Manuel Uribe camino al altar

Voy a hacer un post para disculparme por no postear, lo que me acerca un paso a ser la fuente inagotable de mal gusto que sucederá a Le Toñe, cuando parta su barca a otras aguas tranquilas y en su estela mueva las hojas de les borbotonx.

Güeno, dejénme decirles que ha sido tal la carga de trabajo, que ni siquera he podido jugar con la compu, el juego que me tenía absorbido que es wolfenstein.

Y de hecho la semana pasada tuve que faltar a mis clases de gordobics, y dejar de ver padre de familia y american dad, en el canal FX.

Tampoco he escuchado radio naufragou, por lo mesmo, pero para compensar hago listas con canciones que no conozco o no me gustan de respaldos de clientes, y las pongo para sentirme como si lo escuchara.

Ahorita el popópodcast se está tardando porque ni Josías ni Laurita mamacita me contestan el phone, y pues la verdad es que si quiero que salgan en la hora del sotorpe, y conocer esas voces.

Lo bueno es que aparentemente ya esta semana se va a calmar el jale, la mala es que muy probablemente me ocupe en jugar lo que no he jugado, y ponerme al corriente en mi dieta diaria de porno, y aprovechar que todavía no me van a cobrar impuestos por consumirlo.

Pero si veo que estas finísimas personas no me contestan ya los dejaré de tarea para la tercer hora del sotorpe.

Lo bueno es que gracias a esa inesperada ola de jale, cha pude comprarme mi uniforme de kung fu decente y como Dios manda, ya nada de usar pants de educación física de mis tiempos de prepa ni playeras del Partido Verde, voy a poder regalarme unos juegos para el wii, y voy a poder armar otra pc, porque ahi vienen Bioshock 2, Gears of war 2, Call of duty: Modern warfare 2.

Aunque no he conseguido un disco duro maxtor grande, hay puro seagate, si no consigo uno maxtor de más de 750 gbytes, me quedaré con el chiquito que tengo de 250 gbytes.

Here’s a glint of shining hope for you. After six years of being confined to his bed, the world’s fattest man, Manuel Uribe, is scheduled to take a drive.
Uribe earned the Guinness World Record as the world’s heaviest man in 2006, weighing in at a whopping 560kg. 560 kg, by the way=1,234.58867 lbs. He is having a 1989 Chevy Astrovan designed specifically to support his weight, putting a bed in the back and sitting on it while his wife drives him around town. I assume this is the same wife who walks the food to his bedside instead of supergluing his mouth shut. He plans to remodel his garage with a forklift to raise his regular bed to the level of his car bed- so he can change locations at his leisure. Just goes to show you folks, nothing, not even a Kafka-esque metamorphasis into a Humpback Whale, should keep you from your dreams. God Speed Mr. Uribe.

Manuel Uribe, 43, of Monterrey, Mexico was awarded the title “The Heaviest Man in the World” in Jan. 2006 by Guinness World Records. At that time he weighed 1,235 lbs. He has since lost over 500 lbs and now weighs about 700 lbs thanks to the Zone diet. He had been bed-ridden since 2001 and has one goal in mind – to be able to walk again.

Manuel Uribe is beyond the kind of overweight that comes from fast food and lack of exercise. Doctors call it morbid obesity. According to the National Institutes of Health, obesity means weighing 20 percent or more than your ideal body weight, and it’s a health risk. Morbid obesity is altogether different. Sometimes called “clinically severe obesity,” it means you’re 100 pounds or more over ideal body weight, with a body mass index of 40 or higher.

Uribe doesn’t gain weight like the rest of us. Brain chemistry, genetic mutation, addiction, psychological pain — or an unhappy combination of all of them — makes morbid obesity one of the biggest mysteries of medicine.

An operation in 2001 – to remove 180 lbs of growth tissue from his thighs and pelvic areas – proved unsuccessful and Manuel feared that he would not be able to walk again. In addition to his weight problems, his wife of 14 years left him. He continued to over-eat and became depressed and at one point contemplated suicide.

