey] Hegarty’s 1988-91 lawsuit against ASL, and ASL’s subsequent 1991 filing for bankruptcy, ASL stipulated under oath that he owned nothing more than 50% of the house his parents had given jointly to him and Diane, along with the personal items he kept therein. Even though apologists claim LaVey lived “comfortably” in his final years, the facts speak otherwise! The CoS website claims (at this writing) LaVey made “five figures” the last year of his life, in typical doublespeak. “Five figures” could be as little as $10,000. ASL’s final years were subsidized by California state aid (next time you see someone pay at the grocery store with WIC or food stamps, think of Anton LaVey). Assessors declared the house to be in such poor repair as to be nearly worthless on the real estate market. Family members have attested to the fact that by the mid-1970s the LaVeys lived in near-poverty, frequently having to rely upon ASL’s father’s generosity. According to other LaVey relatives, ASL continued to rely on handouts from friends and relatives until the end of his life. Sammy Davis, Jr. was invited to accept an honorary membership in the Church of Satan by Michael Aquino. After Davis sent Aquino his acceptance on March 17, 1973, he was presented with the honorary membership on April 13, 1973 by Aquino and Karla LaVey alone. ASL did not meet Davis until August 1973. Davis would later renounce Satanism, claiming later he was "only into it for the chicks" and re-embraced Judaism. At a nationaly televised event honoring him a few weeks before he died, Davis said "First of all, I want to thank Jesus for letting me be here tonight", completely shattering any doubt he had any lingering affinty to Satanism. Reality was quite differnt. ASL violently beat his wife Diane throughout their marriage. In 1984 a police report was made describing Diane being strangled into unconsciousness by ASL, who was in such a murderous rage that his daughter Karla had to pull him off Diane and drag her outside the house to save her life. ASL routinely physically beat and abused those of his female disciples with whom he had sex, forcing them into prostitution as part of his “Satanic counseling” and collecting their earnings. In 1986 ASL was a passive witness to the sexual molestation of his own grandson by a longtime friend who was later convicted of sex crimes with minors. In 1990 ASL informed a mentally-ill stalker of his daughter Zeena of her whereabouts and the time & location of a public appearance she was scheduled to make, deliberately endangering her life. ASL had a deeply affectionate relationship with Togare, his pet lion.While ASL was always careful to portray himself to the public as an animal lover, in private he was cruel to and neglectful of his pets. When he was given Togare as a cub in 1964, he was ill-equipped to deal with such an exotic, wild animal despite his pretensions as a circus lion-tamer. As Togare became larger and more unruly, ASL frequently used an electric cattle prod to hurt and frighten him into submission. Many animal-rights proponents, including Togare’s final owner Tippi Hedren, agree that it is detrimental to a wild animal’s development to be raised in a domestic environment. ASL was arrested due to Togare’s unruly behavior, and ASL was ordered to donate him to the San Francisco Zoo. After complying, ASL made only two visits to Togare. Due to the trauma of his early life, Togare needed special care at the Zoo and at every animal-care facility in which he subsequently lived. ASL had a deeply affectionate relationship with his other pets. In the late 1960s ASL acquired a Doberman Pinscher (Loki) as an accent to his “sinister” image. ASL never took the time to housebreak or train Loki, and relegated him to the overgrown and unkempt backyard of the house, regardless of weather. If Loki ever tried to slip into the house for shelter, ASL routinely used Togare’s cattle-prod on him to terrify him back outside. In his old age Loki developed such severe arthritis that he could not climb the stairs to the back door to eat, and began wasting away from malnutrition. ASL then gave him to one of his prostitute “students”, who at least saw that Loki had a warm, inside home until he died a few months later. During her young childhood ASL’s daughter Zeena once awoke late at night to hear slamming sounds and the shrieking of her German Shepherd puppy. Running downstairs, she saw ASL savagely beating the cowering, cornered dog with a wooden plank. When Zeena begged ASL to stop and asked him what the dog had done to deserve such treatment, ASL screamed, “She won’t listen to me! I’m going to force her to obey me!” ASL continued beating the dog until her face was covered with her blood, then dropped the plank and left the dog quivering in the hallway, so injured and frightened that she wouldn’t let even Zeena come near her. This incident left the dog traumatized for a long time afterwards.[SOURCES: Diane LaVey, Zeena LaVey.] Myth 31. Anton LaVey was a bastion against religious hypocrisy. While LaVey’s rants about Christian hypocrites throughout his books, he fails to realize that there are more than just hypocrites – - people who fail to practice what they preach – - that make up Christianity! Just because there are hypocrites doesn’t mean there are no real Christians who try to live their lives as their supposed to. You can find examples of hypocrites in just about anything, not only Christianity. For instance, everyone knows obesity and smoking are bad, but how many times have you seen an RN that’s overweight or a smoker, or both? Does that mean you should ditch medical treatment forever more because some hypocrites exist in it? LaVey simply created a strawman of a Christianity no one would like, created from his onw one dimensional view of it, in which every Christian was a hypocrite.  LaVey made it appear to non-critical readers that Satanism was an alternative to hypocrisy. LaVey himself, was an enormous hypocrite, exaserbated by the fact that he claimed to hate hypocrisy! A look at the myths already presented here show that he was indeed a hypocrite. Perhaps the biggest hypocrisy was his disdain for asceticsm in The Sanatic Bible, but when he had to live in poverty, tried to conceal the fact by saying he was eschewing commercial materialism for asceticism (hipocrisy on top of a lie)! He was also a hypocrite for claiming to abhor charity, but lived on state assiatance and handouts from friends nad family members (i.e., charity!). LaVey was too proud and and to lazy to get a regular job (i.e., he thought he was better than you). Even LaVey couldn’t live his own Satanic philosophy. Myth 32 On ASL’s original death certificate the date of his demise was recorded as October 31, 1997 (Halloween). An official investigation by the City of San Francisco determined that ASL’s actual date of death was October 29, 1997 and that the “Halloween” date had been illegally written on the document, apparently in a last pathetic attempt to make him look sinister. It’s been alleged daughter Karla was the culprit. Satanism is really just “atheism” or “humanism”, because it’s the worship of the self; it’s for people who can stand on their own two feet!  Satanism isn’t “humanism” or “atheism”, it’s just a juvenile way to shock and alienate people, nothing else. That’s why this or that rock star claims to be a Satanist when they’re really not…just to shock people and make their CD’s the forbidden fruit that a rebellious pubescent wants. Think about it, how many millionaire rosck stars gave money to save the LaVey house when it was slated for demolition? None. That’s because they don’t really care about Satanism. A self proclaimed 20 y.o. Satanist in Queens, NY was beat up by some neighborhood teens in 2005. The Satanist in question dressed like it was Hallowe’en every day, had blue dyed hair, black painted fingernails and wore make up (plus he made sure everyone knew he was a Satanist).  Now Satanists want the altercation he got into labeled a “hate crime”. Satanists supposedly deal in brutal reality and cold logic. Wouldn’t the cold hard truth be this kid wanted to shock people, wanted people to hate him, and has himself at least to partly blame for what he got?  Wouldn’t have been logical for this kid, seeing how he had run ins with the same teens before, to have toned down his image? Satanism is embraced by people like that angry kid that hated everybody and sat alone in the lunchroom that no one talked to. It’s embraced by the racist stoner that’s in and out of jail. It’s embraced by the psychotic off his medication who listens to the voices in head. It’s not for the succesful self made man who “stands on their own two feet”. LaVey never wanted people who could “stand on their own two feet”, as he claimed, nor could he get any. Talk about unamed Senators or Congressmen or heads of corporations offered as “proof” Satanism attracts successful people is just that…talk. If they could name names, they would. LaVey lied about his achievments, making himself sound like Indiana Jones, a lion tamer, a criminologist, a world traveler, a lover of two movie stars, and a millionaire. Satanists who feel inadequate in their one lives make up for it by living through LaVey vicariously, rather than trying to improve themselves. Satanism is in fact a personality cult centered around Anton LaVey. A look at the documentary Satanis The Devil’s Mass shows LaVey assembled a collection of misnatrhopes, perverts, and lonely middle aged losers going through mid-life crisis who needed someone to follow. In the movie, daughter Karla says her father told her on numerous occasions not to go downstairs to the meetings because the Satanists were “crazy”. Even LaVey thought Satanists were weird. The only people who follow him are angry at the world, and at Christians in particular. Contrary to what the Liberal Media and the African American Community explain about Reverend Al, I see this destructive force in a different light, a light that expands into a business of the proliferation of racism in America.

