Mausam was 1975 movie from Gulzar which won two Filmfare awards and a National Award. Sharmila Tagore has appeared in dual role as mother and daughter. Her performance gave National Film Best Actress award.

Dr. Amarnath Gill (Sanjeev Kumar) and Chanda Thapa (Sharmila Tagore) both are lovers. He promises her that, he will return back and marries her after earning more money. But he fails to keep hispromise. She marries an old man and gives birth to a baby girl and dies.

25 years later Amarnath returns back and comes to know about Chanda and her family. He finds her daughter Kalzi (Sharmila Tagore) in a brothel house and brings her to his house. He want to make her into refined woman. But she falls for Amarnath.

It was a feel god movie. Om Shivpuri and Dina Phatak were appeared in two other key roles.

In all these great performances by these revered actors, there is one small cameo I have always been fascinated by in the movie “Deewaar” enacted by Mr. Satyadev Dubey.
Whenever I see that sequence and the way Dubey Sahab has enacted it … I get bowled over by the sheer intensity this actor has put in, in that 2 minute appearance on screen and one is made to understand that its not the length which should matter to the actor but the charaterization matters and also how the director would explore that small character and make it all big and extraordinary.
Is it like this always? or Is it some chemistry which works between the director and the actor?

Hats off to Mr. Yash Chopra and Dubey sahab for that mind blowing sequence and performance in Deewaar.

Most of us actors are into this business of acting becoz of these above gentleman.
Right from childhood .. its been Rajesh khanna or Dharam ji or Amitabh Bachchan .. some imbibing their mannerism .. some their style and some their acting prowess.
