But what the news of this makeover does tap into is an unsettling truth: the loss of innocence can sometimes throw us into shock. In the big book of life, Childhood — that time of wide-eyed naivete and unfiltered joy — is a chapter that is becoming slimmer and slimmer. About as slim as the new hips that Dora has grown into.

Barbie- No veig perquè m’hauria de retirar jo quan Madonna encara és capaç d’obrir-se completament de cames, tan en sentit real com figurat, tenint un any més que jo.

AG- Molta gent insinua que la teva esvelta figura pot induir a l’anorèxia a moltes de els teves joves seguidores…

B- Jo cada dia m’esmorzo un entrepà de chopped amb foi-gras i durant el matí m’endrapo tots els kit-kats i phoskitos que em caben a la boca. I això per no parlar per la meva devoció per la botifarra amb seques!

AG- Així doncs, quin son els teus secrets de bellesa? Botox? Cirurgia? Una faixa?

B- Doncs no! Molt més senzill: em drogo i molt. Primer vaig provar tímidament els barbitúrics (que deuen el seu nom a la meva persona), després em fotia ketamina i tripis com lacasitos i darrerament ja m’he llençat en braços de l’heroïna. No vegis quins viatgets em foto cada vespre!

AG- Et consideres una icona del glamour?

B- Realment és tot una pose obligada pels meus tirans amos de Matel; en la meva vida privada vaig a comprar al Dia en xandall, tacons i mitjons blancs. Quan quedo amb les meves amigues anem a veure quintos en un bar de mala mort mentre veiem els partits del Betis i juguem al mus amb un escuradents a la boca.

AG- En quant al teu sonat divorci amb el Ken, em pots confirmar o desmentir els rumors de la seva suposada homosexualitat?

B- Molt pitjor que aixó!! No té polla!! Es un eunuc! Entre els seus pantalons hi ha una superfície plana! I mira, jo, per aquí no hi passo, a mi m’agraden les tranques que m’omplin la boca, tu ja m’entens! Així doncs varem aguantar la farsa durant un temps de cara al públic, mentre jo em traginava a tots els Gi-joes,i Masters del Univers sencer. Estic feta tota una barjaula desmelenada

AG- Aqua, Killer Barbies, Nancis Rubias… sembla que has estat una veritable inspiració per al món del pop…

B- Mamarratxes insolents! Jo tan sols escolto Richard Wagner, tota la meva vida m’he sentit identificada amb les Walquiries!

AG- Hi ha qui diu que les Bratz amenacen el teu imperi.

B- Aquestes aprenents no saben el que és la vida! Un dia les vaig portar de festa i al quart cubata ja anaven marejades, mentre que jo vaig tirar-me tota la nit ben amorrada a l’ampolla d’orujo galleg. Segur que no saben ni diferenciar entre la farlopa i l’speed. Aficionades! Duraran quatre dies!

AG- Com et defineixes políticament?

B- Soc completament neocon. Per mi Esperanza Aguirre i Sarah Palin son icones feministes a les que seguir en la vida. M’encanta el món de les aparences i les families felices de cara a la galeria mentre que a casa s’apallissen. Rihanna es l’exemple a seguir.

AG- Parlant de feminisme: moltes representants d’aquesta ideologia t’han titllat de frívola i de ser una transmissora dels valors patriarcals, segons els quals una dona tan sols és un bell objecte sexual al servei d’un mascle…

B- Aquestes reprimides el que necessiten és un bon polvo. Els hi trencaria la cara i, sobretot, el nas! Jo mai m’he sotmès a cap mascle, al contrari, m’agrada bastant més el rol de dominatrix sàdica. Tu no m’has vist quan em poso burra, tinc molt perill!.Més d’un se m’ha quedat estès al meu poltre de tortures. Ja no queden homes com els d’abans.

AG- Ja per acabar: quins projectes tens de futur?

B- Presentar la meva tesi doctoral en física atòmica sobre els impactes de les ondes lleugeres sobre els núclis moleculars, i aprovar el maleït curset de Sevillanes per correspondència que porto arrossegant des de fa lustres!

In collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Mattel created a Barbie Doll that makes standard Barbie look like a clerk at Wal-Mart. Complete with toothpick legs and shorts that don’t qualify as shorts on several levels, Cowboy cheerleader Barbie will surely inspire thousands – perhaps millions – of little girls to vomit their cafeteria pizza so they’re still sexy in their P.E. shorts.

The harmfully-thin image is so bad, in fact, that it’s now award winning.

The cheerleader Barbie was awarded a TOADY (Toys Oppressive And Destructive to Young Children) last week. Barbie has been guilty of distorting kids’ image of the perfect girl for half a century now, corrupting impressionable minds and objectifying women like perhaps nothing else in our culture.

Ken’s not much better. With his chiseled arms and perfect jaw line, he has created expectations in young girls that were smashed to bits when they realized only 1 in 1,000 guys looked like him. And they were all d-bags of the first degree.

It’s not just looks that Barbie distorts. It’s brains. Let’s not forget that Teen Talk Barbie circa 1994 – not 1950, like you might guess – reminded little kids that “math is hard” for girls. Which means, of course, that some ungodly mixture of Genghis Khan and Ann Coulter created this plastic monstrosity.

In 2000, Mattel unveiled candidate Barbie, who ran for president on the Psychological Trauma ticket. Her campaign platforms were education, animal kindness and the environment – the kind of mommy issues that don’t require tough, masculine choices, like going to war or cracking down on crime. When Chelsea Clinton wins the White House in 2028, she should dissolve Mattel for what it did for her mom’s campaign.

I implore you to hitch a ride on the Barbie hate wagon. Crack is less harmful.

Guitar Hero World Tour (initially referred to as Guitar Hero IV) is a music video game developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane and Activision. Matel, the maker of Barbie is coming up on their 50th anniversary since the dolls were first released to young girls across the world. Just recently, Matel has teamed up with Jeremy Scott, Vera Wang, Bloomingdals, IMG & Council of Fashion Designers of America for a February runway show durring Fashion week to present a little treat for all of us. They have gotten 50 undisclosed fashion designers whom will produce life sized ensembles inspired by Barbie. In addition to this fashion show, Matel has also decided to start a line of cosmetics that are inspired by Barbie herself. The names for the cosmetic lines include “All Doll’d Up” for the cosmetic line and “Plastic Smooth” for the skin care line.

Who knew the doll that sparked women to get plastic surgery to get a body like Barbie and millions of young girls’ anorexia could be doing something this extravagent. Matel hasn’t had publicity like this since Barbie & Ken broke up!
