An’ it’s all over folks! Hopefully you all took advantage of the double xp weekend. I tried to as much as I could an’ I”m pretty happy with where I got. I’ve been spending a lot of time on my Sorc but I don’t dare call it my main. I have no main at this point in time! This’ never happened to me before, lol, I’ve always picked my class an’ stuck with it. With Aion, though, they’ve gone an’ made nearly every class appealing to me. Sons of bitches, they made a good game, lol!

Had my first group experience as an official CC character. After a long an’ successful run through the Krall missions in Verteron I can confidently state that CC is a piece of cake but only when certain conditions are met… Marks! Absolutely necessary, you need the Zzz atop the mobs head to make sure the nubs don’t tag what you’re sheeping. … That’s about the only real variable aside from your gear. Having competent players makes everything go smoothly (usually). Unfortunately, I didn’t have that tonight, lmao, but they weren’t terrible. Was a first for more than half the members of the party (being in the outpost, surrounded by elites), an’ there were a handful of times when I had to keep 3-4 under control. Man, at 21 it’s pretty brutal… All I’ve got is roots, sleep an’ Curse of Roots (Stigma) an’ unfortunately the 30 second CD on that stigma skill isn’t very forgiving.

Anywho, going to call it a night.

International Lawyers Bruce Marks and Gene Burd Featured at Noviy Most Press Conference in Dnepropet

International Lawyers Bruce Marks and Gene Burd Featured at Noviy Most Press Conference in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. Expert Commentary Offered on the Pavlo Lazarenko case.

December 20, 2009, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine – Attorneys Bruce Marks and Gene Burd from the Philadelphia law firm of Marks, Sokolov and Burd were the guests at the IA New Bridge Press Center to discuss the status of the Pavlo Lazarenko case. Lazarenko was recently sentenced to a 97-month prison term and is expected to remain in custody until fall 2012. As a Ukrainian politician and former Prime Minister, Lazarenko was found guilty in the United States of money laundering, wire fraud and extortion in 2004.

Having begun his political career in Dnepropetrovsk, the Lazarenko case has been closely followed by American lawyers in Kyiv, Ukraine and the United States, as well as the general public. As a presidential representative of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Pavlo Lazarenko was a supporter of former President Kravchuk, but later formed ties with newly elected President Kuchma who initially appointed him to the Cabinet Ministers of Ukraine and later to Prime Minister. During his tenure as Prime Minister, Lazarenko reputedly looted in excess of $300M from the Ukrainian people.

Lazarenko’s resignation in 1997, his subsequent political activities and his later attempts to elude capture attracted the interest of many, including Marks, Sokolov & Burd, which maintains a Ukraine law office. As American lawyers familiar with the court proceedings, Bruce Marks and Gene Burd were invited to explain the developments in the case to the Ukrainian audience.

Basics of the Lazarenko Case

With their knowledge of American law, its interplay with the Ukrainian issues, as well as the underlying political circumstances, the Philadelphia attorneys reviewed the basic events of the case:

* February1999: Lazarenko Detained by US Immigration Authorities
* June 1999: Detention Status Changed to Criminal
* May 2000: Ukrainian Authorities Requested Extradition for Murder
* June 2003: Released to 63-Month House Arrest
* October 2008: Imprisoned Based on Conviction for Money Laundering, Wire Fraud and Extortion

Afterward, Marks and Burd, though primarily dealing with commercial disputes resolution, each offered insight based on their experience as an international litigator:

Lazarenko’s Prison Sentence

Bruce Marks used his experience as an international litigator, as well as a Philadelphia lawyer to address Lazarenko’s prison sentence. Initially, the former Ukranian Prime Minister was facing 108 months in prison, however some charges were dropped lowering potential prison time to 97 months. Having already served 50 months, Lazarenko’s sentence was could be further lowered for good behavior, which was discussed at length. Mr. Marks indicated that Pavlo Lazarenko will remain in prison for another 334-35 months which should place his release date sometime in October 2012.

Lazarenko’s Deportation Upon Release

Gene Burd discussed what would happen after Pavlo Lazarenko’s release, since the United States deports convicted criminals upon their release. With the numerous complications of the case, every citizen and the lawyers from Ukrainian law firms are interested in Lazarenko’s final destination. “Usually, the individual is either deported to the country from which they came; in this case Greece, or Ukraine – the country of citizenship” suggested Burd as Lazarenko had been originally detained when coming into the United States from Greece. “However, deportation to Greece would require its consent which would be a political issue; thus, the most likely alternative will be Ukraine” added Burd. “There are still other possibilities such as the agreement of a third country to accept him, or he can avoid deportation and move to a country of his choice if it accepts him.”