Things began to change after he was noticed by a local journalist, Jose Luis Garcia, who interviewed him and told his story to the world. In the interview Manuel asked for someone to help him lose weight. Doctors and dietitians visited him. After much consultation Manuel decided to go on a diet, the Zone diet, rather than undergo more surgery which came with significant risks to his health.

Manuel not only started losing weight on his new diet but he also found love again. He met Claudia Solis and they both decided to get married. The following video chronicles Manuel’s transformation from depression to romance.

Manuel Gets Married

Even though Manuel is still not able to walk, he has plans to be mobile. He is now having a 1989 Chevrolet Astrovan outfitted specially for him. The minivan is being converted into an open-air, flatbed pickup. Manuel says he will put a bed on the back of the van to drive around town, with his new wife at the wheel.

With his new found lease on life, Manuel now wants to open an auto parts store. He is also making plans to visit the beach soon with his wife. He plans to continue with his diet and exercise and maybe someday he will be able to walk again. Below is a clip with Dr. Barry Sears, the creator of the Zone diet.

Manuel Uribe, once the heaviest man on the planet, will soon be zooming around in his new modified Chevrolet Astrovan (I hope the suspension is good!).The newly wed, who has already lost a staggering 226kg from his original Guinness Book of Records weight of 560kg, will finally get the freedom he has yearned for.The van has been converted to an open air pick up (with bed) which will allow his wife to cart him  around town because he is still unable to walk. Uribe already has plans to have a forklift placed in the garage so he can raise his regular bed to the height of the car bed and then roll to and from his mattresses with ease. Hmm, doesn’t sound like Uribe has plans of losing more weight anytime soon, does it?  He’s got the girl, he’s got the car, way to go Manuel!

Il nostro buon Manuel è messicano e ha vissuto negli Stati Uniti. Grazie ad una dieta squilibratissima ha potuto raggiungere questi mirabili risultati. Manuel è un obeso puro, sembra che non abbia problemi ormonali o di altro tipo: è un mangione. In Messico, molti vivono nella sua condizione, anche se in situazioni meno estreme. Lì, infatti, il 20% della popolazione è obesa. Un po’ meno che negli Stati Uniti, dove la percentuale è del 30%.
Normalmente le persone obese sono quelle col reddito più basso. Sono maggiormente obesi nella fascia di popolazione che non si può permettere cibo di qualità, iscrizione alle palestre, che subiscono stress che li spinge a mangiare, stress magari casato dai mutui che faticano a pagare.
Ma andando oltre, scavando nel significato profondo di questi disagi, cosa arriviamo a scoprire? Cosa significa l’aumento dell’incidenza di disturbi alimentari? Che relazione c’è con l’attuale modello di consumo? Ma ancora: la cucina non dovrebbe esse il luogo più caldo della casa? Quello dove si impara la frugalità? Quello deputato alla convivialità?

Den 43-årige mexikanen Manuel Uribe har inträtt i det äkta ståndet! Han har gift sig med 38-åriga änkan och hårfrisörskan Claudia Solis. Det är hon som motiverat honom till den enorma nedbantning han gjort sedan världsrekordet sattes.

Manuel Uribe från Monterrey i norra Mexico innehar rekordet från 2007 som världens hittills tyngste man. Han vägde då 560 kilo. Men han är också den som lyckats banta ned sig mest under kortast tid. Huruvida Guinness har bekräftat detta nya rekord, (vilket de skulle göra i somras) eller inte, har jag dessvärre inte helt klart för mig i skrivande stund.
Att han däremot har gått och gift sig, tyck dock vara helt säkert. Det lär ha skett redan 27 oktober förra året och fast han är det s t o r a dragplåstret här på min blogg (3 657 läsare har inlägget kommit upp i hittills), så hade jag alltså den dåliga smaken att missa denna lyckliga tilldragelse. Skäms på mig!
Men det brukar ju vara “bättre sent än aldrig” som är ledstjärnan i mitt liv, så för alla er som i likhet med mig missat bröllopet, bloggar jag nu lite om det.

Tyvärr lyckades dock inte Manuel med sitt mål att banta ned sig i tid till bröllopet så att han kunde ta sig till altaret för egen maskin.
Istället transporterades han dit i sin säng, varför vigseln skedde i anslutning till den. Hoppas att prällen hade bra bedside manners!

