Longton, Staffordshire, November 27

Das Hochzeitsjahr 2009 neigt sich langsam dem Ende zu. Die eine oder andere standesamtliche Hochzeit steht noch an, aber insgesamt wird es ruhiger. Ein “Hochzeitsjahr”, auf das ich gerne zurückblicke. Ich habe viele nette Paare kennengelernt, war auf Schlössern, in großen und in kleinen Kirchen, habe mit Müttern zusammen eine Träne vergossen, aber ebenso viel gelacht, bin ins Wasser gesprungen (Gott sei Dank war Sommer ) und habe allen “mein” JA in die Handflächen gemalt. Schön war’s! Und ich möchte mich bei allen Brautpaaren bedanken, deren unvergessliche Stunden ich  fotografisch festhalten durfte!

Aber ich möchte nicht nur nach hinten, sondern auch nach vorne schauen. Daher gibt es aktuell im Dezember ein kleines Angebot für die Brautpaare, die sich in 2010 trauen. Weil es, was auch angesehenen Nachrichtenagenturen schon passiert ist, dieser Tage in einer Provinzgazette wieder einmal falsch dargestellt wurde, hier mal schnell das Prozedere des Grimme Preises, den als renommiert zu attributieren ja schon Redaktionspraktikanten und anderen Grünschnäbeln zur schönen Gewohnheit geworden ist.

Wir alle, die wir dem einfachen fernsehenden Volke angehören, können, zum Beispiel hier, aber auch per Brief, Karte oder Fax, die unserer Meinung nach besonders gelungenen Fernsehsendungen wie auch herausragende Einzelleistungen wie beispielsweise eine exzellente Kameraführung, eine Tonmischung sondergleichen oder eine unübertreffliche Moderation nach Marl melden. Das sind die oft zitierten VORSCHLÄGE. Die noch keinerlei Wertung beinhalten.

Die vorgeschlagenen Sendungen werden von den jeweils zuständigen NOMINIERUNGSKOMMISSIONEN gesichtet und gesiebt. Am Ende dieses nicht einfachen Prozesses stehen die NOMINIERUNGEN. Wer eine solche erhält, darf sich, wenn er meint, das tun zu müssen, schon mal ein wenig brüsten. Nicht aber bei einem VORSCHLAG! Der bedeutet gar nichts!! Nicht wahr, Frau B. und Herr S. – Sie wissen das jetzt auch!?

Nach Ermittlung der Nominierungen treten gesonderte Gremien zusammen, die JURYS, die aus diesen Kandidaten dann endlich die Preisträger auswählen. Nach eingehender Sichtung und langen Diskussionen, im Idealfall unter Ausblendung des persönlichen Geschmacks, dafür unter ständiger Befragung des eigenen Gewissens. Letzteres klappt nicht immer, sonst hätte “Tracks” ja mal einen Grimme Preis abbekommen, aber in der Summe funktioniert das Verfahren doch recht gut. Besser jedenfalls als andere Preis-Ausschreiben, wo man schon allein für die Mühsal der Anreise eine Trophäe geschenkt bekommt. Da könnte ja jeder kommen … Noch eine Formulierungshilfe: Nicht das Grimme Institut vergibt die Preise, die Jurys tun es. Das Institut fungiert als Ausrichter und nimmt keinen Einfluss auf die Entscheidungsfindung.

Halten Sie also Ausschau, geben Sie die Bestleistungen des laufenden Jahres nach Marl durch. Ganz wichtig noch: Die Statuten verlangen “fernsehspezifische” Qualitäten, und sie sind perspektivisch ausgerichtet. Mit anderen Worten: abgefilmtes Kabarett passt hier nicht so gut her, und es gibt auch keinen Preis fürs Lebenswerk. Das sollen mal andere erledigen.

Lough Carra

Lough Carra is a 1,500 hectare marl / limestone lake, located around 16 km straight south from Castlebar. On its eastern shore lies the ruined Moore Hall, home now to an important population of Lesser Horseshoe Bats.

While the land around Moore Hall is now owned by Coillte, and therefore unfortunately mostly planted with non-native conifers, nevertheless, the area is a pleasant one for walking and is particularly child-friendly, being pretty much flat all around.

Indeed, the on-site car park has recently been tarred, which is no harm either when you have the children along.

You’ll be tempted to walk inwards and away from the lake, along the path which completes a circle around the ruins of the big house. This is a nice walk and you can divert into the middle of the circle to view the house. But I’d rather you turned around at the car park and faced the lake. Walk to the right, across a small bridge on the narrow road and then turn immediately left, over a stile and continue in through this largely broadleaf wood, down to the lake shore. It’s nicer.