About Marks, Sokolov & Burd LLC

Marks, Sokolov & Burd is an international law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kyiv, Ukraine and Moscow, Russia.
Anthropology 412i: Intercultural Communication—A

Art 327: Graphic Design II: Intermediate Graphic Design—A

Art 331: Advertising I: Introduction to Concept Development—A

Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies 365i: Women & Pop Culture—B

I’m wondering if the grade will be curved for my women’s studies class, since that grade nor the advertising grade are actually final yet. But it’s likely that it is what it is. The only reason it matters to me is because of the scholarship I have, which requires that I maintain a very high GPA in order to extend the scholarship from year to year.

But otherwise, it’s nothing more than just a letter and just a number. You can’t quite attach personal attributes to something so singular and mechanical.

There’s lots to do. I have applied the base layer to most of the drawing, and have a small amount of the door, a mug and a window frame to complete before I start building up the tonal layers.

This drawing is a lot more complicated than it looks. It’s full of marks, stains, shadows and textures. I am using Prismacolors, Polychromos and Coloursoft pencils on Canson pastel board.

I shall ‘beaver’ away at it over the next few weeks.

As the minutes ticked by Wednesday night in a Bethlehem funeral home, two city police officers in fu

As the minutes ticked by Wednesday night in a Bethlehem funeral home, two city police officers in full uniform stood at the side of Sgt. Mark Renninger.

They were not the first to take on the somber duty. Police officers have been with Renninger and three fellow squad members constantly since they were killed by a gunman last week in Washington state.

And now that Renninger is back in his hometown of Bethlehem, his body will be guarded around the clock by two volunteers from area police departments until he is laid to rest Friday morning.

It is a silent sign of respect for their fallen brother – a vigil that his fellow officers in Lakewood, Wash., had kept every day after his death.

“He will not be left alone, and we owe that not only to Lakewood police, but to Sgt. Renninger’s family and friends,” said Bethlehem police Capt. David Kravatz. “Someone will be with him always.”

With that same dedication, Kravatz and dozens of others have been planning Friday’s funeral since Connell Funeral Home announced last week that Renninger’s burial would be in Bethlehem.

They will need to accommodate thousands of officers who will arrive in Bethlehem to pay their respects. A bagpipe band from the New York Police Department will attend, along with representatives from nearly every local police department and both Pennsylvania and New Jersey state troopers.

“It’s taken a lot of people an incredible amount of planning, and we want to have everything worked out to the smallest detail,” Kravatz said. “We’re on the desk phone, the cell phone, the computer, the radio … . We want everything to go smoothly.”

Wednesday’s memorial service in Tacoma, Wash., for Renninger and three fellow Lakewood police officers was one of the largest in the state, drawing 20,000 mourners and a procession of 2,000 vehicles.

Authorities said Renninger, a former Army Ranger and nationally known SWAT trainer, and his fellow officers were targeted by Maurice Clemmons in a crowded coffee shop as they prepared for their shift. Two days later, on Dec. 1, Clemmons was killed by a Seattle patrolman after being found near a broken-down vehicle on the side of a road.

For Friday’s ceremony at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, notices were sent to police departments across the country and city police are helping coordinate visiting police departments from throughout Pennsylvania plus New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia.

One police officer from Colorado Springs, Colo., who grew up in Bethlehem, plans to make the trip, as will Lakewood officers, Kravatz said.

He said police are estimating 4,500 officers might attend Bethlehem’s service and hundreds of mourners could line up along the procession route.

Bethlehem police Deputy Commissioner Stuart Bedics invites the public to line the procession route and show their respect for Renninger by displaying a flag, saluting or holding a hand over their heart.

“It would be a fitting tribute to Sgt. Renninger and his family,” Bedics said.

After Renninger’s service at Stabler, dozens of bagpipers from police departments in New York City and Camden County, N.J., will perform. The procession will move from Stabler to Liberty High School, where Renninger graduated in 1989.

