Website - www.musicproducerpro.net

Everyday i hear producers or people asking me they want to produce music but they have no clue how to start doing it, they want to make hit records but they don’t know how to .. it’s really simple to be honest. First of all you need to be yourself.. don’t exactly watch other people and want to be them .. have your own identity.. after all they are themselves and got there by being themselves..

You will need to get some music production software or hardware – this is what you produce the music on and is key to making music, without this there will be no music – you will then have to some how learn how to use the software in a mannor where you will be making music the listener wants to hear.. there no point in making music that only you and your family wanna hear.. you need to make something that appeals to the mass market. It may sound cheesy but that is indeed what people want these days.

You will need to make many songs, build up a little fanbase and keep it moving everyday until one day someone will notice you.. go study some music production courses (www.musicproducerpro.net) go find out what music production software is best for you.. or even hardware. You need to think and live music if you want to suceed and become one of the best!!

He was my best friend, my husband. He believed in me when nobody else could spare the time or energ

He was my best friend, my husband. He believed in me when nobody else could spare the time or energy. He understood my weird, unhealthy ways. He loved me. He was a great father and step-father… even though he was fighting his own demons everyday.

What he was not was a businessman. He tried to make a go of an upholstery business - but it didn’t work, because he was slow and meticulous…and he wouldn’t go after people who owed us money. We lost everything in a bankruptcy.

He was also one of the most talented pianists in the area. He didn’t own a piano at that time, because his mother wouldn’t let him have the one she’d bought for him. Why? Because she hated me, and that was her way of punishing him for marrying me.

I would watch him sit in the kitchen and play imaginary songs – ones that only he could hear in his head- on the tabletop. I suggested that he call his mother and beg her to let him have his piano. Never hurts to ask, right?

Oh my, yes it does. He called. He asked. And she said no…that she would never let him have the piano…that she was in fact going to will it to her granddaughter upon her death.

I watched his face as he heard her response. I saw him fall to the floor, sobbing, after he hung up. He absolutely couldn’t believe that his own mother could be so cruel.

I then suggested that we sell everything we could…including our beautiful wedding rings…to buy him a piano. We did that. It was probably one of the highlights of his life at that time. We had very little else…but he had his piano.

I’ve never been so poor and yet felt so rich in my life. We moved to Florida. Used cardboard boxes for furniture, and a styrofoam chest for a refrigerator. We had beds, our clothes. and that wonderful piano.

Life was hard. It became much harder. But I will always remember how he would play that instrument like he was pouring his soul out to the universe.

Crowds of hundreds heard him play at the retreat where we lived. He changed peoples’ lives with his music.

Today that piano sits in our son’s home. Seeing it brings back so many sad, and happy, memories for me.

Today he has a nine foot Steinway in his home. He can make beautiful music whenever he wants. But he’s paid a hell of price for that joy. Beauty is sometimes so costly.

I love you, my friend. And I’m glad you have your music…your soul…your wonderful piano. God bless you richly. You so deserve it.

Love,

Pat

I’ve read a lot of poetry over 2009. Here are some of the books that have made their way into

I’ve read a lot of poetry over 2009. Here are some of the books that have made their way into my collection and enriched my year (in no particular order):

‘Africa: Kabbo, Mantis and the Porcupine’s Daughter’ by Alistair Paterson (Puriri Press) – a long poem that explores humanity’s African origins. Click here for a useful review by Terry Locke).

Here’s an extract from ‘Africa’:

*
They’re alive
our ancestors are alive

they live through us & yet
there’s a sense in which

what’s happened seems
never to have happened

in which thinking about it
what’s gone, what’s over
is like looking at a church
examining it (the church)

from a distance, admiring
the lift & luft of the spire…”

‘The Rocky Shore’ by Jenny Bornholdt (Victoria University Press) – long autobiographical poems, which sparked an interesting discussion about what constitutes poetry between Iain Sharp (writing in Landfall) and Joanna Preston (on her blog). Personally, I take a pretty liberal view regarding what is and isn’t poetry. (I wrote about this last year. http://janisfreegard.wordpress.com/2008/11/30/poem-is-a-poem-is-a-poem/ ) I’m more interested in whether it’s writing that I enjoy (and I always enjoy Jenny Bornholdt’s).

‘Moose Beetle Swallow’ by Estonian surrealist poet Andres Ehin (Southword Editions) – beautifully translated by Irish poet Patrick Cotter (see Patrick Cotter’s website). There’s a review here from Penniless Press. One thing I found very interesting about this collection was how the translations differ from other translations of the same poems. Consider this opening extract of ‘To be a Dog Apartment’ http://elm.einst.ee/issue/17/poetry-andres-ehin/

“to be a dog-apartment with three barking rooms
with a snout-bathroom
where one tap dribbles cold
and the other hot slobber”

and Patrick Cotter’s version:

“Imagine an apartment made of dog
three rooms of bark, a bathroom of snout

the cold tap dribbles, the hot tap slobbers”

Both are great, but each paints a very different picture.