It is finally here.  The world has been waiting for the 2008 TFPH Man of the Year which may be the most prestigious honor that we bestow on an individual.  My vote is tallied and here are the nominees.

1. Charles Barkley-  The Chuckster ended the year strong.   Not only does he give us a reason to stay up and watch Clipper games but he is also giving back to society.  Despite the poor economy he was still willing to hire a young lady at 3 in the morning.  How many new jobs did you create in 2009?  That is what I thought.
2. Barack Obama – Obama was named Time Magazine Person of the Year and becomes the first black President since William Mckinley.  He also inspired a Young Jeezy song that I cannot get out of my head.
3. World’s Fattest Man – Manuel Uribe dropped 700lbs and got married.  He also introduced us to the term sex ramp which conjures up images of Evil Knievel and the porn industry.  The only drawback is the profit margin from  Taco Bell declined 70% in direct correlation with his weight loss.
4. Artie Lange – 2008 was a tremendous roller coaster ride for Artie Lange.  He is the only reason to listen to the Stern show and became a best selling author with Too Fat to Fish.  The only thing slowing him down are cupcakes and heroin.

And the 2008 TFPH Man of the Year goes to….

Artie Lange.  Nobody is more entertaining on the late night talk shows than that baby gorilla.  He is a fifth of Jack Daniels away from sweeping the Trainwreck of the Year category (Click Here) but he managed to hold things together.  Let’s be thankful that they have not developed a cheese flavored heroin.  Here is Artie on Jimmy Kimmel.

Jag har en plan som ska göra mig rik, ja oss får jag väl säga för sambon ska deltaga i min plan också. Bantning är ju ett evigt dilemma för många och vissa har ju bantat i hela sitt liv, försökt alla möjliga varianter men det har liksom inte gått nå bra ändå. Det är viktväktarna som kostar en massa pengar och det är filbantning där man håller på att svälta ihjäl, Yin och Yan som är ganska ok men ganska enformigt, banandieter och gudarna vet allt.

Jag som förvisso aldrig bantat eftersom jag är byggd som en tångräka ungefär, tror i alla fall att för att man ska lyckas så ska man inte känna att man behöver dra in på allt gott, man ska inte behöva känna att man saknar en massa, eller att det är krångligt, för då håller det nog inte i längden. Men nu till saken. Sambon var ju rejält överviktig och bestämde sig att han skulle gå ner i vikt. Och tjurig är han ju. Så från den dagen han började så har han skrivit ner exakt allt han ätit, och exakt vartenda motionspass han gjort, vad och hur länge. I dag 5 månader efter han började har han gått ner 40 kilo !!

Han har ätit gott utan allt för mycket krångel med maten, ibland har han vräkt i sig en chipspåse och en dricka eller en godispåse. Vissa dagar har han inte motionerat/tränat alls. Alltså har det inte varit en jätteomställning på så sätt. Så nu tänkte jag att om man skriver en bok med dag för dagschema så måste det fan bli en storsäljare? En annan som har gått ner i vikt är världens fetaste man, Manuel Uribe, som jag också skrivit om tidigare, han har gått ner 240 kilo och tänker nu utbilda sig till dietist.

Baru aja baca artikel dari majalah Esquire Indonesia tentang pria tergemuk di dunia. Namanya Manuel Uribe. Usianya sekitar 40 tahunan. Beratnya adalah 560 kilogram. Just imagine that. No, i write this not for mocking the other. Really. But recently, Manuel booked the awesome weight loss. Kabarnya sih sekarang Manuel “cuma” berberat 360 – an something setelah dia kehilangan 200 kilo lebih berat badannya. Dan itu juga sebuah rekor baru ketika seseorang kehilangan banyak berat badannya.

Manuel sudah menikah dengan Claudia Solis. Pesta pernikahannya sih sederhana (kabarnya) tapi tentu saja ada yang “luar biasa”, karena katanya dibutuhkan beberapa alat berat yang bisa membuat Manuel melaksanakan prosesi pernikahan itu.