At the front steps of the school, as the high school bagpipe band plays, the casket will be put on a horse-drawn caisson to go to Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Behind the caisson will be Raven, a horse from the Bethlehem Police Department’s newly formed mounted unit. The black horse will be riderless, with boots reversed in the stirrups, the symbolic send-off for a fallen warrior, said Capt. John Sarnicky of the mounted unit. A saber will hang from the horse’s black saddle.

He said the custom dates to the 12th century when a horse was sacrificed to serve a fallen warrior in the next world.

“It’s an honor only for an officer killed in the line of duty,” Sarnicky said. “It symbolizes the last ride or for someone who will ride no more.”

The service may be the largest police funeral in Bethlehem since the 1997 death of officer Daniel Rice, a 26-year-veteran and the first Bethlehem officer to die in the line of duty since 1969.

About 1,000 police officers and mourners formed a mile-long procession to pay their respects to Rice, who died at age 49 after a car hit his police vehicle.

One of the Bethlehem officers to escort Renninger’s body to the city Wednesday night from Philadelphia International Airport was Stephen Marks, who was shot twice during a 2006 gun battle with a robbery suspect.

Marks is the only Bethlehem officer to be shot in the line of duty and survive.

Yesterday I took a trip out to the farming property of Cheshunt, a 140 klm round trip from my place.

Yesterday I took a trip out to the farming property of Cheshunt, a 140 klm round trip from my place. It was an overcast morning with showers hanging from the Great Western Tiers nearby. It was very quiet, extremely quiet.

I went out to photograph a number of subjects that I wanted to draw in coloured pencil and also to produce a folio of digital prints for a photographic group that I had recently joined. With me I took the mug that I had found earlier in the year and placed it in several locations that I photographed.

I have included some samples of the images I took. You will notice a common theme – bird poo! Yay!! Am I weird or am I weird?

How do you react to these images now that you know what they are? These are only in their basic stages and there’s a lot more to be done to each of them.

Drawing these in coloured pencil will be a real challenge. Recently I bought a box of 72 Derwent Coloursoft pencils and I think they will be ideally suited to this task, more-so than the Polychromos and Prismacolors I normally use.

I went back to explore the two rooms that I have drawn recently and found more graffiti on one of the doors.

A great number of the 126 photos I took have given me much optimism regarding future artworks.

I’ve written previously about the role of bottom marks, how they function something like tatto

I’ve written previously about the role of bottom marks, how they function something like tattoos or face paint, as a lasting (for a while) statement of identification and alignment with the authority figure. As a top, they are indisputable evidence of where you’ve been and the impact you have had. Not every spanking should leave marks, but when it happens it lengthens the spanking consciousness and allows her or forces her to take it wherever she goes. They are a physical manifestations of a state of mind.

But you don’t get marks without pain. Now spanking must be painful to a degree. Certainly if it can be laughed off then it is ineffective if not seriously corrosive. But seeing someone in pain is, to me, a turn-off. The way I see it, pain is a byproduct of a good spanking – necessary, integral, but not its fundamental point. Or put it this way, if I was trying to cause her pain as the main point I could just as well put cigarettes out on her bottom. That would be sore. But completely uninteresting. This is where the spanker and the sadist part ways.

Similarly with humiliation. A certain humiliation – undress – submissive position – respectful speech – is necessary for the spanking to be effective, but there are better ways to produce humiliation per se. Boot licking and all that. Not remotely interesting to me.

So pain is a byproduct. Humiliation is a byproduct. The spanking ‘product’ itself is, to me, impact. Spanking is an act of direct impact. That’s what’s interesting and meaningful. It is a way for me to say: I’m going to have an impact on you (your behaviour, your attitude, your delicious sassiness, whatever) in a way that is both unequivocal and unassailable, but physically (pain) safe and emotionally (humiliation) respectful. Bottom spanking is, at heart, an impact ritual.

There’s nothing quite like a squirming bottom, wriggling to absorb the impact. There’s nothing like knowing a well-smacked bottom is walking around under that skirt that is walking next to you down the street. That’s impact. That’s what’s addictive.

Matt may be a little too optimistic about the Skins chances with his latest article, but back here o

Matt may be a little too optimistic about the Skins chances with his latest article, but back here on Planet Earth the Skins have about as much chance of beating the Saints as the Detroit Lions did. Not to say I wouldn’t love an upset, I’ll be cheering for one, but I’m not delusional.

