I am not sure about most of the Malaysians out there but i personally is starting to notice that our current Malaysian government is slowly sucking our hard earn money away from us. Before you go about shouting and screaming at me, allow me to elaborate some of the government actions recently:

1. Changing of RON97 to RON95 – do i need to explain more? Changing a superior product to inferior product while maintaining the same price, do you dare to claim that RON95 is better than RON97? But then i think this is a master stroke from our G as currently i’m using RON95 without any problems…damn!

2. RM50 credit card fee – so where do you think the new RM50 credit card fees goes to? Our G of course ! Kononnya wanna help rakyat to control spending, but do you actually think those who are seriously in debt will actually reduce their credit cards based on RM50 fees? Hell no, i bet they will still go grab 10 cards out there and pay the RM500 fees and then max out the cards.

3. No sugar subsidy – Oooo… suddenly our G becomes very concern about our health, wanna cut off the sugar subsidy to reduce sugar intake. Hmm, actually i don’t have problem with this policy, it’s good that everyone can reduce their sugar intake, afterall, it’s not good for health, but then, my main point here is reduce subsidy, so where the savings of subsidy goes to?

4. GST of 4% – Whoaa hahahahaha, so now everything we buy will be charged 4% tax? Since when our people become so rich eh? And what is the basis of charging 4% tax to the people? What service are we actually paying for? Hmmm, i will agree with this implementation if we don’t have to pay our income tax, so whatever stuff that we buy just charge the 4% tax, but *tooot*, we’re paying our income tax and yet now we have to pay some service tax? Malaysia is fast becoming a tax heaven!

So you see, i can’t help but wonder what’s coming next, how much more do the G wanna suck the money from us?

I’ve read with utmost disgust on the article by the the most fabricated lies ever by a netizen

I’ve read with utmost disgust on the article by the the most fabricated lies ever by a netizen using the guise of I Love Malaysia at Malaysiatoday website. Apparently this particular writer, I Love Malaysia , is being paid solely to write without knowing the truth. How can one promote truth and justice when there are self-interest at hand. Hereby demand that this writer checked his facts right before harming any people especially when it is done at the expenses at hitting out MyLivingWall, Ms AL and Bangsar Group. We strongly opposed the article as we know the real truth behind. The writer also spelt the former President Ka Ting name wrongly. It is stupidity at work.

Also to expose these invisible cyber crooks sprouting lies, demand that the writer. I Love Malaysia in his column at MalaysiaToday reveal his funder and motives truthfully to the world.

http://malaysia-today.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=28725:the-bald-truth-about-how-one-bn-partys-venture-into-cyberspace-hit-a-wall&catid=22:the-corridors-of-power&Itemid=100085

Excerpts are the article at malaysia-today.net

Article by I Love Malaysia:

Most people thought BN component parties headed into cyberspace only after the watershed March 8 2008 general election which saw the opposition make unprecedented gains, largely due to the primary and secondary reach of the New Media such as blogs and news portals like Malaysia-Today and Malaysiakini.

Largely, BN parties have just left the starting mark in the race towards cyber information dominance while Pakatan Rakyat parties are already miles ahead. But one party had actually attempted to reach out earlier to Netizens even before anyone had the faintest idea that March 8 would take place. But of course, almost no one knew of MCA’s efforts in the form of mylivingwall.com because it turned out to be a disaster mired in corruption, a sex scandal and sheer incompetence.

The idea of mylivingwall was first hatched in 2007 out of one woman’s frustration with her superior. AL Ho was working in INSAP, MCA’s think tank but everyone knew she could not get along with her boss, another Iron Lady, Song Fui K, formerly from the American Chamber of Commerce. With both having strong characters, their daily arguments got too much and Ms Ho decided it was time to part ways.

But she ain’t gonna just call it a day in MCA without first extracting her pound of flesh from the oh-so-generous MCA president then, Ong Ka Thing. A window of opportunity presented itself when Ka Thing appointed Fu Ah Kiow to head the publicity bureau. That’s when she sold the idea of setting up a portal called mylivingwall.com to the MCA president through Ah Kiow. And Ah Kiow, being Chan Kong Choy’s right-hand man, can just about lead Ka Thing to leap off KLCC if he wanted to. Ka Thing was sold to the idea faster than the dotcom bust of the early 2000s.

But then, Ms Ho also wanted a good deal for her severance-package-cum-platinum-handshake. And she had a secret weapon: the then MCA legal bureau head Dato’ Leong Tang Chong, with whom she shared a relationship that went far beyond work. The bald lawyer with close ties with Ka Thing helped her draft a contract with MCA which made her CEO of The Living Wall Sdn Bhd, with MCA HQ having to grant RM800,000 seed money and a MONTHLY retainer of RM65,000 for three years.

