The trailer for the new Cameron Diaz/Tom Cruise film “Knight and Day” has hit the Internet. I could’ve sworn that I was on JustJared the other day seeing photos of Suri and Katie Cruise in Spain watching Tom film. I didn’t realize that they had enough material to put together a trailer.

The film is about a lonely woman who goes on a blind date with a man who ends up being a spy. She gets caught up in a worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source. That’s some blind date!

“”Knight and Day” also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Viola Davis, Olivier Martinez, Paul Dano, Maggie Grace, and Mark Blucas.

“Knight and Day” opens in theaters on July 2, 2010.

Speaking of fantastic photos, today I share another interview with you. Despite missing out on the first round (where I have interviewed Sam from Daily Fashion Boost and Celine from/aka The Shoe Girl) she was still kind enough to send me her answers and pictures.

Who am I talking about, you ask. I said, fantastic photos – does this ring any bells? Okay, it’s Hanh from Life in travel!

D: At what age did you start to show interest for fashion in general? How did it start?

H: I was actually interested in fashion at an early age. When I was about 10 years old I started making clothes by myself just using my imagination. It was not well made but I had fun. Being a girl, I just wanted to look pretty.

D: What do you think about the importance of the shoes in an outfit?

H: The shoes are a very important element for an outfit. Pairs of fabulous shoes make a boring outfit become an exciting, stylish one.

D: What is your opinion of fashion trends? How do you decide, what to follow and what is not worth it?

H: Fashion trends are fun as long as we are not going crazy and taking it too seriously. You have to understand your body and your taste to apply it for yourself. To me, fashion is all about fun.

D: Who is/are your favorite shoe designer(s)?

H: Gosh..I really don’t have one. Whatever they look fabulous I love. Although, I have many Givenchy, Ysl, Giuseppe, etc… shoes in my closet.

D: Show me your favorite shoe of your own wardrobe!

H: For now, I love Proenza boots.

D: Sketch/draw your dream shoe!

H: This is my drawing for my dream shoes for spring/summer 2010.
Sorry for not good at drawing a portion of the shoes, but it’s a idea how the shoes would look like.

La Gata Negra

Si bien no hay nada seguro aún sobre lo que podremos esperar de Spiderman 4, los rumores sobre los posibles villanos que veremos son muchos y muy frecuentes. Por lo pronto, ya se está comentando sobre la posibilidad de ver a la Gata Negra dentro de la historia, llegando a barajarse no una, sino cinco posibles candidatas. Las que se han mencionado hasta el momento son:

Bloody Disgusting has provided three high quality pictures from the upcoming remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s “Das Experiment” from 2001. “The Experiment” stars Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Clifton Collins Jr., Cam Gigandet and Maggie Grace to round out an ensemble cast. Both films are based around the “Stanford Prison Experiment” from the 1970s that Dr. Philip Zambardo conducted. The synopsis of the experiment from his own website dedicated to the discussion and effects is after the jump along with the two other pictures, director information and possible release date.

“What happens when you put good people in an evil place? Does humanity win over evil, or does evil triumph? These are some of the questions we posed in this dramatic simulation of prison life conducted in the summer of 1971 at Stanford University.”

Behind the lens and script for the remake is Paul Scheuring known for his writing and directing in TV’s “Prison Break”. The film is currently in post production with a planned release in 2010. Look for more on this film soon.

O caso verídico que deu origem a A Experiência (Das Experiment), produção alemã de 2002 e primeiro longa de Oliver Hirschbiegel (A Queda!), está sendo transformado em filme mais uma vez, agora em Hollywood. As primeiras imagens de The Experiment acabam de sair – veja AQUI.

Em 1971, Philip Zimbardo, professor da conceituada Universidade de Stanford, reuniu um grupo de alunos e dividiu-os entre presos e guardas para estudar padrões de comportamento em presídios. O ensaio foi cancelado depois de apenas 6 dias, quando a relação de poder e autoridade entre os dois grupos começou a se exarcerbar, atingindo níveis alarmantes de violência.
Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, Clifton Collins Jr. e Cam Gigandet estão no elenco. Brody faz o líder dos prisioneiros, enquanto Whitaker faz um guarda que se deixa levar por seu poder dentro do experimento. Paul Scheuring, co-criador da telessérie Prison Break, dirige o filme. It was a while back that I first mention Paul Scheuring’s The Experiment. It is a remake of Oliver Hirschbiegels Das Experiment, which centered on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. Bloody Disgusting got hold of the first photos from the film.