5. Injuries On Friday’s injury report both teams listed a number of players. The Saints outweigh the Skins in quantity, but not impact. A healthy Skins team would have trouble against the much better Saints; without playmakers on offense (Portis, Sellers) and defense (Hall, Haynesworth), the Skins will barely be able to hang on.

4. The Big Play The Redskins D has been susceptible to the Big Play all year. Last week it seemed like every Eagles receiver was able to get open at least once 20 yards downfield. In the Redskins most recent win against the Broncos on November 15th, star Denver receiver Brandon Marshall was left wide open twice for Touchdown catches- one for 75 yards and one for 40 yards. The Saints wideout Marques Colston is tied for first for the most catches of 20+ yards with fifteen. The Saints 2nd WR Devery Henderson has eleven. Even if the Skins can keep Drew Brees off the field for the majority of the game, the quick-strike ability of the Saints is too much.

3. Too many weapons The Saints simply have too many offensive weapons. With a secondary depleted by injuries it is unlikely that there is going to be much man coverage in the Skins defensive gameplan. The problem is that their have been breakdowns in the Skins zone coverage often in the past few games. The Skins defensive players either do not know their assignments or are not recognizing when players enter their coverage area quickly enough. Either way opposing teams are getting more wide open pass catching opportunities than should be seen in a professional game.

2. The Saints blitzes will overwhelm the O-Line The Redskins have had no consistency on the offensive line this year. This week Mike Williams is back in at Right Guard after Edwin Williams disappointed last week. Not that it matters, neither is a starting caliber Guard, and to be frank, neither is most of the present offensive line. Stephon Heyer is especially suspect. If he is beat on a few blitz packages, he is likely to get jumpy and start committing false start penalties. The Saints D is going to be in Campbell’s face all day, and he is not going to be able to establish his rhythm.

1. The Two-Minute Drill Even if the Redskins can keep this game close by some miracle, they will find a way to lose. For two weeks straight the Redskins have squandered away slim leads. If the Redskins offense is put on the field to win the game late, it won’t. Jim Zorn and Jason Campbell have perfected the art of failing at a two minute drills. I think this is a combination of the fact that Zorn gets to call the plays for the two-minute drill and the Redskins offense has no audibles. The more I see Zorn coach the more I’m convinced he couldn’t call plays for PeeWee football. Campbell is then stuck with Zorn’s idiotic calls because he has no audibles. Campbell also has to stay more collected during high pressure situations, he too often does something stupid with too little time left.

It does not look great for the Redskins tomorrow, but like all Skins fans I’ll be hoping for a Miracle.

Term 1 ended in mysecondary school and now I have all my marks.

Highest was Music, and Art with 100%

Then math – 98% : I could have got better but this f-ing teacher takes off mark of rlly unnecessary stuffs.

Then Social Studies – 97%: It went down from 98 but still fine;;

Then Science – 96%: Could have done better if I was reading the questions properly.

Planning-93%: I hate that entire Resume thing;;

English-89%: Well, as a ESL person (I’m not in ESL but I do speak English as my second language) I think this is okay. I think it’s my grammar that puts down a lot of my marks. I need to work harder.

Finally…dududududu~ P.E>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, P.E. I’m like really upset. I am in fact really bad at p.e. I truly suck. I understand I didn’t get much marks for my valleyball skills or whatever but 19/25 for participation? Man, I’m devoted in getting high marks and I do everything. I’ve been putting things up and away (equipments) and always actively doing things and WTF? Even people who fought with each other in class got higher marks than me. I was so enraged – I almost cried when I talked to the teacher about this. She was just like “I’ll have a look at it one more time.” But you know what Ms.K? F*** YOU.

Heewww…Sorry for the swearing but I really needed that.I was really upset.

Oh well, I’ll just do better next time.

I enjoy my darkness and my light. I have the highest self esteem of my entire life. As noted previously, I enjoy my marks and bruises. The thing is, though, that drop happens. To everyone.

I often get drop triggered by people expressing concern or upset. When I’m not looking, my brain twists these emotions into very negative thoughts. There must be something Wrong with me if That Person is concerned about what I have done. I am a Bad Person if they are disturbed by what I did. He is Mad at me because what I had did limited what he can do. None of these statements are true, but they stick in my head sometimes.

I come out of drop faster than I used to. I can recognize it as drop, I can remind myself that those thoughts are false. I remember the scene and how much fun it was, and how happy it made us both. I write about the scene and explore the joy of the experience. I also, whenever possible, talk to both the person involved and the person who triggered the drop. Sometimes this is the same person, but not always, and when it’s not, I also remind myself that they did not get to witness the scene and are only judging the aftermath, from their own limited point of view.

