Selena Gomez é mais uma a admitir que não é fã da saga Crepúsculo.

A estrela de Feiticeiros de Waverly Place disse, em entrevista ao Bonnie Hunt Show, que vai ao ar em dezembro, que não se interessa pela série vampiresca.

“Não assisti a Crepúsculo. Desculpe, me sinto mal… mesmo porque sou uma adolescente”.

A revelação de Gomez veio depois que Miley Cyrus, outra estrela teen, também admitiu não gostar da saga, nem de vampiros.

Selena já saiu com um dos astros da saga, Taylor Lautner. Por isso, é difícil acreditar que não tenha assistido ao menos a Crepúsculo.

Well, I feel the need to write two posts today, in light of the controversy over Adam Lambert’s shock rock performance at the AMA’s.  I’m sitting here reading comments on MTV where some woman says that he has no right to do that where her 4 and 6 year old can see it.  What self-respecting mother lets her 4 and 6 year up be awake at that hour, much less watch the AMA awards?   This was the last performance of the evening, waaaaaay past most 4 and 6 year old’s bed times.  I believe that’s why they put it last, so it would not be viewed by young children.  As for him kissing a man, get over it.  Don’t you know that there are still a lot of gay sports figures out there, and quite a few on the “down low”?  Do you care?  No, not as long as they are busting heads on Sunday afternoons.

Well, we all expected the conservative right to blast him, and true to form, they did.  What shocks me is the boomers.  I’m a boomer, and I grew up with Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Prince and The Village People.  Talk about controversial…take six gay guys dressed up in costume and prance them around the stage singing about how much fun it is to stay at the Y.M.C.A!

Now, Alice Cooper was one of the nicest men that has ever walked this earth, and he answered his critics by saying that it was entertainment, nothing more.  If you can get anymore shocking than a man cutting baby dolls heads off on stage, please let me know what it is.

Why on earth is my generation, the “free love”, Woodstock, acid dropping, communal living, hippie generation now so damned judgmental?  I actually loved Adam’s performance.  It was raw, animalistic, and real.  You can pretend all day that S&M doesn’t exist, but that won’t make it go away.  He’s not the first person to do bondage on stage, not even the first male.  David Bowie did bondage before Adam Lambert was born.  He even pranced around the stage in a very feminine shirt that barely covered his crotch, which was good, because he had no pants on!

Who can forget Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” video?  Burning crosses, stigmata, rape, interrracial sex with a priest.  I thought the controversy would never stop!

Then there was Cher, barely dressed straddling the cannon in the “If I Could Turn Back Time” video.

So Adam Lambert reminded us all of the seamier side of sex.  He’s not the first, and he won’t be the last.  All the people mentioned above were superstars, and a couple of them still are.  Adam is following in the footsteps of the greats…those who weren’t afraid to push the limits, to express themselves in their own way, and change the music world in the process.

So to all my fellow boomers…get the collective sticks out of your asses and remember when you used to know how to have fun.  Or go buy some Susan Boyle music.  No sexual content there.

To Adam, Bravo!  Can’t wait to see what you do next!

Com o objetivo de alavancar a audiência do Hoje em Dia, da Record, a emissora anunciou, na última semana, que a cidade de Belo Horizonte, em Minas Gerias, vai ganhar um estúdio do programa matinal.

E quem vai comandar a atração, direto da capital mineira, é a atriz e ex-Miss Brasil Natália Guimarães. A informação é da coluna Zapping, do Jornal Agora São Paulo. A bela, que ficou em segundo lugar no Miss Universo, em 2007, atualmente atua na novela Bela, a Feia.

Esta não é a primeira vez que Natália apresenta um programa na emissora do Bispo Edir Macedo. Ela já apresentou o + Moda, na Record Rio.

Segundo informações da coluna, a emissora vai investir pesado na afiliada mineira. Um novo estúdio para o jornalismo e um helicóptero estão nos planos da Record.

Yesterday I had no energy for musings; hence, no “Sunday Morning Musings”.  The move to my new house is ongoing, although I definitely am living there.  Last week at this time, I couldn’t say where I lived;  I was just too tired from lifting and toting and pushing.  Then too, I was sleeping on the sofa in the new place.  It all felt like camping or the numb feeling after Hurricane Ike.

Now I feel like I’m living again even though much of the house is in total disarray (todo un desmadre).  I still have several loads of possessions to collect at my old apartment, which I have to be out of by a week from today. 

Satellite was hooked up on Saturday; this means that now all of the communication devices are working.  So with a shiny, new TV, I was set for Sunday football, but most of the day, I spent on the necessary weekend chores, plus settling in some more, making one more trip to the apartment, and even painting a bit.