Hace bastante tiempo que no actualizo el blog con noticias de “Perdidos” y creo que ha llegado el momento de hacer un breve recopilatorio de todo lo que se ha hablado en los últimos días.

Entre las cosas más importantes: la fecha de estreno de la sexta y última temporada que será en enero de 2010, el porqué de no haber tenido fotografías promocionales, el regreso de más personajes para la última temporada, además de los títulos de los seis primeros episodios de la temporada o el tráiler esperado de la nueva temporada ¿te lo vas a perder?

Entre las primeras cosas que comentar acerca de la serie, es que por fin se ha dado a conocer la fecha del estreno para el año que viene. Exactamente la sexta y última temporada se estrenará el 20 de enero de 2010. Parece que el estreno, como se ha venido rumoreando hasta ahora, será mundial y simultaneo por lo que no tendremos que buscar la serie en internet al día siguiente. Solo espero que den con las claves y los pasos correctos para resolver todas las tramas abiertas.

Como algo en contra de la serie, o más bien de los directivos del canal ABC es que en esta temporada no tendremos fotos promocionales de los personajes. La razón que se ha dado para tal hazaña es que al parecer, cada una de las escenas de los 17 episodios que componen la sexta temporada valen su peso en oro y son de vital importancia para el hilo argumental, así que la resolución del misterio no se verá plasmada en papel fotográfico.

No hace demasiado tiempo que el mundo interactivo se hacía eco del regreso de otro entrañable personaje de la serie, que desapareció en la temprana segunda temporada. Estoy hablando de Maggie Grace, es decir de Shannon a la que podremos ver de nuevo no sabemos si en la isla o en que emplazamiento. A este personaje se ha añadido el regreso de otro más, Rebecca Mader, que murió en la quinta temporada de la serie tras haber dado vida a Charlotte Lewis en la cuarta y quinta temporada. Lo que no sabemos es la función de la misma otra vez en la serie, ya que cuando se puso en marcha el bucle de saltos en el tiempo ella parece que no lo hizo por lo que ¿dónde estará ahora? ¿qué función tendrá su personaje? Como siempre, todo incógnitas.

Además de todo lo ya acometido arriba también os dejo aquí el título de los seis primeros episodios se esta temporada tan esperada por todo. Espero que alguno de vosotros pueda descifrar en qué sentido irán los contenidos ya que por esos simples retazos no se puede confirmar nada en concreto.

- 6×01 y 6×02: LA X: LAX es el código del aeropuerto de Los Angeles, pero si os fijáis bien el título, la X aparece separada, un claro juego de palabras que de momento no sabemos darle una explicación.

- 6×03: What Kate Does (Lo que hace Kate), centrado en Kate.

- 6×04: The Substitute (El sustituto), centrado en Locke.

- 6×05: Lighthouse (Faro), centrado en Jack.

- 6×06: Sundown (Puesta de sol), centrado en Sun y Jin.

Maggie Grace (Shannon) novemberben repül Hawaii-ra, hogy leforgasson néhány jelenetet a Lost 6. évadához. Lehetséges, hogy az Ian Somerhalder-ral (Boone) korábban forgatott jelenetekbe fogják majd belevágni. Szerk.: Hmm.. Úgy néz ki, a TVGuide tévedett. Kristin tegnap nyilatkozott erről az egészről, és Maggie menedzserje, ügynöke szerint még nem biztos, hogy visszatér a sorozatba. Amikor felkérték, akkor Maggie éppen egy Tom Cruise filmet forgatott, tehát nem igazán volt ideje Hawaii-ra repülnie. Még elképzelhető, hogy visszatér a sorozatba, de sajnos nem biztos.

• Az utolsó jeleneteket forgatták a Jack-centrikus epizódhoz. Pár nappal ezelőtt a egyik épületet egy középiskolává alakították, és a kinti jelenet abból állt, hogy Jack befutott az iskolába. Képek. Itt. És itt.
• Úgy néz ki, hogy a 6. évad januárban kezdődik, viszont “rövid” szünetet tart majd a téli olimpia miatt, ami február 12-től 28-ig tart.

Don’t mess with Liam Neeson’s family. Or just don’t mess with Liam Neeson in general.

While vacationing with a friend in Paris, an American girl (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by a gang of human traffickers intent on selling her into forced prostitution. Working against the clock, her ex-spy father (Liam Neeson) must pull out all the stops to save her.

