El efecto Wave

Aún cuando Google Wave es una herramienta que ni siquiera es una beta, pues para sus creadores apenas en un “preview” es una aplicación que está dando mucho de que hablar.

Gracias a que las tecnologías web cada día están basadas en estándares abiertos es posible que los desarrolladores de la red social puedan incrementar la gama de aplicaciones posibles en toda la web. Google no se ha quedado sentada a ver que pasa con HTML5 y a cambio a apostado por crear Google Wave una aplicación que la defino como el mashup de la web 2.0/3.0, pues está basada en todas las tecnologías, productos y servicios de Google (mapas, documentos, búsquedas, videos, email y chat).

Muchos piensan que Google Wave será el nuevo Facebook o el venidero Twitter, lo cierto es que será algo nuevo que toma en cierta forma características de ambos, de cierto modo, à la Google.

Google Wave pretender ser (pues aún es un preview de aplicación) una herramienta colaborativa en el desarrollo de múltiples actividades, es por ello, que ya hoy día existen grupos de trabajo haciendo uso de la herramienta para crear contenidos colaborativos tales como posts en blogs, brainstorming o cualquier otra tarea en la que la participación entre varios es necesaria.

Si bien las herramientas para crear contenidos de este tipo están asociadas a los wikis y blogs, Google Wave es edición en tiempo real, ya que puedes ver qué cambios se van haciendo y hacer atrás en el tiempo para ver el desarrollo de la conversación.

Me gustaría que Google fuera más abierta a las invitaciones pues tengo muchos amigos que quieren una cuenta, pero esa es la desventaja, si quieres usarlo debes hacerte de una comunidad de usuarios que tenga Google Wave pues si estás sólo (situación en la que estuve) tendrás que probarlo con las extensiones de bots para chat artificial como Eliza bot.

En cuanto a plugins o mejoras adicionales existen varias opciones algunas son juegos, otras reemplazan o buscan por cambios en la conversación (wave), en fin tienes muchos plugins para añadir funcionalidades extras a los waves.

He probado varios de estos añadidos y puedo concluir que el futuro de la herramienta es prometedor al momento que los usuarios vean que es necesario contar de una cuenta de GW para su trabajo, este es un fenómeno que recientemente he notado con algunos grupos de personas cercanos tienen cuenta de GW y para comenzar las reuniones emplean tanto Skype como GW para la edición de proyectos informáticos y otros en la edición de blogs reconocidos en la web.

Existen varias comunidades de usuarios que ha repartido sus invitaciones para interactuar dinámicamente, en mi caso pertenezco a la comunidad de Taringa, una web social en donde intercambias información de todo tipo, primeramente del sub-mundo informático hasta temas políticos y sociales; nosotros hemos conformado una comunidad de unos 50 participantes en donde hemos discutido sobre cómo usar Google Wave hasta temas como “¿Qué experiencias tienes con el Software Libre?” o programación.

Con el tiempo veremos más usuarios y conoceremos las ventajas tanto por las nuevas características como por el valor que da los usuarios al uso de esta herramienta, por el momento este será un post más a los cientos que existen sobre la valoración del efecto wave.

從 Google Trends 看來, Iphone 也不是他的對手,更不用說 e-Learning 了…簡直是地平線

不過,還是有很高興,有人還是會討論有關 Facebook 運用於教學的方法,結合 Social Media 的整合式能力,加上類似個人履歷經營的方式,可說是可以從就學到求職一路通行。

Bits & Pieces 2 (1980)

Först måste jag göra vågen för snubben som satt ihop det här klippet. Han har nämligen bemödat sig med att göra ett bildspel med omslagsbilder till den skiva som just mixas i klippet. Helt underbart och det gör att det blir lite kul att kolla på klippet. Annars brukar man ju bara lyssna när dylika klipp spelas på YouTube och där inte finns nån riktig video till. Här blir det istället en riktigt underhållande tillbakablick på musikhistorien när man får se skivetiketter och omslag avlösa varandra i nån slags orgie i nostalgiska referenser.

Att jag tog med det här klippet hänger ihop lite med det inlägget jag hade om Grand Master Flash och The Wheels Of Steel nyligen. Den låten fick ju nämligen status som en egen låt trots att det ju faktiskt är lite av en mashup eller medley som det kallades förr. Får nog gå igenom alla såna begrepp vid tillfälle för jag inser att det har ändrat betydelse till viss del genom åren. Hur som helst så är Bits & Pieces, som kom 1980, ett bra exempel på dåtidens medley som var oerhört populära bland oss DJ’s. Gemene man var dock rätt frustrerade över dem då de ju bara fick höra snuttar av sina favoriter.

Men sen fanns det medleys som bara var skräp och det var när det var dåligt mixat eller dåligt klippt. Eller så fanns det skräckexempel där en del originallåtar var med men sen hade man fyllt ut resten med covers. Finns dock guldkorn även bland skräckexemplen och jag ska se om jag vid tillfälle kan ta med ett sådant. Har nämligen ett sånt som poppar upp i skallen just nu men nu när jag kollade så finns det inte på YouTube så då får man väl fixa det själv.

Hur som helst så tillhör Bits & Pieces 2 ett av mina favoritmedleys från den tiden, dels för att det är bra mixat med tanke på dåtidens tekniska möjligheter. Sen är det en sån suveränt bra blandning på låtar så man kan få ståpäls för mindre.

Egentligen så blir ju titel aningens längre om man ska vara riktigt noga, dvs Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five – The Adventures Of Grandmaster Flash On The Wheels Of Steel, men jag gillar inte när titeln under klippen blir mer än en rad långa. Det stör estetiken på något vis.

Hur som helst så var ju den här skivan extremt banbrytande när den kom. Det var ett förebud om vad framtiden skulle komma att bjuda på. Aldrig tidigare så hade jag hört en skiva där man så hämningslöst mixade ihop och scratchade så att det blev en ny låt och inte bara ett långt megamix. För av någon anledning så fick den här skapelsen status som en egen låt trots att den egentligen är ett enda mashup. Kan inte riktigt förklara varför eftersom det både före och efter denna funnits megamixar och mashups, men som aldrig fått status som en egen låt utan setts för vad de varit.

Det är i alla fall ett stycke musikhistoria som med tiden skulle vara med om att sätta en snöboll i rullning i form av den upphovsrättsdebatt vi har idag. Själv ser jag den här låten med lite mer nostalgiska ögon och minns tillbaka när man hörde den första gången och det enda man kunde säga var WOW.

A mashup is a web page or application that combines data or functionality from two or more external sources to create a new service.

International Governance is the political interaction of transnational actors aimed at solving problems that affect more than one state or region when there is no power of enforcing compliance.

Information provided in mashups are updated within seconds when users across the globe update their activities. The site provides users with a space with all the information they want without them having to go to various sites to search.

Mashups can serve international governance through e-governance. This is done through better communication with its own country’s citizens along with the rest of the world. The government will be able to feel closer to their people and hear their voices as oppose to only doing what they feel is right. Vice versa, this allows for everyone to feel closer to the government and be more aware or informed of the events that are going around them. Also, the government can be more efficient when implementing projects, services and business with different countries around the globe.

It can provide the government with the right and effective tool for international governance.