Also Chocolate. Chocolate always helps.

I seem to have more readers now. It’s about time to get comment conversations going. How do you deal with drop? What are your triggers?

New York must have been jealous of Californians homophobic tendencies when confronted with a vote to

New York must have been jealous of Californians homophobic tendencies when confronted with a vote to legalize same-sex marriage.

Gay Marriage had already cleared one half of the New York legislature, the state assembly. It had the support of Governor David Paterson, and a majority of New Yorker’s, in a recent poll, approved of legalization for gay marriages.

So what happened?

The New York Daily News reports that…After a historic debate that lasted close to three hours, the Senate today rejected a bill that would have made New York the sixth state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage.

The final vote was 24-38. Eight Democrats voted “no” – Addabbo, Aubertine, Diaz Sr., Huntley, C. Kruger, Monserrate, Onorato, Stachowski – while not a single Republican voted “yes.”

It was held up and eventually defeated by a sharply divided New York state senate. Although Democrats are in the majority, they lost the support of some of their conservative members. All the Republican state senators voted against the bill.

The New York state senate leaders wouldn’t even allow debate on the gay marriage until now, because there was no actual will by the Senator’s to acknowledge or affirm same-sex marriage.

New York also doesn’t allow civil unions, but has several laws, executive orders and court decisions that grant many of the rights to gays long enjoyed by married couples. What it does not grant is equality, setting up an apartheid like system for gays in New York, and most of our great nation.

This action by the New York Republicans and weak Democratic leaders will reflect what I predict will happen to Healthcare reform in the United States Senate.

Even though we all voted in a majority of Democratic Congressman, there seems to be a naive belief by the Democratic Congressman that if they move toward a middle ground, and compromise with the homophobic racist American freedom hating neocons in the Republican party, that they will be seen as moderate to the Republican voters in their district, which is crazy.

No matter how oppressive the Democrats are to the American’s that voted them in to office, the Republicans still will hate you. You have not impressed nor have you gained any ground with the Republican voters, but what you have done is proven to the Republicans just how much of a hypocrite you really are.

There is no compromise when it comes to personal freedoms, and the freedom of choice.

We all as people have a right to pursue any legal and non-violent form of happiness that we so choose. The fact that same-sex marriage is not legal is a failure of our society.

I am not gay, so if a million gay men and women choose to marry each other, …it will not have any affect on my life at all, other than the fact that I might have to decide on what wedding gift’s I should give to each couple, as I would anticipate attending a lot more weddings.

But any action to stop them, will lead to a slippery slope of amendments to restrict all of our personal freedoms, and that will directly hurt many of us, straight or gay. I am for freedom,I am against fascism.

I say this to my gay Americans out there, these laws that citizens have to vote on remind me of the outcome of some of the very first Civil Rights legislation that was voted on right after the Civil War, and all bills that related to the freedom and full rights for black Americans, were all defeated soundly in both houses of Congress.

The American people, given a chance to vote on freedom, will always vote against it. Republicans are trained from a very young age to vote against their own self-interest, and this legislation is no different.

The ugly cloud of homophobic hatred now stretches out from coast to coast…making California just as bad as the haters in New York.

Both coast should clearly be ashamed and embarrassed.

Call and write all of the backwards state Senators in New York, listed in this article linked here, from the New York Daily News… http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2009/12/gay-marriage-fails-24-38.html

The State Assembly had earlier approved the bill, and Gov. David Paterson, perhaps the bill’s strongest advocate, had pledged to sign it.

Immediately after the vote, gay rights advocates chanted: “Equal rights now!” Many said they weren’t surprised by the decision. Most, including Paterson, said they at least wanted a floor debate and vote.

Senate sponsor Thomas Duane, a Manhattan Democrat and the Legislature’s first openly gay member, vowed not to give up his life’s goal.

“I’m like a dog with a bone,” said Duane in his closing remarks on the floor, when defeat was becoming clear. “I wouldn’t let go of anyone … Because I don’t give up. I don’t know how to!”

The message should be clear to gay rights advocates, the time for civil unrest is here. New York and California set the pace for the rest of America, so the tactic of using the ballot has ended, and the time is now for civil disobediance…or forget about getting married legally.

Choose one….
