FREE NBA Sports Betting Pick: Cavs @ Lakers

Lebron James and the Cavs take on Kobe and the Lakers on Christmas day.

Kobe Vs Lebron on X-mas

Last year the Lakers owned the Cavs winning both game and now the Cavs will try to get revenge. The Cavs are a different team now and bring Shaq with them to try and slow down the best team in the West. Cleveland has covered seven of nine versus teams with a winning percentage above .600 and nine of 12 against winning outfits. The Cavs are 11-6 on the road this season and play nine of their next 13 on the road. The Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and today the meeting to watch will be Lebron against Ron Artest. If Lebron can take advantage of Ron Artest the Cavs have a shot of winning on the road again. The Cavs seem to rise to the occasion against the better teams in the league as evidence by this formula.

The Cavs have done some of their best work against elite competition: CLEVELAND is 15-4 ATS (+10.6 Units) versus excellent teams – shooting >=46% with a defense of <=43% over the last 3 seasons.

All signs point to Cleveland winning outright! Take the Cavs plus the points!
FREE NFL Sports Betting Pick:Chargers Vs Titans

The Chargers and the Titans meet on Christmas in a game that will affect the playoff race. The Chargers all but locked up the #2 seed in the AFC and the Titans have to win out to get the wildcard. With Chris Johnson chasing 2,000 yards they have a lot to play for. Tennessee has won five straight at home and the Titans are an imposing 17-4 as favorites of three points or less at LP Field. The Titans have injuries at linebacker that will pose a problem in the long run but not today as this is a huge revenge game and a grudge match for the Titans. The Titans have forced nine turnovers in last two games and are 7-0 ATS after consecutive games with a turnover margin of +1 or better over the last two seasons.Vince Young showed some flashes of his running ability in the Week 14 victory over St. Louis, but left after the 44-yard run because of a hamstring injury. He returned for last Sunday’s 27-24 overtime victory against Miami and played a more conventional game, rushing just twice for 24 yards. Young and the Titans are 5-2 SU & 4-2-1 ATS at home this season and 10-2-1 ATS in last 13 as hosts overall. The Chargers travel east and get beat on the road. The Titans are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0 and get the win and cover today.

So Dave McMenamin conjured up the Top 50 Lakers of All-Time list; granted, this is a HUGE undertakin

So Dave McMenamin conjured up the Top 50 Lakers of All-Time list; granted, this is a HUGE undertaking and I can’t pretend to know enough about the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s Lakers to compare to the modern Showtime/Lake Show Dynasties. That said, I do have some comments:

50. Ron Artest - unbelievable that he’s on the list. Unfair to workmanlike lakers that didn’t make the cut (No Terry Teagle? No Brian Shaw?) May end up being a great Laker, but it’s just too darn early.
49. Horace Grant – too low. A key cog in two Title Winners.
48. Mike McGee – Showtime wouldn’t have been Showtime without him.
47. Leroy Ellis
46. Kermit Washington – Honestly, the punch of Rudy T. bans him from this list, in my mind.
45. Cazzie Russell
44. Jim Price
43. Ron Harper – Best years with Bulls & Clippers, but literally the glue guard for Phil to create the Championship Dynasty.
42. Sedale Threatt – Good call. Tough role following Magic but he did it well. The funniest part was Chick Hearn always getting him , Van Exel & Kobe confused when Kobe was a rookie and they both had shaved heads.
41. Jim Chones

40. Luke Walton – I like the guy. I do. But 40th best All-Time Laker? Cmon.
39. Darrall Imhoff
38. Andrew Bynum – Might end up being Top 10 Laker for all I know. . .but for now is just a precocious, injury-prone Big with a tendency to disappear in big games.
37. Elmore Smith
36. Sam Perkins - The Sleepy-eyed bandit. . .I personally LOVED Sam. Too bad he only played two years with the LakeShow or else he’d be higher. Great years with Dallas & SeaTown though.
35. Elden Campbell - a ton of Laker fans hated this guy, but he was one of the original high-flying Centers. Never really consistent, but improved each year with the Lakers and appeared poised for greatness until a guy named Shaq rolled into town.
34. Cedric Ceballos – Obviously the Havasu stunt cost him a bit of respect, but he was one of the best ‘garbage’ scorers in the game. Played for the Lakers during the lean years, and his performance was more reflective of him being the best player on a bad team than overall greatness.
33. Kurt Rambis – Out of principle, respect and bespectacled envy should be at least ten slots higher.
32. “Hot” Rod Hundley – Good work filling in for Stu on the mic the other night. Too bad I never had the chance to see him play.
31. Frank Selvy