This film proves two things: 1) Liam Neeson can act in anything by just playing them, and 2) director Pierre Morel can make some great exciting action-filled movies but cannot write an effective original screenplay at all. The film suffers from its totally lackluster script.

The relationship between Neeson and his daughter didn’t feel real or true at all and if anything it just felt like two actors playing father and daughter. Oh wait for a second that’s what it was, so basically they did just a horrible job at that. Much of the screenplay is very cliched, and most of the lines in this film feel a little too familiar to other action filled movies.

The movie sort of felt like a big-budget 80’s action film where one man fights off against a thousand people. This was cool to see in such a 21st century way but in all it was a laugh fest since the film was very corny and highly unrealistic. Also many of the villains seemed so dumb and not very much of a threat.

The high point of this film has got to be the action. Its exciting, over-the-top, and ultimately very violent. Just seeing Liam Neeson lay the whoop down on some Frenches is a sight to see. The film’s action is completely outrageous but that’s the best thing about the film it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Liam Neeson also shines very well in this film showing a great sense of raw edgieness that we have seen many times before but this more in a way that makes him dominant. He totally feels like a James Bond that knows kung-fu. Maggie Grace is great as the clueless, naive, rich, spoiled daughter that is kidnapped, while Famke Janssen as the equally naive, and estranged ex-wife of Neeson, pulls her role off well.

The film is very brainless but has a raw performance from Liam Neeson and features some high quality action that keeps you entertained throughout.

7/10=Rental!!!

Taken’s audience can be put into one single group: People who want to see Liam Neeson taking absolutely no shit whatsoever (for instance, if you’re a lifetime friend, and you stand in his way for even 5 minutes, he will shoot your wife) and kicking ass all around the board. If one is to look at it in terms of its target audience – does it succeed at providing 90 minutes of the most badass Liam Neeson you’ll ever see? It does indeed.

In place as Neeson’s motivation is his daughter (Maggie Grace), kidnapped by Albanian criminals with the prospect of being sold in some quite appaling human trafficking scheme while on vacation in France. Neeson must travel to Paris, take things in his own hands, beat up, severely injure and for the most part kill every single criminal in Europe. And so it begins.

Let’s not even waste any time thinking about the ethics of this film – it at least has the good grace to make the criminality involved some of the most reprehensible you’ll ever see in a hardcore action thriller, and somehow enabling the audience to think of every single bad guy as solely responsible for the entire web of human trafficking we see on the screen. The only qualms I have about it is the fact that most of the time minorities fill in as “bad guys”, but fortunately once the web of evil expands we see that it is seemingly run by what is undoubtedly not minorities. And really, that’s not what this film is about in any case.

What this film is is the two most loved action heroes wrapped into one bad ass protagonist. You’ve got the fatherly, sensitive yet still infinitely manly John McClane, and you’ve got the calculating, genius, well-trained and unbeatable Jason Bourne thrown into one character. And then you’ve got Liam Neeson in that role. It is thus probably the sum of the last 20 years of action film characters, and while the script, supporting cast, and the slightly too low-budget feel of it doesn’t meet the standards one would have to expect if one were to call this anything close to perfect, it is probably one of the years’ best thrillers. In fact, considering the other rubbish that came out around the same time (in Norway, anyway) – Knowing, Wolverine, etc, this is an extraordinary film and I’m baffled it was not released theatrically.

It drags on in the beginning, any scene without Liam Neeson outsmarting everyone within 100 yards is a bit too boring, the characters are poorly written or ignored (in what seems to be an attempt to shift focus onto Neeson’s character, who actually rings pretty true, so I guess it an be forgiven), and there’s a number of other problems with it. As long as it doesn’t cost you too much more, this is a great way to spend 90 minutes. Liam Neeson may be the only good thing about it, but boy, is he good.

