<title><![CDATA[Zwischen Eiszeitkunst und Weihnachtsmarkt]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p id="aug"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-3291" title="IMG_2546" src="http://commonsblog.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/img_2546.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="225" />Auf der Suche nach erzählbaren Beispielen für die Commons habe ich mich heute gemeinsam mit meinem Sohn in die Stuttgarter Innenstadt begeben. Wir besuchten dort zunächst die Venus vom Hohlen Fels, einer vom Tübinger Archäologen Nicholas J. Conard am Hohlen Fels auf der Schwäbischen Alb entdeckten Schnitzerei aus Mammutelfenbein, die mit fast 40.000 Jahren als älteste Frauendarstellung der Menschheitsgeschichte gilt. Conard hat die Entdeckung in der britischen Wissenschaftszeitschrift Nature veröffentlicht, den man <a href="http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v459/n7244/pdf/nature07995.pdf">hier</a> für 32 Dollar als pdf-File beziehen kann. Wir lösten zwei Ticket für 10 und 8 Euro und suchten die wenige Zentimeter große Figur, um die eigentlich ein ähnlicher Hype entstehen müsste, wie um die <a href="http://www.louvre.fr/llv/activite/detail_parcours.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198674098115&#38;CURRENT_LLV_PARCOURS%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198674098115&#38;bmLocale=en" target="_blank">Mona Lisa im Louvre </a>(der Eintrittpreis in den Louvre ist mit 9 Euro übrigens 10 % billiger als der ins Stuttgarter Kunstgebäude), und finden sie unauffällig in einem kleinen Glaskästchen &#8230; einsam und relativ unbeachtet. Es gibt noch ein paar andere Sensationen in der Ausstellung, wie das älteste Musikinstrument der Welt, einer kleinen <a href="http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v460/n7256/pdf/nature08169.pdf" target="_blank">Knochenflöte</a> (auch für 32 Dollar zu haben), einem unfassbar schönen <a href="http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v426/n6968/pdf/nature02186.pdf" target="_blank">Pferd</a> (wie gehabt, Nature: 32 Dollar), einem Vogel, einem Löwen und vieles mehr. <!--more-->Viele der Exponate waren schon zu Ötzis Zeiten 30.000 Jahre alt. Ich würde gerne ein Bild von den Figuren hier zeigen, aber in der Ausstellung ist Fotografierverbot (warum eigentlich, denn ein Blitzverbot wäre völlig ausreichend), die Postkarten haben ein Copyright und der Ausstellungskatalog (knapp 25 Euro) auch (als ob die Venus vom Hohlen Fels kein Kulturerbe der Menschheit, sondern ein urheberrechtlich geschütztes Produkt wäre). Schade, denn im Prinzip hätte ich sehr gerne noch etwas effizienter Werbung für diese bis zum 10. Januar 2010 andauernden <a href="http://www.eiszeit-2009.de/" target="_blank">Ausstellung</a> im Stuttgarter Kunstgebäude gemacht. Naja &#8211; für nur wenige Hundert Euro kann man sich ja durch Lektüre einschlägiger Literatur ein Bild vorab machen (werde ich zu zynisch?).</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-3285" title="IMG_2550" src="http://commonsblog.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/img_2550.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="225" />Naja, so ein richtiges Gemeingut zwischen mir und meinem Sohn war die Kunst der Eiszeit ohnehin noch nicht. Wir haben uns stattdessen auf eine gemeinsame Currywurst auf dem Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt gleich nebenan geeinigt. Von Gemeingütern auch hier keine Spur? Der Verdacht drängt sich auf, denn ohne Moos ist hier nichts los. Die Currywurst kostet 3.50 Euro pro Stück und wird im praktischen Pappmülleimer serviert &#8211; Gesamtarbeitszeit der Abfertigung pro Wurst maximal 7 Sekunden und da die Leute Schlange stehen vermute ich bei 40 Cent Material und 10 Cents Nebenkosten pro Wurst mit einer Nettoabfertigung von 500 Würsten pro Stunde einen Rohertrag von circa 3.000 Euro pro Stunde &#8211; aber lassen wir das. Jedenfalls steht fest, dass man auf diesem Weihnachtsmarkt ohne einen dicken Geldbeutel im Grunde nichts tun kann als aufzupassen, dass man nicht in einen Senfhaufen oder einen stehengebliebenen Glühweinnapf tritt. Ich bin mir trotzdem nicht ganz sicher: Wenn man den Käufer in weihnachtlicher Kaufstimmung als begrenzte Ressource begreift, den es langfristig und wiederkehrend zu erhalten und zu bewirtschaften gilt &#8230; und die Standpächter als Commoners &#8230; ??? &#8230; ach was &#8230; lassen wir auch dies!</p>