Such proliferation cannot be tolerated and as Christians pray for forgiveness and lands beyond the grave, American Patriot Satanist’s from the Temples of Satan are waging a war to destroy those in the community that do it a detriment and Reverend Al Sharpton is one of these worthy marks for retribution.

Satan the acceptable name for a force much greater than racism, is “color blind” and causing havoc amongst American’s is not in his final plans or goals, with increased activities and increased signs pointing to his return.

One requirement of Satan’s success is to silence the masses and create a one world ideology, not a social one world but one where everyone is equal, and the day is without hyphenated descriptions of one’s race or background.

And with people like Reverend Al Sharpton self appointed to speak for African American’s we find the return nearly impossible, so as all zealots in society harm comes the way of those who have decided to take up arms against the majority.

Suddenly with the election of Socialist Barrack Obama, everything has become a issue of racism and chaos, from the economy he is co-destroying with George Bush to the attempted take over of most businesses, Sharpton is causing great harm and for such penalty his card is drawn.

We will no longer allow the shouting matches of racism, and hatred and degradation, and one man stands with his “Nappy Head” right in the way of Satan’s goals, Reverend Al perhaps finally your retribution has come from some people with a spine.

Unlike the “Sheeple” in Christianity we are not Sheep and follow strong convictions, so as you criticize and scandalize everyone from a Christian Position a group The Temples of Satan now makes you the target of criticism, for we “have spines” and we also have strong members all determined to lead you to what you deserve, you will not be allowed to commit crimes against the Satanist’s, as you have the majority of White American’s.

George Bush the Elder even had me suckered.  It turns out that he is as sly as a Fox “News” story, masquerading all this time as a nice guy, when he was at heart a Roger Ailes-inspired pit bull. 

Last Friday the ex-CIA director-cum-President of the United States called Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow (“Saint Rachel,” as far as I am concerned) “sick puppies.”  But in doing so, he accidentally triggered something that Ms. Maddow explored in an interview with Ron Suskind. 

She noted ( in the video posted below) that as Fox “News” has gone deeper and deeper into extremism, people often accuse her of growing more extreme, so that there can be a nice and comfortable narrative about what’s happening  on cable television.  In other words, it helps people to understand and deem acceptable the quasi-journalism on the Fox “News” Channel, if it can be shown that the same thing is going on across the cable news street.  But this analysis, claiming that there is “extremist symmetry” between Fox “News” and MSNBC, is flawed, even if it makes some folks feel better.

As I have tried to point out, MSNBC does bend  to the left, but it doesn’t “push” the news like Fox unquestionably does—throughout its broadcast day.  And there is no comparison between what Rachel Maddow does and what Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, or other ringmasters do under the  Fox “News” circus tent. 

One may not like Rachel’s liberalism, or the issues she chooses to highlight each night, but she is very smart (and educated) and painfully fair (for some of us who want her to skewer the “opposition”).  She isn’t paranoid like Beck; she doesn’t talk over her guests or monopolize their air time like Hannity; and she doesn’t yell at her guests or otherwise act like the ego-bloated and insufferable O’Reilly.

Now, granted, Keith Olbermann’s MSNBC program is a bit different.  His show does comes closer to  typical Fox fare, but to insist that he is as much of an extremist as, say, Glenn Beck, is another example of the false symmetry syndrome.  

Watching Glenn Beck is a lot like watching what one might imagine a talented but disturbed patient at the old Nevada State Hospital might have done with a couple of cameras, a blackboard, and an eager research staff.  Or, if Lyndon LaRouche had daily access to a high-tech TV studio, and a case of VapoRub, one imagines that his show would look a lot like GB’s. 

In any case, Olbermann’s show is well within the bounds of civilized commentary, and the idea that Fox “News” Channel is just a mirror image of MSNBC must be challenged, and hopefully that is what is behind the Obama administration’s attempt to expose Fox’s phony claim that it practices authentic journalism.

During June 1987, I had repeatedly forecast, publicly, that unless certain remedial actions were taken during the Summer of that year, the first weeks of that October would see a stock-exchange crisis comparable to 1929. It happened exactly as, and when I had forecast such an event to occur.

Now, with the advent of this month of October, the entirety of the planet Earth will have entered the “count-down” phase of what has been pending as a far greater threat of an international economic breakdown-crisis, than even that of Europe’s Fourteenth-century “New Dark Age.” This would come to be, unless prevented now, a general breakdown-crisis of the entire planet, a period of deadly crisis, which would be fairly estimated to be continued over a span of two or more generations to come.

The current process leading from the development of October 1987 back then, to this now immediate, far greater danger, was set into motion, back then, during the October 1987 crisis more than twenty years ago, by the combined effects of, first, the appointment of Alan Greenspan to the post of Chairman of the Federal Reserve System, and, second, the installation of Greenspan’s implicitly atrocious legalization of that swindle known as “financial derivatives.”

Now, the most crucial point of this present moment of Autumn 2009, is to be traced from the present moment, back to July-September 2007, since when, the world as a whole had already entered, not a mere “1929 style” stock-market crash, but, the crucial “break-down phase” of a world monetary system polluted by the product of Alan Greenspan’s great swindle, a swindle which has led into the present most critical phase of a threatened plunge of the entirety of this planet, as if simultaneously, into a new dark age. This would be a dark age which, unless stopped soon, could quickly become far worse in its ultimate effects, than the “New Dark Age” of Europe’s Fourteenth Century.

Today, this present state of affairs, also requires that we must recognize that moment, of the October 1987, 1929-style, Wall Street financial depression, as the presently retrospective point in past time, from which what must be chosen to represent the conception of an immediate reform of the world system, must now proceed, as if retroactively.¹

In that way, by that strict emphasis on the pivotal turning-point of the October 1987 crash, we may avoid, as much as possible, the Herculean chore of attempting to clear away, retrospectively, the physical-economic effects of those errors dating, specifically, from points earlier than October 1987.

Except as we must proceed by resuming the constitutional standpoint, and outlook for U.S. strategic policy extant immediately prior to developments beginning April 13, 1945, we must be content to do as much cleansing as can not be avoided, within the bounds marked out by October 1987. Other intended improvements in practiced doctrine will be required, but those must now, usually, be postponed until the course of improvements made at some time after the most essential, initial rescue-actions have been securely put into place.