30. Mel Counts
29. Trevor Ariza - Hold on, I’m still laughing about this slot. Seriously?!?!? Ariza – 29th?!?!? For one nice Playoff series? Maybe – MAYBE – makes the 40-50 range but 29 is absolutely ridiculous.
28. Glen Rice – Ahhh, one of the five purest shooters in a generation. Gained a bit too much weight to really be effective toward the end, but what a sweet sweet three-bomber. Still should be lower on the list though – never really scored enough for the Purple & Gold.
27. Mychal Thompson - Ahhh, the Bahaman Banger. He was a great, great backup for Kareem and played a key role on a couple of Titles.
26. Bob McAdoo – Really deserves respect for sacrificing a Hall of Fame career as a scorer to win some rings. Great work.
25. Rick Fox – Could even be a bit higher due to his dirty nastiness as a role player for the squad.
24. Nick Van Exel – My absolute favorite Laker between dynasties. Lefty Treys ALL day.
23. Jim McMillian
22. Eddie Jones – fun, exciting, talented, hustling, hard-working. . .sort of like Ariza. . .that actually played well for quite a well and deserves to be this high.
21. Vlade Divac – Could be even higher since his value as a Laker is quintupled by the fact that the Lakers received Kobe Bryant in a trade for him.

20. Robert Horry – Big Shot Bob may not have been a maven numbers-wise, but for his clutchness, deserves to be about five slots higher.
19. A.C. Green – Good guy, good player.
18. Happy Hairston
17. Lamar Odom – Fair.
16. Rudy LaRusso
15. Norm Nixon
14. Pau Gasol - Premature to put him this high, but after one more ring I’m sold.
13. Jamaal Wilkes – Smooth as silk, even with the unorthodox J.

12. Michael Cooper- The Man invented the Alley Oop (with Magic) and played hellacious D and could hit the three. And those Socks? Jeez – Coop may be top ten for all I know.
11. Derek Fisher – Initially I thought this was too high. Then I remember 0.4, four rings, and his stoic, calming demeanor. Great player, great call.

10. Byron Scott – Honestly? Might be too high for me. Great third option, but did he do more than score a bit?
9. Gail Goodrich – Poly of Sun Valley in the house, baby.
8. James Worthy – “Big Game James.” ‘Nuff Said
7. Elgin Baylor – Did most of his dirty work with Minneapolis or would have been higher.
6. Wilt Chamberlain – The Stilt was incredible, and being sixth on any list is an injustice; that said, he was more valuable for Philadelphia, etc, and only won one ring as a Laker. Fair.
5. Jerry West – Again, Jerry West fifth on any list is a travesty. . .except this is pretty fair.
4. Shaquille O’Neal – Ushered in the New Dynasty, then tried to take it with him on the way out. Too bad #3 had something to say about that:
3. Kobe Bryant – and climbing. . .
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – Sky Hook, Airplane, All-Time Points Leader, The Goggles. . .
1. Magic Johnson – Does it get better than this? Literal best L.A. ATHLETE of ALL-Time, not just Laker.

With great power comes great responsibility…or a license for you to be an enormous Big Gulp sized jerkass.

Take a second to think about the biggest sports stars of the last twenty years. Not just your every day all-star, but the guys that you only have to say one name to know.

Here’s a list: Jordan, Tiger, Bonds, Favre, Gretzky, Magic, Agassi, Beckham, Kobe, and Tyson.

You could even go back farther if you would like: Wilt, The Babe, Mantle, and Namath.

So what gives? Why are these guys who are so highly regarded for their athletic abilities such complete and total shmucks?

I think that it is because they are constantly being coached and told what to say and do, and when they finally just don’t give a rat’s ass anymore they tend to act out against the persona that has been created for them.