<p>Erstmal dachte ich dass das Board etwas unruhig wird, aber nix davon zu spüren. Auch switch kein Problem.</p>
<p>Ich bin die letzten Jahre mit dem 2007 Malolo gefahren und das neue Malolo mit dem ICS System fährt eindeutig besser.</p>

Szerintem nagyon jól megcsináltuk a blogját és a hülye fejével ugyan az a téma kelett neki,de viszont jól néz ki neki is. Amíg ügyködtünk náluk közben toltam egy ki GTA 4et. Dél után fele átjöttünk hozzánk és Wiiiztünk . Mikor végre befejezte &#8220;-.-,akkor utána hála elindultunk a moziba(de előbb<a href="http://sophiespersonallife.tumblr.com/"> Sophie</a> elé). A Mammut hídon találkoztunk sok ismerőssel és sajnos olyan arcokkal is akiktől undorodok&#8230;Az egyik ilyen személy majdnem hogy mellettem ült moziba,szerencsére Domán még köztünk volt,ezért nem volt gondom. Annyira nekem nem jött be a film,de ezt lehet azért mondom,mert mással voltam elfoglalva&#8230; <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':-P' class='wp-smiley' />  <a href="http://sophiespersonallife.tumblr.com/">(Sophie</a>t és engem lekötött más,ezt persze csak Domán vette észre,meg az a cigány srác,aki mellette ült)<br />

<p>During the summer, I found a bargain softshell jacket that I liked ever since it was out. It was a Mammut Core jacket. I got it with a big reduction from a German online dealer (Original Price 599 CHF). Everything was great about the jacket, except from the pocket zippers (probably from long stock ing time as this is a 2005 model). The zippers were sticky and the reinforcements around them created a problem in the operation. So this is how I resolved the problem.</p>
<p>Last time I re-proofed an old hardshell jacket, I noticed that the silicon did wonders to the zippers as well. So the strategy was obvious. Got a bit of Nikwax TX.DIRECT Spray-on and applied it to the zippers with the help of a cotton bud. Now the zippers work as new.</p>
<p><strong>Mammut</strong><strong> Core Jacket</strong></p>
<p>This is by far may favorite winter soft shell jacket.  Breaths nicely (I am on the sweaty side and this jacket works well), it is waetherproof (snow, rain, wind), stretchy and goes all the way down passing the hips.  The fabric comes from my favorite fabric manufacturer which is a Swiss company called Shoeller.  I have no complaint using their fabrics as they breath very well, are very strong &#8211; resisting abrasion and have a fantastic feel to the skin. I think that Shoeller fabrics beat GORE-Tex fabrics easily. The specs of the jacket below (from Draussen.de website):</p>

L&#8217;obiettivo del centro territoriale «Mammut» è di riqualificare e migliorare uno spazio pubblico.<br />
Di fondamentale importanza sarà il coinvolgimento delle scuole che attraverso la cooperazione e la condivisione delle esperienze approfondiranno un metodo di educazione che permette di migliorare il proprio senso civico e il rispetto per il proprio territorio.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p style="text-align:left;">Having to complete my MSc Marketing dissertation combined with striving for perfection has unfortunately meant I have had no time left for blogging during the past few months. However, my hard work has paid off and I am very pleased with my achievements, the result and all the valuable knowledge I have gained. In my dissertation research I came across a variety of viral marketing cases and I would like to discuss some of them further here and in my next posts.</p>
<h3 style="text-align:left;"><strong>Mary Woodbridge &#8211; Mammut Sports Group AG<br />
</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align:left;">The Swiss brand for technical outwear <a title="Mammut" href="http://www.mammut.ch/" target="_blank">Mammut</a> has had some impressive global headlines back in 2005/2006 with their campaign called <em>&#8220;Mary Woodbridge&#8221;</em>. The campaign was made by the Swiss marketing agency <a title="Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett" href="http://www.sflb.ch/" target="_blank">Spillmann / Felser / Leo Burnett</a> who came up with the story of Mary Woodbridge in December 2005. The campaign featured an 85-year old lady from Greenfield, UK, who planned an expedition to mount <a title="Mount Everest" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Everest" target="_blank">Mount Everest</a> with her <a title="Dachshund" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dachshund" target="_blank">dachshund</a> after having bought a <a title="Mammut" href="http://www.mammut.ch/" target="_blank">Mammut</a> winter jacket of such superior quality that unexpectedly, the elderly lady felt empowered to master any challenge. They created an interactive webpage showing her expedition training, introducing her dog and expedition partner &#8220;Daisy&#8221;, training sessions, a guestbook and movies (see <a title="Mary Woodbridge web page" href="http://www.mary-woodbridge.co.uk/frameset_mw.html" target="_blank">here</a>). As well as her age Mary&#8217;s story hits controversy as she planed to use a direct route from the base camp to the top, rather than using the suggested route offering four additional intermediate camps to rest. In addition, she wanted to dispense with the use of <a title="Sherpas" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherpas" target="_blank">Sherpas</a> as well as the use of an oxygen mask, as there are no such masks for her dog Daisy.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Having created a very insightful webpage, which seems to show that Mary Woodbridge had thought through everything and was more or less ready to go the only missing point seemed to be funding. In order to cover the financial side of her plans, &#8220;she&#8221; contacted major mountain equipment companies, international media, climbing magazines to request sponsorship for her and Daisy&#8217;s trip. A number of ads are placed in mountaineering magazines and internet forums were consulted for useful tips and advice. A great way to create <a title="Marketing Buzz" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_buzz" target="_blank">buzz</a> within the climbing and mountaineering scene and the social networking space. Quickly climbers, alpinists and bloggers discovered Mary, her story and webpage and soon after she hit the headlines. Once the story took off, media coverage and online discussions on forums, discussion boards and social networking sites were mounting. Globally, 250 newspapers, magazines and TV broadcasts reported about Mary, wishing her the best of luck for her undertaking. For some examples please see the list below:</p>

