Nick Cannon has shared some stills from the other video his wife shot for the remix to “Angels Cry” featuring her labelmate Ne-Yo. The remix, along with ones from Nicki Minaj, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, and T-Pain, can be found on the Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album, available February 23.

“This video is going to be simplistically genius!” Nick wrote about the concept. “No bells and whistles, just documenting history and brilliance. Two of the worlds greatest song writers in the studio crafting a masterpiece. I hope the world is ready to hear ‘Angels Cry.’”

There were two Upper Six classes in 1976. One is for Maths and the other for Biology/Chemistry. Rather than naming USS1 and USS2 (because we were equally intelligent!), the classes were called based on our form teacher who were Mr. Chin and Mr. Hong. Thus one is called USSC and the other USSH.

I was in the later. The photo above is a different one from the one appeared in our “Perdana 1976″ school magazine. The one above is taken with all the teachers that taught the various subjects for our class.

I have not met most of those in the picture especially the girls (ladies) – and definitely not able to recognise them anymore without proper introduction (recalling rather). That happened a couple of years ago when I was at the Ministry of Health and passed by a lady who suddenly said “do I know you from somewhere?” We then started recalling various work places and then whether it was at the university – no, she was from University Malaya and I was from Universiti Pertanian (UPM). Which does not make sense then.

Then we go back to the school we were. That is where were together in the sixth form. She was Wan Mahani Wan Ismail from Upper Six Arts 1.

Try and guess the names of those in the photo below which was scanned from the school magazine using the clue from the above photo and names given earlier. I wonder why were Nik Ghani dan myself looking somewhere else!

Mariah Carey and the Barbie doll herself Nicki Minaj are this holiday season’s must-have toys. The two ladies pose behind plastic packaging on set of Mariah’s video for “Up Out My Face (Remix).” The clip, which was filmed last week in Los Angeles, was directed by Nick Cannon. Look for the song on Mimi’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album, due February 23.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon jetted to Aspen, Colo., over the weekend for their second Christmas as a married couple. The festive diva returns to the snowy city each year to celebrate the holiday. While strolling through town, Nick turned his camera on the paparazzi.

Mariah is enjoying her vacation before she kicks off her “Angels Advocate” tour next month. She will perform in concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve.

Ok so in all honesty, I think the music wasn’t as strong as it was say a few years ago. But none-the-less there were songs taht I just had to press replay on when I got on youtube, or forced to buy the album just to listen to that song.  Well..let’s get started….

30. “Drop it low” Ester Dean ft. Chris Brown- I was more obsessed with the beat than the song….

29. “I Invented Sex …Remix” Trey Songz ft. Usher and Keri Hilson- Eh Keri wasn’t the most helpful on the track, but Usher made up for it.

27. “Every Girl” Young Money Entertainment- I liked this song…that is until i saw it performed live at teh BET Awards…

Singer, MARIAH CAREY, appeared on the LOPEX TONIGHT show. She talks about what colour she is!

Mariah Carey was the lead guest on Wednesday’s episode of “Lopez Tonight.” She spoke to the comedian about her hazardous Valentine’s Day, being subjected to fluorescent lighting while filming Precious, and her mixed heritage. She also performed “Obsessed.”

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is the gift that keeps on giving. The festive diva, wearing a sexy Santa suit, performs the song in promos for the NBA’s Christmas Day games. The full commercial airs December 25 on ABC.

Mariah will film two videos this week for her Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album. One is for “Angels Cry” with Ne-Yo and the other for “Up Out My Face” with Nicki Minaj. Both are said to be directed by Nick Cannon.

The details for the dance edition of the remix album are out. It’ll be done entirely by Chicago DJ’s Jump Smokers. No David Morales for us. No Miguel Migs. No Junior Vasquez. Yes, we’ll have to settle for a midwestern American remixer for this. This one is just OK. We can do without the additional vocals in the beginning. Let’s just hope she goes back into the studio for her vocals and does some wailing.

I’m listening to my obnoxious Party in the USA song. And I’m looking for another one that makes me happy too. To kick off my excitement for the day.

Ah, Mariah! Yes, there’s something seriously wrong with me. I’m not pretending there’s not. But these songs make me happy. Somehow make me get excited about life.

And she’s having so much fun on that roller coaster. That’s what I want. I want to have fun on this damn roller coaster. I even brought my roller blades back with me from my mom’s house. Oh, it’s on. Okay, well not today with the roller blades. There’s snow and ice on the ground outside. But soon. Soon. I’m preparing myself for fun.

Mariah is bringing out all the star for this double remix album of hers that is supposed to surface sometime this February. First there where the rumors of her working with Beyonce on the track “It’s A Wrap.” Now, we hear that she is already readying up a new single that will be a remix version of the lovely “Angels Cry” with radio darling Ne-Yo. The last piece of new to come about the slew of guest appearances cites Nicki Minaj (known for nothing but being fierce) as a guest rapper on “Up Out My Face.”

Oh Holy Night Performed by Mariah Carey

“O Holy Night” (“Cantique de Noël“) is a well-known Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem “Minuit, chrétiens” (Midnight, Christians) by Placide Cappeau (1808-1877), a wine merchant and poet. Cappeau was asked by a parish priest to write a Christmas poem. It has become a standard modern carol for solo performance with an operatic finish.