Some gamble (MJ, Gretzky) some sleep around with some questionable women-folk (Magic, Tiger, Kobe, Wilt, Babe, Kobe, MJ), some turn to substance abuse (Babe, Mantle, Agassi, Namath, Bonds, Favre), some are just crazy and beat people up (You know who you are Iron Mike.), and some are just British. (Oh, Becks. You sexy futbol star.)

The problem is that we can never even imagine how these freaky uber-competative athletes feel. None of us can even come close to their wealth or talent level. I think that this is a trend that will continue as long as we live in an ultra-sensitive, mega informed society.

Think about some of the names that you may be hearing in the future: Federrer, LeBron, Nadal, Landon Donovan (Best American soccer player ever, maybe.), Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Dwayne Wade, or Kobe…again.

I think any or all of these athletes should be on watch and really think about how they are living their lives. Because if history has shown us anything it’s that it repeats itself. I have already stated in a previous article my future pick for athlete falling flat is the one and only Tim ‘Second only to God’ Tebow, now we just have to wait and see.

The US squad, led by Hall of Famers Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, slapped high-fives, dished off n0-look passes, shoot three-pointers and dunked over mesmerized oppositions to the delight of the millions of basketball fans all over the world.

Who is the Most Clutch Laker of All-Time?

(click on each photo for a youtube compendium
of each player's greatest clutch moments)

a) Earvin “Magic” Johnson

Magic won five rings, beginning with his clutch step-in for Kareem as a Rookie in 1980. Always phenomenal but at his best at the end of games – you needed the ball in Magic’s hands.

Best clutch moment: The Baby Hook vs. Boston in 1987.

b) Jerry West – “The Logo”

Jerry West played prior to the 3-point line, and was considered the best pure shooter of his (and possibly any) era. So ice cold that he literally can NOT watch games or even highlights of games in which his team lost.

Best Clutch Moment: Full-court buzzer beater vs. Knicks in 1969 NBA Finals, sending the series to 7 games.

c) Kobe Bryant – “Black Mamba”

Literally ice cold. An Assasin. A killer. Wants the ball when the game is on the line. Will make the big shot.

Best clutch moment: Take your pick: 81, Kobe vs. Sacramento, Kobe vs. Portland. . .

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been two-and-a-half weeks since we first learned of the bizarre

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been two-and-a-half weeks since we first learned of the bizarre accident outside of Tiger Woods’ massive mansion in Windemere, Fla. Since then, we’ve watched in awe and wonderment as the carefully-crafted image of one of the world’s most famous, popular and marketable athletes shatter into millions of pieces.

Across those same two-and-a-half weeks, a lot of things have been said, a lot of judgments have been made and a lot of opinions have changed about Tiger Woods. But to me, the one thing that defines the insanity that has been these past 18 days of “Tiger Watch” is something my grandmother said in the first days after this all began to spill out into public view.

“I didn’t think he was like that.”

In a nutshell, that’s what has caused this whole uproar from the beginning; not because Tiger is black, not because his wife is white, but because he has so carefully and so perfectly created this image of being the model citizen and blank slate and unbelievable competitor, everyone thought he could do no wrong.

Now we know that is far from the truth.

All of this, the way I see it, goes back to the way Tiger and his team have handled things ever since the legendary Charlie Pierce’s epic profile of Woods back in the late 1990s. After some racy things that then-21-year-old Tiger said in the piece, he quickly went about creating an image, much like Michael Jordan did 20 years earlier, of being a perfectly blank slate, one that everyone – young and old, black and white, male and female – would consider attractive, appealing and marketable. Clearly, Jordan’s mantra, “Republicans buy sneakers, too” was one that Woods bought into completely.

And for good reason, given what it brought him. It’s no secret that Tiger became the most marketable athlete in the world over the past dozen years (you don’t become the first athlete ever to make a billion dollars by creating controversies). That, along with his incredible successes on the golf course, made Woods larger than life in the eyes of many, if not most people. It made him, in the eyes of people like my grandmother, a terrific person on top of being arguably the greatest golfer of all time.