So by 8:30 PM, exhausted as I was, the Bears vs. the Eagles held even less interest for me than the Bears vs. the Eagles normally would.  I switched over to the American Music Awards, then went into the kitchen to do some more sorting and putting away, only to hear Janet Jackson singing Michael Jackson, sounding like Michael Jackson:  maybe they really were/are they same person.

After the ho-hum of more unpacking was interrupted by a phone call, I decided to give up the ghost for the night at just before 10 o’clock. I checked out  the NFL game, then started flipping through the channels.  At the moment I got to the local ABC station, up popped the AMA once again, announcing Adam Lambert.

Truly, I don’t know much about Adam Lambert, only that he was the runner-up on American Idol, that he’s got this 80s glam look goin’ on, and that he hasn’t been shy about being gay.  Actually, I admire him for having that “I’m gay, take-it-or-leave-it” attitude so early in his carreer.  I admire that same attitude in a lot of young people these days, that they just can be who they are without stodgy conservatism trying to make them hide themselves.

That’s why when I was watching Lambert’s performance, I was amazed to see him dancing and prancing on stage in from of a national audience, the likes of which I don’t remember having seen since the days of David Bowie.  Oh, we’ve seen similar dancing and hip-thrusting, but with female stars like Madonna and Janet Jackson.  Then when he pulled one of the dancer’s head to his crotch and soon after kissed a keyboard player, I said to myself, “You go, Adam.”

To be honest, I didn’t care for the song at all, and I’m not really sure whether he’s got a voice or not, but when it comes to chutzpah (and I definitely mean the good chutzpah), Adam Lambert has it going on.  Lambert will find someone to write some decent music and he’ll get some voice training, but his gutsy performance last night on the American Music Awards is going to go along way for him . . . and for other gay people.

You see, Adam Lambert is not afraid to be himself . . . like a lot of gay people are.  Unless gay people act like themselves in public, straight people are forever going to keep their blinders on and deny that we exist.  They can’t deny that mixed-race couple exist when they see them or they see their children.  But they still can deny gay people exist when they see two guys together or two women together even when they know they are together.  The can deny it because gay people help them deny it by not holding hands or hugging or giving a smooch in public, the same physical acknowledgement that straight couples give to each other.   How do we ever expect some straight deniers from seeing that we really are just like them, unless we show them that we are?

Yeah, there have been those screaming their negative comments about Lambert’s performance today in response to articles about the AMA, but these are the same people that would have been screaming if it had been Madonna or Lady Gaga.  Let them scream; artists that want to make it big take it to the edge, and this is just what Adam Lambert was doing.  However, in doing so, he’s saying, “Hey, I’m gay and this is who I am.”

You go, Adam.

My head been spinning with this nice catchy tune for the past several Sundays whenever I heard this song. I know distinctively it’s Madonna, but I never could get the title.  I am no big fan of Madonna, but I have got lotsa respect for this woman, she evolves as a singer and as a business person, I take my hats off for her.

Finally, yesterday I was able to catch the title of the song, and it’s called “Celebration” as announced by the radio DJ. I was trying to figure out exactly what was our dear Madonna celebrating, to have this as the title. Apparently she just released a compilation album sort of a greatest hits album with the same title (Which i have downloded!) that showcases all her great tunes. Celebration is a dance-oriented song with influences of Madonna’s singles from the eighties and nineties. The song invites one to come and join a party, at least for me, haha.

Moving on from Madonna to my own self, I do have reasons to celebrate recently. I met a new friend, a wonderful person, one that met me from the virtual world moving on to the real world. I am just happy that I am told I am much better in person than the one behind the net. And I thought as a simple and laid back person I would not make much impression, but sometimes it amazes you what makes people tick.

Talking about Celebration, there is Hari Raya Aidil Adha coming up, so it will be a long weekend ahead. Also RP would be celebrating Rock Night on the 25th Nov, a guest band with rock heads (Shahril’s Band I was told) and I am not gonna miss that I think.

Nazri is finally making his first property purchase and that’s a big step in the right direction, something to celebrate too I suppose.

There is no celebration for Liverpool though. They drew at home against Man City, the future looks so bleak they probably don’t need any shades.

Adam Lambert did his best impression of Britney Spears and Madonna as he stunned the audience and the millions watching the American Music Awards live on ABC last night with his version of “For Your Entertainment.”

I didn’t watch, but apparently Lambert simulated oral sex with a male dancer, kissed keyboardist Tommy Ratliff, grabbed his crotch and finally, flipped off the crowd.

Sounds like I didn’t miss much

So…ABC…I wonder how “Disney Friendly” this performance was!

A hip-thrusting Lambert continued to raise eyebrows by grasping the head of a male backup dancer and pulling him into his gyrating crotch, a move the ABC network choose to cut audio from for some unknown reason.

