Não tinha curtido muito Should’ve gone to bed, do Plain White Ts, quando ouvi a música pela primeira vez. Mas achei o lyric video tão ótimo que até gostei mais da música, de verdade. A ideia foi meio que pegar fotos de pessoas aleatórias (que eu não sei como foram escolhidas) e fazer uma coisa ~a la meme~ com a letra da música. Ficou super divertido e deu toda uma nova graça pra coisa. Ainda dá pra montar o seu próprio meme com a letra no site da banda – coisa que não testei, mas achei bem bacana.

Embora essa música do Forever The Sickest Kids seja bem ruinzinha, o lyric video para Chin up kid é bem legal. A vibe é uma coisa história em quadrinhos com desenhos dos membros da banda e a letra seguindo essa linha. Não lembro mais porque eu gostava de FTSK, ultimamente a coisa tá bem fraca pro lado deles. Pelo menos o vídeo ajuda a salvar um pouquinho.

Deixei o meu favorito do dia para o final: One foot, do Fun. E olha que eu nem gosto de Fun e na maioria das vezes eles só me irritam um pouquinho. Nem sei o que me levou a assistir o vídeo, pra falar a verdade – geralmente eu só teria ignorado. Ainda bem que assisti, porque é fabuloso. Um dos lyric videos mais legais que eu já assisti nessa vida, juro. O ritmo ficou muito legal e combinou muitíssimo com isso de acompanhar a letra da música no chão, nos pés e etc. A tipografia também está hardcoremente caprichada e isso é uma coisa que não dá para não ser amada. Estão de parabéns.

Thirty Seconds to Mars has released the lyric video for their new single ‘Conquistador’. This is the second single off their album ‘LOVE, LUST, FAITH + DREAMS’. The song has been met with mixed reactions so far, but judge for yourself. Check out the video and tell us what you think!

Guys from Thirty Seconds To Mars are getting even more serious! We can easily feel their upcoming studio album in the air, and now, after amazing release of Up In The Air, they presented a new song named Conquistador.

There isn’t much to say about their lyric video, it’s proper, and suits their style, but at the same time it’s nothing special, just boring shit. So I’ll skip those fucking letters on a cloudy background.

The song itself isn’t that exciting as Up In The Air, but after couple listens I can say that its rhythm is stuck in my head a bit – so I think their expectations came true and everyone hears inside “we will, we will rise again, we will, we will rise again…”.
The only thing that bothers me a bit, or better said – is disturbing, is this one single moment when Mr. Jared Leto is pronouncing the titled word – conquistador – and I feel like it should be more clear to hear and understand, Spanish pronunciation isn’t that hard to learn.

Besides that there isn’t anything more to dislike. Proper song.

Not ‘Hey Ya’.  ’Ya Hey’.  The new single from ‘Modern Vampires’ by those nocturnal weekend warriors.  This is a celebratory lyric video with moments of uncertainty.  Shower yourself in some bubbly.  The track is actually kind of hot.  Ride to it over the weekend as it was meant to be!

Their much anticipated record drops on 05/14.

The moody, mid-tempo track strikes quite a contrast to previously-released single “Diane Young,” and is closer in tone to that tune’s accompanying B-side, “Step.”

Where the lyric video for “Diane Young” unexpectedly courted controversy by featuring rare Saab automobiles on fire, the “Ya Hey” clip boasts images of people (including the band members) popping champagne bottle on a New York City rooftop.

The song features the band’s customarily oblique lyrics, with the spoken-word last verse alluding to a music festival DJ set, referring to both reggae artist Desmond Dekker and the Rolling Stones: “Outside the tents, on the festival grounds/As the air began to cool, and the sun went down/My soul swooned, as I faintly heard the sound/Of you spinning ‘Israelites’/Into ’19th Nervous Breakdown.’”

Vampire Weekend recently teamed up with actor Steve Buscemi, who directed a special concert by the band at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom which was opened by Saturday Night Live cast-member Fred Armisen as Ian Rubbish, the Margaret Thatcher-loving punk rock character recently introduced on the long-running comedy series.

Vampire Weekend is set to perform at KROQ Weenie Roast 2013 on May 18 in Los Angeles alongside such acts as the Black Keys, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jimmy Eat World and more.

Massachusetts based thrashers RAMMING SPEED are setting to unleash their sophomore full length Doomed To Destroy, Destined To Die via Prosthetic Records. The band has recently released a new lyric video for the track “Grinding Descent,” which displays 3 minutes of old school down and dirty thrash as only RAMMING SPEED can purvey.