All of that led to Woods taking the mantle from Jordan as the world’s biggest athlete, and along with that making him the world’s greatest pitchman. But by making himself that completely blank slate, by not letting people into his life, by having a $20 million dollar yacht named “Privacy,” Tiger also made himself perhaps the most mysterious celebrity in the world – and absolutely in the sports world. No one knew anything about him, other than that he loves to play golf and loves to keep the rest of his life out of the limelight.

It is that fact that allowed this entire scandal to get traction, and begin to spin-off and take a life of its own. Because Tiger Woods is the biggest athlete on the planet, there’s no question that this would have been a big story no matter how it came out. But it’s the way that it came out, the way that it all started, that has created so much intrigue and drama.

Who gets in an accident less than a hundred yards from their home by running into a fire hydrant and a tree at a little after 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving night? Why does a woman who looks the part of a model more than a bodybuilder break out the windows of a car with a golf club in order to drag her 190-pound husband through the car? How does someone get in that kind of accident and then end up laying in the street snoring less than five minutes later?

These would be enticing questions if this kind of thing took place on a suburban street in New Jersey; of course they are going to be talked about incessantly when the situation involves the world’s biggest athlete, and takes place just outside of his home. And once those questions began to be asked, the next one was just as obvious: Why would he be leaving the house at such an hour?

That, of course, also hasn’t been answered, though the various women that have come out since then have allowed for most of us to become pretty sure as to why it happened that way. And that’s where we stand now; with plenty of questions still unanswered, and with Tiger deciding last week to take an indefinite leave of absence from golf in order to get his personal life in order.

Now, there have been plenty of people that I respect tremendously, including Jason Whitlock, who have said that the only reason this story has been dragged out into the light like this, and examined so closely over the past two weeks, because Tiger Woods is black and his wife is a white, Swedish model. In my opinion, this just isn’t the case.

Look at all of those questions that are left unanswered at this point. If this same, exact story had taken place with Peyton Manning, with Tom Brady, would the reaction really be much different? Would there be less interest and excitement if Peyton Manning had crashed his car outside his home in Indianapolis and then roughly a dozen women came out and said he’d had affairs with him? In my opinion, the reaction absolutely would be the same, or at least very, very close to it.

In Whitlock’s recent column on the subject on FOXSports.com, part of his argument that Woods is being unfairly treated is the fact that, in the past, Muhammad Ali, Jordan and Magic Johnson all cheated on their wives (all of whom were African-American), and that they received a relative pass from the general public for it. I don’t think many people would argue that those men didn’t receive very much attention for their transgressions (at least compared to what Tiger is currently enduring), but Whitlock, in arguing that point, leaves out one crucial, essential element to the story: today’s media climate.

Twenty years ago, when those various affairs were taking place, the media largely stayed out of the personal lives of athletes, generally leaving them to their own devices. All that mattered was what took place on the basketball court or inside the boxing ring, in the case of Ali, Jordan and Johnson. There wasn’t a rabid demand and market for parasitic organizations that call themselves “journalists”, like TMZ and RadarOnline and OK! Magazine and US Weekly, to hound people and follow their every move and dig up every thing that has ever happened to them. People were content to watch their players play, and after that they didn’t really care what they did in their spare time.

Now, unfortunately (at least to me), we have decided that we are entitled to know everything about everyone, which leaves people like Tiger vulnerable if they have skeletons in their closet for these people to track down and unveil for the whole world to see.

Does anyone really think that Michael Jordan would have been left unscathed by this environment? Does anyone think that he would have been less affected by this whole thing in today’s stalker environment simply because he was the same ethnicity as his wife, and that’s the root cause for this whole story? I fundamentally can’t agree with that thought. No one has ever been bigger than Jordan; luckily for him, he managed to get away with all of his partying and cheating and eventual divorce from his wife in a time when people weren’t especially concerned with whether he cheated or not; all that mattered was if he could put the ball in the basket better than anyone who ever lived (and he could).

Through his actions, Tiger has proven, in almost every way, to be the modern-day version of Michael Jordan. It might be a funny way of saying it to most people, calling Tiger the “modern-day Jordan”, but, when you think about it, how can you argue it? They have the same strategy in terms of marketing, they both have the same way of handling their business in their respective sports, and, as the last two weeks have shown, they both seem to have a great interest in the opposite sex, whether they were married or not.

