Ein grausamer Tag geht zuende. Von Anfang bis Ende. “Worst day of my life?!”- Vielleicht! Alles ging schon los gegen 12 Uhr Mittags! Hat Mama uns nicht gesagt, wir sollen keine Cola im Bett trinken?! Keine Ahnung, auf jeden Fall verschüttete ich den braunen Inhalt über meinen Laptop- Der Ausgang bleibt ungewiss- im Moment spinnt die komplette Tastatur.

Und dann stellt sich die Frage: Warum macht youtube soviel Arbeit, warum stellt HerrTutorial jeden Tag ein anderes Video online, in dem er sich irgendwelche Kühlschrankwaren ins Gesicht reibt?

Empfohlen werden mir Videos von furzenden Babys?Jetzt mal ehrlich: YOUTUBE HATES ME!…seriously…

Ich hoffe, das Matebook wird sich iwie wieder erholen…

Покрутил в руках сегодня неспеша камеру Leica M8. Впечатления на самом деле так себе.
Во первых – её неудобно держать в руках: форма корпуса как у старых камер, он низкий – мезинец сползает под дно. Но ладно бы только это, но в отличии от старых плёночных камер, М8 – тяжёлая, и из-за этого просто выскальзывает из руки, и рука начинает болеть из-за неестественной позы, в которой приходится сжимать корпус.
Во вторых – неудобно крутить объектив, мало того, что он достаточно тугой, так там ещё и пластмасска какая-то приделана в странном месте, наверное как раз чтобы эту тугость преодолевать. Ну то есть мизинцем там фокусировку не покрутишь, как я привык на эЛьках. Хотя качество объектива скорее всего отличное, никаких люфтов.
Описать насколько неудобно они сделали колесо справа от экрана без мата не получится .

Вобщем, качество кадров из М8 может и неплохое, но процесс съёмки, думаю, сплошное мучение.

И они это умудряются продавать за такие деньги!!!

Bugs mais irritantes

Como este é um milestone, o 11.2 M8 ainda contém alguns bugs que nós já conhecemo, mas não deve impedir os corajosos contrbuidores e testadores. Os maiores bugs no 11.2 M8 são:

• Bug 542819 – gpk-update-viewer: não consegue atualizar pacotes
• Bug 482749 – Módulos do YaST2 não conseguem trabalhar com o Qt 4.5.0
• Bug 539616 – Grub Error 17 após a instalação no RAID1
• Bug 542792 – O nome do repositório de atualização está esquisito
• Bug 505670 – Não é possível inicializar – LVM/mapper não cria os dispositivos
• Bugs 536581 e 535888 – OpenOffice.org com integração ao KDE4 não está usável
• Bug 533989 – splashy ainda usa a identidade visual do 11.1
• Bug 537112 – Placa sem fio Intel 4965 está totalmente quebrada
• Bug 537343 – O LiveCD do GNOME pergunta pela senha do root ao montar o sistema de arquivos após a instalação. Contorno: apenas clique em “Cancelar”

Note, se você quiser testar o LiveCD em uma máquina sem unidade de CD-ROM, você pode copiá-lo para um pendrive USB com o seguinte comando:

dd if=image.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

Substitua “image.iso” com o nome da imagem ISO que você baixou e substitua “sdX” com o nome de dispositivo atual do seu pendrive USB. Seja cuidadoso! Isto irá apagar o dispositivo de destino, então tenha certeza que você tem o nome de dispositivo correto e faça um bakup de qualquer dado!

Es gibt viele Musiker, die ihr Album mit einem bestimmten Konzept aufnehmen. Ein großer Masterplan, der die einzelnen Titel miteinander verwebt und das Album als solches zu einem einem Ganzen formt.