Here, then, below, is the outline of the essential points of the immediately needed plan for the actions to be taken on behalf of our planet’s immediate economic recovery. For the present moment, the mission now must be the crafting of the foundations of that subsuming dynamic of policy-shaping which is the now most immediately essential foundation for the near to medium term, in the presently tempestuous, immediate future of mankind.

LaRouche speaks in such gibberish that who can understand.  It just seems to be long rant by somebody begging for attention.

I think LaRouche creates insane diatribes because he is insecure inside and is desperate for attention.  Conclusion: LaRouche is just another Orly Tatiz.

For over twenty years I have been meeting people in Satanism, from Modern to Theistic and everything “in between.”
I have met and drummed and danced and performed and spoke all finding nothing is happening anywhere within the religion, even my own organization which comprises of thousands, remains mute and lifeless at times along with every other organization in our religion.
I have after careful and exhaustive research finally solved the problem that has plagued our religion and
caused its general stagnation, so for the benefit of those who are truly real Satanist’s I have decided to reveal something so plain and simple yet so far from the minds of the youth and what I call the “Kids in Service to Satan.”

To worship Satan requires nothing other than a road map which can only be obtained from oneself, and the Christians have it right when they speak of faith, the Satanist’s should also speak of faith, but not blind faith but faith to deity in which no man or woman can describe, let alone perfectly describe other than to gain attention to themselves.

There is nothing hidden away in chests and tomes in Magister’s and High Priest’s and Leaders possession, there is nothing of value except the person, and moreover the people themselves are the problem wandering around explaining spells, and incantations and invocations they could neither perform or assemble the components for.

I am still learning as every great teacher should, gleaning knowledge and fending off the out-cries of the “Kids in Satanism.”
Satanism has become something similar to a political maelstrom, with several covens and sects divided down into enemy lines instead of similar units or learning groups, lead by a handful of molesters and psychopaths that claim nothing more than having some sort of secret knowledge that they are willing to share for a membership fee or for a sexual favor, something even I fell into when I first came to Satanism.

There is no secret connection between the Illuminati, the Masons or anyone other than something that was started in the past few decades prior to La Vey and his formula of confusion in Satanism.

Satanism existed prior to La Vey and has evolved yet some remain loyal to his concept all the while ranting about magical ability and evil fervor, meanwhile make fools of themselves as dressed up Atheists garbed in cloaks and chanting Enochian lies skyward.

Even organization’s that broke away from The Church of Satan and the lies of “Commercial Satanism” has also remained lost in veritable confusion, the Order of Nine Angles which was recently exposed had a leader who moved on to Islam, which is laughable and not connected in any way to Satanism, he even went as far as the excoriate his own writings or perhaps he was just plain in realization that in all of his confusing texts he perhaps was very wrong.

The Temples of Set founder now long gone has been replaced by a group of kids and zealots which have done everything in direct opposition of Aquino who this author respects heavily, with embarrassing news articles and claims placed into the media similar to a “liberal smear campaign” Aquino faded away and let the “kids play.”

The Church of Satan itself with incompetent leadership and lack of direction has felt the demise and teamed several times up with other groups only to make themselves weaker, Socialism and Vampirism mixing with Satanism, something again for kids.

Satanism and Vampirism and Nazism don’t mix well, nor does Atheism dressed in a “devil suit” something that has always remained a problem in the Church of Satan, the kids continue to make this a group that cycles constantly in a philosophy that offers up nothing in exchange for two hundred dollars and a “silly red card.”

Then of course we have the Synagogue of Satan which is again a claimant of connections to “secret societies” like the Masons, while the Mason’s allow open practice of Satanism in some temples, they do not promote or wish to be connected to the Mad Poet’s groups, with a a embarrassing rap singer and a bunch of kids all singing the tune of Masonic Satanism, something laughable to the Theistic Satanist’s.

Now comes along a new group of critics and authors and people who love to do Photo Shop tricks meanwhile not attacking the edicts for the group but this author, but as I said many times only a member or a friend would know me, so make up all you wish and desire, I have found it laughable at best and while you think you have made some form of an attack you have really brought me more membership totals.

I have insiders in all your organization’s and covens and people tell me everything, I have remained a voice and one that people seemingly are fearful of, all the while I have wanted nothing more than to progress the Realm for The Master, nothing more, nothing less.

If personal gain was my goal I would have retired years ago, I have made millions and spent millions and could have retired long ago if Satanism offered up a pay day, but it is not right for groups, covens and organizations to glean money for membership, and even I changed policies, but the other groups continue, I tell all who are really seeking Satan, the only way is to be self sufficient and with such self sufficient behavior realize he will seek you provided you are devoted to his path, no books, membership or any messiahs can place you any closer to him.

The Temples of Satan has donated thousands to different causes throughout the world and donations have many times exceed several thousands of dollars which were much appreciated, however never spent by the founder, or his clergy.

It doesn’t cost anything become part of something, other than time and effort and exposing these other groups has been a life long passion of mine, for they are the problem, not the solution and I tell those in Satanism if you desire
to progress, carefully pick and organization that is off-line and on-line chose you participation and beware of messiahs and those who provide visions of lies and hand you a Styrofoam® cup full of Koolaide® but then again the Kids of Satanism are everywhere.

I have seen the effects of the behaviors of these kids, removing me and my membership from groups and forums all the while continuing to do nothing more than spreading hate of those who speak the truth and offer up Purity and Excellence in Satanism.
I find often times being the target of attacks but these attacks mean nothing, I will go on and all will get their day of exposure, the Kids continue and the Temples of Satan and it’s clergy will explain and expose all of those kids and the groups they play with.

Kids are all ages in Satanism and when they meet serious people somehow they grow up all a sudden, some remain weak and silent however and for this damage comes easy, I will not nor will any other Temples of Satan clergy accept those who provide false doctrines in Theistic Satanism, and we will continue to expose the Kids in Satanism.

One fact that you can “take to the bank” is that after I release this I will see a hundred blog posts and fake pictures “pop up” I can say this thanks!

So how do neo-Nazis feel about people painting swastikas and Hitler mustaches on Barack Obama? An intrepid anonymous guest posted the question on a Stormfront forum (Stormfront’s logo is “White Pride World Wide”) last August and got a few–a very few, it wasn’t a long string at all–answers. None of them thought much of it, needless to say. “An idiotic tactic used by patriotards to undermine socialized medicine,” reads one of them.  “Stupid scare tactics that use the most demonized political movement for propaganda purposes,” reads another. Fair enough.

Stormfront is on the racialist fringe; it doesn’t even pay lip service to the patriotic platitudes of the Tea Baggers. Pat Buchanan, on the other hand, is very much an insider: a cable TV pundit, best-selling author, a speech writer for Richard Nixon and a presidential candidate himself. Nonetheless, he has been caught up in many flaps about his alleged sympathies for 1930s-style fascism over the years. The latest was because of this essay, published on September 3, “Did Hitler Want War?” (spoiler: Buchanan says he would have preferred peace; England was actually the aggressor and hence bears the responsibility for the Holocaust). In March, 2008, Buchanan penned “A Brief for Whitey, a characteristically truculent response to Obama’s race speech:

America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known….no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s…..Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance black applicants over white applicants…..We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

But Buchanan has also admitted (perhaps mischievously, since he himself has been no friend of Israel–he once called the US Congress “Israeli-occupied territory”) that Obama’s positions on Israel are close to his own. During the campaign, he defended Obama on MSNBC: “Barack is right, we ought to talk to the Iranians, he’s right to oppose the war and, frankly, he’s right to say the Palestinian people have got a terrible deal over there and their suffering ought to be recognized. That’s Obama’s position. It’s my position. I don’t think it is a Nazi position.”