A few weeks back, saw Blacks freestyle on GSi TV. I noticed the OG member wearing a knitted jumper by the ever growing company Lyle & Scott. Thus, an idea for a new article. I scanned the internet looking for it, and could not find it. So I got in contact with Blacks himself and asked him where he got it from. I searched high and low again for it, and still no luck. So, I just assumed that this potential article was dead in the water, and left it alone. Thankfully, I saved the picture of the actual jumper, and I came across it today. I was on Page 8 of 405 products (there’s a lot more pages to go), and I was about to give up looking around the website, until luckily, I came across the jumper. Thank Men’s Designer Clothes Online! I finally found it, hence, this article.

Recklinghausen – Neonazis wollen am letzten Samstag im November in Recklinghausen demonstrieren.

„Für ein Recht auf Zukunft – Arbeit, Freiheit & Brot durch nationalen Sozialismus“ soll das Motto sein. Als Veranstalter werden „Freie Nationalisten aus dem mittleren Ruhrgebiet“ genannt. Bei den Organisatoren dürfte es sich um Neonazis aus dem Kreis Recklinghausen, insbesondere aus Marl, sowie aus Gladbeck handeln. Die Demonstration am 28. November solle keinen „überregionalen/bundesweiten Charakter“ haben, betonen die Veranstalter, die als Redner unter anderem allerdings den Bundesvorsitzenden der „Jungen Nationaldemokraten“, Michael Schäfer, sowie einen „freien Nationalisten aus Leipzig“ ankündigen.

Nicht gefallen dürften manchen „Autonomen Nationalisten“ die Auflagen, die die Veranstalter veröffentlicht haben. „Untersagt“ sind demnach „alle englischen und nicht-themenbezogenen Parolen“. „Darunter fallen auch anti-antifaschistische Parolen“, betonen die Organisatoren. Auch für die Kleidung gibt’s veranstaltereigene Auflagen. „Normal und gesittet“ sollen die Neonazis erscheinen: „Wir repräsentieren immer noch ein Volk, samt Kultur und Identität, keine neuzeitlichen Subkulturen etc. Sonnenbrillen sind angesichts des einsetzenden Winters untauglich.“ (ts)

Zum neunten Mal steht Marl im Zeichen des seit 2001 jährlich gefeierten
Abrahamsfestes. Thema 2009: “Jung und Alt – Kinder dieser Erde”.

Das Abrahamsfest in Marl ist das älteste kontinuierliche Abrahamitische Bildungs- und Begegnungs-Projekt in Deutschland und ist in seiner Programm-Fülle mit Angeboten für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene einzigartig. Daher haben auch Medien wie Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Kultur und Westdeutscher Rundfunk über das letzte 8.Abrahamsfest 2008 begeistert berichtet.

Auch das 9. Abrahamsfest arbeitet zusammen mit MELEZ – dem Festival der Kulturen der Kulturhauptstadt Europas RUHR.2010.

Schirmherr ist der Integrationsbeauftragte des Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen Thomas Kufen (Düsseldorf).

Wirklich, Herr Max Malkus, erst vor ein paar Monaten mit der Linkspartei einen Bürgerantrag gegen Rechts und Gewalt von Rechts einbringen, und dann selber Gewalt propagieren. Schon damals habe ich in einem Leserbrief an die Marler Zeitung darauf hingewiesen, daß laut Angaben der Polizei zur Zeit mehr Gewalt von Links als von Rechts ausgeht. Was für einen Aufschrei hätte es von Ihnen und der Linkspartei gegeben, wenn ein Rechter zu solchen Straftaten via Wahlflyer aufgerufen hätte. Aber was ein Rechter nicht darf, ist in unserem Land einem Linken noch lange nicht verboten, denken Sie. Gottlob sieht die Staatsanwaltschaft das anders und ermittelt in dem Fall. Immerhin sind Sie ja so ehrlich, die geistige Urheberschaft zuzugeben, und das der Aufruf zu Straftaten kein Spaß ist, sondern sehr schnell Ernst wird, kann man in Berlin beobachten, wo Woche für Woche “Bonzenautos” von Leuten Ihres Kalibers mal eben so abgefackelt werden und es laut Polizei nur noch eine Frage der Zeit ist, bis der erste Tote zu beklagen ist. Wer meint, mit Gewalt Probleme in diesem Land lösen zu wollen, hat im Marler Stadtrat nichts verloren. Herr Malkus, tun Sie uns Linken einen Gefallen und ziehen Sie sich solange aus der aktiven Politik zurück, bis Sie erwachsen geworden sind.