If Jordan was in his prime today, rather than 20 years ago, I don’t think there is any question that he would have eventually found himself in a very similar situation to the one Woods’ finds himself in now. Because he, like Tiger, made himself into a blank slate for advertisers to look at and use as they felt they needed to in order to sell various products, the same kinds of problems would have befallen him if the 24-hour news cycle was following his various failings in the same way they are with Woods now.

The only difference between the two men is timing. If Tiger was playing 20 years ago, this barely registers, just as Jordan’s incidents barely registered at the time. Even now, if this was simply news of various affairs with women, it would quickly be swept under the rug. But because of the way this all started, with a mysterious accident taking place outside of his home in the early morning hours of the day after Thanksgiving, with so many questions left unanswered (and with Woods seemingly unwilling to answer them now, or anytime soon), it has allowed people’s imaginations to run wild, and has dragged Tiger down with them day after day after day.

Three weeks ago, if someone had told Tiger Woods he was the “modern-day Michael Jordan”, he likely would have smiled and said thanks, or said that he didn’t deserve to wear that crown, having idolized Jordan himself. But now, after the events of the past few weeks, it’s clear that the two are more alike than any of us have ever realized.

I apologize for the delay in blogging. I’ve been quite busy over the past few days. Over the last four days, I’ve chronicled three basketball games (one college, two high school) and three practices (two college, one high school). This time of year – basketball season – tends to be my busiest, since I cover the largest class of high school sports as well as the two local university teams.

Anyway, I am back. At least for now. I’m not sure how much more I’ll be blogging. I recently ordered two books from amazon.com – Magic Johnson & Larry Bird’s “When the Game was Ours” and Tim Donaghy’s “Personal Foul”.

In the past three hours, I’m already 87 pages into Donaghy’s book. It’s an interesting read. As I’ve stated before, I believe Donaghy to be someone who fell into the sinful addiction of gambling. But I believe every word he says in regard to the league and its curious behavior, such as favoring star players and its desire for prolonged series as to boost TV ratings and fan interest. The FBI found him to be a cooperative witness and someone who they believe to be 100 percent truthful in his accounts of what happened when he bet on professional basketball.

Since I believe him to be true, it’s a shame to see what the NBA has become – a league riddled with dishonesty, corruption and deceit. Donaghy made his bets strictly on his knowledge of the referees and their relationships with players, owners or specific teams. He goes into particular detail in his book about this, and it does make sense. It’s sad. It truly is, and it’s no wonder why so many people are turned off by professional basketball.

Anyway, I shall give a better review once I am through. I recently finished Bill Simmons’ “The Book of Basketball”, which is extremely entertaining and a funny and smooth read in spite of its 700-page tally. But it’s not insightful, really, and for someone who is nothing more than a fan like the rest of us, his words must be taken with a grain of salt.

He knows his basketball, though.

Chris Ballard’s book, “The Art of a Beautiful Game”, I also finished recently. It is a great, great read, and one I highly recommend. It takes a deep look into different nuances of the game, such as rebounding, shooting, training and other aspects of NBA ball. He talks to players/specialists such as Ben Wallace and Steve Kerr at length in order to get inside their mind and see how they develop and maintain their craft.

Like I said, a great read. Pro basketball definitely needed a book like this – a scientific account of the game, if you will – and Ballard delivers.

Alas, that is all I have for now. Just wanted to give a brief update about the recent hiatus. Not much has changed since I last blogged. The Lakers and Celtics are still the class of the NBA, and John Wall is worth all the talk and hype as college basketball’s next great one-and-done.

Until next time, folks …

That same year, rookies Larry Bird and Earvin “Magic” Johnson joined the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers respectively, initiating a period of significant growth in fan interest in the NBA throughout the country and the world. Johnson went on to lead the Lakers to five title trophies and Bird went on to lead the Celtics to three . Also in the early ’80s, the NBA added one more expansion franchise, the Dallas Mavericks, bringing the total to 23 teams. Later on, Larry Bird won the first two three-point shooting contests ever.