Back in August, in The Daily Beast, Max Blumenthal revealed that the Hitler/Obama meme got its impetus from the Lyndon Larouche organization, who began to develop it during the debate over the stimulus package. Though Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Sarah Palin popularized the accusation, it was Larouche’s people who launched the “death panel” attack against Obama and Ezekiel Emanuel; posters of Obama with a Hitler mustache can be purchased through the Larouche PAC. Jeff Steinberg, the editor of Larouche’s Executive Intelligence Review, told Blumenthal that “we went after this thing…..and put everything out publicly through our magazine and web sites and decided to make a very harsh and shocking point…..there’s a lot of people who for pragmatic reasons could be inclined to accept policies that could take us down that slippery slope to Hitler’s policies in 1939.”

Of course the real reason the meme is so powerful is because it accomplishes an essential move of political ju jitsu–it turns whatever moral advantage Obama might derive from his race against him; it transforms white Christians into an oppressed minority and America’s first black president into their persecutor.

Here’s Rush Limbaugh, in a much-quoted rant two weeks ago, after a 17-year-old white highschool student was beaten up by a group of black kids on a school bus:

It’s Obama’s America, is it not? Obama’s America, white kids getting beat up on school buses now. You put your kids on a school bus, you expect safety but in Obama’s America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, ‘Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on,’ and, of course, everybody says the white kid deserved it, he was born a racist, he’s white.

In the through-the-looking-glass world of Limbaugh’s and Beck’s America, “racism” has become the crime of accusing a white person of the socially unacceptable crime of racism. Instead of a Klansman with a hood, or Bull Connor with his fire hoses, the word now evokes the professorial Henry Louis Gates, or, of all people, the bi-racial Barack Obama, who “threw his grandmother under a bus,” we’re told, when he publicly acknowledged that she too had prejudices. It’s quite an accomplishment.

Negotiations should continue, but for the sake of a few more slippery promises of nuclear restraint the US and Europe must not do anything that would give a jot more legitimacy to a fraudulently elected president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who celebrated last week’s “Jerusalem Day” by saying that “the pretext” for the creation of Israel – that is, the Holocaust – “is false … It is a lie based on an unprovable and mythical claim.”

Lyndon LaRouche seems to be the only one offering something of a real solution to the current economic breakdown. However it’s only a dream, nothing more than a fantasy. Is he serious when he says what we need are for India, China, Russia and the US to all get together and work out a new system beneficial to all? He may be serious, this may be the only option, however as he well knows you only have to look at the track record for humanity, for the US itself, and what to do you have – one power, one ultimate controller, one person and a small group of people in the highest position, so that will always remain, that will always be how it will be. No power is going to willingly submit to a greater united whole, it’s never going to happen. And so as he must know this, what is it that he’s really waiting for? And one can only surmise that it’s to implement his true motives when the whole global economy finally does fall apart leaving nothing but people screaming for a new way. And if this were to happen, then he could and may possibly step forward – all his dreams coming true – and begin to pick up the pieces. And really when you think about it, if I were him, secretly I’d be praying that no one currently listens to me, I’d want the whole rotten lot to fall in a heap, because then when it’s all at rock bottom, then when all current resistance is out of the way, then I can start to act, then I can start to make the world how I want it to be. And why not? Is he any different from anyone else wanting to make the world suit him and therefor in his eyes be a better place. Isn’t that how all those currently in power see it? And how else can we see it anyway, when we’ve all grown up with our parents in firm control of us, with those of us who were denied any power within their family regime wanting to find a way to have in effect new and better parents, or even be the new parents, the ones who treat their child in a more loving accepting and humane way. A new way in which all people are more ‘Christian’, more ‘loving’, ‘caring’ and ‘considerate’ to each other. And it all sounds good, so why not? But it’s never going to happen. It can’t happen because of the deep underlying childhood imprinting that we’ve all received: there must always be ONLY one or two people in ultimate control, and they ALWAYS know what is best, and they must always have their own way, and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks because the parent/parents are ALWAYS right and the child is ALWAYS wrong so ALWAYS needs to be told what to do. But it’s still nice to dream, to dream about having it all your own way… if only….

Liebe Wähler und potentielle Nichtwähler,

Sie haben es sich vielleicht schon selbst gedacht: Die Wahl am 27. September wird voraussichtlich die wichtigste Ihres Lebens sein. Denn aller Wahlpropaganda der etablierten Parteien zum Trotz, daß die „Talsohle der Krise" schon erreicht sei, stehen wir unmittelbar vor dem größten Zusammenbruch in der Geschichte. Im Herbst drohen nicht nur Wellen von Firmenpleiten und Massenentlassungen, sondern die Desintegration des Weltfinanzsystems.

Der Hauptgrund dafür liegt in der Tatsache, daß die Regierungen seit dem Ausbruch der Weltfinanzkrise Ende Juli 2007 nichts getan haben, um die Kasino-Wirtschaft zu beenden und die Realwirtschaft wieder in Gang zu bringen. Im Gegenteil: Allein in den USA wurden nach Angaben des TARP-Beauftragten der US-Regierung, Neil Barofsky, 23 Billionen Dollar an Rettungspaketen für die maroden Banken aufgebracht, in Billionen Euro, außerdem noch einmal fast eine Billion für den IWF.

In Wirklichkeit haben die internationalen Finanzinteressen und Banken Druck auf die Regierungen ausgeübt, den Giftmüll von Spekulanten, die sich verzockt haben, zu sanieren, und damit den realwirtschaftlichen Aufschwung sabotiert. Und jetzt sollen die gigantischen Kosten für diese angebliche Rettungsaktion, die nicht funktionieren kann, durch brutalste Kürzungen im Sozialbereich der Bevölkerung aufgebürdet werden.

Aber alle Kalkulationen für die Lage nach der Wahl in Deutschland werden – ganz egal, wie die neue Regierung aussehen wird – Makulatur sein. Denn die USA stehen unmittelbar vor dem Staatsbankrott: 48 von 50 Staaten sind insolvent, die reale Arbeitslosigkeit liegt nicht, wie die frisierten Statistiken vorgeben, bei 10%, sondern bei 30%, weil (wie auch in Deutschland) mehrere Kategorien von Arbeitslosen aus der Statistik herausgefallen sind. Heute gibt es in den USA 223.000 Arbeitsplätze weniger als vor zehn Jahren, aber die Bevölkerung ist um 33,5 Millionen gewachsen. Ein immer größerer Anteil dieser Arbeitslosen wird in den nächsten Wochen ohne jegliche Bezüge sein, weil die Staaten insolvent sind. 40% der Personen, die einen Job haben, brauchen trotzdem Lebensmittelmarken!

Lyndon LaRouche hat in seinem spektakulären Internetforum am 8. September die Alternative auf den Punkt gebracht. Obama hat die Wahl: entweder er tritt weiter in die Fußstapfen von Bush und Cheney und versucht auf der Basis des Führerprinzips, die Interessen der Wall Street durchzusetzen, was aber ohnehin nicht gelingen kann, oder er rettet seine Präsidentschaft, indem er die Vertreter der Wall Street – wie Summers, Bernanke, Geithner, Orzag und die Brüder Emmanuel – entläßt. Dann wäre der Weg frei für eine Wiederbelebung der Politik Roosevelts.