And before one could hear “ta da!”, MCA’s venture to turn over the notoriously anti-establishment Netizens was born, out of one woman’s frustration with work, with the help of a long-time lover, in a business arrangement that reeks of high-handedness.

And the “portal” itself? It’s just a one-woman effort to compile bits of information from all over cyberspace. No one runs around interviewing Ministers or braving the FRU during illegal rallies, much less brave the crowd in ceramahs. And Ong Ka Thing was banking on this woman to turn things around in the face of seething anger from the urban middle-class Chinese. By the time March 8 took place, it was already too late. Living Wall hit a wall, pun intended.

With the Living Wall’s 3-year contract expiring in February 2010, Ms Ho’s fortune does not seem to be all that bright. Neither is the luck of her lover boy Leong Tang Chong, who was removed as MCA legal bureau head shortly after the October 10 EGM for plotting against the president. Baldy and Ms Ho go back a long way and are part of the Bangsar Group, named after their power base, and are known for being English-speaking MCA activists, in a largely Mandarin-speaking party.

But really the person more worried about the MCA not renewing Living Wall’s contract than Ms Ho is Leong Tang Chong. Having given up his legal practice years ago, which he made a fortune from the generosity of Ling Liong Sik and Ong Ka Thing, Bald Tang Chong would have no more income if Living Wall tumbles like the Berlin Wall exactly 20 years ago. Tang Chong has just been redesignated as The Star chairman to an ordinary board member in a move that leaves him one leg at the Star exit (http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/11/6/business/5055017&sec=business).

Of late, Tang Chong, who made no attempt to hide his estranged relations with his wife, was often seen in MCA treasurer-general Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng’s office in Cheras lobbying not to be chopped off as director in Huaren, the party’s investment arm as well as in Wisma MCA Sdn Bhd. Having loaned RM170,000 from his lover for the new Maserati, Tang Chong did not want to be caught deep in debt. Hence, he agressively pushed for the renewal of Ms Ho’s lop-sided contract.

Towards this end, Tang Chong even cut a deal with Liow Tiong Lai. In return for declaring Ong Tee Keat’s EGM illegal, the botak, as he is also known, will be given the post of MCA Federal Territory deputy chairman, a much more glamorous post than the legal bureau head which he has held since Ling Liong Sik’s days. On top of that, the Living Wall will continue to be as erect as he is whenever he is with its CEO.

But as the MCA leadership impasse drags on, the Living Wall, Ong Ka Thing’s baby, is stillborn while Pakatan’s ones are trudging far ahead. (Just do a whois domain search online and one can see that Living Wall is owned by Ms Ho (complete with her mobile number!!) and has its address in Wisma MCA KL). And BN parties like MCA can lead sites like Living Wall to the sledgehammer, just like how the fall of the Berlin Wall brought hope and prosperity. Otherwise, the only thing “living” insofar as the next general election is concerned is false hopes and illusions.

After so many days, it still baffles me on how a woman could have forced 4 of her beautiful children to drink weedkiller and then poisoned herself. I will never ever know what was going through her mind when she did that and that simply defies the theory of a mother being protective of her children. In this case, she’s killing all of ‘em. I don’t really care much about the mother, but the thought of seeing 4 defenseless little children being given a poisoned drink and they themselves not old enough to know about it, that is simply a thought too painful to bear.

Based on the latest report, it seems that the children have recovered and discharged from hospital but them there are still blood being detected in their urine. I sincerely wish and pray that with God’s blessing, the children will survive and continue to fight for their future, now even more tough without the care of their mother. But then again, i’m quite pissed by the brainless action of that mother and although i did mention that i don’t give a damn if she dies or lives, i do wish that the children could have grown up in a nice family with both of their parents around…

freeweelee will pray for the father and his children… God bless always…

Chinese president to visit Malaysia Tuesday The Star, Monday, 9 December 2009 PETALING JAYA: Chine

Chinese president to visit Malaysia Tuesday

The Star, Monday, 9 December 2009

PETALING JAYA: Chinese President Hu Jintao arrives in Malaysia Tuesday, the first visit by a Chinese head of state in 15 years, marking yet another milestone in the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The President, who will be accompanied by his wife Liu Yongqing, a 140-member official entourage and a 80-member press corp, is on his first state visit to the country at the invitation of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

The highlight of his official visit, which is a first by a Chinese head of state in 15 years, will be a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Wednesday to discuss issues relating to bilateral cooperation.

It is understood that among others, discussions would center on the “cementing” of various agreements and issues already raised between Najib and Hu, and with other Chinese leaders during Najib’s visit to China in June, particularly on investments and trade.

Bilateral trade between Malaysia and China had risen to US$39.06bil (RM132.86bil) in 2008, a 10.3% increased from the figure in 2007, and China is now Malaysia’s fourth largest trading partner. (ka-ching $$$$$$$$!!!!!!)