Today I woke up to the news that one of my African-American broadcasting heroes, Bryant Gumbel, is recovering from a bought with malignant lung cancer. Gumbel is 61 years young, and his presence in the broadcasting community has had a major impact for several years.

I call him a pioneer, because Bryant broke into the national media at a time when it was not too popular to have a black man in a leading position on the TV news, or even in Sports news, although more likely than not, African-Americans were dominating all of the popular American sports the moment we were allowed to compete against non-black athletes.

USA Today reports that…Gumbel was among the first announcers to cross over from sports to general entertainment. After working as a reporter and studio host for NBC Sports, he became an NBC Today show host. In recent years, he’s returned to TV sports including working as the NFL Network’s first play-by-play game announcer although he hadn’t previously called football games…

Bryant Gumbel defeated all of his competition to rise to the esteemed position as lead Host on the ”Today” show, on the NBC television network. He is credited with promoting Katie Couric and for mentoring current ”Today” show host Matt Lauer throughout their careers.

I continue to follow his career, and enjoy regularly watching his Sports show ”Real Sports” on the HBO cable television network.

It is unclear to me if Bryant was a regular smoker of cigarettes, but he is known to enjoy a celebratory cigar from time to time, but there is no evidence that any of that is the cause of his cancer battle.

One does not have to be a smoker to develop lung cancer, but it is usually at cause for the disease.

Bryant Gumbel announced Tuesday morning that he had cancer surgery two months ago to remove a malignant tumor near his lung. The subject came up during a live taping of the ”Live! with Regis and Kelly,” where Bryant is filling in this week for co-host Regis Philbin, who is undergoing hip replacement surgery, Gumbel brought it up to explain why he could not dance with co-host Kelly Ripa.

Needless to say, Kelly and the audience were stunned. Bryant said that he kept it away from his staff and close relationships, but he did tell his immediate family. The broadcaster is notoriously private.

The former ‘Today’ show anchor says he had a tumor and part of his lung removed two months ago.

He states that he is seeing his surgeon next week.

“I’m hoping they greenlight me to play golf again,” he said.

I really wish the best of outcomes for Mr. Gumbel, and in light of the recent announcement of basketball legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s cancer announcement, let this be a message to all men, especially black men, that we are more susceptible to these diseases than most, simply because of the fear of visiting the doctor, but mainly many of us are not covered by health insurance, and by the time we do seek medical assistance, it is too late.

http://wp.me/pEzT2-kk

Senator Harry Reid was correct to say that the Republican’s are resisting Health care reform much like the Democratic senator’s that were resisting the abolishment of slavery, prior to the Civil War.

They want us to not have health care, so that the majority of us will die off quickly and they are committed to our death from disease.

I applaud Senator Harry Reid, who is only speaking the truth, to those that already know that they hate us, as much as they loved slavery.

I am glad that Bryant has the financial ability to provide health care to his family and himself, and I encourage all men to go seek the highest level of medical care you are able to receive, even if you have to go to a free clinic.

Your family and future may depend on it.

A 35-year-old New Zealand man is facing up to 14 years in prison for sentencing his wife to a lifeti

A 35-year-old New Zealand man is facing up to 14 years in prison for sentencing his wife to a lifetime of pain and suffering, when he forcibly injected her twice with a sewing needle that he had soaked and dipped in HIV tainted blood.

The diseased blood came from his own body, and he injected his 33-year-old unsuspecting wife while she was sleeping next to him in their marital bed.

This is the ultimate betrayal because the young wife did not choose to leave him once he was diagnosed to be HIV positive, and she was not. She decided to stay by his side and to care for him, through thick and thin.

It is being reported that the man injected her with the disease because his wife decided to abstain from sex with him…because he was HIV positive, which only makes good sense.

If he truly loved her, he would not want to subject her to his disease, and he should have been appreciative that she decided to support him.

But no…this man is a self obsessed narcissist, and the he only cares about his own self-gratification, and is devoid of love. Unfortunetly for his wife, she realized this far too late for her to preserve her health.

The man claimed that he did it so that his wife would start having sex with him again, as she had refused to do so out of fear of contracting the disease. He gave her the virus by pricking her with a sewing needle tainted with his blood.