Niemand soll hier die Illusion haben, daß die USA, der Dollar und damit das ganze Weltfinanzsystem kollabieren können, und Deutschland und Europa könnten dann irgendwie als Insel überleben. Solange wir in dem völlig bankrotten monetären System der Globalisierung bleiben, kann es nur den völligen Absturz geben. Nach einem Dollarkollaps droht es zu einem kettenreaktionartigen Zusammenbruch zu kommen, von dem kein einziges Land auf dieser Welt verschont bleiben würde.

Der Chef-Verhaltensökonom des moralisch und finanziell vollkommen abgewirtschafteten IWF, Olivier Blanchard, forderte kürzlich, den „globalen Aufschwung" durch massive Kürzungen von Leistungsansprüchen, also Renten, Gesundheitsversorgung etc. zu finanzieren. Genau das wird weltweit gemacht. Kalifornien hat gerade 60 Milliarden Dollar im Haushalt gekürzt, was allein 900.000 Kinder armer Familien ohne Krankenversicherung läßt, und schneidet Arme, Alte und Behinderte von existentiell benötigter Hilfe ab. In allen europäischen Ländern gibt es entsprechende Pläne für drakonische Sparmaßnahmen, Kürzungen der Renten, Anhebung der Eigenleistungen bei der medizinischen Versorgung. Mit dem Ende der Abwrackprämie und dem Auslaufen der Kurzarbeit stehen Pleitewellen, Massenarbeitslosigkeit und enorme Steuerausfälle ins Haus – eine Abwärtsspirale ohne Boden.

Angesichts dieser Realität ist die Unterzeichnung des Lissaboner Vertrags der EU der helle Wahnsinn. Die Mitgliedstaaten unterwerfen sich damit einer Schachtschen Austerität, geben jegliche Möglichkeit einer souveränen staatlichen Wirtschaftspolitik aus der Hand und beschließen das Abrutschen Europas in die Bedeutungslosigkeit einer untergehenden Kultur.

Genauso wahnsinnig ist die totale Vergrünung aller im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien. Nicht nur sind ausschließliche Investitionen in Energiequellen mit niedriger Energieflußdichte eine wirtschaftliche Sackgasse, an deren Ende ein Kollaps des Bevölkerungspotentials auf weltweit vielleicht noch eine Milliarde steht. Denn jede Stufe an Energieflußdichte im Produktionsprozeß steht für ein bestimmtes Bevölkerungspotential. Aber selbst auf diesem Irrweg haben uns China und die USA schon überholt, die ganzen Steuergelder für die Subventionen von Wind und Sonnenergie sind eine totale Fehlinvestition.

Es gibt einen Ausweg. Aber er erfordert, daß wir uns völlig von den Axiomen der Globalisierung verabschieden, und dazu gehört die EU-Diktatur ebenso wie Freihandel, WTO, Doha-Rrunde, Shareholder-Value-Gesellschaft, CO₂- Emissionshandel, grüne Technologien, Nahrungsmittelkartelle, etc. etc. Dieses Paradigma der vergangenen 40 Jahre ist unwiderruflich gescheitert.

Das jetzige monetäre System, bei dem es nur um den Profit von Wenigen auf Kosten von sehr Vielen geht, muß durch ein Kreditsystem ersetzt werden, mit dem die Bereiche des Gemeinwohls befördert werden. Es muß der Tatsache Rechnung tragen, daß die kognitiven Fähigkeiten des Menschen die einzige Quelle des gesellschaftlichen Reichtums sind. Weder die kolonialistische Ausbeutung von Rohstoffen, noch die Kontrolle des Freihandels nach dem Prinzip, „Kaufe billig, verkaufe teuer", schaffen Wert, sondern nur die Steigerung der Produktivität der eigenen Bevölkerung.

Ein solches System hatten wir in Deutschland schon einmal, und es ist noch gar nicht so lange her. Beim Wiederaufbau nach 1945 funktionierte die Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, die an der Reconstruction Finance Corporation Roosevelts orientiert war, als staatlicher Kreditgeber für klar definierte Projekte. Innerhalb weniger Jahre war Deutschland aus einem Trümmerhaufen aufgebaut, und die ganze Welt bewunderte uns wegen des deutschen Wirtschaftswunders. Das bedeutete eben auch den Aufbau eines starken Binnenmarkts, Steigerung der Produktivität der eigenen Arbeitskräfte und Steigerung der Kaufkraft.

Deutschland wird aus der größten Wirtschaftskrise in der Geschichte nur herauskommen, wenn wir, zusammen mit einem Amerika in der Tradition Roosevelts, Rußland, China, Indien und anderen souveränen Nationen ein neues Finanz- und Wirtschaftssystem beschließen. In jedem der genannten Staaten gibt es eine wachsende Diskussion und die Erkenntnis, daß nur ein Neues Bretton-Woods-System einen Ausweg darstellt. Wir müssen heute dringend an Roosevelts Absicht anknüpfen, der mit dem Bretton-Woods-System den Imperialismus und Kolonialismus für immer überwinden wollte, was Truman leider nicht fortgesetzt hat.

Die BüSo ist nicht nur die einzige Partei in Deutschland, die nachweislich seit vielen Jahren prognostiziert hat, daß die Kasino-Wirtschaft in einer Systemkrise enden würde. Wir vertreten seit langem das Programm einer neuen Finanzarchitektur. Ich persönlich habe 1997 den 1. Aufruf für ein Neues Bretton-Woods-System verfaßt, also vor inzwischen zwölf Jahren (!), der seitdem von vielen Tausenden wichtigen Persönlichkeiten und Institutionen aus der ganzen Welt unterzeichnet worden ist. Im italienischen Senat und Parlament wurden wiederholt überparteiliche Resolutionen verabschiedet, die ein Neues Bretton-Woods-System fordern. Wir sind die einzige Partei in Deutschland, die ein Konzept für die Überwindung der Krise hat und die internationalen Verbindungen zu den Kräften in vielen Ländern hat, die eine neue gerechte Weltwirtschaftsordnung durchsetzen können.

Seit dem Fall der Mauer vertreten wir die wirtschaftliche und infrastrukturelle Integration Eurasiens durch den Ausbau der Eurasischen Landbrücke. Auch Nord- und Südamerika und Afrika sollen damit durch sogenannte Entwicklungskorridore in einem Rekonstruktionsprogramm für die Weltwirtschaft verbunden werden. Der Hunger und die Armut auf der Welt könnten auf diese Weise in wenigen Jahren für immer eliminiert werden.

Wir brauchen einen Wissenschaftsmotor, der den durch die Krise verursachten Kapazitätsverlust durch entwickelte Technologie wiedergutmacht. Deshalb soll Deutschland die bemannte Raumfahrt zu einer nationalen Priorität erheben. Kennedys Apollo-Programm, an dem viele deutsche Wissenschaftler mitgearbeitet hatten, hat bewiesen, wieviele Vorteile es für die zivile Wirtschaft bringt, sich mit den Herausforderungen des Weltraums erfolgreich auseinanderzusetzen.

Geben Sie deshalb am 27. September der BüSo beide Stimmen, denn alles wird in den kommenden Stürmen davon abhängen, daß unsere Lösungsvorschläge auf die Tagesordnung kommen.