Recent reports had also speculated that the Malaysian government was to announce the issuance of an operating permit for the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd (ICBC) to coincide with the visit, making it the second Chinese bank after Bank of China.

The visit, also comes at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the countries.

Hu – whose last visit to Malaysia was in 2002 when he was vice-president – will be given an official welcome at the Parliament Square, followed by an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the Istana Negara and a state banquet.

He is also expected to attend a lunch hosted by Najib on Wednesday before leaving for Singapore to attend the 17th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit. (I hope Botoxed-Walrus will not be wearing a cheong sam……yukes!!)

Expect some major ass-kissing during the luncheon guys………..

Now, don’t get me wrong……..I’ve nothing against China…..after all, it’s the homeland of my ancestors……….and it’s good that China is keen on further enhancing bilateral ties with us……..good for us and good for them.

But what really gets under my skin is this…..

On one hand, our government and their Main Stream Media are falling all over themselves kissing up to the “great and powerful” Chinese leaders (who by the way are part of the very government that supported CPM)

And on the other hand, continues to punish and refuse Chin Peng his dying wish to come back to his motherland.

One also wonders why, while Chin Peng’s comrades have been pardoned and allowed back on Malaysian soil, Chin Peng continues to be ostracised? Too useful as the “boogie-man” for our political leaders???

BN leaders say Chin Peng and his comrades were responsible for a lot of sufferings and deaths……..ok, Fine……Then what about the Japanese!!!??? Weren’t they responsible for even greater atrocities against the peoples of Malaysia!!!??? The tortures, the beheadings, the rapes?????? So, how come we’re such great pals with them!!?? OK, they apologised….the past is the past….let’s move on!!!???

Hhmmmm…………1Malaysia – 2Standards

I don’t know enough about CPM to defend their actions but what I do know is that they have contributed significantly to the independence and history of this nation……………..you know, there has been some little whisperings out there that says NOT ALL the casualties during the Emergency, which was declared on 1948 and ended in 1960, were caused by the communist fighters…..some were actually victims of overzealous security forces, the very ones engaged to protect the people (http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/22549/84/).

I guess one really wouldn’t know who the enemy is until the dagger punctures the heart……

A write-up by Ronnie Liu, which I suspect could be the very reason for the attack on him by the pro-UMNO bloggers, gives a pretty interesting insight…….

Except from http://myshinshin.blogsome.com/2005/09/03/ronnie-liu-the-real-fighters-for-merdeka/

Young Malaysians should know that PKMM (Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya) leaders like Mokhtaruddin Lasso, Ahmad Boestaman, Dr Burhanuddin al-Helmi, Ishak Haji Mohammad (Pak Sako), Arshad Ashaari, Dahari Ali , Baharuddin Tahir,Khadijah Ali, Ibrahim Karim, Kamarulzaman Teh( Pak Zaman),Abdul Rahman Rahim and many others have played a pivotal role in the struggle of Independence.(Merintis Jalan Ke Punchak ,1972)

PKMM sent a big delegation to the historic UMNO (United Malays National Organisations or Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Bersatu) congress which was held from March 1 to 4, 1946 in Kuala Lumpur.

In the inaugural congress, PKMM proposed to “reject the Malayan Union and demand for a truly independent Malaya” (menolak Malayan Union dan menuntut Malaya Merdeka yang seratus peratus).

Unfortunately, the proposal was rejected by the congress and the PKMM delegation staged a walkout as a protest on the third day of the congress. Its leaders continued to step up its struggle for a truly independent Malaya, unlike the other conservative UMNO leaders who wanted to maintain their status quo.

The British started to clamp down on PKMM and API members in 1948. Many members and leaders were jailed and some of those who escaped from the police went into the jungle to join the arm struggle led by MCP. This has created a political vacuum, which was quickly filled up by UMNO with the consent of the British. Both MCA and MIC were also formed after the establishment of UMNO with the encouragement from the British.

It must be pointed out that without the struggle and sacrifice made by these freedom fighters and the pressure mounted by the Malayan Communist Party led by Chin Peng (as acknowledged by Tan Sri Rahim Noor, IGP on signing the peace accord with MCP), the British would certainly not willing to cooperate and negotiate with the Alliance leaders for an “Independence without bloodshed”.

So, I guess, the little people will always lose out in the end……….

It’s all Business……all about Power and Wealth folks……….nothing personal……….

http://www.malaysia-today.net/index.php

Malaysia Today unveiled a spiffy and breezy new look for its web site on Saturday with a new logo, and resumed service at its original domain name.

It now has a much more commercial feel to it, in contrast to the old site’s homespun philosophy, which readers may miss.