<p>Once the buzz reached it&#8217;s peak the story was revealed  by Mammut stepping out of the dark with the slogan:</p>

<p>Initially, clips like the one above were shown without Mammut&#8217;s branding at the end. Bringing Mary Woodbridge to life was the start of Mammut&#8217;s new marketing communications strategy that intended to promote their core value of mountaineering safety of best Swiss quality. Their intention was to remind sportsmen that the ever improving Mammut gear offering increased  safety, does not justify unnecessary risk-taking. Follow up advertisements of Mammut built on the Mary Woodbridge story and the above introduced slogan, please see below.</p>

<p>Moreover, point of sale and magazine advertisements were supporting the Woodbridge campain, which helpet to increase the buzz as well as to promote the campaign&#8217;s message (if you want to download Mammut&#8217;s promotional brochure with Mary&#8217;s story please click <a title="Mammut Image Flyer" href="http://www.mary-woodbridge.co.uk/Flyer_Mammut/Imageflyer_ENG.pdf" target="_blank">here</a>). Another case, showing that the combination of online and offline marketing efforts has a positive outcome on a campaign&#8217;s objectives.</p>
<p>The publicity campaign was a huge success in terms of awareness creation and international brand disclosure and was also awarded with numerous awards such as  the Swiss advertising film award (EDI Award), the Swiss Marketing Trophy, the Crossmedia Award, the Epica Award, the ADC in Switzerland, ADC bronze in Germany and silver at the New York Festival.</p>
<h3><strong>Leaves &#8211; Zimtstern GmbH<br />
</strong></h3>
<p>Staying within the area of Swiss technical outwear, I came across a clip by <a title="Zimtstern" href="http://www.zimtstern.ch/" target="_blank">Zimtstern</a>, a Swiss snowboard and street clothing brand. The clip was directed by <a title="Marco Lutz" href="http://www.marcolutz.com/?s=about" target="_blank">Marco Lutz</a>,  a Swiss film director, who has been responsible for a variety of memorable cult snowboard movies, which have been a worldwide success and produced by Stefan Bircher. Matching to this winter&#8217;s collection by Zimtstern, which is following the theme of &#8220;wildlife&#8221; the idea around &#8220;leaves&#8221; came to life. Hence, the viewer is surprised with classy snowboarding on a nice sunny day in fall, on leaves and as fas as the eye can see &#8211; no sign of snow!</p>

<p>From a viral marketing perspective, a viral video requires certain key characteristics in order to appeal to a wide audience. In my research about &#8220;The Strategic Use of Viral Marketing amongst Social Networks&#8221; I identified the following key content criteria: entertaining, compelling, creative, relevant to target audience, adding value to viewer, share worthy, engaging, simple, interesting, honest, shocking/surprising, short, unique and new. Watching the leaves spot I am very keen to say: this spot, if seeded successfully, has got all the potential to become a huge viral success within the snow sports industry and reward Zimtstern in terms of an increased brand awareness. It has only been two months and the clip has already received considerable coverage from bloggers, forums, magazines, social networking sites and is placed on several video sharing sites. Additionally, the clip is free to download on <a title="www.zimtstern.com" href="http://www.zimtstern.com" target="_blank">www.zimtstern.com</a>, which supports the ease of viral spread.</p>