Auch wenn die Dominanz der seichten Unterhaltung in den Medien manchmal Zweifel daran wecken: Ich glaube, daß die Deutschen sehr wohl das Potential haben, wieder zu einem Volk der Dichter und Denker zu werden. Wir müssen allerdings die wissenschaftlichen und kulturellen Schätze unserer klassischen Kultur wiederbeleben, Cusanus, Kepler und Leibniz studieren, Bach, Beethoven und Schubert spielen und singen, Lessing, Mendelssohn, und Schiller spielen und rezitieren. Dann werden wir die Kreativität für eine neue Renaissance für das 21. Jahrhundert entwickeln. [...]

Nancy Pelosi – she who falsely compared ObamaCare protesters at town hall meetings to swastika-toting Nazi AstroTurf - decried the climate of hate from everyone who doesn’t think exactly like her.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” Pelosi said, choking up and with tears forming in her eyes. “This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made.”

I find a few things hilarious.  First of all, remember not very long ago when the Democrats were accusing us of “manufactured anger”?  Well, when that lie failed, they trot out another one – and lie one a direct contradiction from the last lie.  Before, it was “apparent outrage” and “manufactured anger” from “Astroturfers.”  Fake protesters with fake anger.  Now all of a sudden they are so afraid of this very REAL and GENUINE anger that they have to wonder if we’re going to become violent.

That, in addition to the fact that Democrats have proven to be loathsome enough to carry out hate attacks just to blame them on the right, such as what clearly happened in Denver, Colorado.

And that a lot of the “Nazi” stuff has actually been the work of Lyndon LaRouche supporters.  LaRouche, mind you, has run for political office seven times AS A DEMOCRAT.

But let’s consider the actual violence that made Nancy the Alligator so teary-eyed:

Do you remember a man from a MoveOn.org counter-protest walking over to threaten – and ultimately BITE OFF THE FINGER – of a man who had merely stopped to ask ObamaCare protesters about their purpose/goals? That was DEMOCRATS doing the physical attacking.

And – given that the nasty little rodent biter came from MoveOn.org – innocent victim William Rice had better get shots for rabies.

These were the people who claimed that the hundreds of thousands of ObamaCare protesters from across the country were “AstroTurf” even as they were PAYING their own side to show up at events.

These are people who go to bed at night wondering how they can demonize and lie about their opponents.  And if the lie the tell the following morning completely contradicts the lie they told the previous night, it doesn’t matter.  Democrats are thorough-going postmodernists.  Truth is irrelevant.  Mutual contradictions can simultaneously exist.  Facts don’t matter; only the will to power matters.  And they can deconstruct reality and re imagine history to suit their ambitions.

Let’s see.  Where has the violence come from?  Gee, I remember it coming from the Democrats and being directed toward the Republicans.

What’s interesting is that Pelosi is clearly alluding to the murder of gay Democrat politicians Harvey Milk and George Moscone.  There’s no question that Milk was brutally murdered – but maybe Nancy Pelosi is simply too stupid and too ignorant to know that Milk and Moscone were murdered by a DEMOCRAT who was angry because his fellow Democrats refused to reappoint him.

So we have demagogue Nancy Pelosi falsely demonizing the right for hate that is clearly coming from her side – and shedding false tears to remind us of what turns out to be a lie – as the violence she alludes to was committed by DEMOCRATS.  This woman has no honor, no credibility, and absolutely no shame.

Nancy Pelosi and those like her are liars to the cores of their shriveled, hollow souls.  And if she truly has any desire to stop “this kind of frightening rhetoric,” the first thing she needs to do is stop spreading her evil hatred and her demonic lies.

Not that it matters: demagogues in the Democrat Party along with their media propagandist lackeys call it ‘racism’ or whatever else suits them anyway.

My telling the truth by revealing the fraud and the twisted lies by people like Nancy Pelosi is not hateful; her lies and demagoguery are.

‘Speaking with Forked Tongues: The Rhetoric of Right Wing Extremism Today’ –
International Symposium Held at the University of Northampton Reads Between the Lines

On the 26th of June 2009 a one-day international symposium on the language of far-right movements was held at the University of Northampton. The symposium’s title, ‘Speaking with Forked Tongues: The Rhetoric of Right Wing Extremism Today’, duly recognized and drew attention towards a major shift in the way organisations and groups of the far right in various countries present themselves and their policies to the public. Fascist and right wing groups parading and marching in our city streets, wearing distinctive uniforms, are no longer the usual picture, nor does the problem of right wing crime exhaust itself in a few skinhead thugs kicking in heads of immigrants and homosexuals, or setting fire to their homes. While the statistics on politically motivated crime in several countries show a sizeable number of right wing crime, the theorists and political leaders of the far right deliberately aim to style themselves and their organisations as sensible political forces speaking the truth to the people, and opposing the established ruling political elites, who are supposedly betraying the interests of their national communities (cf. for example Rules #5 and #6 of the ‘BNP Language & Concepts Discipline Manual’). They therefore try to present themselves as reasonable and ‘normal’ champions of the people’s cause, whose agendas are not at all extremist, but are in fact founded in ‘common sense’.

One of the symposium’s great merits was that it undertook to bring together people from different walks of life, deliberately reaching out beyond the proverbial ivory towers of academic discourse. Speakers included academic scholars from different disciplines, a politician and lawyer, writers and journalists, as well as former members, and relatives of members, of the LaRouche organization. The presence of a senior specialist police detective in the audience, furthermore, bore witness to the fact that British law enforcement authorities are taking an interest in the activities of the far right.

After an introduction and general overview of the day’s programme by Dr Paul Jackson, Mr Michael Ellis, who has been the Conservative party’s parliamentary candidate for the Northampton North constituency since 2006, and who has practised in the Midlands as a barrister for 15 years, talked about freedom of speech as being one of the integral civil liberties in democratic open societies, and about the conditions under which this general freedom can be limited in terms of jurisdiction. An open, democratic society must tolerate the expression and promotion of views and opinions by minorities, even though they may be offensive to others. British law and the practise of its jurisdiction will only prosecute such instances in which freedom of expression is abused to incite or cause unlawful behaviour, such as violence against targeted groups or individuals.

The far right has taken its lessons from a number of trials in the past, and the aforementioned shift in their self-promotion and propaganda is also a result of these experiences with the law. The leaders of these right wing movements have come to realise that they cannot hope to appeal to a wider part of the electorate if they allow themselves and their organisations’ members to be found guilty of unlawful conduct, and thus they have put a lot of effort into redrafting their strategies and the language of their propaganda.

This attention to language, however, is by no means an entirely new, previously unprecedented phenomenon – nor is it limited to the far right. Professor Roger Griffin, who teaches Modern History at Oxford Brookes University, in his talk titled ‘Lingua Quarti Imperii: The Euphemistic Tradition of the Extreme Right’ pointed out various euphemisms used regularly in the German ‘Third Reich’ and similar euphemistic expressions used by contemporary right wing groups. The title alludes to the term ‘Lingua Tertii Imperii’ (the ‘language of the Third Reich’) coined by the Jewish holocaust survivor, Victor Klemperer – implying that contemporary movements are in fact related to that tradition in terms of their ideologies and terminologies, and that their agendas, if they were allowed to be fully implemented, would amount to nothing less than some kind of ‘Fourth Reich’. One example of euphemistic usages in the official language of the Third Reich is ‘special treatment’ meaning ‘organised execution’, another ‘relocation’ referring to the practice of deportation to extermination camps. Professor Griffin pointed out that the word ‘special’, for example, is used regularly in various extremist discourses to mask a number of grim and vicious meanings.