Aku pernah ngelihat manuel di salah satu tayangan televisi, plus di sebuah berita luar negeri. Waktu itu, kalo nggak salah adalah tayangan tentang Manuel yang dipindahkan dari dalam rumahnya untuk bisa menikmati udara segar di luar rumahnya buat sehari saja. Dan digunakan forklift, yang biasa dipake buat ngangkat barang2 berat di pabrik2. You can imagine how HARD his life, do you?

Manuel sendiri sih sadar kalo hal tersebut tidak sehat. Tapi memang gaya hidup dimasa lalunya menjadi salah satu penyebab kenapa tubuhnya bisa bengkak. Tapi ternyata, nggak hanya itu saja. We cannot blame him for this kinda situation, karena peneliti menemukan fakta baru kalau faktor gen juga menjadi penyebab tubuh Manuel yang bengkak.

Sama halnya dengan gen yang ada pada orang2 kurus, dimana mau makan sebanyak apapun, orang itu nggak bakal jadi gemuk yang terlalu gemuk, paling juga perutnya doang yang buncit. Dan kalo nggak salah2, baru2 ini para ilmuwan menemukan adanya sebuah gen yang menyebabkan orang nggak bisa menjadi gemuk alias bisa tetep kurus. Hiks…enaknya!

Tapi memang, masih menjadi kontroversi apakah faktor genetik ini menjadi pemicu asal yang nggak bisa diuatak-atik, karena aku sendiri memang ngerasa punya keturunan gemuk. Dari keluarga ayah dan ibuku, semuanya punya kans untuk menjadi gemuk. Whoaaa!! mode kawatir : on!

Bukan apa2, soalnya gini, kalo pas lagi banyak makan karbohidrat tinggi, gula dan gorengan2, yang namanya badan langsung bereaksi. Menggembung! dan konon kabarnya, sedang terjadi sebuah penggembungan sel dalam tubuh akibat asupan karbohidrat. Nggak tahu deh kenapa bisa begitu. Yang pasti akhir2 ini aku emang ngerasa kalo tubuhku sedang melar2nya. Perutnya buncit lagi. Paha membesar dan ini sangat mengkhawatirkan. Soalnya dulu pernah yang punya berat badan sampai 80 kilo! at least 75 lebih lah waktu itu. Asli ngeri banget!

Kebiasaan yang sangat tipikal dari orang2 gemuk dan punya bakat gemuk seperti diriku ini. Makan, tidur, males bergerak, nggak pernah mikir, dan lain2 sebagainya. Intinya males! nonton tv sambil ngemil. Jam 12 malem makan berat. Jadi inget dulu, abis siaran jam 12 malem, masih makan capcay sepiring gede dan itu berlangsung lama. Pantesan aja ya, bengkak? Dan emang nggak enak jadi orang gemuk. Selain berpotensi kena penyakit degeneratif, yang namanya tubuh juga bakalan berat banget, kita jadi nggak bebas buat kemana-mana. Kaki rasanya pegel, lutut sering sakit. Apalagi emang dari kecil punya masalah dengan lutut. Huehehehe.

Nah, emang bener kata Esquire dalam tagline nya diartikel yang membahas tentang Manuel Uribe, setelah membaca ini (artikel tersebut – gue) anda pasti akan memikirkan kembali tentang arti kesehatan” yakh…kurang lebih begitulah tulisannya. Nggak inget detilnya soalnya.

Tapiiiiii….gimana dunk? aku lagi ketagihan makan MR. BURGEEEERRRRR ama TAHU BAKSOOOOOOO!!!!!

Well, according to the Daily Star it Manuel Uribe’s friends really wanted him to “bust a move “on his wedding night, so they made him a special sex ramp inspired by Liberator. The three-foot ramp is reinforced with concrete . Manuel just has to lay his lower half on the ramp, so that Mrs Claudia Uribe has easy access to ride his “little manny” until she gets hers or until his heart calls “time out.”
Manuel confirmed the joyous news to the Daily Star, “We have finally had sex and we are a true couple in the eyes of God. We feel like we are in heaven here on Earth.”

All we have to say is, “Nice Boobs Manny”…