The changes come just a few days before the launching of another news site Free Malaysia Today, a name that dates back to Reformasi days of a decade ago stemming from the sacking of Anwar Ibrahim from government and his many subsequent tribulations.

Not coincidentally, Anwar is embroiled yet again in another trial on a sex crime charge that many are willing to believe is a put-up job designed to thwart his attempts to demolish the Umno-Barisan Nasional grip on power.

The new Free Malaysia Today, I am told, is planned to be a general news site providing Malaysian news and commentary together with world news, lifestyle articles, and sports.

Mohsin Abdullah, former NTV7 news editor and contributor to MySinchew and Malaysian Insider, is the biggest name on its masthead, though the site has several veteran news media personalities in the background.

The site will launch at noon on <s>Nov 11</s>Nov 9 and its backers have intentions of reviving the lost art of investigative journalism and providing a middle path between the traditional media and the existing alternative press.

For the moment, its prototype site contains nothing that will alarm any of the existing Internet newspapers like MalaysiaKini, Malaysian Insider, Malaysian Mirror, or the Nut Graph.

Until it comes out with something spectacular, Free Malaysia Today will have a tough time living up to the pioneering efforts of its short-lived predecessor FreeMalaysia.com, in the turbulent days of Reformasi, which also led to the birth of MalaysiaKini — 10 years old on Nov 28 — Malaysia’s pioneer in independent Internet journalism.

It was the Asian economic crisis of 1997-99, and the sacking and subsequent jailing of Anwar, that led to the boom in Internet usage among Malaysians, the spectacular growth of Internet news and commentary web sites and discussion groups, and the dramatic erosion of the credibility of the “mainstream” BN-owned press.

Raja Petra Kamarudin began the Free Anwar Campaign and shortly after in 1999 the FreeMalaysia web site was launched promising to provide “the sort of free speech which is next to impossible to find ANYWHERE in the traditional print and broadcast media”. Soon it unleashed a series of hard-hitting exposés on Malaysian government corruption and of the cronyism prevailing in the Mahathir administration, particularly the Mahathir-Daim Zainuddin nexus, explored in a series labelled the “Rogue’s Gallery”.

The mushrooming of pro-Reformasi web sites in all languages raised the hackles of the Malaysian government. FreeMalaysia.com was soon declared a “threat to national security” and Umno also announced it had identified 48 web sites containing “slanderous and defamatory” material which would be investigated.

No further action was taken, but MalaysiaKini was the subject of continual harrassment, a pattern which has remained unchanged. So, too, with Raja Petra, who launched Malaysia Today in 2004 on Anwar’s release, and who has since run exposés on “The Khairy Chronicles”, murdered Mongolian translator Altantuya Shaaribuu, police involvement in triad activity, and leaked Cabinet memorandums on the Port Klang Free Zone debacle.

He has been detained under the Internal Security Act, from which he was freed in a rare judicial decision upholding habeas corpus, and charged with sedition, and criminal defamation for revelations on Najib Tun Razak and his wife Rosmah Majid’s alleged involvement in the Altantuya murder. He has refused to face trial and remains a fugitive, in self-declared exile.

Raja Petra announced earlier this year, in the midst of his travails, that he was handing over control of Malaysia Today to his associates. The site, hosted on servers in Singapore, has been using its alternative mirror domain mt.m2day.org after its original domain of malaysia-today.net came under severe attack. The latest attack on its servers was in September when Malaysia Today released the leaked Cabinet memorandum.

I’m quite a frequent user of highway so recently i purchased a Smart Tag as i can see that now

I’m quite a frequent user of highway so recently i purchased a Smart Tag as i can see that nowadays the queue for the normal Touch N Go lane is getting longer and longer. That Smart Tag alone cost me RM130 but it comes with a preloaded RM10 Touch N Go card.

Well, my initial impression was, Smart Tag rocks bay beh! It is really convenient when you don’t have to roll down your car mirror and you can simply drive thru the Smart Tag lane without any hassle. Usually you don’t get stuck in queue in Smart Tag lane. All in all, it’s money well spent indeed!

But here comes the problem. About 2 months after my purchase, the unit just broke down. And one of my colleague told me that he had similar problem as well. And upon further check, i just realized that the Smart Tag was not even approved by Sirim. Ah hah, now that tells you something about the quality or reliability of that product huh! So off I go to the service centre. Was told that it will takes about 5 weeks for repair and i need to pay RM7 in postal order as part of the shipping cost for them to ship the item back to us. Hehe, your product screw up but then we customer have to bear the shipping cost? Not bad.

It has been about 4 weeks now since i sent my defective unit for repair. Called them yesterday and was told it’s still under repair. It’s just a small and simple unit, so i was wondering what took them so long…

Ahhh… i guess this is another daylight robbery case happening in Malaysia?