He said further that journalists interviewing the leaders of parties such as the BNP need to get their questions right if they hope to elicit revealing answers. These people must not be underestimated, and anyone dealing with them will need to be well informed and thoroughly prepared, because they are after all well-trained in their euphemistic rhetoric.

The BNP, for example stress in their internal ‘Language & Concepts Manual’ that they are “not a ‘racist’ or ‘racial’ party”, but rather “a ‘patriotic’ or ethno-nationalist’ party”, the argument being that all races are great, but should stay where they supposedly belong – i.e. not in Britain. The campaigners are urged to simply deny and reject the allegation of racism rather than “fall[ing] into the media trap of trying to debate what racism is”. They are apparently well aware that arguing in terms of ethnic ‘purity’ does in fact constitute racism – but substituting ‘race’ for ‘ethnicity’ makes it sound more sophisticated and reasonable, avoiding the negative connotations of the older, tainted terminology.

This was also the topic of Dr Paul Jackson’s paper, in which he quoted the BNP’s leader Nick Griffin who once had urged party members to avoid causing ‘Pavlovian PC reactions’ by using such language. Dr Matthew Feldman’s paper looked into the far-right’s performance in the recent EU elections, and into how the far-right tries to sell their agendas as common sense. Earlier Dr Peter Davies had talked about Le Pen’s Front National, while Professor Janet Wilson had talked about right-wing propaganda in works of literature.

The afternoon’s programme focussed on the LaRouche organization. In the course of the papers presented by Mr Dennis King (author of Lyndon LaRouche and the New American Fascism) and Mr Chip Berlet (a senior analyst at Political Research Associates), and the forum discussion chaired by Mr Yves Messer, with victim’s families and former members, it became apparent that this organization, with its hierarchies, institutions and publications, is a political cult with anti-Semitic and neo-fascist tendencies centring upon the views and teachings of one man, Lyndon LaRouche.

It is worth mentioning that Berlet’s and King’s perspective on, and approach to, the LaRouche movement is a matter of some controversy among former members of the organisation exchanging their views and experiences in blogs on the internet (e.g. on www.factnet.org). Some disagree strongly with seeing the movement as neo-fascist in any way, pointing out the recruitment of Jews and non-whites. For them the use of anti-Semitic language is merely one aspect among many others in the movement’s syncretistic discourse, but does not make LaRouche ‘a new Hitler’.

The latter statement would indeed constitute an ill-advised oversimplification, and neither Berlet nor King actually make any such assertion. Both, however, highlight not only the persistent presence of anti-Semitic allusions and allegations in LaRouchite publications, but also Lyndon LaRouche’s central status as leader and chief-ideologue – or as Berlet put it elsewhere, as a kind of ‘guru’ telling his followers what to think.

Furthermore, part of the controversy appears to hinge upon a popular misunderstanding that conceives of Nazism and fascism as being synonymous. There is, however, general agreement that the LaRouche organisation is a coercive political cult employing a number of manipulative techniques designed to gain and exert mind-control over its members.

Even though the concept of a Führerkult (cult of leader) calls to mind first and foremost Adolf Hitler, there is in fact no particular shortage of leaders throughout history who gathered around them a cult following. The leader styles himself, and is revered by his followers, as a messianic figure leading the way into a brighter and better future. Such political movements, usually totalitarian in aspiration, can arguably be termed political religions – not because they are religious in the traditional transcendental meaning of the word, but because they function essentially in the same way as the traditional religions and cults, and often strive to replace or re-interpret and integrate them.

During the concluding ‘Round Table Discussion’, the participants agreed that the symposium had been very successful and truly enlightening. The theoretical analyses presented by the various scholars had already, by the end of the day, served to provide the relatives of members (or rather, victims) of the LaRouche organization with insights into how the mechanisms of indoctrination and propaganda worked, and how and why their sons and daughters had been so quickly drawn into the organization and were now behaving so strangely, almost as if they were entirely different persons.

The first-hand accounts by former members of the organization highlighted the differences between its propaganda aimed at the outside world and its internal structures, hierarchies and communications. One former member, who had been a member of the cult for many years and had previously failed twice to leave, told the symposium’s participants how her pregnancy had given her both the incentive and the strength to finally turn her back on the LaRouchites. While the organization is officially opposed to abortion, she explained, members are not supposed to have children. Her superiors referred to her pregnancy as being a disaster, and urged her to abort – instead she decided to have the child and leave the cult for good.

The symposium was a very interesting and successful experience for all involved, and it is sincerely to be hoped that it won’t be the last of its kind. With extremist tendencies thriving and on the rise everywhere, a lively and well-informed discourse that reaches beyond the academic circles will certainly prove to be an immensely valuable asset for defending our open societies.

The Democratic Party is not Satanism, and Conservatives can be both Democratic and Republican, many a Satanist is also independent and to feed into a certain party and side with the unintelligent Barry Obama is proof this group lacks strong values to form any kind of alliance it’s a group with a “political message” and nothing more!

Bold words, and calls to action do not motivate Liberalism, it is a cause for all to be concerned as Obama erodes capitalism and causes out children harm by raising deficits that threaten huge tax increases and give the “zero liability voters” extra money, and programs in the name of re-election, not results or economic benefit.

Remember when the GOP chastised the left for calling Dubya and Cheney war criminals and deemed it “un-America” to question the wisdom of our (right-wing) leaders? Remember when it was considered hateful and treasonous to wish failure upon our president? Well, times have evidently changed, as the seething debate over health care reform continues to be waged in and out of town hall meetings. Max Blumenthal at The Daily Beast has traced the origins of the latest and most heinous debate tactic yet; the comparison of President Obama to history’s most reviled man, Adolf Hitler. And he has traced it back to longtime nutjob and political hate-monger Lyndon LaRouche:

According to Jeff Steinberg, a longtime LaRouche cadre who edits the movement’s political journal, Executive Intelligence Review, top LaRouche advisors decided during the congressional debate over the stimulus package to liken Obama’s policies to those of Hitler.

“We went after this thing five months ago and put everything out publicly through our magazine and web sites and decided to make a very harsh and shocking point,” Steinberg told me. “It is our view that there’s a lot of people who for pragmatic reasons could be inclined to accept policies that could take us down that slippery slope to Hitler’s policies in 1939.”

Comparing an American president– especially one charged with cleaning up the messes of a much less capable predecessor– to Adolf Hitler sounds to the rational mind to be both offensive and absurd. It is more telling of the heckler than the hecklee that such a comparison would be drawn. But is this the weapon of the crazies who stockpile weapons and racist literature in their bunkers waiting for the second coming of Christ?

Apparently, yes:

When opposition to Obama’s health-care reform proposals intensified this August, mainstream Republican figures began echoing LaRouche’s paranoid warnings. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, former House Majority Leader Newt Gingrich and Senator Charles Grassley insisted that Obama’s health-care plan would mandate the creation of “death panels” to determine which Americans would be euthanized. Rush Limbaugh weighed in by comparing Obama to Hitler, who, he said, “also ruled by dictate.”

Palin, Gingrich, Grassley, and Limbaugh: all followers of LaRouche? It is a frightening day when the “mainstream Republican figures” of the nation begin taking their cue from a paranoiac and an attention whore like Lyndon LaRouche. Now more than ever, Americans need to remember that, like him or hate him, the American president deserves at least the respect and attention of his people. And after the last eight years, if America was willing to trust George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, they can at least try to trust Barack Obama.