Das heisst, das Seil muss einmal zurückgefädelt sein und gegenläufig durch die beiden kleinen Löcher der Bremse laufen. Diese Klettersteigsets können weiterhin bedenkenlos eingesetzt werden.</p>

<p>Ein retourniertes Klettersteigset wird selbstverständlich kostenlos ersetzt.</p>

Deshalb wird davon ausgegangen, dass kein weiteres fehlerhaft konfektioniertes Set am Markt mehr ist. The man is named Christian Flühr and he did during the last century 12 amazing records on skis. His history is for a man, which roots are definitely have nothing to do with skiing, very unusual. The 1st real success he had in 1999 at the Austrian village Obertauern. He skied there 68:23 h continuously nonstop. This record is already at this moment in Christian’s hand, but the actual record is about 264 hours. This record he did in January 2008 at Tyrolean ski-resort Obergurgl.</strong></p>
<p>What Christian Flühr did in 1999 is still actually in his life. “Of course the record at Obertauern was something like a priming to search for a border on skis, but until today I never found this. I can remember exactly everything of both records at Obertauern 1999 and 2001!” he says. Beside the 1st record the 2nd attempt also took place at Obertauern. 2001 he was the 1st human being which crossed the border of 100 hours on skis. At the end this record was fixed on level of 103:21 h.</p>
<p>In the next years he set 2 times in the “SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser” (Tyrol) this world record on a new level (130:06 h in 2002 and 168 h in 2003), at the German ski-resort Oberaudorf with 200:08 h in December 2004 and 222:22 in 2005. The he changed to Zell am See, where he skied 242:42 nonstop in 2007. The most impressing challenge he made one year later at Tyrolean Obergurgl. There he reached the actual world record with 264 h, that means 11 days and nights complete on skis. Beside this records he also owns the endurance record indoor with 111:11 h, the greatest altitude done in 24 h with lifts and the most different ski-lifts used in 24 hours.</p>
<p>Especially the endurance records are unbelievable. Christian faced during his challenge the full range of winter weather: Very low temperatures up to -24°C, storms and heavy snowfall, in Obergurgl he fought with 1,50 m fresh snow during his attempt. Some other guys from all over the world tried in the last years to get Christian’s records but they all do not succeed, Christian explains why: “This attempts no one can do without a long training before. I started already in August the preparation for the winter and because of this skiing is my job and that makes the difference to the guys who tried to achieve these records!”</p>
<p>One thing which is very important on, is the fact that I did all this record without any doping. “There is nothing like this. I hate doping and the usage of such stuffs makes every output at sports senseless.” Christian means.</p>
<p>This winter, ten years after his 1st successful attempt, will be the last winter in Christian’s long career on skis. He decides to retire after this season: “Yes, I have so many experiences in my mind I will never forget, but sometimes is time to say good-bye. I will be in 2010 37 years old, good aged to start to think about another job and may be family. This will be after the winter a new challenge which will be in no way less interesting than professional skiing. And for sure how often I can, I will be on snow, also after my sport retiring.”</p>
<p>The time for the final curtain is not planned exactly until now by the world record holder. He just thinks at the moment on the upcoming winter season: “If I say good-bye in April or May, won’t be important. Before, I hope to set some new records. Especially the aim will be to raise the endurance record to 299 hours plus X. And may be there is a chance to do this in conjunction with the Olympic winter games at Vancouver. I am ready to face this ultimate challenge! I just wait on a final Yes of the responsible persons and then it will happen.” Christian has a big smile in his face, when he talks about this topic. Sehr verwunderlich, denn sie hing in 9m Höhe mittig unter eine Brücke. Irgendwie haben Matthias und ich es nicht schafft gemeinsam die Dose zu ersetzen. Entweder hatten wir keine Zeit oder haben es auch schlicht vergessen. Aber spätestens wenn <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=9bcfd7c1-78fb-43dc-8157-3834005528da">große Dinge</a> ihren Schatten werfen, muss man endlich mal aus den Schuhen kommen.</p>

<p>Heute haben Matthias und ich den neuen &#8220;Cache-Mug&#8221; untrennbar mit Objekt 10/0 verbunden. Matthias ist geklettert und ich habe krankheitsbedingt assistiert und photografiert. Die neue &#8220;Dose&#8221; dürfte nicht mehr wegkommen. Und für alle Mammuts gibt es auch noch einen Bonus (schaut mal auf Seite 2 im Logbuch). Quasi Objekt 10/0 B. Mit einer &#8220;kleinen&#8221; Extraeinlage seid Ihr dann dabei. </p>