Ronnie Day sollte eigentlich vielen ein Begriff sein. Ist Ihnen dieser Name nicht bekannt? Nun, machen Sie sich keine Sorgen, wir sorgen nun für Aufklärung:

Ronnie Day schusterte 2006 nicht einfach irgendein Album zusammen mit einer bunten Reihenfolge von Songs. Er beschreibt mit jeder einzelnen Minute seines Longplayers, wie seine Beziehung in Schwierigkeiten geriet. Psychologische Aufarbeitung also? Ja, und dazu im schicken Gewand! Nicht nur die Lieder sind hier strikt geordnet nach jeweiligem Status der Beziehung, sondern auch seine Videos.

“The Ronnie Day Project” ist eine Art Musikvideo- Serie, die die fehlenden Bilder zur Musik präsentiert. In insgesamt sechs Episoden wird der “Downfall” dem Zuhörer(-schauer) präsentiert. Deutlich wird der Konflikt aufgeführt: Karierre oder Freundin?!

Falls Sie also im Moment nichts zu tun haben, dann schauen Sie doch die Episoden an und begleiten Ronnie nocheinmal auf seinem Weg.. Und am Ende wird alles….

Musikalische Abwechslung ist geboten. Es finden sich sowohl schnellere, kantigere Songs, als auch ruhige Balladen auf dem Tonträger wieder. Auszugsweise stehen unten “Heroes Die” und “Call My Name” bereit, um die Bandbreite des Albums aufzuzeigen.

Das Album gibts immer noch bei Amazon, oder auch EBAY….oder hören  Sie sich einfach an, welches Stück Plastik gerade in den Charts angesagt ist.

Edit: Am Rande sei erwähnt: Day wurde 2007 von seinem Label vor die Tür gesetzt. Wer allerdings die Musik von Ronnie mag, der kann auch mal reinhören bei “Secondhand Serenade”.  Anspieltipp: “Your Call“

Sunday night, we finally had a fairly clear night with no rain expected until Monday. I pulled out my Orion Little Giant 9 x 63’s and laid out on the driveway for a bit of stargazing. M8 was ideally situated for some extended study. I honestly was surprised to see as much as I did in my urban light polluted skies. I also checked on the M7 cluster. I have to say, I like the 9×63’s. They are light enough that if you can handle 10x 50s you will be able to hand hold these just as easily. We have been getting more rain so it might be a bit before I get out with the telescopes. Sometimes, binoculars are just the right speed for me when I have limited time, energy and resources. Most newbies do not like to hear that their first scope should probably be a pair of binoculars, but it is good advice. My Mother gave me a pair when I was young, along with James Muirdens Binocular Astronomy book. That started a life long passion that still burns today, even though it waxes and wanes sometimes. Thanks Mom! The memories of those first views of the Pleiades will always stick with me.

Michael Reichmann posted an interesting video revealing some of Leica’s quality control and assembly practices. To bad the audio doesn’t match that of Leica’s technical standards. Also, I’m fairly certain the camera being assembled is the M8.

Above is one of my favorite photos of myself, not the least reason is why I have my Leica M8 in the photo. When I shoot with it I usually get one of three reactions:

* why are you shooting with a toy camera/Point and Shoot (This one cracks me up, I heard the former the first time from a band member at the first wedding I took it took)

* why are you still shooting old school/film etc. (It really does look a lot like its film cousins)

* an M8? Really wow. Awesome camera!

(That photo is a little more serious than I usually like ones of me to be, yet I think it captures my intensity in it.)

I understand all of these reactions. It can appear to be a less serious camera then the large SLRs. When I first started shooting weddings digitally I shot with Canon. Prior to this, I did a lot of shooting with my first Leica, the film M7. Ironically, while I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, I decided without even testing out if I shot well with them, how they felt gripped in my hands etc., to buy both the M7, and years later the M8.

Although there is some film grain (which in my opinion works better for gritty concert shots then the corresponding digital noise would), I really like how they turned out.

Whenever I’m asked why I like Leica, I usually start out with how amazing the glass is for sharp photos. Additionally, I like that there are mostly prime lenses (though there are now a few with adjustable focal lengths, my camera bag has only primes in it). Also a smaller camera lets me blend in more to the background, to get the kind of candid shots I enjoy capturing. Additionally, it’s always fun shooting something so unique that I always get reactions from spectators.