Across the nation this summer, unknown numbers of people are hunkering down and arming up for what they believe is an imminent battle for the soul of America. Town halls and tea parties provide just a small glimpse of the rage, fear, and paranoia fomenting on front porches and in Internet chat rooms, in the conservative heartland and beyond. While the details may vary, the visions in such forums share a common theme: In one way or another, a fight to the death is coming, and coming soon.

These deep-seated fears explain at least some of the vitriol, the violent scuffles, and death threats bubbling up in town hall protests against health care reform. It’s all too easy for certain right-wing activists to accept that the president’s plan will create death panels or mandate taxpayer-funded abortions. Because some of these people don’t just believe that Obama wants to destroy capitalism and kill their granny and their unborn child—they believe he wants to kill them, too.

At a town hall meeting with Democratic Senator Ben Cardin in Hagerstown, Maryland, on August 12, one attendee carried a sign that read “Death to Obama,” and “Death to Michelle and her two stupid kids.” Another sign at the same event compared Obama to Hitler. At least some of the Obama-Hitler iconography originates from followers of perennial whack-job Lyndon LaRouche, but the comparison has been disseminated by Rush Limbaugh to a wider audience of hardline conservatives.

That’s not the only insidious comparison making the rounds: One protester who attended a raucous town hall with Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter told a Village Voice reporter that Obama was a “21st-century Marxist” who would adopt the same methods Hugo Chavez used to take power in Venezuela: “infiltration of the education system, political correctness, class warfare ideology, voter fraud, brainwashing through the mainstream media.” 

As the town halls have become more heated, the hints of violence have become increasingly overt. One man showed up outside the president’s town hall meeting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with a hand gun strapped to his thigh; on August 17, another brought an assault rifle to a demonstration at the site of Obama’s speech to veterans in Phoenix. It emerged that the latter’s presence at the meeting had been coordinated with a former member of the Viper Militia, whose adherents were convicted of weapons and conspiracy charges in the 1990s and were accused of plotting to blow up federal buildings. 

Clearly, this is about far more than health care policy. Instead, it’s just one sign out of many heralding a resurgence of the extreme right wing. It’s been widely reported that extremist groups are growing, in numbers and membership, since Obama launched his presidential campaign. As in the past, some of the ideas espoused by these groups are working their way further toward the political core with the help of right-wing politicians and media figures. 

For instance, take Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) claim that expanding AmeriCorps would result in liberal “re-education camps.” This statement has now morphed into rumors that the young community service volunteers are being armed to take over the country—possibly with some help from the New Black Panther Party.

Similarly, Dick Armey, the former House majority leader and lobbyist for the pharmaceutical industry, is predicting an October surprise from Obama in the form of “a hyped-up outbreak of the swine flu, which they’ll say is as bad as the bubonic plague to scare the bed-wetters to vote for health care reform.”

The assertion may sound ludicrous, but it dovetails nicely with a view among conspiracy theorists that a sweeping and deadly plot lurks behind the swine flu pandemic. Influenced by the work of a whacked-out Austrian “journalist” named Jane Bürgermeister, some on the far right believe the virus was manufactured by the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the rest of the black helicopter crowd’s usual suspects, as “part of a long-term plan by the syndicate, who have built large numbers of FEMA concentration camps with incinerators and prepared mass graves in states such as Indiana and in New York to quarantine people and dispose of the bodies of the people who are killed by the bioweapons attack.” This “depopulation” scheme has in turn been linked by conspiracy theorists to the Obama administration’s plans for a “global planetary regime to enforce forced abortion” and sterilizing the population through the water supply.

Among liberals, the dominant take on all of this seems to be ridicule and derision, or else impotent hand-wringing about the demise of “civil discourse.” It’s as if they’d forgotten that many of these so-called loonies just happen to own guns—and while liberals go on chattering, these folks are stocking up on ammunition. And right-wing radicals have an advantage when it comes to ideological fervor. Obama and the Democrats in Congress quickly frittered away any populist energy that might have come out of the recession, the fiasco of the Bush years, or the 2008 election. All that’s left are the compromises on top of compromises that they call policymaking, for which no one can muster much enthusiasm. Right-wing zealots, on the other hand, think they are fighting for their lives by standing fast against communism, or the anti-Christ, or both; they’re not only doing God’s work, but also fulfilling their destiny as true American patriots.

Indeed, the right-wing revival is infused with the words and imagery of the American Revolution. The gun-toting protestor at Obama’s New Hampshire health care town hall was also carrying a sign that read, “It Is Time To Water The Tree Of Liberty”—a clear reference to a quote from Thomas Jefferson that the “tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” (Because he had a permit and wasn’t in shooting range of the tyrant, the patriot was allowed to keep his gun.) On a website also called The Tree of Liberty, members exchange Obama insults and apocalyptic visions in a forum called Committees of Correspondence, named for assemblies in colonial America that protested tyrannical British policies.

The denizens of these gatherings and websites, the tea parties and the raucous town halls, represent a long-standing force in the country’s political culture: American nativism. This oft-ignored strain draws its central impulse from an opposition to anything that challenges the vision of America as a white, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant nation. Nativists have taken aim at Catholics, Jews, freed slaves, and successive waves of immigrants, beginning with the Irish fleeing the potato famine in the 1840s and continuing through to present-day immigrants from Latin America. They call for a closing of US borders and support strict adherence to the Constitution in its most literal sense, shorn of equivocating amendments, as a remedy for unwanted social change. And they have been inextricably linked to racist right-wing movements, from the Ku Klux Klan to the Militias to the Minutemen who now “guard” the border. (In the current debate over health care reform, one of the most powerful myths is that it will extend free coverage to illegal immigrants at the expense of “real” Americans.)

Many followers of modern extremist right-wing groups also adhere to the doctrine of Christian Identity, which teaches that white men are the descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel, who traced their lineage back to Adam and Eve. The black and yellow people, they believe, are of lesser stature, likened by some to a bad first copy made by God in his fashioning of the Garden of Eden. They are not real people, the thinking goes, and should be cast down as “mud people.” The American Founding Fathers were among the true sovereigns, and the white patriots of today are their descendants. Even before Obama’s election, many believed that the nation’s political and economic systems had been taken over by the Zionist Occupied Government. Jews, according to them, are not true white people, and are bent upon world domination, with the aid of their henchmen, the racial minorities.

That’s why the election of Barack Obama adds even more fuel to nativist rage: The president is a black man, child of an interracial union, the son of a foreigner who bears a foreign name. According to some, he is not even an American citizen. “[T]he face of the federal government—the enemy that almost all parts of the extreme right see as the primary threat to freedom—is now black,” says a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks extremist groups. “And the fact that the president is an African American has injected a strong racial element into even those parts of the radical right, like the militias, that in the past were not primarily motivated by race hate.”

 When the dems come into power the wingers start to test their boundaries by acting out. If the acting out is tolerated, they start to wonder if there is anything the (A)uthority (F)igure won’t tolerate. Will the AF tolerate threats from outside sources?If the AF doesn’t have the balls to tell his own citizens to stop making trouble, will he have the balls to stop true enemies from making trouble? At the base of it is the worry that if the AF can’t even stand up to *us*, then he won’t have the balls to protect *us*.

 They respect authority. They expect authority to keep people in line. ALL people, themselves included. That’s what I think a lot of people don’t realize.