In the carol, the singer recalls the birth of Jesus. It was translated into English by Unitarian minister John Sullivan Dwight, editor of Dwight’s Journal of Music in 1855, and lyrics also exist in other languages.

On 24 December 1906, Reginald Fessenden, a Canadian inventor, broadcast the first AM radio program, which included him playing “O Holy Night” on the violin. The carol therefore appears to have been the first piece of music to be broadcast on radio. It later appeared in an edition of carols by Josiah Armes, published by Oxford in 1936, subsequently increasing its popularity.

Mariah Carey is spreading her wings and hitting the road. The diva with the angelic voice has announced dates for the “Angels Advocate” tour, her first major outing in more than three years.

The eight-week, 19-city trek is scheduled to kick off January 2 in Atlantic City and will travel across North America, closing on February 27 in Las Vegas. The songbird will perform material from her latest album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

The opening act will be RydazNrtist, an R&B group signed to Carey’s husband Nick Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment. Tickets for the majority of dates go on sale December 19.

Before embarking on tour, Mimi will ring in 2010 with a New Year’s Eve show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

So, now it’s called the Angels Advocate tour not the Angels Cry tour and it will take off right after her New Year’s gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’ll span a little more than a month and, as of now, it only consists of North American dates. She needs to get around the world with this one as a whole lot of people are waiting for her, never forgetting Australia. Dubai and Beirut again would be nice. Or maybe Port Ghalib. Last night was the bi-annual Christmas dance recital put on by my nieces’ dance studio. My nieces are Mariah, 12, Fran, 5, and Cosette, 4. Mariah has danced for 7 years and is pretty talented. Fran and Cosette just started last year.  This recital raises money for Strong Memorial Child and Adolescent Mental Health.  So it’s for a good cause, yada yada yada.

My husband did not want to go and since we have small kids who can’t stay home alone, I let him skip it. I found myself sitting between my parents at the theater.  My mother has recently realized that she cannot stand my father, and my father enjoys my snarky comments so I was in the perfect spot as far as they were concerned.

Normally, this event is dull and about an hour too long.  I was hoping my brother would show as I enjoy his snarky comments, but he skipped it.  I have a theory as to why: because my family always finds the most annoying people to sit next to. The family always seems normal until the production starts, then they start and we are fucked because the theater is dark and full.  Two years ago it was a person in his mid-20’s that has Down’s Syndrome. When a song by Madonna came on (Holiday, naturally) he started seat-dancing, swinging his arms in the air like he just didn’t care that we were in close quarters. He got my Dad right in the nose. Two years before that was a pair of old ladies that I had to lecture on proper theater etiquette. You know, shut the hell up. This year we sat behind a woman with a ponytail on the top of her head so we couldn’t see, and her ten-year old daughter that was texting. I mean, c’mon, you are ten, what do you have to say that is so damn important?

So Mariah does her first performance, ballet, whatever.  After Mariah’s first dance out marched Cosette. Everyone oohs and aahs and the first kid in the line out to the stage takes one look at this and keeps right on walking right off stage. Fortunately, my niece has more presence of mind, or at least a stronger desire to be the center of attention, and stopped where she was supposed to.

Then even younger kids came on stage. This one girl on the end got really into the dance, but she didn’t seem to have any clue as to what the other kids were doing. The highlight of this dance was when she randomly spun in a circle, did a kick and fell to the ground. I have been attending dance recitals for nearly 25 years. This was the first fall I had witnessed. My father nearly fell out of his seat laughing, yelling ”I called it! The audience cheered when she got up.

At this point I look over at my mother and see that she is listening to her MP3 player.

The best dance was Mariah’s last dance. They performed some hip-hop routine to Christmas rap music. I looked over to see if my sister had started reading her Bible furiously to counteract religious music set to a heathen beat. It appeared she had forgotten to bring it with her. 

That was the best dance, but my favorite was for more personal reasons.  So out Fran’s class comes in reindeer costumes. Now, Fran has a lot of self-confidence. If thats what you want to call it. Basically, she thinks she is fabulous and should always be in charge because of her fabulousness, whether or not it infringes on the rights of others. This is constantly reinforced by her parents. So she marched out there, and unlike the rest of the kids, she doesn’t look around at the others to make sure she is doing the right steps. This kind of confidence is not unnoticed by five-year olds and they watch her to make sure they are doing ok. This is working out well until, right around the same time I turned to my mother and said “Boy, Fran really knows her steps”, Fran forgot her steps and basically stopped dancing, except for a spastic kick or arm throw here and there. However, she continues to do even this with such self-assurance that the other kids follow suit until all of the kids that are on stage that can see Fran are pretty much just standing there, having seizure-like activity. Naturally, I was thrilled to see that a relative of mine had caused the downfall of half of a dance in front of three-quarters of the town of Ontario. I laughed and laughed until the tears rolled down my cheeks and my father was practically falling out of his seat laughing at me while my mother hushed us as discreetly and loudly as she possibly could.

When I got home I regaled my husband with tales of the bi-annual dance benefit. He was quite disappointed to find out that I had a good time. He plans on attending next year. I plan on not sitting next to my Dad.