The shock-and-awe continued with the singer getting his privates grabbed by a tutu-wearing female dancer, as well as him snapping the bikini area of another female’s costume.

If viewer’s mouths weren’t open in shock yet, Lambert had more to come.

Following a quick recovery from a tumble across some scaffolding, Lambert took a break from singing to forcefully play tonsil hockey with a male keyboardist from his band.

With a look of defiance on his face, the singer proceeded to end his jaw-dropping set with the high-pitched wail he became most known for during his “Idol” days.

Marking his satisfaction from his performance, Lambert tweeted after the show, “All hail freedom of expression and artistic integrity. fans: I adore u.”

Yeah this is kind of obvious but still true…

I suppose this is a bit like our grandparents who shuffle around the dance floor to Frankie Valley or something, but these songs are branded into my frontal lobe in the “Love” and “Sex” section.

Also I had a professor who worked at my college who had a nude short film of her frying eggs on her pubes. He shot it in the 70s so it looked like somebody was frying eggs on the head of a teddy bear.

What the hell happened last night at the American Music Awards? When did they become the new shock-you-silly awards show to replace the now-vanilla MTV Video Music Awards?

The new recipe for an awards show is this:

*Taylor Swift wins everything; no fewer than five statues.
*Lady Gaga performs in a weird getup after arriving in a weird getup.
*Someone does something shocking, either Lady Gaga or a surprise…like an “American Idol” channeling old Bowie/Madonna stuff.
*All hip-hop performers keep it clean and classy.
*Janet Jackson shows no skin. Ever. Again. America still hasn’t healed from the nipplegate backlash, although after Adam Lambert last night, we’ve moved on to Crotchgate.

Speaking of Crotchgate…

I understand Adam Lambert’s need to distance himself from the squeaky clean-ness of “American Idol.”  But is that really a need? I also understand the need to do something to keep his name prominent in the headlines today–the day his album “For Your Entertainment” drops.  There’s no such thing as bad press, after all.  Even if you mash a male dancer’s face into your crotch, caress a female dancer’s crotch, and make out with your male keyboard player–all after playing the sadomasochist part with two dancers on leashes–you still get press.  I get it; you’re playing both sides of the fence, trying to court both female and male fans with bisexuality and a cheesy but androgynous album cover.

But shouldn’t it be about the music?

I’m a fan of both Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga.  After last night’s AMA performances from both, I am SMH today.  Both artists can stand on talent alone.  Both can sing, both have a flare for performing.  I’m all for outrageous when it fits.  But when it becomes about being outrageous for the sake of being outrageous, that’s when it gets lame.  Contrived.  Fake.  Silly.  Annoying.

Don’t play the tortured artist bit on stage.  Gaga had gigs writing songs for others before she got her “Fame” and Lambert was doing pretty good for himself acting alongside Val Kilmer in the stage show of “The Ten Commandments.”  While either one was hardly pulling in millions, both were working artists.  I think that’s always the goal, right?  Both could have still been serving meals during their first showbiz gigs for all I know.  But hey, a gig’s a gig.

Just go on stage and perform.  Just show me your talent and remind me why I’m a fan.  Even a simple performance can be captivating.  It doesn’t always have to be outlandish.  I thought Jennifer Lopez’s performance of “Louboutins” was great.  It was creative and she pulled it off, except for the fall…  If I even think about Louboutins I fall down, so I totally understand.

You want simple?  Captivating?  Something that stands on the strength of the music alone?  Try watching Lady Antebellum’s performance at the Country Music Awards.  Has “Need You Now” not been the top single on iTunes (or near the top) every day since?

Or, from the AMAs last night, how about Whitney Houston singing “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.”  That was amazing!  She was flawless.

Or Jay-Z and Alicia Keys who were just classy.

Look, I don’t need flames, crazy outfits, and controversy.  What I do want is music.  I’d love to have music with opulence.  Flash is OK, but just keep it in good taste.  We’re in a recession (duh).  People want less bullsh!t during a recession.  Flashiness and perky music isn’t popular during a recession.  Remember the 1990s?  It was a crap financial time that birthed Kurt Cobain and flannel shirts.  Remember the late 1990s as things turned around?  It was poppy, perky Britney Spears and N’Sync.  Glam rock?  New wave?  That was during the glory of the 1980s.  Artists should take a cue from the times we live in, maybe be inspired by…reality.

Mas, quem pensa que a emissora produzirá novelas está  enganado: o canal, que recentemente inaugurou uma nova sede na cidade de Osasco, na Grande São Paulo, investirá na produção de seriados de curta duração e, por isso, terá que formar um núcleo só para este segmento.

Caetano Bedaque, diretor de comunicação da RedeTV!, conta que a emissora procura atores, diretores e autores para sua primeira produção, que estreia em março de 2010.