The Telegraph.co.uk reports that…His wife told a New Zealand court that she discovered a sting-like mark on her left thigh in May last year. Later that day, when she returned home unexpectedly, she saw her husband in the bedroom with a syringe full of blood.

Two days later she awoke to a stinging feeling in her leg, the Australian Associated Press reported. He denied pricking her, but later she found evidence of “blood sprinkles” on the duvet.

In September, when her doctor suggested a test at a routine checkup, she found she was HIV-positive.

This definitely gives us all something to think about, as this is one of those crimes of passion that seems to rate as an attempt on her life.

This is a case of ‘’slow murder” that is premeditated ,coupled with biological warfare. Life in prison would be a more likely charge in my opinion, but he will soon die from his disease.

I hope that they do not treat him for it, and with hold his medication so he can suffer before he dies. It sure seems like he had a good and loyal wife, who does not deserve what she is going through.

Police charged the man in October of last year. Keep the needles to yourself…and leave them to those that need them in order to survive, but absolutely not to kill, as in this case of marital abuse…

It’s been 30 years since Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, then wide-eyed rookies with immense potential, took the National Basketball Association to a new brand of basketball.

Johnson, a proven winner from high school to college, where his Michigan Lancers ended what could have been a perfect season for Bird and his Indiana Sycamores in the US NCAA national championship the year before, injected passion, love for the game and introduced “Showtime” basketball to the world of pro basketball.

If Seattle is going to make the playoffs or play a role in how the west is won they need to win this game. They have one of the best home field advantages in the NFL and will be glad to be home after a long road trip. Seattle has been a betting bonanza at Qwest Field after Thanksgiving, cashing at a 7-0-1 clip. Seattle will thrive off that last win in St. Louis and take it to the 49ers in a big win at home.

Free NCAA Football Sports Betting Pick for Saturday

West Virginia @ Rutgers

This one has classic game written all over it. This West Virginia team is off a huge win against Pittsburgh and now will hit the road for some letdown. Rutgers has covered four of the last six meetings, with the under cashing in three of the previous four. West Virginia enters on a bad ATS run, dropping four of its previous six games versus the number. The Scarlet Knights are 4-1 ATS in their last five with the ‘under’ winning out in four of their most recent six games. Look for more of the same this week as Rutgers gets the win over the mountaineers. The sure tell sign is Rutgers an unranked team favored over a ranked team. Drop the small number in this Big East tilit.

The Utah Jazz, along with six other teams, are participating in a series of games this season called NBA Hardwood Classic Nights. Wednesday night, the games were tipped off when Cleveland wore their retro home jerseys from the 1988-1989 season. There are 62 total NBA Hardwood Classic Nights games, and 17 of which are being nationally televised. The other five teams participating in this includes the Orlando Magic, Portland Trailblazers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, and the Toronto Raptors.

The Jazz are involved with this because the franchise is celebrating their 30th anniversary of moving from New Orleans to Utah. The Jazz will don the retro green jerseys from the 1979-1980 team. 3 out of the 11 games scheduled with these uniforms will be nationally televised.

With the New Orleans Jazz struggling with attendance and losing over five million dollars over a few seasons, original owner Sam Battistone decided to move the Jazz to the smaller market city of Salt Lake. Even though Salt Lake City was a smaller market, they had shown that they could support a pro basketball team when the popular Utah Stars played there from 1970-1976. The team decided to keep their name even though Salt Lake was not known for it’s jazz culture. They also kept the original colors of purple, green, and gold, even though those are the colors of Mardi Gras. It took over six seasons for the Jazz to turn their struggles around in Salt Lake. If the Jazz had not traded their pick in the ‘79 draft, their move would have been a little smoother because with that pick, the Lakers took Magic Johnson.

In the first season playing in Salt Lake, the Jazz posted a 24-58 record, and thankfully enough have posted better records since then. Some things have changed like moving out of the Salt Palace into the Delta Center/Energy Solutions Arena. Other things have not changed like Jerry Sloan being head coach in all but seven years of the past three decades. I personally am thankful for the Jazz moving to Salt Lake, and personally I am thankful for them wearing these retro jerseys because they are straight powder!