The best thing about this movie was its intensity. From start to finish my heart was racing like crazy because I knew that something bad was always bound to happen. Liam Neeson stars as an ex-CIA agent father who embarks on a mission in Paris to rescue his daughter (Maggie Grace) from the hands of slave traders. I can see why this became a sleeper hit: it had a lot of genuine thrills, exciting action sequences, and a plot that was easy to understand. Aside from the obvious rescue mission, this was a story of revenge in its purest form, supported by the fact that Neeson’s character did not take any prisoner. This was essentially a very “guy” movie because the lead character had a one-track mind and would do anything–even hurt innocents–to get to his daughter. I’ve heard a lot of complaints from audiences that it did not make any sense that a “regular guy” suddenly turned into a Jason Bourne (from the “Bourne” series). I am happy to say that those people simply did not pay attention because in the exposition of the picture, it was discussed that Neeson’s character was once a part of the CIA. I feel that this criticism needs to be addressed because, as a person who waited to see this film on DVD, such comments implanted a seed in my head that the movie was going to be unbelievably atrocious. It was far from ridiculous because active agents who go on assassination missions do exist and, as we very well know (unless one is so deluded or lives in a bubble), slave trade exists as well. Lastly, I have to commend Neeson for essentially carrying this entire movie. Not only was I convinced that he was a dangerous man, but I was convinced that he was a father who really loved his daughter more than anybody in the world, including himself, even if his gestures were not quite appreciated given the amount of thought and effort that was put into them. (He’s very detailed-oriented.) Directed by Pierre Morel, “Taken” is a must-see movie for fans of secret agent films and those who love great suspense mixed with good action sequences.

Mês passado escrevi sobre um ator do elenco original de ‘Lost’ que não deseja voltar para o ano derradeiro da série. A notícia era verdadeira, mas ninguém sabia dizer exatamente quem era esse ator, ou atriz.

Mas agora a informação vazou. De acordo com o site do E!, a pessoa era a atriz Maggie Grace, a Shannon. Segundo o veículo, representantes da atriz negam que ela tenha assinado um contrato garantindo seu retorno, e confirmam que ela foi sim convidada.

Segundo seus assessores, a recusa de Maggie seria pela falta de tempo em sua agenda, já que a atriz estava comprometida com três longas seguidos.

Agora que estes longas já foram filmados, será que Maggie Grace voltará? Espero que sim.

Siento mi ausencia, espero escribir asiduamente, o al menos lo intento.

Cada vez falta menos para dos grandes estrenos de la temporada, al menos para el que escribe, (ambos se producirán en enero). Me refiero a Perdidos y a 24. De Perdidos es la última temporada, como saben, y los rumores son incesantes. Hay 11 posters diferentes de promoción, tráilers y diferentes campañas de marketing. Lo que si podemos confirmar es la aparición de viejos conocidos, SPOILER en los que se encuentra las actrices Emilie de Ravin (Claire) y Maggie Grace (Shannon) FIN DE SPOILER

Por otro lado, está mi querida “24” y su temporada 8. He visto el tráiler, y es espectacular. Con un elenco cada vez más numeroso y lleno de estrellas como Freddie Prinze Jr. (actor de la saga de Se Lo que hicisteis…, entre otras) Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck en la gran “Gálactica), y la vuelta de Elisha Cuthbert. Y yo esperando a navidades para poder ver la 7 temporada, marcada por la vuelta de un personaje que estaba muerto y que ahora es malo, Tony Almeida.

Más cosas, Telecinco ha anunciado la compra hoy mismo de nuevas series americanas para emitir en sus tres canales (Telecinco, 7 y FDF). Entre otras está la revelación de la temporada NCIS: Los Ángeles (spin off de Navy Investigación Criminal) ), Melrose Place, Mercy y Trauma (esta última cancelada oficialmente en Estados Unidos).

No es una noticia muy nueva, pero como no escribo desde hace tiempo, en Anatomía de Grey, para suplir las ausencias de dos de sus personajes más conocidos, eso sí, por tiempo breve, (no os digo de quién para no fastidiaros) han fichado a varios actores nuevos, entre ellos destacar a Kim Raven (24, Mujeres de Manhattan) que pondrá en peligro la relación entre Cristina y Owen. Siguiendo con Anatomía de Grey, su creadora ha desvelado que previniendo la futura pérdida de alguno de los actores principales, realizarán capítulos centrados en un único personaje para ver como reacciona la audiencia ante ellos. Tengo reconocer que deje de ver la serie, pero he vuelto en la quinta temporada y os la tengo que recomendar, está genial.

Por su parte, Marc Cherry, creador de Mujeres Desesperadas ha firmado para tener serie hasta 2013, lo que serían 9 temporadas, y añadirían dos, a las inicialmente previstas. Pero para que esto suceda, las actrices en 2011 tendrán que renovar su contrato y la audiencia no les debe abandonar. Pero es una buena noticia, para los amantes de esta serie.
