Torys’ Chief Marketing Officer Stuart Wood is leaving the firm in March 2012 to pursue “something more entrepreneurial.” Heenan Blaikie‘s marketing chief Karen Mclean is leaving the firm and clearing her mind on a six-month adventure sailing trip. Gowling Lafleur Henderson‘s Evelyn Dempsey, the firm’s Director of Marketing & Business Development, is also departed.

The only known replacement so far is Carolyn MacKinnon, formerly of Blake, Cassels & Graydon, who has moved to Gowlings as Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer.

The last few months also saw Alison Janzen’s departure from Fraser Milner Casgrain after the firm let 9 of its 12 marketing staff go. Janzen was National Director of Marketing and Communications for the firm.