Para participar das seleções, os candidados devem enviar o material aos cuidados da direção artística da emissora, que trabalhará a todo vapor para colocar o novo seriado no ar.

Esta não é a primeira incursão da RedeTV! no área de dramaturgia. Em 2007, numa parceria com a Disney, produziu a versão tupiniquim de Desperate Housewives e, em 2004, produziu na antiga sede do canal, em Alphaville (SP), o seriado Vila Maluca.

Roberto Justos ganha mais espaço no SBT. O apresentador e empresário comandará um especial de fim de ano que atende pelo nome de Histórias e Canções, que vai ao ar em 23 de dezembro.

De acordo com o jornal Folha de São Paulo, Justus trouxe para a emissora o show que costuma apresentar em encerramentos de eventos corporativos. Além de cantar no espetáculo ele conta história de motivação. “ Falo sobre a vida, sobre garra, coração, paixão pelo que se faz”.

O show deve trazer sucessos da música internacional como Yesterday (Beatles), que cantará com o grupo Rouapa nova e My Way (Elvis Presley), que interpretará com Agnaldo Rayol.

Após ser eliminada de A Fazenda 2, da Record, a ex-bandeirinha Ana Paula Oliveira deu entrevista nesta segunda-feira (23) no programa Hoje em Dia.

No bate-papo com os apresentadores do matinal, Ana Paula abriu o coração e falou do confinamento, da família e até de assuntos polêmicos, como a expulsão da Fifa (Federação Internacional de Futebol), quando posou nua na Playboy, em 2007.

Se arrepende de ter posado nua?
Não me arrependo de ter posado nua, porque foi a revista que me deu condições para eu realizar o sonho da minha mãe, que era o de comprar uma casa própria. Com o dinheiro da minha profissão, eu até comprei a minha financiada, mas eu não tinha condições de pagar o meu financiamento e comprar outra. Na época, o meu pai teve o primeiro aneurisma e a minha mãe teve um problema muito sério, com suspeita de câncer na garganta. Tenho 29 anos e queria ver minha mãe sorrir, ao lhe dar uma casa. Dei a minha palavra à revista e disse que, se eles cobrissem a proposta, eu faria. E posei. Agora aceitei o desafio do reality, para realizar mais um sonho: de comprar uma casa para a minha tia. Ela teve dois casamentos infelizes e tem dois filhos. Mora numa casa com dois cômodos muito modestos e queria ter ganhado o reality para realizar o sonho dela, mas não consegui.

Decepção com a Sheila:
Não foi decepção, ela tinha uma decisão a ser tomada. Eu até me aproximei dela, para mostrar ao público o quanto sou verdadeira, e não tive tempo de mostrar quem eu realmente sou. Sheila teve o seu critério na votação. Quero ser amiga do Maurício, da Karina, do Xuxa que, apesar de dizer que não está jogando, é um grande estrategista. Quem me surpreendeu mesmo foi a Bombom. Me identifiquei muito com ela e com este momento difícil que ela está vivendo.

Reality Show:
Acho que este não era um momento certo para eu entrar em A Fazenda. Eu não me preparei para o reality, como o Xuxa. Se eu tivesse entrado de outra maneira no jogo, mais preparada, eu até poderia ter saído de lá como uma vencedora. Acredito em Deus, e tenho certeza que este foi o momento certo para eu sair.

Rodrigo Carelli, diretor de A Fazenda 2, está comemorando o sucesso do reality show da Record. De acordo com o jornal Agora SP, o diretor fez os ajustes necessários e está satisfeito com o resultado.

“Na primeira edição, por conta da logística, foi muito complicado. Estávamos aprendendo. Falei para a produção que o meu programa ideal é o que foi ao ar na última quinta-feira (18)”, revelou o diretor.

Carelli  ainda falou sobre o fato de bombom ter se tornado o centro das atenções logo nos primeiros dias de A Fazenda 2, devido à exposição de seu corpo.

“Acho que estão focando demais na Bombom. Todos acabam  expondo alguma parte do corpo. Não tem como. Não dá para crucificá-la”, disse Carelli.

Rio de Janeiro valittiin lokakuussa vuoden 2016 kesäolympialaisten kisaisännäksi. Heti tämän jälkeen kaupungissa alkoi huumesota. Kansainvälisen olympiakomitean KOK:n toimitusjohtaja Gilbert Felli luottaa Brasilian turvallisuustasoon huumeisiin liittyvistä väkivaltaisuuksista huolimatta.

Brasilian poliisin ja huumekartellien välit ovat tänä syksynä entisestään kiristyneet. Poliisi käynnisti huumeparoneja vastaan suurimman operaationsa vuosiin, kun epäillyt huumekuriirit ampuivat lokakuussa alas poliisihelikopterin.
