Tim Burton este personajul real, care pentru mine inseamna mai mult decat i aspiratie. Pentru a ajunge la nivelul lui de nebunie, chiar paranoia, iti trebuie ani de risc si de creatie continuua. Si sunt dispusa la multe incercari. Un stil nevrotic de a fi acceptat. Filme de un real succes international. Pictura de imensa imaginatie. Jocuri de cuvinte, nebunie si o doza mica de psihoza au facut dintr-un baiat care in anii de liceu aducea a tocilat, intr-unul dintre cei mai mari si neintelesi genii in viata. Caractere ale unor personaje care par atat de naturale, dar in spatele carora stau ani de creatie si de sudoare. Filme atat de fascinante, diferite si unice, dar totusi cu un numitor comun, un stil demonic si rece in spatele unor comedii de inceput de secol 20 in spatii comune dar totusi imune in fata trecerii timpului.

Welcome to my page dedicated to Lisa Marie. It was many years ago when I sat down and watched Ed Wood. It was a great movie, it was a Tim Burton movie, so of course it was going to be great! It got even better when I saw ‘Vampira’. I felt like a kid again with a silly crush. Who was this strange and mysterious woman who gave me butterflies in my stomach? A little bit of searching on the web yielded my answers - Lisa Marie.

I had no idea that her resume was so varied. Film star, poet, writer, photographer, model, muse… the list seems endless. I certainly didn’t know at that point that her and Tim Burton were dating either. So, I inexplicably started seeing her in magazines, and reading more about her, my crush growing as I did. A couple of times I started tribute pages in Yahoo Groups, but I wanted something that looked a bit more snazzy, so here it is.  Occasionally i’ll Google her or something to see if there is anything new, but it seems a little quiet at the moment. I was very happy when I found out she was starting her own official website – www.lisamarie.com and instantly signed up for the updates. That was a couple of years ago, and alas, nothing other than a front page has been forthcoming.  I did receive an email a few years back when I had a Yahoo group going from someone who claimed to be Lisa… I couldn’t find out otherwise, so we’ll just say it was

Primarily this will have pictures of Lisa, and i’ll post up interesting bits of new info as and when I can find them, and hopefully we’ll see some more action. In the meantime, sit back, enjoy the ride…

As a bouns, Spike put out an article on the Seven Biggest Fake Badasses in Music.  #1 is Glenn Danzig who was the front man for the Misfits (just found out when I read the article):

Glenn has spent most of his career creating the ultimate badass persona. From fronting one the greatest punk bands of all time (Misfits) to being one of the most evil-looking mofos on the planet (Samhain), it seemed pretty apparent that you never wanted to f*** with Mr. Danzig. Not only was Danzig very jacked in the muscle department, he was also extremely vocal about his fight training. Back in the early ‘90s, under martial artist Jerry Poteet, Danzig earned a teaching degree in Bruce Lee’s martial art and life philosophy Jeet Kune Do. These stats made Danzig seem super human and a real-life unstoppable force.Unfortunately for Fiend Club members all over the world, this myth came crashing down just a few years back with a little help from a very notorious viral video:

In the video, a 5′ 3″ Danzig gets into an argument with a very large member of the opening band, pushes him in an act of frustration, only to get knocked the funk out with a single punch. Now I know he wasn’t as young and fit as he use to be, but I think it was a very good thing for Danzig to finally get his ass put in check and let the world know once and for all that he was nowhere near as invincible as his die-hard fans have built him up to be.

Het boek bevat tekstbijdragen van ‘mevrouw Burton’ Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Danny DeVito, huiscomponist Danny Elfman, ‘beroepsdracula’ Christopher Lee en Winona Ryder. Wanneer het boek gaat verschijnen en wat het gaat kosten, is nog niet bekend. Wel zeker is dat de Burtonbijbel deze herfst het levenslicht gaat zien. Wie meer wil weten en wie nu al een exemplaar wil reserveren, moet de supergeweldige website van Tim Burton maar checken!

Timothy William “Tim” Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, writer and artist. He is famed for his dark and quirky films, such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, which he co-wrote and produced. He is also famous for being the director of several blockbusters including Batman, Batman Returns, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Since directing his first feature (Pee-wee’s Big Adventure) in 1985, he has gone on to direct and produce numerous films, many of which have won Academy Awards. He frequently works with close friend Johnny Depp, musician Danny Elfman and partner Helena Bonham Carter.

Burton’s most recent film was 2007’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. His most recent production is the Shane Acker animated sci-fi fantasy 9, a co-production with Timur Bekmambetov. His next film Alice in Wonderland is due for release March 10, 2010.