‘Making Music’ by Patrick Cotter (Three Spires Press). Quirky, fun in that dark way, full of angels.

‘Nearest and Dearest’ by Mary Cresswell (Steele Roberts) – poems full of satire and humour. (I interviewed Mary on this blog).

‘My Iron Spine’ by Helen Rickerby (Headworx). Includes very entertaining poems about Katherine Mansfield, Joan of Arc, Emily Dickinson and other famous women.

‘through windows’ by Susana Lei’ataua (Steele Roberts). I saw Susana perform this as a one-woman show at Bats a few years ago. It’s based on her time in New York and has the sounds of the subway running through it:

                                    “I am a train

tearing through neighbourhoods

this and that

this and that

this and that

side of the state line.”

(to be continued…and apologies for the spacing – I just can’t get it to work)

Producing Music from your own Music Production Studio no longer is as hard as it once use to be, you

Producing Music from your own Music Production Studio no longer is as hard as it once use to be, you do not have to spend mega bucks a month renting somebody else’s studio when you can have your own Home Studio. Music Production is either born in you and you are a musical naturally but like many thousands of talented producers they had to learn.

Don’t think because you don’t know a thing about making music there is no hope, there is great hope and I know exactly what can get you making beats in no time, entering competitions and ultimately getting you a internship with a major record label. ‘I wanna make music’, ‘I want to Produce Music’, ‘I Want to make beats’ and ‘I want to be the next big thing’ are phrases I hear from newbie producers every day, but are they doing anything about it? Are they getting the information they need? And I think the answer is no.

I have found a website that can turn someone who hasn’t got a creative mind into a master mind, and to think if you have a general interest in making music.. You will go far. I am going to post a link at the bottom of this page and I suggest if you wish to get into the music industry you check it out and have a look at the information because it goes so deep you will think you famous before you are.

Stay forced and you will suceed.

Vist this website for more information – http://www.musicproducerpro.net

Don’t get sit there about think about making music, or try making music when you don’t have a clue. Get help and learn how to produce music correctly, you need to advance as quickly as possible and keep high consistent music coming out everyday. You need to get a myspace and build up a fan base, sell your music yourself and be an independent artist as much as you can be to be noticed by the major record companies. I want you to make it so take my advice and do the above, it will only benefit you and in the long run if you take it seriously.

Producing is something you can learn in your spare time and is something that can be very profitable, you can make hundreds a day just producing music and putting them for sale on the net. A few of my friends to this and make hundreds every single day before they consistently make good music and maintain a good reputation. This is the same image that you want to mirror to become a known artist, you want to put out music regularly and build a fan base. Build a name for yourself, a brand, something you could take to a fashion label and say I want to make some clothing with you or even aftershaves. Look at what the major artists are doing in the fashion world and believe that can be you, you could be up on that poster in times square if you put in enough work. Consistently putting out good quality music is the key.

The best way to learn is always to be taught when it’s something so creative, well taught to a certain level and then left to be creative. You need to find out how to use music production software and learn how you can use it to express and create hit records for the world. Start today producing music properly today, find somebody that can help you and push you to make that music consistently. Someone that will tell you when your standards are dropping or growing, someone that can teach you about sampling and looping, mixing and mastering, Everything you need to know about the music studio.

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net Many producers all around the world want to start making hi

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net

Many producers all around the world want to start making hip hop music but have no idea how to go about it.. they have an idea they want to make loads of money from making music but have no idea how to go about it. Well first things first you will need to get some software or hardware that you can start composing some music on – this is what music is actually made with, it doesnt have to be made using live instruments. Infact 95% of music you hear now is all made by computers and not real instruments unless your into rock or indie.

The key to make music in hip hop that sales is to make something that people can sing along to or can easily relate to – you need to make music with a meaning or a purpose to the general publics lifes. There is no point making a song about nothing, make it personal to yourself or interesting to the audience listening to it. Think about the music that you like and basically copy what they are doing, why do you think they have made it? because they are clearly appealing to even YOU – that is what makes an amazing producer/artist. Look at Beyonce who brings thousands of fans that can relate to her music all into one room to watch her then perform those songs. What is stopping YOU doing this?

There are many places online where you can learn everything you need to start making music that sells and even if it’s not selling to the public start selling your hiphop music to other artists so they can make songs to your beats and get paid! i know producers doing this and are making over $100,000. You can be apart of that dream today!

These videos I’m sharing today put a whole new spin on teaching instruments and the orchestra;

These videos I’m sharing today put a whole new spin on teaching instruments and the orchestra; I believe you’ve got to somehow include this in your lesson plans! Click here: Vegetable Orchestra

The above video I found on my MSN home page today; I decided to do some research, and found links to the source: The Vienna Vegetable Orchestra. For those of you who have your students make their own orchestra instruments, this is a trip!

Here is a sample of their concert work:

An innovative way of making music….as music teachers, finding a way to “serve up” the orchestra can be dry. Our responsibility is to motivate; this is a fine choice for teaching the instruments, and for an extension of teaching “found sound”. Enjoy!
